What if Draco went to Narnia
Eight-year-old Draco was sitting in his family library during what felt like the longest-lasting rainy season he had ever experienced in his short life. As he scoured the shelves for a book to entertain himself when on one of the lower shelves a book he did not recognize on the cover was the fearsome image of a lion with the words the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. Draco stared at the book for a long minute feeling entranced by the eyes of the lion illustration this made something in Draco urge him to read this unknown book. so he took a seat in front of the fireplace on the couch and as Draco started the story he felt inclined to stop and trash it for the main characters were muggles but Draco never had met Muggles found the forbidden text interesting so he kept reading becoming dawn into this new world the children had discovered and although he wouldn't admit it out loud he grew to care for the children as he continued to read. As the story went on he found himself wishing to join them to be one of their siblings to earn a title like they did to be loved by many. As soon as Draco reached the end of his book he lay down on the couch and dreamed of what it would be like to have siblings and fight for those he loved and to be crowned.
Suddenly Draco was violently ripped from his dream by the terrifying yells of his angered father who was yelling and screaming at Draco to wake up and explain himself. What is the matter Father why are you so upset? This Draco did you read this trash this filth?! Draco looked down to the floor not having the courage to look his father in the eye and in almost a whisper yes father. This seemed to upset his father further as he turned to the fire and tossed the book in. No! Draco screamed at the sight rushing forward to save the book from the flames. Draco barely registered the slap to his left cheek when his father turned to him and said if I catch you reading such filth again I will. You will what Lucius Draco's mother asked then she noticed the red mark now turning a shade of blue on his cheek and narrowed her eyes at her husband. Draco please go to your room I'll be there in a little while me and your father must have a little conversation first. Yes, Mother Draco softly said as he shuffled out of the library stopping right outside the door to hear their conversation. Narcissa I was in the middle of reprimanding our son. Lucius, I may not know what he has done to cause your anger but you will not physically harm our son under any circumstance. Narcissa he was reading Muggle-loving garbage and tried to defy me by retrieving it. Lucius if you put your hand on our son Again I will take him and leave. Very well make sure I don't catch him reading such filth again or i'll kick him out of this family. Those words made Draco run to the one place in the manner his parents couldn't find him and non of the family portraits couldn't torture him with their harsh words. Up on the top floor in a dark room filled with old family heirlooms, he found a wardrobe similar to the one described in the book Draco desperate to hide from the pain both on his face and in his heart climbed into the wardrobe knowing it wasn't the same one from his story but craving it's sanctuary fought with all the long winter robes to find the back of the large wardrobe. Until he came across the feeling of a branch that gave Draco a pause, one of his relatives enchant this wardrobe as a gate to somewhere outside of the manner Draco now full of wonder and excitement hurried through the branches into a snowy forest. Draco now feels the cold of the snow grabs one of the winter robes and rapes himself in it relishing the shield it made from the could and trudging on throw the snow to explore this new world. Now quite a way from where he began until he came across a light post this felt oddly similar to the story he had just read, especially when fore children came bursting through the trees laughing and throwing snowballs. They became quiet when they noticed Draco. Who are you asked the girl that seemed around his age? Are you from around here? Do you know ? Wow, Luce let him speak said the oldest boy, my name is Peter, is my sister Lucy. Her name is Susien and his name is Edmond. The older boy said as he pointed to the other children what is your name? My name is Draco it's nice to meet you Peter he said with his hand held out for Peter to shack. Wow, your plight said Susien, are you from around here? No, I came through the wardrobe Draco said a little dazed. We came through a wardrobe too, said Lucy with excitement. Draco, how did you get that bruise on your face Peter asked. My father was angry I had read a book that had muggles as the main characters. What are muggles Lucy asked. Muggles are non-magical people. What are you muggles? If what I gather are people without magic then yes we are muggles why did your father hit you for reading a book about one? Have you met a lot of mean muggles? Peter asked well you are my first muggles and you're nice but my father says all muggles are lower life forms compared to us full-blooded wizards. Well, I'm glad you think we are nice Said Susien do you agree with your father Draco? Um, I'm not sure anymore to be honest is that bad my father said he would kick me out of the family if he sees me reading any more books like the other one I read. Draco having your own opinion on things isn't bad, it's what happens as you grow up and experience things for yourself Peter said kindly. Your father sounds mean commented Edmond. Do you want to come with us were going to visit my friend the fon asked Lucy. a fon Draco asked a little surprised. Ya let me guess your father doesn't like fons either asked Peter. Draco shook his head no. ok what do you say want to meet one for yourself asked Susien. Draco felt like he could trust these new people they were kind and didn't get made at him for reading the book his father didn't like they also seemed similar to the characters from his book witch was strange despite this he said yes and didn't even mind it when Lucy grabbed his hand and started to pull him to where he assumed this fon lived. So Draco what magic can you do Edmond asked. Well my mother is teaching me occlumency. What's that Edomoned asked, a little bored. Its mind protection magic it's all she can teach me without a wand. Is she going to give you a wand asked Lucy. no when I get my letter for Hogwarts than my parents will by me my own wand but until I become of age I cant use magic it's against wizarding law. Oh ok what is Hogwortes asked Lucy. It's the best wizarding school in Britain. Cool, do you fly on brooms? " Lucy asked excitedly. Yes, Draco replied. That's amazing Lucy said then she stopped walking and a look of horror came onto her face at the site of a broken door. Then she let go of his hand and ran for the door screaming the other three ran after them so Draco now scared followed behind them frightened for their safety and his own. When he reached the door he saw Lucy crying and begging for them to go save her friend while the other two oldest were trying to reason with her. When they have finally calmed down there was a voice calling to them but when Draco trend to see who made the noise he saw a small brown furry creature then Peter pulled Draco behind him then started calling out for the voice this action mad Draco feel all warm inside at the thought of someone other than his mother protecting him. Draco didn't pay much attention to what was happening in that moment he caught Peter calling the creature a beaver and trying to coax it to him for it to just speak it said something about the trees talking and a bad lady and that its home was safer for them then where they were now. Draco, not even thinking of going home and trusting Peter to keep him safe, followed the older boy and at some point both the girls grabbed one of his hands offering comfort. As Draco entered the beaver's home he could hear his mothers voice saying not to touch anything but out of an effort to not seem impolite he sat on the nearest seat that looked clean and listened to the beaver's tail. At the end of the tail he asked then why am I here. The beaver looked at him and smiled. I'm not sure sweaty you'll half to ask Asland. Everyone turned their heads to Lucy who asked with fear in her voice where's Edmond. Realizing he runoff to the wight with which the children agreed to go to Aslan for help to save their brother and Draco not confident in his own capability to make it back to his wardrobe chose to follow Peter and his sisters pulse the bevers. Draco was not to comfortable with walking on the ice but trusted Peter and not to lead him on thin ice. When Draco started to feel tired from not sleeping the drowsy feeling started to claim him, Susien offered him a ride on her back. Draco wanted to refuse and aske Peter for one instead but notes Lucy had the spot already so he agreed only because he was too tired to keep standing is what he told himself but secretly it felt nice having someone bigger offer him a ride on their back it made him wonder if this is what it was like to have siblings. Then they heard the sound of the slay and Susen telling Draco to run while holding his hand after sliding him off her back. They ran to a snowbank and huddled close together waiting for the slay to pass when they heard nothing decided he would be the one to see if the witch was gon just to surprise them from above saying that he hopes they have been good cause someone was their was there to see them out of fear Draco attached himself to the back of Peters cote while still holding Susiens hand just to see an old man in a red cote smiling at them. Hello Peter Susien Lucy and Draco I have some gifts for you. Said the strange old man. He handed Peter a sword and Susien a bow with some arrows and a horne all decorated with lions He saw the old man give Lucy a dagger then tell her he hopes she'll never half to use it along with a flask he tells her has some kind of healing tonic that interests Draco. The old man then poles out a satchel bag that seems to have something in it and gives it to Draco along with a dagger for himself and repeats that he hopes he will never half to use it. Then he pointed to the satchel and said there is a book of spells and a wand made with a phoenix's feather and that the spells in the book won't work if he tries to use them to harm others only to protect others will they give him strength. Draco thanks the man who hurries to give the bevers some food and then climbs in his slay wishing them well and luck. They continue their journey to Asland and find the snow disappearing and the temprecher rising not wanting to abandon his now drenched robe; he poles out the spellbook and wand and looks for a spell to make the inside of the bag bigger. Peter Susien Lucy and the beavers stop and stare as they notice he had stopped. Seeing him attempting a spell they what in awe as a light starters coming from the wand making the inside of his bag light up Draco made a small cheer at his success and hurriedly folded and placed his robe book and wand in his bag then looked up ready to catch up to the others but was startled to see them staring at him. You just did magic Lucy said with a excited squeak. Ya to fight the robe in my bag did you want me to put yours in here to. Peter shook his head no they will just take up room it'll be fine. But aren't you afraid of getting in trouble Draco hurried to Peter's side asking. I think they will be more angry if we don't survive. This made Draco think it must be nice to have adults who you know will be more upset if you aren't ok then over some missing clothes. Draco's thoughts were cut off at the realization that he was now in the middle of a camp of creatchers his father had warned him would kill him if he ever got near them. He also noticed he was holding Peter's hand and Lucys while Lucy held Susiens other hand as they walked to what appeared to be the leaders tent. Draco followed the others example and bowed just to raise his head to see the strong kinde voice he had heard shush the crowd coming from a lion. I am Aslan. Please come to my tent. We have much to discuss. They followed him into the tent and he explained that he needed Peter Susien and Lucy to lead his army and in return they would be crowned the high king and queens of Narnia and Draco was their to help protect everyone and in return he would be crowned prince of Narnia adopted brother to the Pevensie's and if Edmoned can be saved and convinced to join them would be the lower king but the choice was theirs and theirs alone no one not even each other could mack the choice for them this made Draco ask to talk privately so the others left to get changed. Draco what is on your mind. Can I really be one of them and help up until a few days ago? I didn't even like muggles. What if I turn out just like the rest of my family and cant use the magic when they need me to. Draco I understand your fears and know of the cruelties your family members has dun but the fact that you care enough to worry means you already know in your heart what is right and have the courage to overcome the bad influence to become better so when you go back to your world you can help other children in your position see a better path. Thank you Aslan you are really smart. Haha so are you Draco so are you now join your siblings. Ok, Draco made his way to the tent Peter was coming out of. Hay Draco were sharing this one and they put some clothes in here for you if you need help i'll be right out here ok. Ok thanks Peter. That night before they went to bed Draco asked Peter do you see me as one of your siblings? Yes, why do you not like that? No I do. I wanted to make sure because I've never had siblings before and being here with all of you it feels so nice. Draco started to cry so Peter got up and held him in a warm hug. Draco you from today to the rest of your life will officially be my new baby brother who I promise to protect. They stayed like that till Draco stopped crying when he woke up his new sisters were waiting outside his and Peter's tent. Susien was the first to wrap him in a hug welcome to being one of our brothers she then let go just for Lucy to do the same when she released Susien continued we hope when Edmoned gets brought back you can forgive him we know it will be hard but he will be one of your brothers to. And I know he's sorry Lucy added. If it's important to you my new dear sisters then I'll try. The girls both smiled and squeezed him in another hug. Where's Peter? He's over there learning to use his sword. Draco Asland said from behind him. Yes Aslan. Please join me and I will show you the spells you must learn for the battle to come. The day ended with Peter killing a wolf and being knighted and Edmond coming back he apologized to his siblings and after he was told Draco is his new adopted brother he both apologized and welcomed him into the family. That night Draco was nervous to sleep so he asked his brothers are you guys scared of the fight tomorrow Edmuend was the first to answer ya but I trust you to keep us safe with your magic. Same Peter added. Now go to sleep we will need all our energy for tomorrow. Ok, good night Draco said the other two repeated the words and they slept. As they woke up they were handed armor and Draco was given a ride by one of the female senators to a hill overlooking the soon-to-be battlefield Draco got his spellbook out along with his wand and started casting protection spells over everyone one his side of the field and when he did this he felt it like he was connected with everyone his magic touched and could tell they felt his magic to. Draco started fighting his fear down as he heard Peter yell for Narnia and for Ashland as they all raced down the hill to the white witch's army. When it looked like his brothers and soldiers were becoming overwhelmed a whole new wave of soldiers came charging down the hill with his sisters on Aslan's back then Lucy was taken by a female centaur to where Draco stood as he casted more protection spells for the new soldiers then he hugged Lucy I was wondering where you three were. Lucy then told him as they watched the battle commence about what had happened to Adland and how he woke up those the witch had frozen. Just as she finished her story Asland finished the witch with one pounce. Draco then led Lucy to those his spell became weak on and needed healing.
Now with the battle done and the witch dead they were now walking down the room to the thrones mad for his siblings and him they each kneel and starting with the eldest and ending with Draco being named Prince Draco the loyal and wise. They spent fifteen years growing up together and under the watchful eyes of tutors having balls drinking wine and going on hunts together. Draco learned sword play from his brothers and archery from Susien he even learned how to do hair by Lucy after his hair grew out. Edmond was determined he would know every curse word he knew. Then one day while hunting the white stag he found himself alone falling out of the wardrobe he had hid in so long ago. Draco, now desperate, sad and scared raced back into the wardrobe hoping to find his siblings or Narnia but quickly fell into tears when he only found the back of the wardrobe. When Draco was don crying and composed himself he made his way to his room constantly flinching at the voices of the portraits. This is going to take some getting used to Draco thought. When he made it to the door of his room he found his mother patiently waiting for him on the couch in front of the fireplace. Mother, have you been waiting long Draco was almost in tears at the sight of her. No darling please come sit and I will heal your cheek. My cheek Draco had not noticed the bruise that had returned to his cheek but the sting was fresh. Yes mother Draco answered. He sat next to her and she brought her wand up near his face and the pain and bruise were gone in the blink of an eye. Draco began to fidget in his seat trying to remember if his mother would let him hug her for he had grown used to showing his love through fiscal affection. Draco my love what is the mater I know your father was harsh with you but I promise you I won't let him do it again. Mother may I hug you Draco asked with some discomfort. Of course, my love, have I been so distant that you think you can't? Maybe a little. Oh I will half to rectify this she said as she raped him in a hug.
The next three years were torcher for Draco as he had to accept he was a child agen and he now was against his father but tried to hide it and spend as little time as he could with his father and just as much with his mother. When his mother asked what he wanted for his ninth birthday he told her he wanted to meet his aunt Andromeda she asked why and reminded him that she was kicked out for not thinking those born with non-magical parents were scum then married that Tonkes fellow. Draco reminded her their family treasured family bonds and that he also thought the same as his aunt. Then asked if this meant she would kick him out of the family and stop loving him in his most nine year old way of speaking. She cried a little at the thought of her son being afraid to speak his mind thinking if he did she wouldn't love him any more so when she collected herself she told him of course not my darling I will always love you its ok for you to have your own opinion your note the first child to think differently and I agree this family should holed throws family bonds with higher regarded or will all die alone. I'll write to my sister and we can visit but don't tell your father he wouldn't understand my dear. Draco agreed with his mother and on his ninth birthday he met his aunt and uncle and his cuisine with the color changing hair. Draco made sure they knew he was so happy to have a family that aren't murderers or crazy and that could understand his non hatred toward the non-magical Dora or Tonks as she liked to be called said she was happy to have such a cool cousin that thought for himself. After that they all became pen pals and even his aunt thanked him for helping her get her sister back. By the time he got his letter from Hogwarts Tonks was trying to teach him spells and even celebrated with him, her parents and his Mother after he got it.
Now in Diagon alley Draco and his mother waited for his father to leave them before they split to gather Dracos school supplies so he and his mother agreed he would go get his robes by himself and she would get the other supplies they would meet in the book store then get his wand last. Draco now in the robe shop trying to stand as still as he could so the assistant to the shopkeeper could do his job. Then a small black haired boy with broken glasses and ragged clothes that were obviously to big for him came in the shop a little unsure of himself asked if this was the place to get the Hogwarts robes the shopkeeper kindly replied yes dear this is where you get your robes pleas go stand next to that young man over there and i'll get you started. The boy quietly replied yes mam. Once in place on a stool next to him Draco decided to strike up conversation thinking it might help with the boy's nerves. Hi my name is Draco what's your name. My names Harry Potter are you here for Hogwarts robes two. Yes I am, Draco replied kindly. Are your parents wizards? Yes they are. Are your parents not? Draco asked. Well my mom and dad were from what I was told but I've lived with my muggle relatives all my life. Harry said you're probably used to using magic all the time. That's a responsible assumption for someone who has not lived with magical parents but actually no there is a law that keeps under aged wizards and witches from using magic so you're not the only one who has never done magic. Really Harry asked excitedly. Ya of course and if your parents were wizards but died then there's a chance you weren't given the booklet muggle born wizards are given. if you want when we're done here we can go to the bookshop and I can help get it if you want. Really sure but we would half to what for my friend Hagrid he works at Hogwarts Harry said. Ok sure, what does this Hagrid do at Hogwarts? Draco asked. Well he's the games keeper. That's interesting, is he going to meet you here Draco asked. Ya um are we friends now Harry asked fidgeting a little. Yes, if that's ok with you we can be friends. Draco said with a smile. After a few quiet minutes Draco asked "Do you know what Quittage is?" Draco asked, hoping to restart their conversation. Harry looked confused no what is it? Well it's a game with four balls one that chases you while you fly in the air on a broom and try to ether throw a different ball throw a hoop that is being protected by a different player or you could be a seeker the person whose main job is to find and catch the snitch a small gold ball with wings its really fast and if you catch it before the other team gets to many points then your team wins. Draco tried to explain. That sounders complicated Harry commented. Well Hogworts has some games so you'll get to make a better opinion based on the game then my explanation wasn't that good. Draco smiled. Harry matched his smile. you're really smart. No, I just read a lot. When they were finally finished just to see a man with obvious joint heritage holding two ice creams and a big smile on his face. That's him, Harry said with an even bigger smile than before. Oh I see we should ask if i can join you to the book shop. Ya lets go Harry chearred. Hay Hagrid, this is my new friend Draco. Is it ok if he joins us to the bookshop? Hagried looked at Draco, "What's your last name, young man?" It's Malfoy. Is there something wrong with that? No of course not and ya you can join us to the bookshop. Where are your parents? Hagrid asked. I'm not certain where my father went but my mother is going to meet me at the bookshop once she's done getting my other supplies then we're going to get my wand. Oh good Hagide said with a sigh of relief I was worried your Parents weren't going to find you if you came with us. Thanks for your concerns Draco said shall we go after you are finished with your ice creams. Draco said. Oh ya sorry I dont have one for you Hagrid said a little nervously. That's alright I don't eat a lot of surgery things and I already ate. Ok, said Hagrid. When they were finished they made their way to the bookshop. Where his mother wanted outside of the shop. Draco dear who is this she gestured to the two Harry and Hagrid. Oh right this is Hagrid and this is Harry Potter my new friends. Oh it's nice to meet you both. This is my mother Draco continued and we're here for books so let's get in there Draco declared. Ya Harry cheered and giggled. Before they continued in Narcissa stopped the boys and asked Harry for permission to fix his glaces this made Harry excited and he said fixed them and they continued into the store where Draco took the lead making shere that Harry got all the books he needed and some that interested him. Then they made their way to the wand shop which took longer than expected and while they were there Hagrid left Harry with Draco and his mother. When they were done Hagrid was waiting outside with an owl and said happy birthday Harry. It's your birthday Harry Draco asked. Ya i'm twelve today that's great lets go get you a present from me and my mother. No that's ok you already gave me the best birthday and you're my friend that's enuff Harry said with a blush on his face. Well I'll write to you then please feel free to write to me two and we will see each other at Hogwarts. Ya Harry hugged Draco and said see you at the train by then left with Hagrid. I'm so happy for you my darling now let's head home your father will be there soon. Alright mother and thank you for not being rude to Hagrid or Harry. Of course my love you said they were your friends and I am never rude she said with grace. Of course mother. Draco was confused when his first letter to Harry was replied with a letter that said he wasn't allowed to send anymore after this and hill see him at the train. So Draco spent the rest of the week reading his books and avoiding his father.
The day of the train Draco wanted to wait to get on the train for Harry but his father rather forcibly made Draco follow Crabb and Goyal. He made sure they were aware they could sight with whomever they want and did not half to what or follow him. So Draco took the first compartment he came across and stared out the window. When he saw Harry he opened the window and called to him this made Harry smile and hurry to Draco's compartment. They hugged and said they were so happy to see each other and started to tell each other about each other's week until a red headed boy poked his head in and asked if he could join them. They said yes and helped him with his trunk. My name's Ron Wesley and you are, he said looking at Draco. I'm Draco Draco Malfoy. Malfoy my dad says your father hates muggles and calls us blud traders because we don't think muggles are scum he said with anger and accusing in his tone. I am well aware of my fathers pregutis. Ya and Draco isn't like that. Harry said to Draco's defense. Thank you Harry Draco said then looked back to Ron. I propose we put our parents' hatred behind us and become friends. Draco said, holding his hand out for a shake. This seems to surprise the red headed boy. Hoom still seemed skeptical but slowly took Draco's hand ok. Now where do you stand in quidditch? This topic seemed to distract Ron from his suspicions. Well I'm an iris fan. What about you? Whichever team has Victor krum on it. Draco answered and continued. I honestly can't wait for second year so I can try out myself. Ya same I can't wait either. Then the snack caret interrupted them. Anyone wants some snacks. Ron held up some pork sandwiches I'm covered. Harry then asked for the lout and Draco asked for six chocolate frogs. Harry smiled and asked if I thought you don't eat sweet things often. I don't but I do collect the cards that they come with. Ron would you like the frogs Draco asked. Ya sure Ron excitedly replied. And Harry traded Ron for some of his sandwiches. They spent most of the ride trading cards and talking about random topics. Ron then showed them his rat that caught Dracos attention because of the magic he saw around it that made Draco ask if he had done any spells on it. Ron mistook his question for a request for a demonstration. Before he could say a word a young girl with bushy brown haired girl asking about a boy's pet toad then seemed to get distracted by Ron's wand in the air. Are you going to do magic well go on then she practically demanded. Ron seemed to take that as a challenge and continued. Ron started a circling motion with his wand then started saying sunshine daisies butter mellow turn this fat rat yellow. The girl didn't seem impressed, especially when nothing happened to the rat. That sounds like a spell the girl said. She's right you said your brothers like to pull pranks on you right that might be one. Ron seaned upset at the revelation so Draco pulled out one of his spell books and opened to a page this should be the correct spell you can try it but don't do that circle thing with your wand or you'll cast it at something random. Draco proceeded to show Ron the correct way to cast the spell and how to pronounce it this made his second attempt successful making the rat a silky neon yellow. Draco then asked if Ron would sell him the rat or trade it for a different animal. Ron seemed excited at the thought and agreed if Draco got him an owl then he could have the rat. Harry asked why he wanted the old thing. Draco told them that it had something about it that interested him. Then another boy poked his head in asking about his pet that the girl who introduced herself as Herminy Granger had forgotten. Draco took it upon himself to ask for the boy's name. Oh Neville Longbottom. Ok then he lifted his wand and said assio Neville's toad. Then from down the train the toad came flying right into Neville's hands. Thanks mate. Neville said. Names Draco and you should get a proper case for him. I will. Good bye. Neville said then hurried away. You are very proficient at magic. Herminey exclaimed. Thank you Herminey. You're welcome. I myself have memorized my spell book and for one can't wait to start classes she said with pride. That is a good attitude but maybe try not to say that too often some may think you are boating but I for one think it is a pleasure to meet you and also can't what to begin classes. This made her smile. I will keep that in mind oh it seems we are almost there you all should put on your robes by. She waved and took off. Ron made a remark on how Herminy was a bit of a know it all. Draco intervened, not liking his sentiment towards her. She was just trying to impress us. She's obviously nervous the same as you, Harry or me. This made Ron look ashamed. The boys quickly started to do as Heminy suggested. They then joined the other children to the boats and was assured their things would be brought to the castle for them. This is when they saw Hagrid. Harry and Draco gave him a hug and followed his instructions in the boats. Draco couldn't help but appreciate the wonder that seemed to glow off of Harry's face. They then made their way up the stairs to Madam Mcgonagall, a stern woman that radiated an aura that demanded respect.
