30 Worlds: Royal Megaforce Gaiden, Episode III:

"A Destiny Rebooted"

CHAPTER FOUR

SIX MONTHS LATER

Dale looked at Chip as he got dressed for the premiere. "Nervous, Chip?" Dale asked.

"I'm nervous about how people are going to respond to the movie," Chip said as he tightened his bowtie.

"Are you nervous about the movie...or about proposing to Lahwhinie?" Dale said.

Chip stopped his ministrations and looked at Dale. "Oh, come on, Chip," Dale said. "Even after all these years, I know when you have a lot on your mind."

Chip looked at Dale and smiled, withdrawing a small blue and white case. "You know me too well, old friend," Chip said.

As Chip put the case back in his pocket, he turned his attention back to his bowtie. "Have you heard anything from Guinan?" Chip said.

"Yeah," Dale said. "She's close to securing a location on Forward Street for her new bar here in L.A."

"Certainly makes sense to move to L.A., being the center of the entertainment industry as it is," Chip said as he began to comb the fur on his head. "So how are you and Clarice doing?"

Dale smiled. "I'm gonna ask her to move in with me tomorrow," he said. "I really think she's the one—just like Lahwhinie seems to be the one for you."

A knock sounded on the door. "Who is it?" Chip said.

"Your limo driver to the premiere," the voice said.

"We'll be right there," Chip said. He then turned to Dale. "I wanted to thank you again for being so persistent in getting me involved with this movie. Because of you, I might soon be getting married to the most beautiful Toon in the world."

"Hey!" Dale said, playfully shoving Chip by the shoulder. The two friends then chuckled before walking out to the limo.

Premiere of Rescue Rangers x The Fast Saga

TCL Chinese Theater

Hollywood, California

Chip and Dale smiled and waved at the fans as they walked up to the doors of the theater. "Chip!" a voice called out.

Chip's smile widened when he saw Lahwhinie walk up to him. "You're looking beautiful tonight, Lahwhinie," Chip said before they kissed.

"Thanks for the compliment, Chip," Lahwhinie said.

Chip then made a decision. "Listen, Lahwhinie. I have something I need to say," he said.

Chip took a deep breath before taking the case out of his pocket and fell to one knee. The gathered onlookers fell silent as Chip opened the case, revealing a gold and diamond ring.

"Lahwhinie, I have loved you ever since we met on the set of 'Gadget Goes Hawaiian' all those years ago," Chip began. "However, it took Vin Diesel re-introducing you to me on the set to make me realize that you were the only one for me."

Lahwhinie began to cry as Chip said the five magic words: "Lahwhinie, will you marry me?"

Lahwhinie had to pinch herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming—that the love of her life was actually asking her to marry him—before she said "Yes."

Chip, too, began to cry as he put the ring on Lahwhinie's paw. Then, the two kissed to seal their engagement.

Vin then stepped up to where Chip, Dale and Lahwhinie were standing. "Congratulations, you two, but let's get you all inside," Vin said to Chip and Lahwhinie. "The movie's gonna begin in ten minutes."

"Of course, Vin," Chip said.

"And Vin...thank you," Lahwhinie said before she, Chip and Dale walked into the theater.

The next morning, Chip and Lahwhinie woke up and began to prepare for their first full day as an engaged couple. As they were eating breakfast, Chip turned on the news and smiled when the main story was about them.

"The big story in the entertainment industry this morning is the engagement of former Rescue Rangers star Chip, who got engaged to co-star Lahwhinie at the premiere of Rescue Rangers x The Fast Saga last night at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood," the reporter on Chip and Lahwhinie's screen began.

"The happy couple first met on the set of the infamous Rescue Rangers episode 'Gadget Goes Hawaiian" in 1989 and reunited on the set of Rescue Rangers x The Fast Saga nine months ago. In an interview after the premiere last night, Chip credited co-star/producer Vin Diesel with reuniting them and making their romance possible."

"I had no idea when Vin brought Lahwhinie up to me on the set that we'd be here right now, celebrating our engagement," Chip said on the screen. "But I am so happy that he did, because he indirectly helped me find the last thing I needed to find myself."

"You really mean that?" Lahwhinie said.

"Every word of it," Chip said before he kissed Lahwhinie.
