Preparing for the First Mission

The scene shows Ozpin's office with the headmaster himself along with Glynda and Ironwood who is looking very angry upon what happened last night with the CTT, hearing this from Wolverine and Ruby.

"They were here... Ozpin, they were here!" James repeated and raised his voice a little.

"We're very much aware of that! Thank you, James." Glynda said.

"Fantastic! You're aware! Now are we going to do something about it, or should we just stay the course and continue to ignore what's right in front of us?!" James asked, feeling furious that he couldn't do anything about what was happening under their nose.

"Calm yourself, James. We'll think of a way or two together." Ozpin assured, then heard the elevator just arrived.

"Come in." Ozpin said.

Ruby and Wolverine enter the office though the girl with the red hood looks a little nervous with both hands behind her.

"Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way up here… It wasn't me." Ruby explained a bit.

"Thank you for coming, Ruby, Wolverine. How are you feeling?" Ozpin asked.

"Okay, I guess. I'd feel better if my bad-guy-catching record wasn't O-for-three." Ruby said trying to make a little joke, but everyone was silent and Wolverine sigh.

"I'm more pissed off that bastard got away from me, he's just scared that I'll ram my claws through his heart." Wolverine angered showing his claws.

"Yeah, you were really angry at that Sabretooth guy." Ruby commented.

"Oh, did you also know that he has a brother as a bad guy?!" Ruby asked shock.

"You could say we've already been informed about his background and such." Glynda said crossing her arms under her breasts.

"Glad to know you guys always remember my messages." Nick said as he walks out of the shadow from a corner of the office.

"God, Furry! You can still scare me even after all these years." James gasped.

"That's the kind of impression I get when I deal with those even Hunters can't handle." Nick stated.

"Haven't seen you a long time." Wolverine said.

"What? Were you expecting gifts or souvenirs?" Nick asked sarcastically, then turn his attention to Ruby.

"The daughter of Taiyang Xiao Long and Summer Rose, I can tell you're a bright spirited young girl." Nick complimented.

"Oh, thank you." Ruby giggled a bit.

"I heard that you and Wolverine took action, glad to know you two noticed something odd last night." Nick impressed.

"Yes, we appreciate that. I feel it's appropriate to let you both know that I think what you did last night is exactly what being a Huntsman and Huntress is all about. You recognized a threat. You took action. And you did the very best you could." James said.

"Thank you, sir." Ruby smiled.

"Sure, thanks. Just hope you don't drag me into being an experiment like before." Wolverine glared at the general.

James looks sad from hearing that as he looks towards Nick who just shrug before letting out a sigh.

"Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that... transpired last night, but now that you've rested, we were wondering if you had anything to add." Ozpin said.

"Was anyone else with her? Did the woman look familiar to you at all?" Glynda asked.

"No, there was no one else there as it was just the two of them and even though the fight was very short, I can tell from just looking they work well together. Oh, and she was very silent." Ruby explained how she saw the fight.

"Although I did notice the black mask woman seem to carry a lot of glass with her and some dust, that could either be her Semblance to make glass her weapon or she's very skilled in the arts of embedding Dust into her clothing." Wolverine remembered seeing that.

"Oh yeah, I did saw parts of her clothes glow when she attacked me. Almost like a fire color." Ruby recalled that instant moment.

"Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Ruby." Glynda remembered that time.

"Embedding Dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone." James pointed out.

"But that glow part has me curious that her Semblance could involve fire as well." Nick added.

"You know, the White Fang might be involved in this since Sabretooth was involved with the Dust robbery from the dock weeks ago." Wolverine mentioned.

"Hmm, you could be right which would make things look worry since this is your brother we're talking about." Nick crossed his arms.

"Sabretooth has been known as a wanted criminal with a dangerous blood lust that scares even the White Fang, and now he's working with them for something big otherwise he would still be on his own." Ozpin explained the info about Sabretooth.

"Don't forget Roman is also part of this." Ruby said, then thought of something.

"Oh, I think I remember that Sabretooth guy said something about the southeast of a hideout or something." Ruby mentioned a little lie.

"(Really? I don't remember him saying anything like that.)" Wolverine thought confused of that part.

"Whatever the case, it looks like they were trying to get something from the tower and succeed." Nick feared.

"I don't care if he wanted the info on anyone's birthday, that guy is at the top of my hitlist to kill!" Wolverine growled.

"We understand and if we ever hear any word about Sabretooth, we'll let you know." Nicked promised with a hand on his shoulder.

"But Nick" Glynda was about to object the idea, but Ozpin cut in.

"Thank you for your cooperation, you two. Why don't you go and spend some time with your team? You have a big day ahead of you." Ozpin send them off.

"Right, we have our first mission select today." Wolverine remembered.

"Then we'll be going!" Ruby cheered as they walk to the elevator.

Wolverine and Ruby arrived at their room as they open the door, and their teammates came at them hurry with concern looks on their faces asking what happened.

"What happened?" Yang asked.

"Calm down, we just got back." Wolverine said.

(Ozpin's Office)

"Well, there we have it. We send as many troops as we can to the southeast, find out exactly what's going on, and eradicate any forces that stand in our way." James suggested strongly.

"Why must your answer to everything involve a triumphant display of military bravado!? You treat every situation like it's a contest of measuring di—!"

"Glynda!" Ozpin stopped the woman from finishing that sentence.

"Well, he does." Glynda said.

"Look Ironwood, we get how on edge you can be when it comes to something that could be very dangerous to the kingdom and the entire world as we know it, we can't just go in gun blazing that we might end up helping the enemy like spreading the negativities if things go bad." Nick stated.

"The enemy could have something else too, or maybe we're being part of this evil plan without even realizing. There are too many unknown things that we have yet to see." Nick pointed out.

"Then how would you go about this? Just hold up the defense and wait for the enemy to come to us?" James asked.

"Do I look like the kind of guy who would wait for the fireworks to happen?" Nick answered with another question.

"Remember you're the general, when you and your men are about to be prepare for battle. What do you do first to get a heads up on the enemies? Who do you send first?" Nick asked.

"You're talking about sending Wolverine where Sabretooth could possibly be, are you?" Glynda asked with concern in her eyes.

"The man was clear about wanting to fight him." Nick said.

"But that's putting him in more than a child should." Glynda stated.

"Glynda, I don't need to remind you that Wolverine is older than he looks, and he had more experience than the students here. Not to mention he and Sabretooth have been fighting each other for years." Nick pointed out some things.

"Even if we sent him somewhere else, his path is still going to cross with Sabretooth, no matter what." Nick added.

"I hated when you make sense." Glydna sighed in defeat, hoping her lover will be okay.

(Team RWWBY's Room)

"I'm glad we sent Wolverine with you otherwise you would have made the conversation risky." Weiss said.

"I still can't believe you made up the part about Sabretooth and the southeast." Wolverine surprised at Ruby.

"I was just trying to get them to help without them knowing we're involve in it." Ruby explained.

"Either way, you guys handle it well." Blake believed.

"So, anything interesting happen while we were away?" Wolverine asked.

"Nothing too fun, something from the mail came and I thought of opening it with Ruby." Yang mentioned as she held a cylindrical package the length of her forearm.

"What's that?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know yet. Dad sent it to us. I thought we could open it together!" Yang answered.

"Ooooh! Something from home!" Ruby excited and zoom over to Yang with her legs around the waist and reaching for the package.

Yang shook the package once and the lid open from the bottom as a black hairy object that is the same shape of the package came out, it landed on the floor as everyone looks at it and the object shake for a second before transforming into a black and white dog.

The dog looks up at the team before barking twice causing some reactions like Ruby and Yang being excited seemingly like they know this dog, Weiss and Blake are in great shock, and Wolverine just stares blankly shock.

"Zwei!" Ruby cheered of joy.

"What the…?" Wolverine is at a loss for words.

"He sent a dog?" Blake gasped.

"In the mail?" Weiss gasped as well.

Ruby picks up Zwei getting licks of hello making the red girl giggles of joy to have the family pet with them as Yang smiles of the cute scene and happy to see the dog too.

"Oh, he does stuff like this all the time!" Yang said.

"Your father or your dog?" Blake asked as she disappeared for a second and shown hiding on Ruby's bed.

"I never knew your dog could even fit in there." Wolverine looked at the small package.

"Let just say Zwei is a unique dog in his own way." Yang smiled.

"(I never seen Zwei do that when I was staying at the Xiao-Long-Summer home for the break.)" Wolverine thought realized, wondering what else this dog can do.

"Are you telling me that this mangy... drooling... mutt is going to wiv wif us foweva? Oh, yes, he is, yes, he is! Oh, isn't he adorable!" Weiss tried to be strict about petting animals in, but the cuteness of Zwei overpowered her and she is now fond of the dog.

"That dog just made Weiss Schnee surrender; the world must be ending." Wolverine gasped.

"Oh, be quiet, you!" Weiss glared.

"Nope, false alarm. She's fine." Wolverine said.

"Please keep it away from my belongings." Blake begged as she doesn't want dog gems all over her books.

"Would all first-year students please report to the amphitheater?" Glynda informed over the speaker boxes.

"We better get going if we want to pick up the good missions." Wolverine stated.

"But what about Zwei? We can't exactly leave him here while we're gone for the week." Weiss pointed out.

"Oh yeah…" Wolverine worried that the dog might go hungry if he doesn't have any food to eat with.

"I'm sure their dad wouldn't send him here without having some food to go by." Wolverine hoped he's right.

Ruby kept holding Zwei in her arms until she puts him down, Zwei then went over to try pointlessly reaching for Blake which frightens her a little, and then went over in front of Yang.

"I think you're right, here's the letter." Yang pulled out a letter she just found in the package.

"Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days, so I'm sending Zwei to you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need. Love you both, Taiyang." Yang read the letter.

Suddenly dozens of dogfood cans fell out of the package piling onto Zwei.

"Okay, was your dad part street magician before he went to Beacon?" Wolverine asked curious.

"Uh, I never really thought about asking him that." Yang said, now finding herself to be curious as well.

"Well, it looks like Zwei got plenty of food to last until we come back." Wolverine noticed this is more than a few days for Zwei to get by as he pops his head out.

"Then it settled! Come on girls, Wolverine, Zwei will be here when we get back!" Yang assured as she walks out of the room.

"Sorry that we have to leave you when you just got here, but I promise we'll have some playtime when we get back." Wolverine promised as he pets Zwei on the head and he barks happily.

"Oh, I'll miss you so much, we're going to be best friends, I can't wait to see you." Weiss excited making silly faces for Zwei.

Blake left in a hurry without getting back on the floor to avoid the dog.

Ruby is the only one who remains in the room looking down at Zwei feeling sad that he just got here to spend time with her and Yang and Wolverine, but now they have to leave so soon until she gets an idea.

(Amphitheater)

Ruby is seen carrying her backpack towards the meetup place then place it down along with the other baggage then meet up with her team along with Jen and Bruce together.

"You guys excited to go on your first mission?" Yang asked.

"Oh yeah, I'm ready to show the world what the She-Hulk is made of!" Jen smirked and flexed her muscles.

"She-Hulk?" Weiss puzzled of the name.

"It's a nickname she came up with for when she goes off fighting Grimms and men who are stupid enough to fight her." Bruce explained.

"Wow, you must really want to save yourself for someone special." Wolverine smirked.

"Oh, you could say he's close than you think." Jen winked at Wolverine.

"Quiet! Quiet please." Glynda said getting everyone's attention.

"Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin." Glynda informed before stepping away and Ozpin walking up to the mic.

"Today we stand together, united. Mistral. Atlas. Vacuo. Vale. The four Kingdoms of Remnant. On this day, nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to an end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was about much more than where borders fell or who traded with whom, but about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression. And as you are well aware, that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself: color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither were the generations to come. And it was a trend that is held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, Huntsmen and Huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional Huntsman or Huntress on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the Kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best." Ozpin said calm and steps away.

After the speech, Wolverine look to their team as they are thinking the same thing as he is.

"Alright, time we get our mission and on our way to the southeast!" Wolverine excited crossing his arms in an X and his claws out too.
