Lyla was waiting in the meeting room. She knew that Mr. Yamazaki was on his way down the hall. He would be there any minute.

She was standing in attention by the door.

Yep. Any minute now.

She continued to wait.

And wait.

Maybe if she took a peek outside the door.

Only just then the door started to open.

Lyla rushed to straighten herself the best that she could. She was aware that she had a stain on her shirt but she had hoped that having her shirt tucked in and the blazer would hide it the best that she could.

She bowed when the person came walking through.

Hawks watched as the woman bowed in front of him.

"Heh, This is a good view of you."

Lyla stood up straight swiftly. "What are you doing here?" She screeched.

A clearing of the throat followed shortly behind. And in entered Mr. Yamazaki.

Lyla bowed again.

"Enough. You will not be talking to our guest this way." The man spoke at Lyla.

Hawk clearly could see that he was fucking up the womans chances.

"Aye, It's all good Mr. Yamazaki." He pulled Lyla into his side, "Lyla's been working for me until just recently."

Both Mr. Yamazaki and Lyla both looked up at Hawks like he had just grown another head. They were both aware that that wasn't true.

"She's been front and center of my meal prep for months now."

Andrew walks out from the hall, "Do you mean that she's been the cashier at the KFC before this said internship?"

Lyla blushed under Hawks arm.

"An establishment is only as good as their customer service. That's why I came here, Mr. Yamazaki. I knew that if you had Lyla as an intern that that would mean that you only had the best of the best customer service."

Hawks diligently delivered his words to butter up Mr. Yamazaki. Who took the bait due to his smile.

"Of course. The internship program goes through a great deal of effort. And I have seen first hand Lyla work with even the toughest of situations." The older man smiled in Lyla's way.

It almost felt like he was proud of her.

The meeting started off smoothly. Lyla's job was mostly to just sit there, watch, and run any errands if needed.

She thought about the words the Hawks had said. Did this guy really come to this company because he knew she worked there? How would he have known? She groaned as she thought about him snooping through her phone.

Hawks was listening to the CEO speak about his ideas and plans involving the new build. But his face was watching Lyla show an array of emotions cross them. He then absentmindedly looked around the room they were in.

"I want the open feeling that this room gives off. I want it all throughout the building." He interrupted the man, "This room gives off feelings of loyalty, open-mindedness but also-" He stopped to get a feel for the missing word.

"Freedom." Lyla spoke up.

Hawks snapped his fingers, "Yes!"

"The sway of this room is supposed to emulate the feelings that one would get in an open area. Or if they were in the sky. To keep the customer both grounded and open to suggestion."

The sharp eyes of the bird man turned to her. So far their relations have been only grounding and suggestions.

Mr. Yamazaki watched as the intern and pro-hero bounced ideas off of each other. Clearing they had a work chemistry.

He checked his watch and saw that the meeting was hitting time.

"Ms. Lyla will be one of my assistants on this particular project." He spoke and turned to Andrew, "Be sure that you inform the intern instructors that she'll be facing all of her intern qualifications in Project Sky. That you and I will be the ones to write off on her hours and objectives."

Everyone watched as Mr. Yamazaki stood to take his leave.

Hawks watched as Lyla's face lit up. He felt the smug pull on his lips. When Mr. Yamazaki left the room with Andrews following him, Hawks turned quickly to Lyla.

"You owe me." His smirk grew wider.

A smirk smile that Lyla had to admit was attractive. "Yeah. Yeah. I guess maybe I could get you a drink."

They started to make their own way out of the room, "I like the sound of that. I remember that it went really well the last time we had a drink together." Hawks arched a brow at her.

Lyla couldn't help that she eyed Hawks from top to bottom and then back up again.

"Yeah, Well, I couldn't resist the cool glass of water." She commented.

—--

Lyla was breathing heavily and took the moment to wipe the sweat off of her forehead with the back of her hand.

She nearly forgets that there was someone under her till she hears the chuckle to which she throws a glare at him.

"Sorry." He holds his hands up in surrender, "I was just thinking that you look good glazed. Like the icing on a pastry."

She smacks his chest and immediately regrets it as her hand feels the glistening sweat on it.

"Gross." She smiles as she gets off of him and tries to lay on her bed, "Scoot over. You bed hog."

Keigo adjusts his wings and body so that the girl has space. They both lay there for a moment getting their breath.

He takes a moment to look around the small room. There was about a 2 - 3 foot space on the sides of the bed and maybe 5 feet from the foot of the bed to the door.

If it wasn't for the large window that brought in the city lights it would probably feel way smaller in the space.

He makes his way out of the bed and starts to look at the books, pictures, and personality that showed.

Lyla doesn't think much about the fact that her one night stand was being nosy. It would have actually surprised her more if Keigo just up and left. Of course lingering and snooping was his style. Before she knows it he'd probably be asking for food in her fridge.

"You were in a cheese sculpting competition?" Keigo chuckles and shows her the picture of her with first place. He thought it was a bit strange. But that's also what made it so interesting.

He notices her blush but ends up laughing anyway. "That picture was taken before they disqualified me."

"Why? Looks like a great sculpture to me."

"They couldn't prove if I cheated and used my quirk or not."

She knew it was coming. "What's your quirk?" He asks. And there it was.

"It's stupid."

Hawks sits down and notices that she was sitting cross legged with the sheets up over her chest. Better than his bare body but she hadn't commented on it. Yet.

He gives her a reassuring look, "I have two rules. No kink shaming and no quirk shaming."

Regardless of if he was trying to reassure her, she still blushed. She'd almost rather share her kinks.

"I can turn matter into cheese."

It was silent for a moment and then he did it.

He laughed. Not a chuckle or a snicker but a full on bellowing laugh.

She throws the pillow that he catches, "Stop laughing. I told you it was stupid."

Keigo watches her pout and he hears her mutter, "I'd rather share my kinks."

"It's not stupid. Now I know on our next date I can just get you to provide me with extra cheese."

Lyla snorts at the thought. An old memory of an old friend pops into her head for a moment.

"You know. I had a friend that used to have me do that."

Hawks lays down on his stomach next to her on the bed. His arms propping him up to watch her as she talks. He was still naked but his wings covered up most of him.

She continues, "He would carry around post-it-notes and he thought it was awesome that he could save the 30 - 50 yen by getting a regular hamburger."

"Show me how it works." Keigo encouraged her. Lyla watched how the hero really did seem genuinely interested in her quirk. Normally only little kids were.

And there was the connection. She chuckled and leaned over to her side deck, ignoring that the sheets lowered exposing her chest, and got an easily replaceable pencil.

"Hope you like cheese sticks." She turns the pencil into a mozzarella stick the same shape and size as the pencil.

Keigo takes the cheese stick from her and tastes it, "Yep. Tastes pretty legit to me," He holds it out to her.

And now the really embarrassing part, "I actually can't have it." It was quiet for a moment, "I'm lactose intolerant."

He knew that laughing would be a mistake. "That-" He pauses to find the words, "That is really unfortunate,"

Lyla could see how hard it was for him and heavy sighs, "Go ahead."

She had barely finished before he was bursting out into a fit of laughter.

And as if his laugh was contagious she also started to laugh.

The laughing slowly turned to silence as they caught their breath.

"You're not really good at this whole one night stand thing." She got out of the bed and started to locate the different clothing.

Keigo watched her curves as she would bend to pick up the various items. He bit his lip thinking about how they bounced over his body just a few moments earlier.

"I mean, if you wanted me to top you you only had to ask. But I wouldn't say it wasn't good." He smirked as she threw his clothing at him.

She also had her lips turned up, "I was kinda referring to the leaving part."

"Awwe. Do you not like hanging out?" He whined.

Fully dressed she cocked an eyebrow at the man getting dressed.

"That would imply that this is more than a one night stand."

Keigo put on his yellow transparent glasses and walked to be in front of the girl. "How about we can be friends?" He grinned.

"Are you posing friends with benefits?" She rolled her eyes, "I have to work with you now."

"How else am I going to get free cheese sticks at work and dessert after hours?" He wiggled his eyebrows.

He enjoyed watching her huff at his antics. He expected her to flat out tell him no but instead she checked him out. A turn on knowing that she was doing so. And then she nodded.

"Okay. But only till the end of my internship. After that I need to focus on landing the job. You're only going to be a convenience right now. Later you won't be."

Hawks thought on it and it seems fair enough to him.

"Deal."
