My gratitude to my Higher Power.

Love to my team of cheerleaders. My mom, and my son.

Best regards to SlytherinSal and Marc the Unruly. They rock, go check out their stories. Worth it.

I have errands to run, and I don't want to stop the flow of this story, just enjoy.

Trolls are beings too, anonymous or not, and they deserve to live in their own habitat. This is not the place and I suck at babysitting them. So no trolls here, please. Thanks.

Again, thank you guys and gals for your support and kind reviews.

Chapter 4. A day out.

It had been a huge gamble for Romilda Vane and now she was seething. She had been in love with Harry Potter ever since Hogwarts. But the boy then only smiled and continued with his mission of ridding the world of the dark lord Voldemort. She then tried again, only to be made aware that he was engaged to the mudblood Sally-Anne Perks. All the tears in the world could not convey her sadness.

One day, she found herself being called to an ancient book in the Hogwarts library. The book called to several, not just her. It talked about the tragic fate of the gorgons. She met Susan Amelia Bones, Cho Chang, Marietta Edgecombe, Ginevra Weasley, and herself, as the now group shared a broken heart, the gorgon book branded them with a tattoo on their wedding finger, and instructed them, that if they couldn't win Harry's love fairly then fairness was overrated and to do it in any way possible.

Harry had married and had children, but the book told them to wait until the last child was born to dispose of the main wife, then make a claim to become the first wife. The plan worked, Perks died of an untraced, mundane poison. Bones said Harry had gone from English shores while he and his young were mourning the loss of his wife, Sally-Anne Perks, and the time would be near after he returned to British soil. Vane knew Bones would cash in on Harry's sorrow if they took Lily away, so a plan was set in motion. The coven of the gorgon sisters waited, and Vane had an epiphany. Nothing was fair, she would not be ignored any longer, and she would not be a second to Perks and certainly not to Bones, because those bitches didn't play fair, anyway.

Romilda was certain she would get her prize. She had been working for so long, gathering the ingredients to make the perfect potion to get Lily Potter and after that, the girl's father, the one and only Harry Potter. She would get his magical oath and she would become the next Lady Potter.

Her plan worked; She had been successful in retrieving the brat. But the small witch had a bout of accidental magic and disappeared as she awoke from the potion-laced cookies.

Romilda's sight caught the hot-off-the-presses scoop. She, like the rest of the Wizarding World, surveyed the special edition of the Daily Prophet. The headline was too appealing.

Lily Potter is home! Yes, they have found the little princess at last!

Article By Rita Skeeter.

Yes dear readers, little Lily Potter daughter of Harry Potter, and the late Lady Potter, Sally-Anne Potter Nee Perks, had been missing for the best part of three days. According to the kidnapper's note, the only ransom required from our esteemed Harry was a magically binding oath. Of course, before the kidnappers could claim the oath, little Lily was found and returned safely to her father.

It was only from an anonymous source that I was able to locate the Potter family happily reunited in the bowels of the Gringotts bank. In an effort to get more data, my faithful acid green quill was destroyed by an unknown hag of a witch called Hermione Granger and when I tried to investigate further, the social-climbing wench claimed sanctuary for the Potters and I was led by the fierce creatures who rule said bank to the door. Still, my duty to my readers and the pursuit of truth was not struck down even by the tacky display of power by a forgettable harridan as that woman.

Again, we are glad that Lily Potter is back to her father and we wish Harry our best.

Until next time,

Rita S.

The paper had arrived as the hostess and her guest were around the breakfast table. Hermione could not believe the nerve of that pseudo-reporter, she was going to get her wand and hunt that fake blond and after properly rearranging her face she was going to dye her hair back to her natural gray.

Harry, who had read the article, closed his eyes and counted to ten before deciding on a different approach. "Ripclaw, remind me, what is the total percentage I own of the Daily Prophet?"

"Sixty percent, what do you want us to do, Harry?" Asked Ripclaw.

"I want Rita to write an epic follow-up, an article that includes a gaudy apology to Hermione and have that posted in the evening's edition today. Otherwise, I'm sacking the administrators and Rita, in twenty-four hours. I'm already at the end of my rope as it is." He sighed.

Hermione noticed how all the children hissed at their father's sigh and suddenly she had a great idea. She too used to get anxious when younger, and her parents had to change the scenery in order for her to relax. Maybe the same thing would apply to this situation. Only one way to find out. She raised her hand. Which made the whole table stop their chattering and become quiet, and gave Luna the opportunity to nod, and ask, "Yes, Hermione?"

"You know Mr. Potter, I have an idea, but I don't know if you would agree to it?"

Harry looked up and waited for Hermione to continue. "Every time I had a difficult time, my parents took me out to the beach. That always had a soothing effect. So, just for today, maybe you can stop being the famous wizard and, instead, just be a dad and partake in the ancient tradition of a relaxing stroll?"

"That's a lovely idea, I agree with Ms. Granger. Go, Harry, take a moment to embrace your children and reconnect to your happiness." Said, Luna.

"Okay, let's have a day out." Harry agreed as the children jumped up to hug him. While Harry looked at Hermione and wondered. "How can I avoid falling for you?" Luna held his hand and shook her head and added in a musical tone of voice, giving an answer to his thoughts. "Don't be afraid Harry, you can jump, she will catch you, always."

Meanwhile.

Romilda realized she had to make a bigger list of targets. It was no longer just Harry she had to get now, she had to get rid of Hermione Granger too.
