Karin & Hikaru's First Meeting & the Mysterious Boy ~First Impression~
Note: This is a story I've been wanting to write for a long time. I'll be following the storyline of the Manga because I like it better than the anime.

(Third-Person POV)
*A boy with maroon hair, peach skin, & red eyes wearing a blue button up pajama shirt & blue pajama pants was sleeping in his bed until his alarm clock went off*
(Hikaru's POV)
*As I wake up, my heart is going a mile a minute & I'm struggling to breath. Mornings like this can only mean one thing*
Hikaru:*in his mind* It's that time of the month again.
*Good morning. I'm Hikaru Maaka. A normal high school boy. As I left my room to go to the bathroom, Karin, my twin sister (younger by 5 minutes), came out of her room (which is next door to mine), wearing her plaid pajamas*
Karin: Good morning, Hikaru.
Hikaru: Good morning, Karin.
*We then went to the bathroom & brushed our teeth, washed our faces, & went back to our rooms to put on our school uniforms (look up "Hikaru Maaka" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt") (Karin's was a black dress with a white collar & white cuffs, a red tie, black socks & black & white shoes). We then went downstairs, packed our school bags, made our lunches & our breakfast. We then sat down at the table & ate. It's always just the two of us in the mornings, even though we come from a family of six. We then noticed a black garbage bag with a note on it that said . . .*
Karin and Hikaru
Take out the trash on your way to school.
Mom
*I picked up the bag & we both looked at it in disgust*
Karin: I don't even want to guess what's in there today.
Hikaru: Me neither.
*We then finished our breakfast, grabbed our lunches & school bags, & headed out the door*
Karin & Hikaru: We're going to school!
Hikaru:*in his mind* As if anyone's going to answer us.
*We closed the door behind us as we left our house (which is an old Victorian style house covered in vines)*
*Even though it's only once a month, this day is . . .
*Later, after homeroom, we were outside, sitting on the steps while our classmates were exercising in the school yard*
Karin: Why do we have to have P.E. today?
Hikaru: Beats me.
*Just then, our best friends, Maki Tokitou (a girl with green hair in a high ponytail, peach skin, & green eyes wearing a blue sweater over a blue & white t-shirt, blue shorts, white socks, & white sneakers) & Daikichi Azuma (a boy with brown spiky hair, peach skin, & brown eyes wearing a green sweater over a green & white t-shirt, green shorts, white socks, & white sneakers (look up "Daikichi Azuma" by "SwanGirl24" on "DeviantArt")), who we've known since elementary school, came up behind us*
Daikichi: What's wrong, guys? Feeling bad?
Karin: Hmm? Yeah.
Maki: You two always feel band around the same time each month. Ever since junior high.
Hikaru: Oh . . . Really?
Daikichi: Growing up sucks sometimes, doesn't it?
Maki:*to Karin* Want some ibuprofen?
Hikaru:*in his mind* What do we tell them?
*A few minutes later, our homeroom teacher, Ms. Shirai, came up to us with a new student next to her (a boy with dark cool blonde hair, warm beige skin, & black eyes wearing the same uniform as me)*
Ms. Shirai: Hey, Class 1-D! Come meet the new guy! He's a transfer student who's joining your class.
Kenta: I'm Kenta Usui. Nice to meet you.
*Karin & I weren't really paying attention. Suddenly, I felt a jolt go through me. My heart was pounding & my chest felt tight*
Hikaru:*in his mind* What's happening!? My . . . chest . . . I can't breathe . . . *everything started to go black* Oh no . . .
(Third-Person POV)
*Maki & Daikichi suddenly heard a loud thump*
Maki: Karin? Hikaru?
*They turned & saw Hikaru & Karin passed out on the steps*
Daikichi: Hey! Karin!? Hikaru!?
Female Student: Teacher, the Maaka twins are having trouble again!
Kenta:*in his mind* Are they . . .
(Hikaru's POV)
*When I woke up, I was in the Infirmary. Daikichi was sitting next to my bed, wearing his school uniform*
Daikichi: Good morning, Sunshine.
Hikaru: Daikichi . . . Where's Karin?
Daikichi: She's sleeping in the bed behind the curtain next to you. Geeze, if you guys are that sick, just stay home.
Hikaru: Sorry. *in his mind* What the heck was that? My chest started hurting out of nowhere. My instincts reacted to something.
*Just then, Maki, in her school uniform, opened the curtain next to me*
Maki: Well, thanks to you two, we got to ditch the rest of P.E!
*Without realizing it, I turned to Daikichi & started staring at his neck*
Hikaru:*in his mind* Oh . . . I guess the four of us are the only ones here.
*I noticed Karin was doing the same thing to Maki. Then, right at the same time, we both snapped out of it & ducked under our covers*
Daikichi: What's wrong?
Karin: It's nothing!
Hikaru: I'm sorry! But could you please leave us alone?
*They stared at us for a few seconds. Then they started tickling both of us & we both screamed*
Daikichi: What? Why?
Maki: You're taking a nap!? No fair!
Karin: NOOOOO!
Hikaru: Okay, okay! We'll come with you, just no more tickling!
(Third-Person POV)
*In classroom 1-D, Kenta's name was written on the blackboard*
Ms. Shirai: Your seat is . . . Hmm . . . *she pointed to one of two empty desks* Well, we'll bring you a new desk during break. You can sit here for now.
Kenta: Whose seat is this?
Ms. Shirai: Oh, that's Karin Maaka's.
Class Representative: She & her twin brother Hikaru are anemic. They won't be back for a bit, so don't worry.
Kenta: I see *he thought back to his first impression of them & sat down in Karin's seat**in his mind* I don't feel right about taking someone else's seat.
*Just then, we heard a scream. He looked up & saw Karin, Hikaru, Maki, Daikichi.
(Hikaru's POV)
*Karin looked terrified when she saw the transfer student sitting in her seat*
Hikaru: Karin . . . You okay?
*Suddenly, Karin grabbed her bag & ran towards the door*
Hikaru, Daikichi, & Maki: Karin!
Kenta: Karin . . .?
Karin: I'm going home early!
*She slammed the door behind her as she left the room*
Maki: Karin . . .?
*Just then, Kenta grabbed the Class Representative by his collar*
Kenta: Hey! Was I making a scary face or something!? That girl ran off as soon as she set her eyes me! Plus, she looked like she was going to throw up.
Class Representative: Your face isn't that scary, I guess . . .
*I then sat down at my desk. A few minutes later, I felt my phone buzzing. I saw it was a message from Karin*
Karin: I'm behind the gym.
*I looked out the window & saw the sun was still blaring. I sighed. She'll only help us once it gets dark*
Hikaru: Geeze, don't just run out like that. You really had me worried.
Karin: I'm sorry.
Hikaru: Anyway, have you messaged her yet.
Karin: I just did. She'll meet us at the park tonight.
Hikaru: Okay. I'll meet up with you after school. Just hold on until then.
Karin: Okay.
*I quickly put my phone back in my bag before the teacher spotted me. For the rest of the day, I kept sneaking glances at Kenta Usui while taking notes. The feeling in my chest was growing tighter & tighter *
Hikaru:*in his mind* What the heck is going on? We had been getting away with a peaceful life. Why is this happening now?
Teacher:*off-screen* The campus is about to close. Any remaining students are to head home. The doors are locking.
*As soon as school I heard that announcement, I grabbed the homework our teachers asked me to give Karin & rushed to the back of the gym. I found her sitting on the ground, her face flushed. Mine was starting to get a little flushed too*
Hikaru: Hey, you okay?
Karin: Yeah. *we both looked up at the sky* The sun is finally setting.
Hikaru: Now's our chance. We better sneak out the back.
*Karin nodded & we ran . Little did we know that someone was going the same way we were*
(Third-Person POV)
*Just as the twins were leaving the school, they didn't notice Kenta Usui coming down the street*
Kenta:*in his mind* That's Karin and Hikaru Maaka, isn't it? What the hell? I thought Karin was sick. Was she ditching? Was Hikaru covering for her? They don't look like delinquents. Well, this is the way to my place too. This feels weird. Like I'm stalking them.
(Hikaru's POV)
*By the time we got to the park, the sun had completely set*
Hikaru: There shouldn't be too many people here. We better split up to cover more ground.
Karin: Okay. We'll meet up later.
*Karin went one way, I went another. I walked for a few minutes, until I suddenly felt a jolt. My heart was pounding & my chest felt tight again. This has been happening lot today, but I don't know why. Anyway, I looked around & saw a girl with braids & trifocal glasses wearing a sailer uniform & holding a brown school bag. She looked like she had been crying. I slowly walked up to her, hoping to sneak up on her without her noticing. I was just inches away from touching her shoulder, when a twig cracked under my shoe startling us both. I quickly straightened up when she turned to face me. She blushed when she looked at me*
(Third-Person POV)
Glasses Girl:*in her mind* Wow . . . He's so cool.
(Hikaru's POV)
Hikaru: Uh . . . Sorry for startling you like that. Not that it's any of my business, but I saw you crying & was wondering what was wrong. *she looked like she was going to cry again* If you don't want to talk about it, that okay. *before I knew it, she was telling me her sad story. turns out she had confessed her feelings to a guy at her school that she had a crush on him, but he rejected her. he also told her that she should take a long look at herself in a mirror**in his mind* What a jerk.
Glasses Girl: I'm sorry. I'm probably boring you with this. *she started crying again. my chest started to get tighter & I was gasping for air. I clutched my chest in pain* A - Are you okay?
*I didn't answer her. Instead, I wrapped my arms around her. She squeaked & her whole face turned red*
Hikaru: I . . . I'm sorry. But I can't . . . Hold back anymore!
*I opened my mouth, revealing my long canines. She screamed as I bit her neck. As soon as I was finished with her, she fainted. I gently set her down on a nearby bench. Just then a little girl with gray hair, pale skin, & yellow eyes wearing a black Lolita dress & holding a doll with light blue hair wearing black overalls over a yellow & red striped t-shirt & holding a kitchen knife in it's left hand dropped down from the trees behind me. I turned to her & she sent a bat towards the girl*
Anju: Go.
*The bat touched the girl's forehead & we hid in the bushes. The girl woke up & looked around*
Glasses Girl: Huh? What just happened? *she took out her phone & gasped* Oh no! I've got to get home!
*She ran off with the bat following her. I sighed in relief*
Hikaru: Glad that's over. Let's go check on Karin.
*Anju nodded. We soon found Karin biting into the neck of a man in a business suit. He fell to the ground when she was done with him. Anju then sent another bat towards the man*
Anju: Go.
*The bat touched the man's forehead & he soon woke up. He look around, confused*
Ichihara: Oh . . . What the heck am I doing here? *he looked at his watch* Whoa! Look at the time! I've got to get back to work!
*He ran off with the bat following him. Anju then turned to look at me & Karin*
Boogie: Kaaaarin! Hikkkkaru! You silly kids! Can't you even clean up after yourselves. What an embarrassment!
*I felt a tick mark growing on my forehead. I really hate that doll*
Karin: Oh! Anju, you're do mean! We're your big brother and sister! Stop using ventriloquism to make fun of us!
Anju: It's not me. Boogie-kun is talking on his own . . .
Boogie: Neither of you would ever have a normal life if not for Anju always managing to save to swoop in to save your sad dumb butts! You can't even erase a human's memory! Pathetic!
*I wanted to retort something to Boogie, but then I realized he was right*
Hikaru: Thanks for always helping us.
Boogie: As long as you understand.
*Anju's bats soon came back*
Anju: Your victims made it back home & to his office. Or so say the bats.
Karin: Good.
Hikaru: Glad to hear it.
*Karin & I then grabbed our bags & all four of us (counting Boogie) headed for home*
Karin: Aah . . . I feel much better.
Hikaru: Let's get home. Mom should be waking up soon.
