Welcome one and all to yet another, late chapter of Dragon slayer, dragon core. It took forever to come out, I know. Life is a little bitch, screws you every day, especially when you try to write about 6 different places at the same time. Please read, review and enjoy. I'll say it again, thoughts on OFA and possible pairings are appreciated. Now back to where we were, a lot of split up students and chaos about to go down.
-With Natsu-
Heading to your proverbial death at record speeds had the students yelling as they fell, or whooping in some cases. After all when you see yourself hurtling at a power up the size of a city block you don't get all that scared. That was what it felt like for Natsu as he made himself as streamlined as he could diving in front of the others. He could head the wind rushing past his head and for some reason he thought he could hear the representation of the afterlife speaking to him as well that it was almost time. The pink haired once again boy wondered what it would be time for, but let it go for now. The dragon slayer started to inhale fire at an alarming rate and the flames around the went out first. Upon which Sero started shooting tape left, right and center in order to catch or slow down the others. Natsu had become so hot that the tape that got stuck onto him burned off immediately. Shrugging the boy decided to go for the classic superhero landing, even though he knew it could be hell on the knees. So he faced forward, maniacal grin on his face as his fists shot flames forward and he landed one knee on the ground.
Slowly lifting his head he found that nearly all fires had gone out, from his eating the flames and took in the faces of the villains he was faced with. ''I've got some good news for all of you. There's no need to wonder where your god is, because he is right here…..and he is fresh out of mercy.'' Natsu ended the sentence with a maniacal whisper that somehow was clearly audible. The villains cracked their knuckles and laughed. ''As if some kid could scare us. There are about 25 of us and only 5 of you!'' To which Mineta piped up scared out of his wits. ''Yeah Natsu he's right maybe we should give them Kendo and they'll let us go. I know I'd be having too much fun to bother with kids like us…'' A growl came from Natsu's mouth and a look promising pain was directed at Mineta. ''Consider yourself fuel, U.A. fuel, but fuel nonetheless. We are not giving up our comrades. I'll let the teachers deal with you before I break any promises I made.''
Natsu was not going to elaborate on the promises he made, for he had not just made them to Izuku, but also his old guild mates. Even the villains looked somewhat creeped out by the lecherous little cretin. ''Fuck it, let's fight already!'' With that both sides clashed, fists flying from Natsu, Koda and Kendo, tape from Sero and Mineta was hiding from the fighting. From the villain's side they had to keep it to fists as nearly all of them had either heat protection or flame manipulation quirks, which had been rendered useless by Natsu being there. With fists flying Natsu turned to the others. ''Say anyone else get the feeling that these guys are just a distraction, or just rabble? Why would they be here? Why are you here anyway if you thought All Might would be here?'' Even though Natsu was a lot smarter than he had been in his first time teenage years he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, especially when it didn't concern fighting. It was Kendo that came with the answer. ''They probably have a way to deal with All Might and I think that it's those three monsters with the hand guy.'' Natsu had only one reply to this. ''FUCK! We also still need to make sure everyone else is fine too…''
The five, or rather four as they completely started to ignore Mineta finished beating up the rabble they had been fighting and wrapped them all into one big taped prison, courtesy of Sero. Koda had asked the mice from just outside the fire zone for information. Hearing that they were closest to the landslide zone and mountain area they decided to split up. Koda and Sero heading to the landslide zone, while Natsu and Kendo took to the mountain zone. Neither set of students really had the best quirks to deal with either area, but they'd make do. After the discussion had been closed Natsu had been thinking on what he was going to do when he got to the mountain area, only to once again hear from the representation. ''So finally listening are we? I've been trying to get through to you ever since you started falling you absolute battle maniac. What I have been trying to tell you was that the time for you to be able to use your lightning separately has come. I know how you like your entrances, so I'll provide the words for the unlock and biggest attack this place has likely seen in a while when you get to the other group.'' The grin on Natsu's face was radiant, he couldn't wait to show this to Izuku, as he supposed that was who he was heading to. Even though he had no proof for that thought.
-With Izuku-
Falling and thinking was something Izuku wasn't the greatest at. True there were worse ones as it seemed their plan boiled down to screaming. The green haired kid looked at the others and was glad to see that he was right having seen Asui falling with him. The water down there would not be a problem for her. The others, being Komori, Bondo and Hagakure he thought about a bit harder. Hagakure, he guessed she would just get wet. Komori would he hardly able to spread her spores and Bondo could hardly glue water. Izuku himself was a fire and sunlight user. Sure he might be able to use water and absorb it as element, but that would be going to desperate measures, also with an emphasis on might. Izuku had no idea if he would be able to take more elements in, or if there were other restrictions.
That was the moment they hit the water and the air was almost knocked completely out of Izuku, he could see the others near him and tried to orient himself upright. Only to see a shark mouth villain charging straight at him, yelling something about it not being personal. As Izuku was lighting his fists on fire, the water around them turning to steam he got yanked to the side and back. To the teenager it felt almost like being used as an anchor point, while a green flash sped past him and landed on the villain, knocking it off course. Asui looked at Izuku and threw him up and out of the water, onto the boat he had spotted as they fell down. Followed shortly by the others and Asui hopping on board. ''Thank you Asui.'' Only to be followed by a quick ''Call me Tsuyu, or Tsu, kero''. Which Izuku couldn't help but be okay with as he himself had gotten used to being called by his first name, even thought he found the small addition to the sentence rather cute.
Discussing what was going on and why the villains were there they only came to the conclusion that they would have a way to kill All Might and Izuku was silently betting his money on the big ones in the square. As they were discussing this and their quirks the villains grew impatient and bisected the boat. Acting fast Tsuyu took Komori in one arm and one hand of Bondo. Izuku took Hagakure on his back and Bondo's other arm, this way he could still use his quirk by spraying it from the holes in his face. As Bondo can control the speed with which his glue dries that would work for subduing the villains they were faced with. Asui and Izuku pushed off from the rapidly sinking boat, Tsuyu using her powerful legs and Izuku giving them a boost with his fire, using it almost like thrusters. Hagakure quickly warming up against Izuku's back, getting slightly drowsy from the warmth he was providing. When they were flying over the villains that were now giving chase Bondo let loose and got them stuck in a super dried and super hard glue that wouldn't come undone quickly from the water it was placed on. One step closer to reuniting with the rest of the class, but they weren't out of the woods yet.
-With Bakugo-
The explosive kid was having the time of his life, getting to explode the villains that were coming at him en masse. Sure he made sure to hold back enough, or so he hoped to not get terribly in trouble, but the explosive blonde didn't really care. They had ploughed through the ones waiting for them easily enough and were discussing what to do and how to get even for being scattered. That and how the villains were planning to kill All Might having come to the same conclusions as both earlier groups. Knocking out a chameleon based villain by letting an explosion go off onto the villain's face he marched off, eager to get his revenge. The misty bastard would regret the day he laid his glowy yellow slits on King explosion murder.
-With Shoto-
The villains weren't exactly a problem for the group that the duo element student had landed with. He had taken the lead in a v formation and basically motioned them to attack him. ''I mean come and get us, we're just students after all, afraid?'' The villains being dumb enough to charge en masse had done just that, only to pay the price and end up as popsicles. Popsicles that were currently being interrogated for information on how they planned to kill all might. The threat of being frozen solid, followed by used as target practice for Yanagi's telekinesis, Shishida's transformation, Ojiro's sparring dummy and for Setsuna to see if their limbs would reattach like hers would, proved enough for them to spill what they knew even if it wasn't much. After getting the information the group went towards the central square, to see if they would be able to provide some sort of backup for their teachers, or at least make sure they weren't attacked in the back.
-With Tokoyami-
As the bird headed team took in the students he had ended up with he told them about his quirk and asked them to keep quiet about the light and darkness influence on Darkshadow. Getting a quick agreement from the others. He was together with Kodai, Kaibara, Awase and Shoda. The thugs came walking up to them, already far too confident. ''We came here to have fun killing heroes and All Might, not school children. Now why don't you entertain us, while you are locked in here until death?'' Only for the resident gothic bird to walk up and looking to the others and mostly Kuroiro, to keep their haphazard plan of him taking over the darkness that is Darkshadow if it got out of control in mind. ''You see you damned souls, we are not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me. DARKSHADOW, FEAST!'' One might say that the solution was a bit brutal. With the amount of punctured lungs, legs showing bone from open fractures and a few villains more or less clinging to life. In all fairness they were coming at the students with the intent to kill. In the end Kuroiro took over Darkshadow, the moment that the dark sentient quirk was trying and starting to succeed on ripping a villain in half. So far it had only gotten a snapped spine and would likely be paralyzed from the waist down. Still more or less possessing Darkshadow the teen punched open the doors that led to the main square, with Kodai blocking the entrance behind them with an enlarged piece of rubble.
-With Yoayorozu-
Things were both looking good and not so great at the same time. They had taken out the majority of all the villains that had tried to kill them, or block them from going back to the main square, but they were starting to run dry on resources. Those resources being her own lipids and Kaminari had blasted all the villains with a shock, but had become incredibly stupid right after. Tsunotori could only keep them so occupied by blasting horns through limbs. They had gotten progressively more aggressive as the villains just wouldn't stay down. The lucky thing was that Shiozaki had the opposing electric quirk user tied up in her vines. Fighting back to back, even though the beats coming from Jiro regularly burst ear drums, scrambled thoughts and did worse to heartbeats were a lot it wasn't enough. Things were looking bad. Not all of them were unharmed either, not that wounded, but definitely not unharmed. That was when they heard the crackling of electricity and Shiozaki moved to ground everyone with her vines as Momo probably wouldn't be able to make another insulation sheet. Pink hair coming up the mountain and words falling from his lips, spoken ominously, not loudly, yet still clearly audible.
"I who stand in the full light of the heavens command thee who opens the gates of hell.'' Four circles appeared in the four major directions of the villains on the ground and at about three meters high. ''Come forth, divine lightning. This ends now.'' Lightbeams crackling with electricity shot up from the lower circles, through the upper and converged at the center. ''INDIGNATION!'' With that final word, which got roared in much the same way the word meant lightning came crashing down in the entire area spanned by the villains, leaving them once again shocked, burned and completely out of commission, except for the electricity villain, who got a flaming axe kick to the back of his head. Knocking the villain out, with a broken nose, skull fracture and possible brain damage. Only for Natsu to give the villain a disgusted look and go on to check on his year mates. ''I might have overdone it a little? What, is there something on my face?'' The pink haired teen asked the others as they had been looking at him somewhat slack jawed, with Shiozaki's hands folded as if in prayer. Rubbing the back of his head Natsu asked the others if they should head to the central plaza and meet up with the others, only for yet more explosions to ring out, from the aforementioned area. Natsu turned around and could barely make out what had happened and even then he wasn't sure. ''Izuku!'' Not awaiting response from the others he kicked the jammer once more in the ribs and rushed towards the central plaza, using his newly unlocked full lightning dragon slayer magic.
-Meanwhile central plaza-
Vlad king and Eraserhead were to put it simply getting crushed. The things that they had by now learned were called Nomus were beating them to a pulp. Vlad had run out of stored blood and Aizawa's eyes were getting drier by the second he used his quirk. Having already found out that the black monstrosity did not respond to getting punched, kicked or restrained except by taking the opposing force head on. Arms had been crushed, legs had been injured and weapons had been yanked, thrown and destroyed. Vlad was being held down by the red and blue Nomu, The red one seemed to leave darts from the knuckles that leaked a poison that caused muscles to cramp up, while the blue one's darts messed with your head. They had thought that they might have resembled something of fire and water, but now they weren't sure anymore. Except the weird connection to poison dart frogs. They were fast, very fast, but seemed to have taken at least some damage from the combined teacher attacks.
While Kan was held down by the two smaller ones Aizawa was being held face down into the ground by the big black one. ''You know Eraserhead you are so cool and yet you forget that you shouldn't just jump in to save your acceptable losses. I do…'' The man-child's rant was broken up by the purple mist villain showing up. ''Shigaraki Tomura, Thirteen is out of the picture, but one of the students managed to escape and is likely warning the rest of the teachers as we speak. I believe it would be wise to retreat.'' The look of sheer fury on Shigaraki's face as he turned towards the mist man was reminiscent of a child pulling a temper tantrum. Grabbing the suit of the other villain it corroded, much like Aizawa's elbow and Vlad king's knee. Which had happened when the two men had tried to launch a surprise attack on him. ''if you weren't our warp gate I'd erase you from existence for your incompetence, you piece of shit.'' Laying his eyes on the now closer group of Izuku, that had been spying on the teachers and seeing if they could get an attack in.
''Alright, we should go, we can't take the entire enemy army, including heroic units. What we can do is let them know they failed, spectacularly I might add.'' With that Shigaraki sprinted at the group and stretched out both hands to the faces of Asui and Komori. Izuku saw all this happening and was already moving and yelling as his flaming fist was on its way to Shigaraki. Only to be interrupted by the big black Nomu. ''That won't work as he absorbs all shocks, good try though. Now where were we.'' With that Izuku changed direction and launched himself at his two year mates, pushing them out the way, but having Shigaraki's hands brush by him. His suit taking the brunt of the damage, but still having a brush of corrosion on his left side before Aizawa cancelled it. The teacher had been waiting and biding his time to save the girls, but had been surprised as well by Izuku launching himself between them. He still managed to prevent most damage, but not all, earning Aizawa another slam into the floor and being knocked out.
No longer having a top part to his suit Izuku turned around looking royally pissed. ''How dare you, just trying to end their lives and for fuck's sake can I end up not shirtless for once. I've really fucking had it. You won't threaten my friends or year mates any more ROAR OF THE HOLY SUNFIRE DRAGON!'' A lot can be said about Izuku, about him having been effectively quirkless for a long time, being timid a lot and shy around people. A lot more things could have been said before Natsu arrived in his life. A lot more tragic things too, but now he unleashed it all. All of who he was into that one roar. Shigaraki got saved by having a portal appearing beneath him. The nomu wasn't so lucky, he took the brunt of the attack, that finally ended in an explosion as the beam hit the floor, which got superheated and expanded. Finally when he had no more air in his lungs Izuku cut off the attack and looked at the monster that had been responsible for nearly killing both of the homeroom teachers and would be killers of All Might. The nomu was missing half of himself, and fell over. It may have been shock absorbent, but having a literal blast of super concentrated light infused fire blasted into you did some heavy damage. Izuku nearly vomited when he saw what he had done and only kept from doing so when he turned his head to the two remaining nomu, that had knocked out (or so Izuku hoped) Vlad king and were now moving towards him.
Feeling already a bit worse for wear as he used all of the power that the combined form gave him onto the big black one Izuku took on a stance that Natsu taught him and grinned. ''Come and get me assholes.'' Moving his left hand in the typical come and get me motion, while motioning for the others to move with his right. Izuku hadn't gotten to do anything yet as the two now charging nomu were frozen solid from one side, only to explode in a blast of lightning and regular explosions from the other. Shortly after which Todoroki, Bakugo and Natsu came barging onto the battleground. ''FUCKING DEKU, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, PURPLE FUCK IS MINE.'' ''Izuku are you okay?''''So you think we will let you kill All Might?'' Were the three questions thrown into the plaza and Shigaraki was scratching his neck until it bled, blood running down his shirt.
Looking at the students he began to charge at them himself while he yelled. ''Nomu kill the green kid!'' Izuku didn't have the time to turn around, but the nomu that he had thought dead, burned to a crisp was right behind him, with his hands raised above his head in a would be hammer blow. Natsu charged forward in the form of lightning and barreled Izuku out of the attack, not unlike Izuku tackling the girls earlier. However Natsu took the hammer blow to the back and coughed up blood as he slid towards the edge of the battle field. Caught by an ice wall created by Todoroki, an ice trail left behind. Bakugo was holding Kurogiri to the floor and the two other nomus seemed to be getting up again, having slowly put themselves back together.
With Shoto still not using his fire he tried to wall up against Shigaraki, who was trying to get at either the bi elemental boy, or Bakugo. Izuku in the meantime still had his eyes fixed on Natsu, the once again young man, who was more than his best friend. He was his brother in all but blood. He lay there dying and all because he couldn't stop one monster, because he wasn't fast enough. It had been said before that Izuku was a lot of things and didn't always think the best of himself, which had brought him back to the moment that he had met the pink haired teen. Just as Izuku had been about to end it all Natsu had almost literally pulled him back from the ledge. Only the pulling was done by landing on top of him before even getting to the edge. The one that was responsible for most of the positive things in Izuku's life bleeding internally and coughing up blood. Izuku lost it…..
He charged in front of Natsu, making sure the fucked up teen was behind him and stuffed himself with the ice wall that had been created to catch Natsu, which had later curled around him. ''Uhg..Iz, Izuku..don't..you do do don't know what'll happen'' With that another wave of blood was coughed up and Natsu knew at least one of his lungs had been pierced. Izuku chomped down on yet another piece of eyes, scales started to show on his arms, his eyes going to slits, a pain flared in his back and wings sprouted. One either side of the markings on his back one grew. Both of the wings looks like a dragon's, along with the expected scales, one of the wings was covered in ice, the other was dripping fire. His eyes seemed to light from the inside and the other students who looked upon him took an involuntary step backwards. Only two more words came from Natsu's lips before he lost consciousness. ''Dragon force…''
Launching himself Izuku froze the big nomu to the ground and headed for Shoto and the two smaller ones along with Shigaraki. ''IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKSICKLE!'' He roughly shoved Shoto to one side, aligned himself with the two smaller nomus and Shigaraki in one line and unleashed his newfound strength. Reason having all but left him. The only thing on Izuku's mind at that moment vengeance for his fallen brother. ''RAGE OF THE SNOWFIRE DRAGONNNN!'' With that Izuku launched what seemed to be another stream of fire, but this stream was blue white. The flames came in contact with the two smaller nomu and they froze, yet burned at the same time. Bits burning while being frozen and not regenerating. While before the chunks reconnected the chunks that were blown off now, didn't reconnect as there was nothing left. The regeneration seemed like it was solely for the big black guy.
Shigaraki got hit on the leg and yelled that he was going to kill Izuku, only to lock eyes with the teen and feel a shiver up his spine. A similar shiver that he would feel when his mentor was displeased with him. As Izuku had been dealing with the red and blue nomu the black monster had freed himself and had charged at Izuku again, only this time from the back once more. Slamming his weight into the now winged teen he stood in front of Shigaraki. Izuku had felt his right arm break and probably a wing fracture too. That was all he had time for to come to terms with before colliding with a tree.
''Now that those two are dealt with, let's cause some death before All Might is here…'' Which was the moment the doors burst open and All Might appeared at the top of the stairs. His ever present smile absent and a scowl of pure rage adorning his face. He took in the destruction, the no longer moving bodies of both teachers and students. The terrified looks on the faces of most students, the concern of others and those in pain. ''IT'S FINE NOW, BECAUSE I AM HERE!'' Everywhere students were All Might could hear cheers for his arrival, making him with he hadn't been so stupid that morning and just been there when it all started.
As he jumped down the stairs All Might took the situation in. Both teachers down and out, looking battered, bruised and broken. Same went for Dragneel and Midoriya. Bakugo looked okay, and keeping his hand on some sort of collar of a villain with explosions coming at irregular intervals from the hand holding the villain down. Todoroki, looked like he was very cold, as if he had been overusing his ice, without thawing himself. Only at that moment he noticed the wings on Izuku and wondered what had happened. ''So it would seem you and your companions have taken out my colleagues and my students, for that there can be no mercy!'' Shigaraki started laughing maniacally, like some demented dream had finally come true. ''Now there is the man of the hour, the man my nomu was hand crafted to kill. Isn't he wonderful, he's as strong as you are All Might, but better.''
All might launched himself at Shigaraki to take him out, only to be waylaid by the black nomu. The smash that had been coming from All Might's fist absorbed by the monster. ''He had shock absorption, your punches won't do a thing. Nomu kill the one that is keeping our warp gate down.'' The nomu sprinted at Bakugo who was staring wide eyed at the death that was coming his way, only to be tossed aside and land near Todoroki and Kirishima, who had only just arrived along with the people Natsu had left in the mountain area. ''Wow, you dodged that, that is so manly!'' Bakugo shook his head. ''No I didn't you idiot, how would I do that, you saw that thing move, I was tossed out of the way.'' The dust cleared from the battlefield and they could see two gouges in the ground and All Might coughing blood, with his arms blocking in front of him, his shirt torn at places.
''I think we should get the teachers, Natsu and Izuku out of here…'' Came the reasonable voice of Yaoyorozu. Which was easily agreed on by the others present except for Bakugo and Todoroki. Taking some of the longer fallen branches Shiozaki connected them with a few vines, specifically ones without thorns. All Might charged the nomu and got stuck in a warp gate, grabbed by the nomu, claws into his old wound and held there as the gate started to close. ''Now that's how we cut the number 1 hero in half.'' A painful yell escaped All Might, as an angry yell left the two students who had been fighting already. Bakugo unleashed all he could at Kurogiri and Todoroki froze the black nomu, allowing All might to literally break its hold and not land in the closing portal. The creatures super regeneration already having it back on its feet as it only needed to reconnect its legs to its body. ''Good to know it's shock absorbtion, not nullification I'll just have to hit HARDER!'' With that blows were unleashed and finally it seemed the nomu was getting overpowered. ''NOW ONE FINAL BLOW TO GO BEYOND, PLUS ULTRAAAA!'' Which send the nomu flying through the roof of the USJ.
Shigaraki had gone from laughing to being beyond angry, he had come charging at Bakugo and was just about to lay his hands on them as he got shot in both knees, elbows, shoulders and would have gotten hit more if Kurogiri hadn't opened a gate to catch them. Only for the portal to take both villains away, back to their hide out ''You lied master, he is nothing weaker than he ever was and those hacks of students, I'll destroy them all.'' A silent moment. ''Tell me what happened, especially how our nomus were defeated'' All that was visible on the screen was a creepy smile on top of a three piece suit. All Might on the other hand was starting to feel the effects of him over extending the time he has and thought to himself 'I really need to find a successor and I need to do it fast, maybe after the sports festival I will ask them. In my prime it would have taken me 5 punches, not 150'
With the arrival of the rest of the teachers everyone was either quickly send to the busses or hospital, while the villains were handed over to the police. The police took a statement from everyone who was able and would ask for the ones in the hospital at a later date. All in all from the teachers, Thirteen, Vlad king and Eraser head ended up in the hospital. From the students, Izuku, Natsu, Kaminari and Awase. The latter two for quirk overload and a broken leg respectively, both of which quickly left after an distraught Inko arrived, looking for her children.
With that I am going to close it out for this time, the first 25% of this chapter was a struggle to write, I think I rewrote it about 12 times and still not that happy with it.
