Now then, first of all. Wow! This story had crossed over 50 Followers with Favourites lacking (as of this writing) just 3 more to 50. This really means a whole lot to me and that I would continue to pump out as much content as I can before my NS ( National Service. Even then, I would try to find time to write when I'm doing it.) So yea, Thank you again for supporting me in your own ways! I appreciate it. Now with that out of the way, let's move on to the comments.

Slimereader11: Well here it is for you; hope you enjoy it.

Now with the comments out of the way, let's move on to the Interlude.

Interlude Blake

Blake found herself in a ruined colosseum alone. With her friends now where to be seen. And yet, all she saw was Jade fighting off an endless horde of Grimm that kept coming endlessly. With him losing ground quickly as more Grimm kept pouring into the arena.

Blake desperately called him out and moved toward him but she can't. All she could realize was that the shadows of Roman Torchwick, Cinder fall and Adam Taurus were all holding her in place no matter how hard she struggled.

"There's no running my dear… Now you would watch as I tear those you love and care all around you, all… Helpless..." Adam spoke to her with echoes that seemed to repeat every word he spoke.

She tried to counter back, but she couldn't… She had a tap that seemed to appear out of nowhere and was tightly secured around her mouth. All she could do was to struggle helplessly.

"You were always weak, Kitty cat." The shadowed version of Torchwick then spoke. "You couldn't do anything without him… It was him that saved you, he was the one that captured yours truly. You did nothing but be a liability to him…"

Blake could only struggle and gasp in horror as Jade had just lost his eye to a nevermore feather that managed to slip by his defence. Jade then could be seen ripping the feather out of his eye before continuing to fight desperately while calling Blake out for help.

But it was useless, she could not help him…

She can't do anything but watch as Jade began to get overwhelmed. All while tears could be seen in Jade's eyes as he desperately called out to her. Begging her to come and help him.

It was then in which the ground of the colosseum began to crumble as the shadows disappeared, leaving her with no time as the ground she was on gave way.

She fell into the ground underneath, all while the world around her seemed to burn as Jade could be heard crying in pain as the Grimm began to rip him apart.

She kept falling, all while the endless tide of Grimm began to fly around her and cover her in darkness.

Back to reality, the cat faunus woke up in a panic with her amber eyes as yelled out Jade's name as she got up from her chair. Blake began to gasp for air as her heartbeat pulsed rapidly from the stress of her nightmare. All she could do was to try and pull herself together.

"I need to calm down! Deep breaths Blake, Deep breaths."

Blake then closed her eyes as she tried to calm herself and her hectic gasps turned into a more controlled breathing. Finally her heart was no longer pulsing rapidly from her dreams and she can finally think properly. Where was she again?

Right… she was in a large hospital room, and Jade could be seen resting soundly on the bed with a rebreather on him. She could also see that he had bandages around the left side of his face, as well as bandages around what used to be where his left hand used to be at. There were also bandages covering his chest. And there was also the necklace he got for himself on his neck. The nurses couldn't remove it despite their best efforts but Blake knew the reason. Jade still cares for her and subconsciously refuses to let the necklace come off him and it became part of his semblance.

It then brought back more memories from the fall. More specifically when she woke up from her rest only for Yang to tell her what happened. And more accurately… The state that Jade was in. She was… heartbroken at Jade's state while also scared about his health. Yet, she was thankful when it turns out that Jade is still alive, but barely with a hole in his chest.

She wanted to run. To protect her friends. On that day, everything in her head was screaming at her to run away, to leave her friends behind to protect them against the dangers of having her around. But… she still remembered their oaths to each other. To never be apart. And the fact that Jade's final message to her before his 'death' was to never leave no matter what happens here or to him.

It bothers her that Jade somehow predicted that she would probably run. Was she really obvious that she would probably run away like that day that she ran from her team due to her accidentally revealing her heritage?

She really needs to ask him about it. But, he had been like this for nearly a week now. And some of the doctors and nurses are planning to label him as comatose. So Jade could potentially never wake up for a long time and she knew that Jade would not want her to mope at him like last time. But there are still questions that bothered her till now.

Just a day after he was brought to the hospital, he was experiencing a seizure while still unconscious and it took her and some nurses to stop it, even more strange was how his aura started to flare up before calming down. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. After that mess was over, the doctors did an aura scanner on him and they got some 'interesting' discoveries. Whatever it was, his aura seemed to be getting stronger, as if something or someone is fusing with Jade's aura. This results in Jade having a much larger aura pool compared to before.

It reminded her of a book she read weeks before Jade joined her team. What was it? Ah yes, 'The Man With Two Souls'. But that just brought more questions, who or what was inside Jade during all this time? More questions that need answering.

It was then in which the door opened out and interrupted her thoughts. A familiar Black-haired girl with red tips entered the room, and her silver eyes met amber in return.

"Blake!" Ruby called out as she rushed in and gave Blake a hug.

"Ruby, I'm glad you are alright." Blake mumbled as she returned the hug.

"Yeah… how is Jade?" Ruby asked as she broke away from the hug.

"He's…" Blake hesitated all while her ears lowered as she glanced at Jade. "In a coma… I do not know how long till he wakes up..."

"Really? He hasn't woken up yet?" Ruby then worriedly asked.

"Yea… And I can't do anything about it." Blake muttered with sadness in her eyes as she unconsciously grabbed the necklace around her neck.

"I know he would wake up. He will. If not for us, then it would be for you." Ruby replaced her worry with confidence as she also glanced at Jade.

"Have you seen Pyrrha, Blake?" she then asked.

"I have." Blake answered back. She did go to check on Pyrrha but, Pyrrha was still traumatized about the fall a week ago, somewhat like her. And she would not stop apologizing for getting Jade into the state he is right now. Blake was saddened to see her friend so guilty, yet she understood why.

"Do you wish to follow me back to the patch to see Yang? She was wondering where you went off to." Ruby then passed the message to Blake as she looked back at Blake after looking at Jade.

"Yea… I should see how she is doing; I've spent my time here for too long. After all, he wouldn't wish for me to waste my time waiting for him to wake up." Blake made her decision as she accepted Ruby's offer, It would be nice to check on her partner. After all, it was kind of her fault for ignoring her partner as she was too busy over Jade's health to attend to Yang's. She could at least do this to ease Yang. Hopefully she is ok.

"Great! I will see you at the ports in an hour!" Ruby cheerfully said as she left the room.

Blake watched as Ruby left her room. She had been staying by Jade's side except if she needed to go back to her hotel to sleep, eat or use the bathroom. It would be nice to leave the hospital and walk around while taking her mind off Jade for a bit. But first, time to wash up first. And a meal would also be nice.

Much later at the docks…

Blake walked through the dockyard that would take her towards Patch, it was then she could see eyes of suspicion on her due to her cat ears. She couldn't blame them after the fall in which the Fang under Adam participated as well. It hurts her as before, She and Jade could walk through the streets with Vale with 'relatively' no issue except for a few bad eggs, but now? People could be seen glaring at her as if she played part in the slaughter of their fellow citizens.

It hurts her that Adam was so blind with his hatred for humanity that he failed to see the consequences of attacking and participating in the fall of Beacon. But she could not do anything about it. Come to think about it, she wasn't sure if Adam survived the fall. Last she remembered was that she knocked out Adam. Other than that. Nothing else.

It was then Blake met Ruby and boarded the boat to take both of them to Patch island. After a while, both of them reached Ruby's home. A wooden two-story log cabin with what appears to be a sheet metal roof in dull red.

"And here's our home Blake." Ruby introduced her home to Blake as she followed Ruby while remaining silent as she nodded at Ruby's introduction.

Ruby then approaches the door and knocks on it.

"Coming!" Tai's voice could be heard.

Footsteps could be heard as Tai then opened the door.

"Ruby! Have you seen you- Oh, whose this?" Tai then asked with curiosity.

"Hello, Sir, my name is Blake Belladonna. It is a pleasure to meet you." Blake spoke as she gave a small bow to him.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Mrs Belladonna, I am Taiyang Xiao Long, father of Ruby and Yang. But please call me Tai. Ruby here has told much about you." Tai greeted Blake as Ruby could be seen in the background all cheerly.

"Has she?" Blake asked with a raised eyebrow as Ruby walked in.

"Yes she has… Where's the other one, Ruby?" Tai continued to talk only to realise that he had only seen one of them. Ruby had said that her team had five members, herself, her sister Yang, her partner Weiss who was taken away back to Atlas, Blake and who was the last guy? Ah yes Jade.

"He's… still unconscious back in the Vale hospital." Blake explained sadly to Tai as her ears could be seen lowering.

"Oh dear. I'm... sorry about it."

"Blake! Yang can see you now!" Ruby could be heard yelling upstairs as both Tai and Blake entered the cabin.

"Right, Ruby wanted for you to see Yang. But… she is not doing so well. I will not take any more of your time." Tai nodded as he walked away and back to the kitchen.

Blake on the other hand, began to walk upstairs all while having her thoughts full. Right, both of them promised after the Festival that both of them would head back to Menagerie. But not like that would happen right? No, with what had happened, she needed to take back the White Fang, Adam gave his threat clear. He would destroy everything she cared about. That definitely includes her parents back in Menagerie. But how would she do it?

Blake's thoughts were interrupted as she could see Ruby outside one of the doors waiting for her.

"Blake, there you are." Ruby tried to maintain her enthusiasm about the conversation but, she is not sure whether it would go smoothly. After all, her first conversation with her sister after she woke up showed that Yang had given up and she thought Blake had run away, despite her best efforts to tell her sister that Blake did not run but was in the Vale hospital for Jade.

"Yea… I'm here. She's in there?" Blake asked with worry in her voice.

"Yea, after you." Ruby could only say as she gave way to Blake to open the door.

Blake nodded as she grasped the handle. She then took a deep breath before opening to show Yang sitting alone on the bed while staring outside the window. Yang then looked at them as her eyes widened upon seeing her partner.

"Hey Yang…" Blake could only greet her partner.

"Blake… I thought you would run again." Yang answered back with no emotion in her voice.

"I... wanted to." Blake admitted much to Ruby's shock while Yang remained emotionless.

"Why."

"I… wanted to run to protect you and my team from what Adam said to me." Blake carefully gave her reason as both sisters looked at Blake, one with curiosity, and the other with suspicion.

"He told me that, eventually, he would destroy everything I cared about. This included you guys as well… When I heard about what had happened to Jade, I was heartbroken and I wanted to run to save all of you the burden of having me around."

"Then why hadn't you?! Why did you not run?!" Yang surprisingly exploded in anger as both Blake and Ruby flinched at Yang's anger.

"My promise to Jade that we would stay together no matter what happens." Blake's ears lowered as she realised how badly Yang was affected by her not being there.

"Yang, I am sorry I had forgotten about you, I… no… I have no excuse for leaving you behind for Jade." Blake sadly muttered as tears began to pour in her eyes.

Yang only stared at Blake as Ruby tried her best to comfort her teammate.

"It's alright Blake." Yang finally spoke after a pregnant pause while Blake had tears coming out of her eyes.

"What?" Blake could only blurt out in surprise.

"Even if you care even more for Jade, I'm just glad that you are here Blake. Even if Jade was not here to see me." Yang gave a hollow smile as Blake wiped her tears away.

"Thank you Yang…" Blake could only mutter as she walked towards Yang who was in the bed and gave her a hug.

"Yea… I'm glad you did not run away."

"Blake? I need to ask you something but, I need you to meet me outside." Ruby asked as both partners broke away their hug.

Blake nodded as she followed Ruby outside while waving goodbye to Yang, who soberly waved back. Blake then closed the door as Ruby waited for Blake.

"Will you come with me to Haven Academy?" Ruby then asked after Blake turned back to her.

"Haven? Why?"

"Cinder Fall and her gang came from Haven. So I am going with JNPR to go and investigate how Cinder managed to become the student. Uncle Qrow also said that it is likely that the headmaster of Haven is a traitor. Can I count on you to help us out?" Ruby then explained as Blake closed her eyes.

Blake was in thought. Cinder Fall. The woman responsible for Jade's condition, part of her wish to come with Ruby to find out and avenge Jade though, what if Jade woke up without her at his side? Even if he woke up, would he agree to come along? His condition would make him less effective in any fights should the team come across any.

It is most likely he would potentially be a liability since he is missing a hand and eye. And that fact that one of Jade's weapons, Lumina, is in an irreparable state and it is useless. And Thorn needs serious repairs to prevent it from falling apart. And then there is the threat of Adam against everyone she cares about. She needs to inform her parents about it and hopefully, they would get the people together to take back the Fang before Adam could gather his followers and murder her parents in cold blood.

She had to reject Ruby's offer. Jade is too defenceless and weakened in this state and that's not including whether he is alright mentally, even if she would leave him to recover, such ideas would no doubt betray Jade's trust after they promised to be together till the end.

And then there's the threat to her parents in Menagerie. She hadn't seen them in years but, it needs to be done less she also loses them as well to Adam's spite against her.

Blake opened her eyes and looked at Ruby before saying her decision.

"I'm sorry Ruby, I can't help you out. Not now at least."

"Why?" Ruby curiously asked for Blake's reason.

"I couldn't leave Jade behind, he's too weak and would need support once he wakes up. It does not help that Adam's threat to me puts my parents in danger. I can't have them killed by him. But I promise you Ruby."

Blake took a pause before she continued on as Ruby moved in closely to hear what Blake had to say.

"Once the Adam situation is resolved back in Menagerie. I will meet you at Haven with Jade. This is a promise." Blake answered firmly.

Ruby then smiled much to Blake's confusion. Did Ruby know something she does not? No it can't be…

"Very well, as your leader you will attend to your needs first. I cannot force you to abandon Jade nor come when your family is in danger. But promise me Blake, once you have finished with your problems, you will meet us at Haven."

"I… Thank you Ruby. I promise that I will meet you in Haven when the problem's I'm dealing with are done." Blake could only smile at Ruby for being so understanding to her.

"I should go now Ruby; It is getting late." Blake said as both of them approached the main door of the cabin

"Yeah… see you soon." Ruby gave a smile as Blake opened the main door and left.

As Blake walked back to the docks, she had some thoughts going around in her head. Come to think about it, she had not checked with Sun, sure he did come to check on her and Jade but, where did he go? Did he go back to Vacuo with Neptune? She could only hope that he is alright.

Author's notes

And we are done with Blake's interlude on the Fall of Beacon. So yea, the butterfly effect is now kicked into full gear! (Somewhat…)

Oh boy what's happening to Jade, so many plot points to be addressed. Could this be the ploy of the brothers? Or did Raphael and Jade find out a way to survive such a grievous wound? See it next in the next chapter.

Anyways, we can move on to what had happened in this chapter. Ok, first of all. Blake having a nightmare. I assume that everyone needs time to recover from the fall, it makes sense to me as it would put a whole lot of trauma on one's mind. Especially if one nearly lost the ones who they care about.

Next is Blake's internal thoughts. Let's be honest here. Blake would still put the blame on herself no matter what would actually happen even if it was not her fault despite her character development throughout the story. Old habits die hard as they say, even the bad ones.

Next is the dialog between Blake and Yang. I admit, I think I might have made them OOC in this part but… I don't know, what do you guys think about it. Anyways with Blake not leaving and at least visiting Yang, the relations between the partners were not as strained as it was in canon. So yea, that's that.

Next is Blake's plan to return back to Menagerie, With Adam's fate still unknown to her, and his threat to kill everything that Blake cares about. She would then realise that her parents back in Menagerie are not safe from him either. So she makes a decision to see them, not like canon in which she flees there because she is scared, but to warn them about what the Fang had done and hopefully. Convince them to take the Fang back. Along with Jade of course.

Oh boy! I can't wait to write the interactions between Jade and the Belladonnas when it comes. Before I get sent into the army (Rip my ass)

With that done, I'd like to thank you all for reading and sticking by me as I continue to write this story. If you really enjoy it, feel free to favourite it and follow as well. Got an idea or question for me? Leave a review. I will always give a reply to it.

Anyways I will see you in the next chapter! RGQC out!
