A/N: I don't own any of the characters except my own.

Several weeks had gone by and it was now the middle of August. Olivia, Olive, Diana, Kara and Amanda were heading to Chicago for Erin's baby shower. Amanda had gone back to work and then Olivia had only been back a few weeks. They had an afternoon flight, so everyone worked for part of the day and Ed brought Kara to Diana's office, so they could head straight to the airport. Trevor told Olive he would take the 3 kids but he had to take an unexpected business trip to San Francisco, so Hank had all the kids on his own. Jesse was spending most of her time with Hank and Lucy anyway, so she also there until Sonny came to pick her up. Lucy had asked for a few days off, so Hank was going to have his hands full with the 6 of them but Ed said he would help out in any way he could.

Diana picked everyone up and then they headed to the airport. Olivia was now using a cane to get around but at least she was more mobile than she was the last time she saw Erin. She just hoped the flight wasn't going to be too much for her. They arrived at the airport, got checked in and went through security. Then they headed to the gate. Olivia got a Skycap to take her to the gate, since it was quite a distance away from where they were. Once they all got there, they waited for the flight to board.

"Is Hank going to survive the kids this weekend?"

"He'll be fine."

"Jesse was excited to be spending time with Sonny without me."

"Trevor was looking forward to spending time with the kids but unfortunately, he had to go to San Francisco."

"How long is he going to be gone?"

"He'll be there a week."

"You're not going to meet him out there?"

"No."

"It is bound to happen eventually."

"Yeah, I know and I love that he spoils me. That was something I never really had with Justin. He was amazing when I was pregnant with Daniel and once he was born but financially, it was hard. The kids have rooms at Trevor's condo. He did the same thing at the house he bought in the Hamptons."

"Maybe he wants them to feel at home no matter where they are."

"Probably."

"I'm not used to being so spoiled either and neither is Kara. This is still pretty new for us."

"Ed's a good guy. Yeah, now I say that. Just a few years ago, I would have laughed at anyone that told me that because I couldn't stand him."

"Even I have noticed the difference and I felt the same way about him that Liv did. He was really supportive after what happened with Doyle and Peterson and I had never gotten that from him before."

"After I came home after my surgery, he and Kara were over pretty much every day. He took Hank and Al to his family's pub. Hank brought burgers home for us and they were so good. Ed's sister brought food over for us too."

"I go to the pub for lunch a lot. It's really not that far from the office for me. This one is starting to get to know her new family pretty well too. Ed's niece Kelly is the same age as Kara and they get along so well. Kara has already slept over there a few times and Kelly introduced her new cousin to her friends, so she will know people when school starts. They're hoping they will be in the same class."

"That's great."

They all continued talking and then a little while later, they boarded the flight. Several hours later, the flight arrived in Chicago. They got off the plane and headed to Baggage Claim. Diana left and went to get the rental, so Olivia didn't have to walk too much. Diana drove to the hotel and they got checked into their suite. They ordered pizza for dinner and while they were waiting, Olivia called Hank, Diana called Ed and Amanda called Sonny. Olivia talked to Noah and Rachel and then she let Olive talk to both Hank and Daniel. By the time they all got off the phone and got ready for bed, their pizza arrived. They sat around eating pizza and drinking root beer. Kara found the ballgame on TV, so they had that on as well.

"Hank said he's jealous that we're having this pizza for dinner."

"I want to bring Ed to Chicago again just so he can have the pizza."

"I miss Chicago pizza."

"Yes, I know you do."

"Trevor said he has never been to Chicago."

"Then maybe you'll have to bring him here sometime."

"I probably will. I need to get to the cemetery while I'm here too."

"No problem. We'll figure something out."

"They were still having their game tonight, right?"

"Yep. They did something about dinner and then they had the kids in the family room watching something. Jeff's parents went away for the weekend, so he brought his girls over as well."

"Frannie loves watching the kids."

"She loves Hank. I think he wants to get a dog now. Frannie was barking like crazy when Hank had fallen on the ice that night of the ice storm we had when everyone was stuck at work and Jesse ended up with an ear infection."

"The kids would love having a dog. You don't want one?"

"I do but we would need to get someone to take care of it when we go away."

"We're close by."

"Sometimes you go with us."

"True."

"Mom, can we get a dog?"

"I'll talk to your dad and see what he says."

"He's ok with it and it's up to you."

"Maybe we can go over to the shelter and see what we can find."

"Cool."

"Daniel wants a cat. My parents have one of each and he loves the cat so much."

"I don't think Hank is a cat person."

"I've had both pretty much all my life."

"Noah has wanted a dog for a while but when we lived in the apartment, there was really no room to have one. Amanda would bring Frannie over sometimes and that was fine. Hank wants to get something that will be a watchdog and good with the kids."

"That makes sense."

"Does Trevor like animals?"

"Oh, yeah."

"That's good. It's great to be able to get away by myself. Don't get me wrong, I love having Hank spoil me as much as he does though."

"I'm still trying to get used to having someone spoil both of us the way Ed does. A part of me also wishes I could have another baby but it was a risk when I chose to do it at 40."

"I still wish I had had the baby. Hank has said multiple times that it didn't bother him either way."

"If he said that, then he means it."

"I know he does. Noah and Rachel keep him busy and so do the grandkids. He is looking forward to meeting his new granddaughter in a few months and so am I, actually."

"I still have a long way to go before that happens."

"We haven't decided if we are bringing the kids with us when we come here for the birth. If we decide not to bring them, could they stay with you and Ed?"

"It shouldn't be a problem. All 5 of them?"

"I'm going to check with Trevor first for my 3."

"Lucy would probably be able to stay with them all during the day but it's at night that I'm worried about."

"It should be fine. Has Erin decided what she's planning to do yet?"

"Meredith agreed to help them out, so once Erin goes back to work after maternity leave, they will have someone to watch her. Hank has been talking about coming here for the birth like she wants and then coming back once Jay goes back to work."

"That's too much back and forth."

"That's what I think."

"Are you planning to be here a while?"

"I may stay for a week but it depends on how busy we are."

"Don't worry about that. If I need too, I'll take care of it just like I did when you were off after the surgery."

"Liv, we'll be fine. It's been a lot better since Jeff came to work with us. They survived without both of us but of course, Captain Edwards was around to help out. I appreciate all the support that I got from the squad and from IAB with what happened to me. As always, I appreciate you allowing me to stay with you."

"I enjoyed having the company."

"I did too."

"How's the new place?"

"It's great. It's so much bigger than either place was before. Jesse has a lot more room for all her toys. As supportive as Sonny has been, I still can't bring myself to want to be with him."

"It'll take time and he knows that. He's been doing this job long enough. It'll happen when you're ready. Hank has been absolutely amazing during my recovery from the surgery and he also knows it'll be a while before I am physically ready to resume that kind of activity. My therapy and rehab are going well. I hate being on desk duty but I can still do interrogations."

"Just don't overdo it."

"Yeah, I know."

They talked for a while longer and then everyone went to bed. The next morning, they all got up and got ready. Once everyone was ready, they went out for breakfast. The shower was being held at Trudy and Mouch's house. The group from New York had sent their gifts. Diana pulled up and they all got out of the car. They rang the bell and Mouch answered.

"Hey, ladies."

"Hey, Mouch."

"Come on in."

"Thanks."

Everyone walked in.

"Hey, ladies. Glad you could make it."

"We are too."

"How are you feeling, Olivia?"

"I'm getting there."

"Hank actually let you come by yourself?"

"Yep. He's in charge of the troops this weekend."

"All 5 of them?"

"Yep. He still has Ed around to help out if needed. Trevor was going to take Daniel and the twins for the weekend but he had to go to San Francisco for business."

"Wow! Diana, how are things going for you? I heard what happened from Olinsky and Halstead."

"I'm good. I'm just glad Hank was there though."

"I'm just glad that entire thing was over with and that the guy is dead."

"Are things getting serious between you and Trevor?"

"The feelings are there but for right now, it's a friends with benefits thing until I know what I really want. He's great with the kids and he is so protective of me."

"What does your family think of him?"

"They like him. My one aunt married someone 20+ years older than her and they are so happy. A friend of Trevor's married someone my age and they're happy too. Their kids are close to the ages of mine. He does want kids and I want more. The kids have rooms at his condo now and he bought a house in the Hampton, so they have rooms there too. He wants them to feel at home when we're with him. He spoils all 4 of us."

"He sounds like a great guy."

"He really is. I'm glad he's a part of my life. We do spend quite a bit of time together. We work in the same building and have lunch together almost every day. He also comes over for dinner quite a bit. He has become a big part of Daniel's bedtime routine and he loves helping out with the twins. Nikki already has him wrapped around her little finger, just like she does with her papa."

"Rachel definitely has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Is Erin here yet?"

"Not yet. Everyone else is though."

Everyone went into the living room and found a place to sit down. A little while later, Erin and Jay arrived. Trudy answered the door and then they came in. The first person Erin hugged when she came into the living room was Olivia.

"Hey, Mom."

"Hey, Sweetie."

"Thank you so much for all the furniture."

"You're welcome. As the grandparents, we wanted to get it all. You know your dad and how much he loves spoiling his family."

"Yes, I do and I know he does."

"Will and I will definitely have fun putting it all together. Dawson, Olinsky, Ruzek and Atwater all said they would help with whatever we needed too."

"How's the nursery coming?"

"It's coming along. Kim, Trudy, Meredith and Natalie have been a lot of help already and they said they would help get the clothes and blankets washed and folded before we put it in the drawers."

"That's great. Ae you decorating it in a Winnie the Pooh them?"

"Yep. Pooh has always been my favorite."

"Good. Send a picture when it's done."

"We will. The house really looks different from when Hank lived there. We basically repainted the entire house and brought Casey in to make sure everything was up to code with the wiring and all that. We redid the bathrooms and the kitchen, which Matt did. We stayed at Will's while that was being done."

"All that has been done since we last saw you two?"

"Yep. Jay has picked up some overtime doing Patrol to help pay for it."

"That's great."

"You should stop over and see it."

"I should. Then I can take pictures to show your dad."

Everyone got something to eat and then Erin and Jay opened presents. After all the presents were opened, Jay and some of the other guys that were there loaded up Jay's truck and took the presents to their house. Everyone got caught up and then once Jay and the guys came back, they cut the cake. Once everyone started leaving, Diana, Olive, Diana, Kara and Amanda went over to Jay and Erin's, so they could see what they had done to the house. They arrived the house and then they all went inside.

"Oh, wow! This looks amazing."

Olivia took pictures of the living room and kitchen to show Hank.

"Thanks. Can you do stairs now?"

"Yeah. I just need take them slowly."

Everyone headed upstairs and Jay went behind Olivia to make sure she was ok.

"Thanks, Jay."

"No problem."

They looked at what they had done to the bedrooms and bathrooms and Olivia took more pictures to show Hank.

"This looks great, you two."

"Thank you. We can't wait to get the nursery done. That will be our last project for now. Do you want to stay for dinner?"

"Sure."

They went back downstairs and everyone sat down to talk, while Jay fixed spaghetti for dinner. Olivia sent Hank the pictures, so then he called her.

"Hey."

"Hey, yourself. That's what they did to the house?"

"Yep."

"Wow! It looks great."

"Yes, it does. How is everything there?"

"Fine. Ed and I took the kids and met Carisi and Jesse at the Zoo. We all went to his family's pub for lunch and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Ed's mother was fussing over all of them. I dropped Ed off and got the kids down for a nap. The twins fell asleep before we even left the pub."

"That's great. Do you want to say hi to your daughter?"

"Of course."

Olivia handed Erin the phone, so she could talk to Hank.

"Are the boys causing trouble?"

"They met Carisi and Jesse at the Zoo and then they all went to the pub for lunch. Ed's mother was fussing over all the kids."

"That sounds like her."

"He said after he dropped Ed off, he got the kids down for a nap. The twins had fallen asleep before they even left the pub. I never thought those two would get along as well as they do."

"It's good that they do and that each of them is pretty protective of us."

"I'm glad Ed was with me during the accident."

"I'm glad Hank was there with incident with that guy that was harassing Olive. We arrested the brother as a team and we were both prepared to pay for it as a team."

Erin handed the phone back to Olivia.

"I miss you."

"I miss you too. How are you feeling?"

"Better but I ended up getting a Skycap to take me to the gate yesterday mainly because it was the farthest away from where we were and I didn't think I could make it."

"Good. Do overdo it."

"Yeah, I know. Everyone went to bed for you last night?"

"Yeah. I woke up with the 3 oldest in bed with me this morning but that's nothing new."

"Nope, it's not. I'll Skype later, so then Olive and I can both talk to the kids."

"Ok. I need to figure out what I am going to feed them anyway."

"Is Edward coming over for dinner?"

"I probably could have him over for dinner. I should let you go."

"Ok. I love you."

"I love you too."

Olivia hung up. Jay had dinner just about ready. They had their salads and then then he brought the spaghetti, sauce and bread out. They all enjoyed their dinner and once dinner had ended, they said goodbye to Erin and Jay and headed back to the hotel. Diana and Kara headed down to the pool for a while after she called Ed and Amanda called Sonny. Olivia and Olive Skyped with Hank, so they could talk to the kids before Hank put them to bed. Olivia was tired, so she decided to go to bed and Olive decided to text Trevor to find out how things were going. Once Diana and Kara came back to the suite, they went to bed and Amanda went to bed as well.

The next morning, they got up, got ready and went to have breakfast. Diana took Kara to see some of her friends and she drove to the cemetery, so Olive could put flowers at Justin and Camille's graves before the 5 of them headed to the airport for their trip back to New York.
