I have a large collection of little story bits that I will add as separate chapters over time.
Perry sat at his desk, looking about him in dismay. The stack of briefs he needed to read were making his head swim and he had not even started reading them. He still had a client he was meeting with in ten minutes and he had a full schedule the next day, starting at seven in the morning. He glanced at his watch and sighed. It was nine-thirty at night.
Perry pressed the intercom button to Della's office.
"Yes?" she asked.
"Nothing important, really, I just wanted to apologize."
"...For what?"
"I never realized how long I overworked you and made you stay late."
"You're forgiven," was the reply.
Perry heard laughter coming from Della's office.
