Chapter 1: Baby Liza Marie
Nine-month-old Liza Marie Anderson giggled as Noah Puckerman made funny faces at her while playing in her room. Noah, who had become blind in an accident overseas, adored being around Liza Marie.
At one point, Noah sensed someone behind him; then Liza Marie growled. Noah said, "So, Blaine, how long have you been hurting Kurt?"
Before Blaine could protest against the allegations Noah had just made, he knocked him down with his leg and was in his face, saying in a low growl, "Don't lie to me, you son of a bitch. I was trained to kill men with one snap of the neck! Now, answer my question!"
Blaine gasped for air as Quinn replied, "Since high school, Puck. That's the real reason I wasn't at the wedding."
Then Burt Hummel said, "I'll take it from here, Puck."
Rachel exclaimed, "You lied to me! I thought of you as my best friend! How could you do that to Kurt?"
Soon, Noah is sitting on the couch, holding Liza Marie in his arms. He asks, "Kurt, was that the reason why me and Quinn are her godparents and not Rachel or Sam?"
Kurt looked at Beth and said, "I felt guilty that you didn't get to raise her at first, but then I noticed you were acting just like my dad when you came back. Ha! Dad told me about your house being rigged with motion sensors and that you shot a kid with a paintball gun."
Then Kurt looked at Carole and said, "I'm so glad I didn't set Norah up with my dad."
Then Quinn says, "Me too, Kurt."
She looked at Burt before saying, "I'm sorry I didn't say anything about Blaine sooner, Mr. H."
Then she looked at Kurt and chuckled, saying, "I noticed Liza Marie has a lot of Hulk toys in her room. I'm guessing she has a crush on Puck because he reminds her of the Hulk."
Kurt nodded. "Yes," he said. "She would even roar every time she saw a picture of him shirtless, and I found a picture of him that Santana must have taken while they were dating in her crib after I let her stay the night there."
Then Santana walked to Liza Marie's room and said, "Ha, don't worry, Mr. H., it's just showing his butt. Ha, it was my favorite. I wondered where it went. Ha, it has drool on it too. God, Rachel, I think your daughter has better taste in men than you did when we were in Glee!"
When Santana returned to the living room, she saw Blaine coming back in and looking at Liza Marie before asking him, "Are you looking for a death wish or what, Blaine?"
Burt says, "Thirty paces straight ahead, Puck!"
Soon, Noah had Blaine on the floor again, beating his face. He said, "You don't know when to quit, do you? Liza Marie has been looking for someone big and strong to hurt you like you hurt Kurt for a while! I'm just glad I'm here to be the Hulk for her!"
When Blaine was unconscious, Burt and Dave pulled Noah off of him. Then Burt said, "I want him dead too, Puck, but he has to pay for what he did to Kurt." Noah was still fuming as he left with Quinn. When Blaine woke up, he ended the party.
For weeks after the party, everyone tried to convince Kurt to leave Blaine. Even Norah Puckerman, Noah's mother, tried to talk to Kurt. Nobody could get through to him, and Blaine became increasingly aggressive, hitting Kurt in public or at Burt's house when they came to visit.
Then one night, Noah received a call from Kurt's phone, and Quinn answered it. They heard Liza Marie growling and Kurt screaming, "I'm sorry, Blaine, I'll do whatever you want! Just please don't spank me!"
Soon, Blaine said, "You're not the boss here, Kurt. Now, bend over!" There was more screaming before the call dropped.
Then Burt called Quinn, and when she answered the call, she said, "I know, Puck is getting dressed now, Mr. H. I'll text you after we get Kurt and Liza Marie." She ended the call after they got into Noah's truck.
As soon as they pulled up to Kurt's house, Dave Karofsky and his husband Sebastian were also pulling up. Before Dave could bust down the door and get Kurt, Noah started pummeling Blaine while Quinn went to get Kurt and Liza Marie.
Although Noah had saved Kurt from Blaine, he returned to him. Despite the fact that Kurt ended up in the hospital because of Blaine, he returned to him.
On Liza Marie's first birthday, Noah receives a call from Kurt, but all he hears is Liza Marie saying, "Dada Nono," repeatedly before the call drops.
Soon, Burt called him, and Quinn answered it as she said, "We're on our way!"
Burt replies, "I'm with Kurt in the ambulance right now. Tell Puck Dave took care of Blaine; Liza Marie is with Carole and will need a ride to the hospital." The call ends soon before they pick up Carole and Liza Marie.
As Noah held Liza Marie in his arms while they waited in the lobby, he heard her growl as the front doors of the hospital opened. Then Sue Sylvester took Liza Marie and said, "Twenty paces dead ahead, Puck!"
Soon, Noah had Blaine by his shirt collar and had him pinned against the wall. He said, "I may be blind, but I can still kill you with my bare hands! If you ever come near Kurt or Liza Marie again, I will kill you!"
Then Burt said, "Puck, Kurt wants to see you and Quinn."
Noah punched Blaine in the stomach before letting him go and saying, "Coming, Mr. H."
As soon as they were in Kurt's hospital room, he said, "Puck, I don't want Liza Marie to have the same childhood you did. I'm planning to leave Blaine for good this time, and Quinn, I hope that offer to live with you still stands."
Before Quinn could reply, Noah asked, "What changed, Kurt?"
Kurt said, "Blaine hit Liza Marie tonight." Noah remembered that Liza Marie had kept putting her hand on his face while they were in the lobby.
Blaine soon shouted, "He's my husband, and I want to see him now!"
Before Quinn took Liza Marie from Noah, Kurt said, "I know that look. Go get him!"
Burt opened the door for Noah, and Blaine yelled, "Oh, shit!" As soon as Blaine saw Noah, he pinned him up against the wall and began choking him. Moments later, he started beating Blaine's face in, breaking his nose, jaw, and ribs. Burt watched as he continued to pound his head against the floor until four security guards finally managed to remove him from Blaine.
While Noah was fuming, Burt said, "God, Puck! Blaine looks more frightened than Liza Marie! You could have killed him!"
"He shouldn't have hurt Liza Marie like that!" Noah shouts as he storms back into Kurt's room.
Quinn then hands Liza Marie back to him and he asks, "Do you want to know what happened to my sister Sarah?"
Kurt looks at Quinn, who is all teary-eyed, and asks, "Yeah? What happened to her? I mean, I haven't seen her in years."
Noah held Liza Marie close and said, "She was killed by her abusive boyfriend in a murder-suicide after she got pregnant. She died in a fire after she tried to leave him. Sarah was nine months pregnant when she died."
Then Liza Marie touched his cheek before Noah tells Burt, "Mr. H., the baby was a girl, and my ma named her Catherine Elizabeth Puckerman. Sarah died on the same day as Kurt's mom, and Sarah told my ma that she wanted to be a mother like her. I couldn't make it to the funeral because I was overseas at the time."
Liza Marie put her forehead against Noah's, and he broke down. As she cooed, Liza Marie petted his face. When Noah was calmer, Kurt said, "I'm glad Beth isn't here right now."
Soon, Liza Marie glared at him and exclaimed, "Dada."
Kurt and Liza Marie moved in with them after that. Kurt and Quinn soon noticed Noah working out a lot in the backyard. They were both a little scared by his intensity. It seemed as if Blaine's abuse of Liza Marie had unleashed something in Noah. Whatever it was, Blaine sure didn't like it. Because Noah would beat him to a bloody pulp every time he showed up. He sent Blaine to the hospital each time.
One day, Noah found himself alone with Liza Marie while she was asleep in his arms. He soon said, "Blaine, do you want to wake her up?"
He asked. "Why did you risk coming here? I've almost killed you several times!"
Then Noah stands up as Blaine says, "Puck, she is not Beth or Sarah. That is my daughter. She should be with me." Noah grabs Blaine by the neck. As soon as he does, Kurt and Quinn walk into the room. They try to get Noah to let go, but he won't until Liza Marie wakes up cooing.
As soon as Blaine was let go, he ran out of the house. Then, Noah gave Liza Marie to Kurt and went to his bedroom. Before Quinn and Kurt heard him sobbing and saying, "I'm sorry, Sarah, I wish I could have been there to save you," they were wondering what was wrong, but they didn't say anything.
When Noah came back out, he said to Kurt, "I'm sorry, man. I know Liza Marie is your daughter. Look, I'll try to back off here. Okay?"
Kurt chuckled before saying, "You reminded me of Dad a bit. Ha! Thank God, I never had a crush on you, and I have never seen Blaine run that fast before. I'm sure when you have another daughter, you'll be ten times worse than Dad was."
Noah smirks and says, "Let's hope. I am not letting my daughter date anyone like my dad, and I will never swing that way, man."
Kurt glares at Noah, and Quinn says, "You better not be like Mr. H. was, Puck; I mean it!" Liza Marie soon gets fussy and reaches out for Noah.
Kurt hands her to Noah, and she calms down immediately. Quinn takes a picture and posts it on Facebook. Rachel is the first to comment, saying, "God, Quinn, I know Liza Marie loves The Hulk, but... Never mind, Puck is The Hulk! My daughter loves Puck. Blaine, if you are reading this, well, you might be her father, but I intend to help Kurt get full custody of her. I'm so glad Puck is her godfather, and so is Beth. You broke your promise, and I hope Puck breaks you! That is my daughter, and I will help Puck make sure you never see her!"
Cooper, Blaine's brother, is the next to comment, saying, "Quinn, tell Kurt that I'll help too. Blaine may be my brother, but Liza Marie needs Puck in her life, and Blaine needs all the help he can get."
Then Dave Karofsky commented, "Quinn, Blaine was staying with me and Mr. H. Tell Kurt he was arrested for hitting my son. Santana was the surrogate. Ha, Boss and Santana didn't want anyone to know, but since Blaine went off the deep end, they don't care anymore. Tell Puck and Kurt we'll be by soon." After Quinn read the comments, they heard Noah start singing along with Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler as it played on the radio while Kurt streamed it on Facebook.
Then Liza Marie put her hand on Noah's face, and he whispered, "I love you, Sara-bear."
Kurt was about to say something when Noah said, "While you were taking care of your dad, I was taking care of my mom and sister. I was too blind to see that my dad was an abusive dick. Now, I'm blind for real and didn't get to save Sarah or her baby from her ex. I'm just glad you left Blaine and that Liza Marie will never remember that son of a bitch."
Noah turned to Quinn and said, "I promised myself I would never be like my dad after you had Beth. I let Finn guide me and couldn't see what he was doing until it was too late. I was too blind to see everything that was happening right in front of me, Quinn." Quinn didn't respond and just looked at Noah.
