(Hikaru's POV)
*Usui offered to carry Anju & we both put her on his back*
Hikaru:*in his mind* How did this happen? Usui found out what we really are. The same guy who makes our blood increase every time we get near him! And Anju, our own sister, planned all this. Why!? And she . . .
*We then saw that Karin's bag had been ransacked. She started to panic*
Kenta: Karin? Calm down. We'd better get her to your house.
*Karin & I put everything back in her bag*
Karin: Y - Yeah . . .
(Karin's POV)
Karin:*in her mind* My wallet and the lunch I made for Usui were stolen out of my bag. I'm totally freaking out right now!
Her head's about to explode. For real
(Hikaru's POV)
Kenta: Come on! Which way's your house?
Karin: Oh.
Hikaru:*in his mind* Now what? We can't let him know where we live!
Kenta: Oh, god, whatever. It's this way.
Karin: Huh?
Kenta: I know you both live on the west side. I tried to go to your house once.
*We all started to leave the park*
Hikaru: Why would you -
Kenta: You two missed two weeks of school last month, remember? So I . . . Was worried and . . .
Karin: Oh . . .
(Flashback)
Karin: Hikaru and I can't be around you! Stay away from us!
(Karin's POV)
Karin:*in her mind* I had forgotten about that.
(Hikaru's POV)
Hikaru:*in his mind* At the time, we didn't him know why our blood was reacting to Usui like that. We were just scared. Could it be, at the time, we were hurting Usui's feelings?
Kenta: The first thing I want to know is . . . What happens to the people you bite?
*Just then, a very angry Ren came out of the shadows & stepped up to us*
Ren: My sisters and my brother. Hand them over. Now. Young man.
*Suddenly, we were surrounded by his bats. The next thing we knew, Anju was in his arms*
Hikaru: Oh no. *in his mind* Ren . . . Is pissed!
Karin: Brother . . . Umm . . . This isn't . . . Umm . . .
Hikaru: Ren, please. Let us explain -
Ren: Quiet, you two. Now . . . *he reached his hand towards Usui* I don't enjoy putting my hands on dudes, but . . . I wil, have me reach in and clean out your mind. I can't guarantee that there will be anything left once I erase your memory. That's unfortunate and unavoidable.
Karin & Hikaru: NO!
*Suddenly, Anju woke up & grabbed Ren's hand*
Anju: Don't . . . Brother Ren . . . Let him go . . . I'll explain later . . .
Ren: Explain!? *she then gave him sad puppy eyes. Ren just clicked his tongue & turned around* All right.
*He left. Karin & I went after him*
Karin: Usui, we're sorry!
Hikaru: See you later.
(Third-Person POV)
*Kenta heart pounded as he watched them leave*
Kent:*in his mind* I just . . . Want . . .I know what happens when vampires like Karin and Hikaru bite a human!
(Hikaru's POV)
*Our family gathered in the dining room to discuss what happened*
Calera: Are you feeling better. Anju?
Anju: . . . Yes.
Calera: Well then, how about you explain yourself, Anju?
Anju: The truth is, I have been watching Kenta Usui with my bats ever since he first saw Karin and Hikaru get a nosebleed.
Karin & Hikaru: What!?
Anju: I've been watching in constant. Especially during these last few days. To do that, I have to concentrate, even when I'm asleep. So I'm totally worn out.
Karin: That's why you were unconscious!?
Calera: You haven't awakened as a vampire yet, so you need to be more careful.
Anju: I had to do it. That boy had pretty much already figured out that Karin and Hikaru are vampires. But they told him to keep things a secret and he didn't tell. Not even his Mother. Not only that, he helped to clean up all the blood. And since Karin and Hikaru's blood reacts to Kenta Usui, they cannot stay away from him. It would be better to bring him over to our side. So we need him to know the truth. *Mom, Dad, & Ren started to look uncomfortable* And if Karin and Hikaru continue to have their blood attacks in the middle of the day, it would be nice to have someone else around to save their butts.
Karin & Hikaru: What!?
Calera, Henry, & Ren: Good point.
Karin & Hikaru: Hey!
Anju: We should have him help them during the daytime.
Karin: B - B - But! It's because of Usui that our blood is increasing so much!
Calera, Henry, & Ren: Then just bite him.
Calera: He might make a good partner.
Hikaru: Anju does have a point, Karin.
Karin: Hikaru! Not you too!
Hikaru: Think about it. Anju can't always be there to clean up our messes. Having Usui there to help us would make things easier. Plus, like they said, we can always just bit him if our blood increasing gets to be too much.
*Ren ruffled my hair*
Ren: Glad to hear one of you is making sense for once.
*Karin held her head like she was in pain*
Anju: Yes. And rather than snooping around behind your backs, posses him in order to keep an eye on him. Plus, he's . . .
*Karin's face turned red. She then ran out of the room. We could hear crashing & & her bumping into things on the way*
Calera: Oh, I see . . .
Henry: Wish we knew that earlier. You're right, she and Hikaru won't be able to avoid him.
Anju:*to Ren* Sorry for not keeping my promise. I knew if I told you, you would have stopped me.
Hikaru: What promise?
Anju: I made a promise to Ren that is Kenta Usui ever found out about you two, that I'd erase his memories.
Hikaru: Oh.
Anju: For now, I figure it will be okay to trust him. But if he betrays them, I will take full responsibility and erase his . . .
*She fell asleep in her chair*
Calera: Oh . . .
*I picked her up in a Princess carry*
Hikaru: I'll put her to bed.
Henry: Thank you, Hikaru.
*I left the room with her in my arms*
