AN: Yo, if you aren't a first-time reader I added a bit to the chapter. So start from where you left off yea?
Diana was not in a good mood.
Boom!
No. Not in a good mood at all.
"Shit! It's Wonder woman!" she silenced the man, probably breaking several bones in the process.
Actually, if not for her oaths to the league she'd just kill these criminals and be done with it. 'The world would be better for it,' She thought to herself while crushing another's arm.
But no, no, she can't kill even the vilest of criminals. She understands the reasoning, of course, she just doesn't like it.
So she just held back a little less. Breaking bones and getting a bit of blood on her knuckles. She wouldn't get in too much trouble for crippling most of these men for life. And funnily enough, it was just men running this operation, or at least as far as she could tell.
Looking around at the several hundred or so men, she didn't even spare the workers, not even the ones who surrendered. She would have. She would have tied them up and left them for the villagers, the few who are still alive. The few women who aren't drugged up enough to form a coherent thought wouldn't be in any condition to find retribution.
She stomped on one's knee, crushing it. "Which one are you? A murderer? Rapist? Defiler?" Brief flashes of the bodies of men, women, and children being carted off to a mass burning flashed through her eyes. "Or are you all three?"
Luckily in her rage, she managed to leave at least one conscious, she felt just a bit relieved grasping the man by his hair and wrapping her lasso loosely around his neck. Loose enough for him to breathe at least.
"What were you and these men doing here?"
"We were just hired by some big shot to drill and dig into the mountain until we found something." Oh? That shouldn't have taken so long. With this equipment, they shouldn't have enough time to leave a village so large in the state it was in.
"Do you know the name of this 'big shot'" She would personally visit the person responsible for allowing this.
"N-no, I was just getting paid.
Now she could ask him why the village was in the state it was in. Why all the women and girls were drugged, chained, and violated. Why all the men and boys were no doubt killed. But whatever answer he gave would probably make her snap his neck.
"How close were you to finding anything? Why were you taking so long?" She could barely keep her anger in check.
"We've already found something; our drills can't get through it no matter how long we try. That mountain ain't like normal rock, it's takin' us days to dig what would normally take us hours, plus more and more men were going crazy, well that and we could do anything we wanted down at the vill- Ack." She silenced him with a punch to the gut, probably rupturing a few organs.
"Disgusting pigs."
Starting in the direction of the tunnels she could take a guess as to why anyone would want to excavate this mountain. Even with her meager magical talent, she could practically taste the energy in the air, only getting stronger the deeper she went.
"Wonder woman to the watchtower, picking up unknown energy inside a mountain after clearing some filth. Requesting Zatara as soon as possible." She figured she'd have to call this mess in eventually, especially in getting help for the village survivors.
A slightly hollowed voice replied. "Request granted Wonder Woman, Zatara will be arriving shortly," Red Tornado was on com duty today. "Update on your status?"
"I'm heading inside the mountain, the filth outside was excavating it or trying to, are dealt with. The mineral here seems to be saturated in magic so they weren't doing well on that front. One of the men said there was a point in digging in which they couldn't make any progress. Well, that and they kept on going crazy." She said while casually pushing a large machine out of the way.
"Noted. Do you have anything to add?"
Yes. Tell Zatara the deeper I go the more oppressing the magical energy is. And-" Diana sniffed the air. "-the more floral I can smell."
"Informing Zatara now. He is due to your location in approximately thirty seconds."
"Okay, Wonder Woman out." She cut off the radio feed, coming to a stop at a large wall with several machines alongside it.
"Now what are you…" she spoke aloud while moving the heavy machinery to the side. Touching the wall she could feel… something.
"That is precisely what I would like to know." A cultured voice called from behind her.
"Zatara." She greeted. "Any idea what this might be?"
He came closer to the wall and spoke something in his Mystic tongue before he shook his head. "It seems as though it's just normal rock saturated in magic. It's the energy it's giving off that's concerning." He ran his hand down it. "The one thing I do know is that it's powerful and that there's something on the other side. It doesn't feel like it's keeping anything out particularly, the rock is just a byproduct of being saturated in it."
"What does that mean." Diana turned back to the wall.
"That means it's not being used to keep anything out, or in. Or at least that it isn't a seal. Who knows?"
"So the oppressive feeling is nothing but leftovers?"
"Yes, it is quite frightening. It's actually taking all I have not to turn and never look back at this place." The man let out a shaky breath. "What are you planning on doing?"
Diana went to speak but paused, she was still angry over the village. Furious because those men were still alive. She needed to think clearly.
"We will contact the rest of the league before making any decisions. Whatever this is, it's something big. I know it."

A few minutes later they met up with the Flash, Superman, Batman, Hal Jordon, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman outside the mountain.
"Diana, these men-"
"Don't." Diana cut off. "They deserve far worse. Save your judgment until after you see what they did to the village, and get medical personnel immediately.
Batman was silent for a moment. "Deal." With that, he turned to make the call.
Superman spoke up, "So besides a small army of crippled men what are we looking at?"
Diana nodded to Zatara who spoke, "Right, this mountain is saturated in a magic I can't Identify-"
"Wait, so we're dealing with more mystic magic crap? Why call the whole league?" Flash asked.
"Not mystic. Magic. There's a distinction. This is nothing like the mystic arts." Zatara pointed out.
"Nor any Atlantean magic," Aquaman added.
"Nor Martian," Martian Manhunter also added.
"Haven't felt anything like it in this galaxy." Hal Jorden spoke up.
Diana was getting sick of this. "Which is why we called all of you here. To not only get more insight as to what this is but to decide on the next course of action." She looked at Zatara, "Continue."
Clearing his throat the man spoke again, "Yes, thank you. Now according to Wonder Woman the men outside have all but given up making any more progress due to firstly, it becoming all but impossible to break the stone the deeper you go, but also men losing their sanity from exposure to the energy. Now from what I can tell it isn't malicious in nature. If you have enough will, you'll be able to handle it. Albeit not easily."
Superman crossed his arms, "If it's not malicious, then why is it driving people insane? And what did you mean by 'Magic not mystic'"
"For the first question, I do not know. My best guess is it's just too much for normal minds. It's just naturally oppressive." Zatara replied. "As for the second, different mystic arts share a common feeling, a certain taste if you would. No matter how different, Atlantean, mundane, even if they are complete opposites like chaos and order, they will share this taste. This feels like magic but not like the mystic arts. It's much more primal. The mystic arts are magic but magic is not mystic, That is the best I can explain." He finished.
"Rectangles and squares?"
"Yes," Zatara sighed, "Rectangles and squares."
"So what are we doing messing with it?" Flash asked.
"What we're doing," Batman cut in, finished making the necessary calls, "is deciding on whether or not we'll 'mess' with it. Because someone else was clearly trying too, and for an operation this size they have to have deep pockets"
"Well, then why keep drilling at something that's clearly not going to break?"
"Because," Diana sneered, "They didn't want to spoil their fun at the village. They likely didn't tell their superiors." That feeling of wanting to castrate came back.
"Ah." Flash went silent after that. "So what are we doing?"
"Depends." Batman looked at Zatara. "This 'wall' you keep mentioning. What are chances whatever's on the other side is hostile?" he asked.
"Eh," Zatara did an 'iffy' motion with his hand. "I'd say about fifty-fifty."
"Superman have you tried X-ray vision?"
"Just did. I can't make out anything past whatever those rocks are, all I see is red."
"Batman narrowed his eyes, "I guess there's only one course of action we can take." He began walking inside the mountain.

"Damn, you weren't joking with this oppressive stuff," Flash said as they were walking deeper into the mountain. "It's like it's adding more weight the further we walk in."
Superman grunted, "Yes it does." He agreed. "It's not much but I can feel something and for me feeling any weight at all is noticeable."
Diana nodded in acknowledgment, "Yes. I felt the same. It is much more potent the closer to the wall we get."
Only Martian Manhunter and Aquaman stayed outside as a sort of safety net for if things go downhill. 'It was the smart thing to do.' Diana thought to herself trying to take in the feeling around her, pushing her back, almost testing her resolve.
Soon enough they were at the cavern. "Forget weighing me down, it feels like it's trying to strangle me at this point," Flash said.
Green lantern walked up to the wall. "Yeah, it does. My ring's reacting strangely to it." He pointed his ring at the wall.
"What do you mean," Batman asked.
"I don't know, like Zatara said it isn't Malicious, just oppressive as hell. It's like it's challenging my ring, my will itself." He stepped back as Zatara stepped forward.
"I must warn you all that I don't know if I can actually do this. It will require a level of brute force that I don't think I have." He placed his hand on the stone.
"Then use me." Diana stepped forward.
"Wait you can use magic." Hal Jorden asked.
Diana rolled her eyes. "I am a demigoddess, of course, I can. I just don't. She looked at Zatara, "Will it work?"
Zatara nodded, "It should, place your hand on the wall."
Placing her hand on the wall, she felt Zatara place his hand on her back. "Okay, you should feel my magic guiding yours through what we need to do, push down the instinct to push against it."
"Got it," Diana confirmed. When he started to chant, she did indeed feel it. Sometimes she forgets just how much power she has compared to mortal magicians. 'Maybe I should cultivate my magic more,' she thought. Every tool should be used after all.
Suddenly her magic surged, and she could feel it do… something. 'Okay, I'm going to study up the first chance I get.' she thought while her hand grew hot from the power pushing through it. She could feel tendrils of her own magic pushing through the strange energy, then widening.
She gasped when she felt the dormant energy viscously push back, the pressure on everyone's minds suddenly increasing in weight ten-fold. Taking matters into her own hands, having figured out what Zatara was guiding her magic in doing she didn't have much need for the man anymore, she pushed back with all her might. The tendrils quickly speared the rock and shattered whatever force was making them so sturdy.
As soon, as she did the wall split and the pressure stopped growing, becoming stagnant again. However, the crack that appeared in the wall radiated what felt like raw malice and rage. It appeared so suddenly and was so potent that it made everyone, including herself, take a step back, or in Zatara's case, several.
"Zatara, what is this?" Batman gritted out.
"I-I don't know," Zatara stammered, slowly backing away still, "This is unprecedented."
"Flash, go warn the others," Batman ordered.
"On it," Flash sped off.
Diana was still standing strong, even as the others were scrambling, and preparing themselves she didn't move. Whatever this was, it had the same feel as a cornered animal, as if this was just posturing. Zatara is probably too blinded by the sudden onslaught of malice to notice.
"I'm going in," she told them, wedging herself into the crack.
"Wonder woman be careful." Superman told her, "This could be dangerous, even for us."
"I'll be fine," Diana was confident that whatever was behind this door would be unable to defeat her if this was the worst it had to offer, as suffocating as the feeling of dread was as she wedged herself deeper.
Deeper and deeper she went, it seemed as if the hole was lasting forever, though that could just be her mind playing tricks. 'At least the crevice is getting wider.' she thought, able to nearly walk normally now.
The pure malice was growing the deeper she went, so much so that Diana had to pause her trek and breath. The feeling of dread had been closing around her throat for a while now, but now it felt like a noose.
After a few more minutes, she saw a light at the end of the tunnel, literally. A yellow light shone through the However, the last few steps were the most challenging. The pressure from before was back, and that combined with the hostility almost proved to be too much for her.
"Just.. a little.. more." Diana gritted out. She put her all into one more step, one more step, then she could deal with whatever possessed such vile intent.
With a gasp, she passed through an opening and felt relief, her sight was suddenly filled with yellow and her nose with an overwhelming floral scent.
'Flowers?' she questioned her eyes, the massive cavern she found herself in was filled with them, just yellow flowers climbing the walls, sweeping from the ceiling in great arches, pedals were even drifting lazily through the air. All glowed from a golden light that radiated from somewhere above.
Taking in the sheer beauty of this place, her eyes fell onto where the mass of flowers in the center of the room, or more precisely the figure laying upon it.
"A child?" Diana quickly flew to where it seemed the light was shining down brightest, landing she noticed that the child, a young girl, seemed to be sleeping peacefully. She had brown hair splayed out like a halo around her head and a light tan, her features almost seemed angelic with how serene she looked. She was wearing a large blue sweater with two pinkish, horizontal stripes and shorts, high-kneed socks, and sneakers.
While Diana was trying to figure out how to approach this -she isn't the best at dealing with children, let alone in this situation- the girl sat up and rubbed her eyes, before seemingly looking at her, despite her eyes being closed.
"Who are you," her voice was soft and sweet, Diana thought it fit the atmosphere well.
"Most call me Wonder Woman, but you may call me Diana," Diana answered, deciding to try and be as approachable as possible, "May I have yours?" she asked, kneeling beside the girl.
The child's response was delayed, but she answered nevertheless, "I'm Frisk, nice to meet you." Despite her voice being so sweet, she didn't show much outward emotion at all, and with her eyes being closed she still looked as if she was in the same peaceful sleep Diana found her in.
"It's very nice to meet you as well." Diana said gently, "I'm going to ask you some questions now, is that okay?"
Again the response was delayed, but Frisk nodded regardless.
"Okay, do you know how you came to be in this place?" Diana asked her first question.
Frisk shook her head, "No, I don't Ms. Diana."
Oh? A polite one, "Do you know how long you were asleep?" she asked, "And you don't need to be so formal."
"Nope."
"How about these flowers? Do you know what they are?" Diana gestured around them.
Frisk opened her mouth, about to answer, but then closed it. "No, I don't," she repeated after a moment.
Diana could tell that was a lie, and the delayed responses were strange to her, but the child just woke in a strange place so it could just be shock.
"Okay then, may I ask if your eyes are okay? Have you been hurt?" The closed eyes are the most concerning to her -concerning the child herself- if they're damaged I can get you medical attention right away.
"No, my eyes are fine," Frisk reassured her. "They're working perfectly."
'She's awfully well-spoken for a child aa young as she looks.' Diana thought, growing suspicious, "That's good to hear Frisk, now why don't you open your eyes?"
The delay was longer this time, Frisk's mouth even twitched, "I just don't." her cheeks flushed a light shade of pink.
"I see," Diana noted the odd reaction, and decided to put a pin in it for later. "The questions are almost over, now do you know how old you are?" This delay was the longest yet.
"Eight, I think." She said after a long pause, "Maybe nine."
"You think?"
Frisk nodded, "I think."
Diana closed her eyes, "I see."
After a moment Diana decided that the line of questioning was going nowhere, she needed to get a move on.
"Okay Frisk, I suppose that's enough," she looked straight at Frisk's closed eyes, " Do you know about the magic surrounding this place?"
Frisk tilted her head, "Magic?" the response was notably quicker than the previous.
Diana nodded, "Yes, magic. It had driven weak-willed men mad, made strong men cower, and when we opened the way to this place, grew so hostile it felt like the malice alone was suffocating."
"What do you mean by mala-" she suddenly turned her head, "-Chara, stop being mean!"
Diana blinked once, "What?"
Then the girl started to apologize profusely for 'Chara' and how she was just 'playing around', all the while Diana was trying to figure out whether to be concerned for the girl's health or preparing for a fight. She decided on both.
"-I promise she'll stop pranking humans now that we're both awake. She was probably just surprised- Chara!" She turned her head and started talking adamantly to the air. "Yes. I know, but- We don't even know if they're humans," she pouted.
…Maybe she should get someone better suited.
"No. I'm not doing that." Frisk's cheeks grew flushed again, Diana could tell she was trying -and failing to calm down. "-and you're only like two inches taller than me."
She should definitely get a professional.
"Frisk." Diana interrupted the girls -possible- hallucinatory one-sided conversation.
Frisk stopped talking immediately, then took a breath, "Yes?" she turned her head towards Diana. "I apologize. We didn't mean to start ignoring you. She's just being a dummy." She stuck out her tongue at 'Chara'.
"That's okay Frisk," Diana started slowly, "Now, what did you mean by Chara being 'mean'?" Hopefully, she could Navigate this properly. "What exactly is she doing and can she stop doing it?"
"Chara was bored," Frisk was back to her apparent 'default' mode, "And she was just playing, she stopped a few minutes ago."
Diana sighed, this is going nowhere. "Okay, I'm going to call my friend. Is that okay?"
Frisk took a long moment to respond before she answered, "Y-yes that's okay."
'Such a strange girl,' Diana thought to herself before putting a finger to her ear and calling the rest of her party on her com, "Wonder Woman to Batman, the situation is under control. You can come in."
Her radio crackled, "And about the rock?"
Diana's eyes widened, "Oh yes, I had forgotten," she looked at Frisk, "Could Chara do something about the magic-making the rock so difficult to break?
Frisk looked at 'Chara' then looked back at Diana and shrugged, "She doesn't know what you're talking about.
Diana resisted the urge to palm her face, "The same magic that's causing madness? The malice? Chara's doing? It's been affecting the filth working here for quite a while."
"We have no idea what you're talking about, she thought you were talking about when you woke her up."
Diana let out some air and tried to keep the frustration out of her voice, again, she's not good with kids, "Okay then, let's put a pin in that conversation for now. Can you or Chara do anything about it now that you know about it?"
After a pause, Frisk answered, "Chara says no because you're being a bitch," Diana almost crushed some of the beautiful flowers she was sitting on, "-But I can try if you want?"
Diana needed to get someone who knew how to handle this better asap, "Yes, that would be wonderful Frisk."
Frisk laid back down in the flowers and held a hand to the ceiling, "Okay," she answered. Diana couldn't tell if she was focusing or not with her looking as if she were sleeping but decided to wait it out.
Frisk's eyebrows furrowed slightly, "Huh, that's weird…"
Her fingers flexed.
Then the feeling of oppression from earlier came back but much much worse. Dianna's throat closed up from the sudden intensity of it. Hades, she almost drew her blade out of reflex.
But then just as suddenly as it appeared it was gone.
"Okay, it should be okay now. I don't know why our soul was doing that," Frisk's hand dropped to her side.
"And what exactly was it doing?" Diana's eyes widened, "Wait, did you say soul?"
"We don't know, and yes," Frisk said simply.
Diana didn't know how to respond to that and just answered, "I see," she put a finger to her ear, "Batman, how are you fairing?"
"Whatever you did worked, we'll be at your location shortly," Just then the wall -Diana just noticed the opening she came in was gone- crumbled to show the form of superman standing in front of the other heroes that formed their party.
Diana's eyes widened, 'It's as if the passage I went through didn't exist," she decided to voice her thoughts. "Why is it as if you were on the other side of a wall? The path I took was much longer," she looked at frisk who only shrugged, "I feel cheated."
Her words fell on mostly deaf ears as the other heroes looked around the large, flower-filled cavern.
"Wonder Woman, who is this?" Batman asked referring to Frisk and ignoring the beauty around him, "And what is this place?"
"This is Frisk," the girl in question waved, "And now you know as much as I do." Diana had to keep the frustration out of her voice. It probably wasn't Frisk's fault after all.
"Is she a child?"
"As far as I can tell."
Batman was about to ask another question when Frisk stood and started walking to the exit.
"Frisk, what are you doing?" Diana asked, standing up herself.
Frisk stopped, and 'looked' at Diana over her shoulder, "Oh, Chara's getting uncomfortable surrounded by so many humans," she started to walk again but stopped abruptly, "Okay, I'm also uncomfortable, happy now?" she said looking at nothing over her shoulder, and started to walk again.
Diana quickly flew to the child after sharing a look with Batman and Superman, "Hey! please stay," she touched down in front of Frisk, "These are my friends, my comrades, they won't hurt you."
Frisk was silent. Diana could tell what she was thinking, she doubted even Batman could. Of course, he could always surprise her, the mortal man always found a way.
"You can fly?" Frisk broke the silence.
"Yes?" Diana hated how that sounded like a question.
"Neat," Frisk sat down, "Can we ask questions too?" A blue, torn, and bloodied hooded jacket appeared in her hands, she wrapped it around herself and snuggled deeper into it.
"…Where did that come from?" Diana asked.
"A friend," Frisk said simply.
"I see…" Diana looked at each of the heroes gathered, "We'll tackle that later, yes?" After the various heroes voiced their agreement Diana nodded, "Anyways. First, let me introduce you to my friends." By this point, the other heroes gathered around.
"Me and Chara?"
Diana nodded, "My apologies, You and Chara."
"Wonder Woman, what-" she cut Green Lantern off with a look.
"Frisk, Chara meet my friends," she introduced them all one by one starting with Green Lantern and ending with Batman. "You can ask questions now, just know we will have more questions after."
It took Frisk a second to nod, "Okay," she pointed at Superman, "Why is your underwear outside of your clothing? Did you mess up putting them on?"
"Well no, this is-"
"Why are you dressed like a burglar?" she asked facing Batman. "And you're outfit is weird." She told Green Lantern.
"That's not even a quest-"
"-Wait, why are you in your bathing suit?" She asked Diana.
"Okay new rule, when you ask a question, wait for someone to answer, Diana told her, "And to answer the majority of your questions, they are just costumes we put on to conceal our identities."
"You did not comment on my costume," Zatara said.
Frisk barely glanced at him, "You look normal. She directed her attention at Diana, "Okay, I understand."
"Let's add one rule," Batman cut in, "Actually, let's make this a game, we answer a question then we ask you a question, whoever doesn't answer a question first loses." Diana thought it amusing to see the stoic Batman offer up to play a game with anyone.
Frisk nodded, a small smile on her otherwise expressionless face, "Okay, how do we know who goes first?"
Batman held out a fist, "Rock, paper, scissors."
Frisk nodded and held out her own fist.
They silently played, with Frisk or 'Chara' calling for a two out of three when Batman won. He won again.
"My turn, how long have you been here?" Batman asked.
"I don't know," Frisk looked up at the tall hero, "I only woke a little bit ago." Diana thought it to be a bit obvious.
"I see… Your question."
"Hmm, okay. Why did you call Diana wonder woman? Is that a nickname?"
Diana sheepishly looked away when Batman gave her a look, "I'm not good with children okay?" she rubbed her head awkwardly.
Batman looked back down to Frisk, "Of sorts, just like our costumes, they help conceal our identity." Batman answered. "My turn, who's Chara?"
Frisk noticeably perked up, "Chara's my big sis," she looked to her right for a moment before correcting herself, "Sorry, my awesome big sis who is only two inches taller than me." She stuck her tongue out.
Batman's eye's narrowed, "Okay, your go."
Frisk paused for a moment, "Chara wants to know if she can play too?" Batman nodded, "Okay," she looked at Green Lantern, "She wants to know what's up with your ring?"
Green Lantern looked surprised for a second before responding, "What do you mean?"
"She doesn't know, she just thinks it's weird," Frisk answered for 'Chara'.
"Okay, Frisk- I'm sorry Chara, it's my question again," Batman took control of the conversation again, "Where is the rest of your family?"
"Oh, they're dead," Frisk answered without missing a beat, "How does Diana fly?"
"Wait, you're going to have to elaborate on that," Superman, who had been silent until now, cut in. "Your family's dead?"
Frisk frowned, "You're breaking the rules."
Batman cut in, "Yes, you are." He met superman's eye's for a brief moment, Superman sighed and nodded, "And it won't happen again.
"My flight is a gift from Hermes, a Greek god." Diana helpfully answered.
Frisk stretched her arms over her head, "Cool, since Superman cheated do we get another question?"
"That would be fair."
"Neat, where's Hermes?" she asked.
They all looked at Diana, "He is currently in Olympus, and is unreachable to mortals."
Frisk looked at 'Chara' for a good two minutes before simply saying, "Huh… cool."
"Alright, now can you tell me where 'Chara' is right now," Batman asked.
Frisk pointed to her right, where she had been turning throughout the conversation, "Right there," she nodded and said "Okay," before turning back to Batman. "Chara wants to why you conceal your identities."
"We conceal them for a variety of reasons, but mainly because we are heroes and need to protect ourselves and our loved ones from our enemies."
Frisk looked at 'Chara' and whispered, "No that would be cheating…"
"Cheating?"
Frisk nodded, "Chara wants to know what 'Heroes' are?"
Batman frowned, "To cut it short, a hero is someone who protects and sacrifices for others. It's a title given, not taken."
Frisk nodded along but was clearly paying attention to a voice only she could hear.
"Now it's my turn," Batman waited until she was paying attention, "What did you mean by humans making you uncomfortable? You look pretty human yourself."
Frisk opened her mouth to speak then just paused, "I'm not saying that, pick something else please." Frisk went to speak again, but just sighed, "Chara says humans suck." Her mouth twitched, "It's the same thing."
Batman waited until this exchange was over until he spoke, "I take it 'Chara' isn't fond of humans?"
Frisk looked at Batman and shugged, "I don't either, Chara just wasn't being polite."
"Batman was silent for several seconds before saying, "…I see. It's your turn."
Frisk's response was rather delayed before she asked, "What's your real name?"
Batman folded his arms, "I can't answer that."
Frisk tilted her head, "So we win?"
"Yes," Batman said slowly, "You win."
Frisk did a little fist pump and held out her hand in 'Chara's' direction, after a second she put her hand down and stood up and stretched. "Oh, and Chara says she knows your full of shit." Green Lantern and even Superman chuckled at that.
"Frisk, can you do us a favor?" Batman asked. Frisk paused in her stretching, "hmm," she put her fingers to her chin, thinking for a moment, "Okay, but after this, we're leaving."
He gestured to Diana, "Wonder Woman here has a magic rope that would make you unable to tell lies, can she tie it around your wrist."
Frisk didn't hesitate to hold out her wrist, "Okay." She looked to the side, "Chara, it's a magic rope," she said as if something was obvious, "I'll be okay."
Diana crouched down to Frisk's level and hesitated, "You're sure?" at Frisk's nod she wrapped her rope loosely around Frisk's wrist. "You've been telling the truth correct?"
"Mostly."
Diana smiled, "That's what I thought," she faced Batman and crossed her arms, "You get one question." Batman nodded.
Looking Frisk in the 'Eyes', he asked, "What are you?"
Frisk immediately answered in a dazed voice, "I'm the pup- No." Frisk's right eye opened a sliver, allowing the heroes to see a flicker of glowing, bloody red.
Diana tensed as the malicious intent came back, along with the pressure. In her peripherals, she saw that Green Lantern's ring had begun to glow brightly itself.
"Don't ruin Frisk's fun." The small, sweet voice of Frisk was gone, this was deeper, darker, and devoid of any kindness or mercy. The girl paused as if she was listening to something, "Fine."
And with that, the eye closed, the pressure lifted as quickly as it appeared, and Green Lantern's ring stopped glowing. Diana let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and grinned. She looked to the others, Superman was staring at Frisk, ready to fight if the need arose. Lantern was in a similar stance. Batman, on the other hand, hadn't moved from his spot, staring down Frisk. Zatara, meanwhile, was casting as many shields as possible between him and the girl. He had probably felt what she had.
Power.
This girl, Frisk, is a complete and utter monster.
Diana clapped her hands getting everyone's attention, including Frisk's who seemed to be spacing out.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Chara!"
AN: Figured I'd turn this into a proper chapter now that it's getting a story, and would like to say that this POV is kind of weird to write after focusing on my girl Toph for so long. (Other story)
But yea, I was pretty on board when I posted the little snip at first cause it was fun to write but was fucking blown away by the reception this got. (On another site) Didn't know people were that thirsty for new Undertale content. Anyways thanks for that.
God, I gotta get used to this POV again.
