"The Return of the Genius" featured a reunion, 17 years after "Young Sheldon" between Sheldon and Paige. What happened next?

August 2009. Leonard, Raj and Howard are all walking down the corridor at Caltech.

Howard said "I have a great idea, let's not go to lunch with Sheldon. Let the three of just head to the canteen and leave Sheldon in his office."

Before anyone could reply they were interrupted by a small blonde haired lady.

"Excuse me, do you know where I can find Dr. Sheldon Cooper?"

"Please follow us pretty lady, we are on our way to Dr. Cooper's office. What do you want with Sheldon, are you an administrative assistant?"

"No, I am Dr. Paige Swanson, a new member of the Physics academic staff."

Leonard said "Oh yes, I heard that you were coming. I am Dr. Leonard Hofstadter, Caltech Physics. This is Dr. Raj Koothrappali, Caltech Astrophysics. The little ignorant sexist one is Mr. Howard Wolowitz, he is only an engineer. Here is Dr. Cooper's office."

Knock, knock, knock "Sheldon", knock, knock, knock "Sheldon", knock, knock, knock "Sheldon".

"Enter"

Leonard opened the door "Hi Sheldon, lunchtime and you have a visitor."

Sheldon got up from behind his desk "Hello Paige" and he gave her a hug!

"Please go on for lunch without me gentlemen, won't you sit down Dr. Swanson. What brings you here Paige, are you visiting, I thought that you were in Cambridge?"

"I was but now I work here. It was great in Cambridge, working with Hawking was fantastic."

"So why did you leave?"

"Cambridge wanted me to stay but a couple of months ago my father was taken seriously ill so I came home to see him. My mother came to see him as well and to cut a long story short they are now back together. My father now lives in San Diego, I thought it would be good to be close to my parents. I contacted Gablehauser and here I am, I started this week."

"Fantastic, it is great to see you, what are you going to be working on?"

"Grand Unification Theory, I see from your latest papers you are still working on String Theory. How are things with you Sheldon, how is Missy and how are the rest of your family?"
