I can't wait to do the next few chapters! I hope you guys enjoy them! I do not own Pokémon or the characters. This will be my second longest chapter. The longest one I plan on being the confession.

The next morning, Ash stretches and lets out a soft yawn. He looks over at Pikachu and gently rubs his ears and Pikachu lets out a happy "chaaa" as Ash chuckles softly. He then gets off his bed and heads to the kitchen. He passes by Bianca's room and sees Latias. He remembers Brock telling him to show care and he smiles. He gently was going to make breakfast for everyone.
Ash heads to the kitchen and looks to see what he could make. He smiles as he gets a few things and starts making breakfast.
Latias lets out a cute yawn as she stretches and gets off her bed. She smells a delicious aroma coming from the kitchen and feels saliva forming as she blushes.
'Something smells really good.' She thinks as she she sees Bianca was already awake.
"Morning Latias." The young woman says as she stretches.
"Good morning Bianca. Do you smell that? It smells delicious!" She says as she was slightly drooling to which Bianca giggles and Latias blushes.
"Yeah I do. Though I don't think grandpa is awake yet. So it must be Brock who is cooking." She says as she gets off her bed. Latias heads to the door and heads towards the kitchen. As the dragoness comes closer to the dining room she sees Brock, Lorenzo, and Misty already awake and they were staring into the kitchen with looks of pure shock. Latias moves closer and gets confused.
"Brock, if you are here then who is cooking?" She asks as Brock takes a few minutes to answer.
"Ash is." Brock says as Latias looks shocked and looks inside. Ash was cooking a lot of food, with a variety and even had cut fresh fruits. He looks at her and smiles warmly, making her heart beat faster and she shyly blushes.
"Hey guys! I'm almost done with breakfast. If you guys don't mind, could you wait in your rooms? I had something I wanted to do." Ash says as the others head towards their rooms. But as Latias heads towards hers, Ash softly talks to her.
"Latias, can you come here?" The young trainer says in a soft tone. Latias moves to Ash and the young trainer hugs the young dragoness. Latias was blushing and thankful she was in her normal form. She gently hugs him back as he rubs her back.
"Thank you for being my friend, Latias. I really care about you and I'm glad that I get to be your friend. I hope you enjoy breakfast." Ash says as he moves away and returns to cooking. Latias was unsure what to feel, as the warmth and love he said he cared was very strong.
'He probably just meant it as best friends.' She thinks to herself as she heads to her room to wait. As she returns she sees Bianca looking at her curiously.
"You're back, Tia? Who was cooking?" Bianca asks as Latias turns to her human form and sits on her bed.
"Ash was cooking. Everyone was in shock because he was making breakfast. It smelled so good too." Latias says as she blushes when she thought of how warm and loving she felt when Ash had hugged her.
"Ash was cooking? Wow, that is a shock." Bianca says.
"So why are you back in my room?"
"Ash told everyone to wait in our rooms until he finished. He said he had to do something." Latias says as she smiles.
"Did something else happen Latias?" Bianca asks as she giggles as Latias turns red in her face.
"N-no!" She squeaks as Bianca giggles. Latias didn't want her friend to tease her more. Bianca was about to say something when Ash knocks on the door.
"Hey girls, I just wanted to say breakfast is ready." Ash says as he heads back to the table. Bianca gets off her bed and stretches a bit before she heads to the dining room. Latias was still thinking about what Ash said when Bianca comes back with a mischievous smile.
"Oh Latias~ I think you should come to breakfast~. Ash really did do something for you~." The young artist giggles as she heads to the table. Latias blushes slightly and gets off her bed. As she leaves the room and heads to the table she thinks about what Ash could have done.
'It must be something for Bianca to tease me. I just hope it's not something that she'll want to tease me more.' She thinks as she sees the others sitting at the table and Ash was waiting near her chair rubbing his arm embarrassed.
"What's going on?" Latias asks confused as Ash pulls out her chair for her. She blushes completely red and tries not to squeak. The others were watching everything: Brock with a proud smile, Misty with a look of slight jealous but understanding, Bianca with excited glee, and Lorenzo with interest.
"I uh..was waiting for you." The young trainer says soft tone as Latias sits in the chair. Ash gently moves her to the table and sits in his own chair. Latias was looking at the raven haired trainer with sheer adoration and love. She was starting to think maybe he DID feel the same way to her.
When Latias hears soft giggling she looks at Bianca curiously.
"What's so funny, Bianca?" She asks the young woman.
"You should probably start eating, Latias." Bianca says giggles as she eats some sausages. Latias frowns and looks at her food only to stare in shock at it. The young dragoness turns fully red as Bianca giggles even louder. Ash turns a bit red as he rubs his neck sheepishly. Latias sees pancakes shaped like Latias and covered with berry butter to make the pancakes slightly red, with sausages making a heart, and fruit spelling 'Lily' on her plate.
Latias very shyly looks at Ash, who was smiling at her in a bashful way. He was red as well and he was looking at her in a way that showed her that he really cared for her.
"Thank you, Ash. T-this really is sweet." She says in a happy yet soft tone, talking privately to him as she starts eating.
'I'm starting to think Ash may not be as dense as I thought. I think..he may already have found someone.' Misty thinks sadly as she softly sighs and stands.
"Sorry guys, I don't think I'm hungry anymore." The red head says in a quiet tone and heads outside for some privacy. Ash looks at Misty with concern as she leaves, and moves to follow her when Bianca stops him.
"Give her some time Ash. I think I know what's wrong. Let me talk to her, alright?" Bianca says and Ash nods. Pikachu looks at Latias then Ash as he hops on Ash's shoulder.
"Pika pika pi?" Pikachu asks in a quiet tone and Ash nods.
"Yeah buddy, I like Latias. I just realized that I felt different with her and I asked Brock what the feeling was."
"Pika, Pikachu?~" The yellow mouse says in a teasing tone and Ash goes bright red.
"What did Pikachu say Ash?" Lorenzo asks as Ash focuses on eating to hide his embarrassment.
"N-nothing! H-how is everyone's breakfast?" The young man says as Pikachu laughs.
"Pikachu, pi pika?" Pikachu asks in a mischievous tone. Ash looks confused while Latias looks like she wanted to turn invisible from sheer embarrassment.
"What is that, Pikachu?" Ash asks confused while Pikachu starts laughing even louder and Brock just chuckles, thinking he knows what Pikachu asked.
"S-s-so! I really love breakfast Ash! T-thank you for making it. But, when did you learn how to cook?" The extremely embarrassed dragoness asks, trying to change the subject. Meanwhile Ash was still looking confused and Pikachu was still laughing at Ash's expression. Brock just sighs and looks at Ash.
"Maybe when you're older, Ash." The Pokémon breeder says as Ash pouts for a bit, which Latias found to be extremely cute.
"Stupid Ash..stupid..feelings..ARGH!" Misty shouts as she cries a bit more and sits on a nearby bench. Bianca sees her and moves to sit by her as Misty doesn't seem to notice.
'I waited too long...Now Latias has his love..but the dense idiot can't see that I like him a lot!' She thinks as she wipes her face and feels a hand gently pat her leg. She looks at Bianca and sighs as she sniffles a few times.
"Hey, Bianca. Sorry you had to see me crying." Misty says as she looks at the young artist.
"Don't be sorry Misty. It's not a bad thing to cry. Can I ask what's wrong?" Bianca asks gently as she pats the young woman on the back.
"It's just..I've known Ash for so long. I care for the idiot so much. I waited so long for him to mature and realize that I loved him. That I cared a lot more for him than a friend does. But he was so dense for so long. Now..after he was gone for years..he still is dens but mature enough to know what love is. It hurts..after so long..to see him feeling love for another person..not to mention the fact that she's a Pokémon. I don't mind love between trainer and Pokémon..but not everyone is as understanding." Here Misty sighs and starts crying a little more. Bianca takes Misty's hand and squeezes it gently. After a few minutes, Misty sniffles and smiles weakly at Bianca.
"Thanks Bianca..it just..hurts." Misty says as she wipes her face. Bianca nods and squeezes her hand gently.
"I know it does. But you should still tell Ash how you feel. I think we both know he loves Latias. But it will allow you to move on to know. You're his best friend Misty. I know it is difficult, but being his best friend is a good thing too you know. Ash is the kindest guy I've ever met. He cares for his friends and wants to make everyone happy. There aren't many people who would do that for their friends. Just because you may not be together romantically, doesn't mean you can't be best friends. He may need you for helping him understand how to show his love. I think he deserves someone to make him happy too, don't you?" Bianca says as she stands and smiles at Misty. The young woman sighs but smiles as she stands as well and hugs Bianca.
"Yes, the idiot deserves happiness. Doesn't change the fact that if he does something stupid or hurts Latias, I'm going to hit him hard. He can be so dense at times." Misty says as she giggles. Bianca giggles as well.
"I would as well. I was going to talk to his mom to get him to come here had he not come himself." Bianca says as both girls giggle.
"We should head back. You shouldn't let your food get cold. It really is good." Bianca says and the two girls head back.
"Hey guys, we're back." Bianca says as Ash stands and looks at Misty.
"Misty, is everything okay?" The young man asks as Misty smiles weakly.
"Yes Ash. Everything is fine." Misty says as the two girls sit at the table. Ash sighs with relief and sits at the table as well.
"So Ash, I'm sure everyone wants to know when you learned how to cook so well." Brock says as he finishes eating. Ash looks proud and smiles as he gets more food and sits at the table.
"Well, after a bunch of bad cooking, I finally decided I needed help." Ash said in a sheepish tone. Pikachu agrees and everyone just chuckles.
"I asked my mom if she could teach me how to cook. It took a while but I learned how to cook good food. I learned how to cook some Pokémon food too, though it's not as good as Brocks." Ash says as he eats. Brock looks impressed at the young trainer.
"Well, your mom did a good job at helping you cook. This was a good breakfast." Brock says as the others finish eating.
"It really was Ash. Thank you for a great breakfast." Latias says softly as she smiles at him. Ash seems happier when he hears how much Latias enjoyed the meal. The others say how good it was and then Ash stands.
"Let me wash the dishes guys." Ash says as he takes everyone's dishes and puts them in the kitchen. Latias follows him and she helps him clean the dishes. He smiles happily at her and the two talk about some things.
Misty sighs softly and moves to sit on the couch. Brock sits next to her. Bianca is talking to her grandpa and Pikachu was watching Ash and Latias.
"Hey Misty. Are you alright?" The Pokémon breeder asks. Misty sighs again and looks at Brock.
"I am. I just wish that Ash would have felt love for me, like he does for Latias."
"I know. I noticed it too. He came to me asking what love was. I told him to show as much care to the person he loves as he can. I was shocked that he felt that way. I didn't think he would feel love right now. But Ash has changed a lot. He doesn't sleep late, he knows how to cook real well, he asks for help when he needs it, he thinks before he does things, and he really trained his Pokémon well. He still cares for his family and friends and wants to make them happy." Brock says as Misty giggles.
"Though he can still be dense sometimes." She says giggling and Brock chuckles.
"Well that's just Ash. But he cares for you Misty. You're his best friend just like me. He will always care for his friends." Brock says as Misty smiles.
"Well I'm pretty sure he is in love with Latias. But I can at least tell him how I feel so that I can move on." Misty says with a sigh and Brock smiles and pats her shoulder.
"It'll be okay Misty. You could probably help him show his love to Latias. We both know he will need all the help he can get." Brock says as the both laugh.
"Yeah I probably will. He knows how to be with girls. I'll take him to shop for some things today to help him." Misty says as Brock looks at her. The two talk about what they can do to help Ash
Ash and Latias were finished cleaning the dishes and talking to one another.
"So Latias..how soon are you going to be done with helping the Lati's?" Ash asks as he looks into her beautiful amber eyes. He could feel the his heart beat faster as he gently takes her hands in his own. He found he really enjoys holding her hands.
"I don't know. I should be back before dinner though. So maybe we can spend some time together..if you'd like." The disguised dragoness says as she gently squeezes Ash's hands. He smiles and nods.
"I'd like that a lot." Ash says softly as he hugs her tightly. She blushes and hugs him back gently. He moves away and smiles as he takes her hands in his and gently squeezes..
'She really looks cute when she blushes.' Ash thinks to himself as she smiles back shyly. After a few minutes Latias sighs and then moves away from him as she heads towards the door.
"I have to head to the garden now. I'll see you later." Latias says as she smiles weakly.
"I'll see you later, Latias." Ash says as he smiles at her. She smiles back and heads to the garden. Ash moves to Misty and sits near her, as Brock moves to talk to Bianca.
"Hey Misty."
"Hey Ash." Misty says as Ash sheepishly rubs his neck.
"I'm sorry for breakfast. I didn't mean to make you leave." Ash says as he looks at Misty. Misty just sighs and smiles as she looks at him.
"You idiot...you don't have to apologize. It wasn't what you did. It's just..something I was feeling." The red head says as she sighs and Ash gently takes her hand. The young woman blushes slightly and looks at him.
"Misty, I know that I haven't been the best of friends. I should have talked to you guys while I trained. But I was so focused on training. I'm sorry for that. You're my best friend. I care for you." Ash says as he gently hugs her.
"I understand Ash. Being a Pokémon master is important to you. Just don't forget to check in now and then." Misty says as she moves away and lightly punches his shoulder. He winces slightly as Misty's light punches still hurt.
"So, are you ready to go? I was thinking we could visit the park and get lunch." Ash says as he stands and offers his hand to Misty. The young red head very lightly blushes and takes his hand, standing as she stretches and smiles.
"Sure. But later on we are going shopping." Misty says and Ash slightly sweats, while Pikachu moves to jump on Ash's shoulder.
"Pikachu!" The yellow mouse says as he rubs his cheek against Ash's cheek. Ash laughs and scratches his ears lightly.
"Of course you can come with, Pikachu!" He says as he starts walking towards the door. He looks back at Bianca and Brock who were still talking.
"Hey guys, we are headed out now! I was thinking we could hang out tomorrow if you want!" Ash calls out as Misty heads out. Brock looks at Ash and smiles as he nods.
"That sounds fun Ash. Bianca was going to show me some good shops and some nice places to go. Who knows, maybe I'll find a girl." Brock says as Bianca sighs. Ash just chuckles and smiles as he looks at Brock.
"You know Brock, I think you can find someone if you try hard." Ash says as he heads out. Brock chuckles and Bianca heads to talk to her grandfather to let her know she was leaving.
There were very few people awake at this hour, and Ash, Misty, and Pikachu head towards the park in a comfortable peace. Misty looks at Ash and sighs. She had been trying to think when she should tell him how she felt. Pikachu runs ahead as he sees a young woman giving away samples of poke treats.
'I'll tell him now. I should get it over with.' She thinks as she watches Pikachu run off. Misty sees a nearby bench and moves to sit down. Ash looks at her with a confused look before he moves to sit next to her.
"What's wrong, Misty?" Ash asks as Misty takes a few deep breaths. The young woman doesn't respond for a few minutes as she calms herself and gathers some courage. She looks at Ash with a serious expression, and Ash knew that she was wanting to discuss something very important.
"Ash. Do you remember when I said I needed to tell you something the other day, and that I would tell you when it was right?" Misty says in a soft yet serious tone. Ash nods and looks at Misty as she takes another deep breath.
"Well, I think it's time I tell you. Now I don't know if I can do this again so pay attention okay?" Misty says as she glares slightly at Ash who nods and gives her his attention. She smiles slightly at this and sighs.
"Alright..We've known each other for a while. I don't know when it happened, but for a few years now, I've..felt differently towards you. I never said anything because I didn't think you'd understand. You weren't ready to hear it yet, and that was okay. I was willing to wait because you are very important to me Ash. But after I talked to Brock, I realized that I had to tell you. Because if I didn't tell you now, I don't know if I ever would get the courage to tell you." Misty says as she looks at Ash to make sure he was still listening and that he understood. Misty was slightly impressed, because it seemed that Ash was paying very close attention and that he wasn't confused. He smiles at her and nods for her to keep going.
"Ash, for so long..I've felt strongly towards you. I know I've acted..bad at times and that I have a bad temper. But it's because I get scared. I get scared that something will hurt you, that you will do something rash and I could..lose you. It's hard Ash..I know you have shown you can take care of yourself but..sometimes I worried that you would put yourself in danger that..you'd get really hurt or..worse. Those years that you didn't say anything because you were focused on training..really scared me. I would call your mom each week to just make sure you were okay. I did ask what you were doing but..Your mom said that you had asked her to not say anything." Misty was softly crying now, and Ash gently hugs her as she lets out her repressed feelings. She starts crying now as she gently hugs him back, and he rubs her back.
"I-it was so hard..I've always been scared that..if I waited too long..someone else would..get your..attention. I guess..I did wait too long because..someone already has.." Misty says quietly as she slowly calms down. Ash moves away and looks at her.
"What do you mean Misty? You're my best friend. I'm sorry I've been spending more time with Latias, but I missed her. But I didn't mean to make you feel this way. If you want I'll spend more time with you too." Ash says as he smiles and holds her hand, gently squeezing it. Misty sighs and let's go of his hand as she looks at him.
"You idiot..sure spending more time with me would be nice.. but that's not what I'm trying to say. Ash..I know you probably won't feel the same because..I've already seen how you are around Latias..but I love you." Misty says finally as she feels relieved at being able to finally tell Ash. Ash just looks at her in surprise, while he scratches his head and thinks of what to say.
'She loves me? What does she mean? Love as I'm friends? Love as in family? No..I wish Brock was here to help. This is still weird and I don't..no. I have to think this through. Misty really is serious with this. I can see it took a lot for her to say this. Wait..Brock said if someone really cares..that they feel that feeling I told him I felt towards Latias. I never thought someone else would feel that way towards me. Okay. I think Misty loves me in the way I feel towards Latias. But..what do I tell her? I don't know what to say!' Ash thinks as he rubs his neck. Misty meanwhile was watching him patiently.
'Okay. Think..Mom use to say how she had guys ask her out on dates before but she said no in a nice way. She always told me if someone said they liked me but I didn't like them back to say no gently. I never really thought much about it because I didn't think that would ever happen, but..it is. So..that's what I need to do! I just need to tell her in a nice way..that I don't feel that way towards her. I hope she doesn't get hurt by this..I don't want to hurt her.' Ash sighs softly as he looks at Misty.
"Um..Misty. I'll be honest and say..that..this is all still weird to me. I only recently found out what..love is. I don't really know much about it yet, but..um...I know that I've only felt love when I'm with Latias. But, I do care about you! You are my best friend and I really do like you. But..I think..as Brock said it..I like you as a friend. You guys are..the closest thing to a family that I have. I don't want to hurt you but.. I don't..feel that way towards you." Ash says as he sighs and looks at her. Misty feels some pain because he didn't feel the same, but she also feels relieved. She feels like she finally could move on now that she knows how he feels.
To Ash's surprise, Misty starts smiling and even giggles a little. The red head hugs Ash tightly and giggles as she moves away and looks at her best friend. She could see he was confused and she giggles more. Pikachu comes back at this time with a happy look and hops on Ash's shoulder.
"You dork, it's okay. I sort of already knew that you didn't feel the same way. I just needed to let you know how I feel. I'm not angry at you. I'll admit I am a little hurt, but I already talked to Brock. Not to mention that I could see how much you like Latias." Misty says as Ash slightly blushes and rubs his neck sheepishly.
"Am I really that obvious?" Ash says as Misty giggles.
"Yes you are. Though I'll say that it was kind of obvious when you made Latias pancakes that were like her. It was cute when she turned red though. Now, I know that you are new to love, so I want to help you. If anything I want to thank you, for telling me how you felt. It helps me a lot to move on. You're my best friend Ash. But don't think I will not hit you when you act rashly or do something stupid." Misty says as he sweats and rubs his arm.
"Well..I'm glad I could help you. But what..do I do now?" Ash asks as he stands and Misty stands as well. She walks towards the park as Ash follows. Pikachu looks around at the beautiful scenery and lets out a soft "chaaaa" to which Ash nods.
"Yeah buddy, it really is amazing." He says softly to Pikachu before looking at Misty.
"Well, you need to show Latias you love her. That could mean taking her to movies, taking her to the park, getting her gifts, and just spending time with her." Misty says as she starts looking around when they enter the park.
"Gifts? So like by getting her things I'll show her I love her? I did get her something because Bianca said it'd be nice to show I cared." Ash says while he stops to watch as a young man plays with his Pokémon. He moves to scratch Pikachu's ears and smiles.
"Well not just anything. You should see what she likes. It could be clothes, it could be a necklace or ring, or it could even be food. Ask her where her favorite place to eat is or what her favorite food is. A woman really loves it when the person they love cooks for them or takes them on a date to somewhere they really like." Misty replies as the three walk down a forest path. Ash looks around seeing wild Pokémon playing with each other, and a family of Pokémon resting in the bushes.
"Alright. What if I made Latias dinner, and then shared her favorite pastry? I got it the other day to surprise her." The young man asks as they stop at a nearby bench to just enjoy the natural scenery. They sit down as Pikachu sits in Ash's lap and Ash begins petting the yellow mouse.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu says happily as he closes his eyes and enjoys the attention. Ash just chuckles and keeps petting and scratching his ears.
"You're welcome buddy." Ash says as Misty thinks for a few minutes before she responds.
"That actually sounds really nice, Ash. I think you should wait for the dinner though. That's pretty romantic and it'll be a great time to tell her how you feel.if you really want to make her happy, offer to feed her the dessert. But I think you should ask Bianca what her favorite food is. Then after the special dinner Lorenzo is having in a few days, take her on a few dates. After that, I think you'll know when it's time to tell her how you feel." Misty says as she smiles at Ash. He nods and makes a mental note to talk to Bianca.
"Okay. I was thinking I could take her to the park maybe for a picnic, and then we could go to the garden to swim. That way we can have some peace and privacy while having fun." Ash says as Misty nods her approval.
"That sounds like a great idea. But I still think there are a few things you need to be ready for the dates." Misty states as she stands.
"What do you mean?" Ash says as Pikachu gets back on his shoulder and he stands. The three start heading towards the park entrance. Ash sees a few people holding hands, and even a few couples kissing. He blushes as he watches and Pikachu watches as well.
'I wonder..what it'd feel like to..kiss Latias.' He thinks to himself as his blush brightens and Pikachu grins.
"Pika, pika pi?~" Pikachu asks as Ash turns redder and moves to follow Misty.
"N-no I haven't a Pikachu. Not yet at least." He says softly as Pikachu grins.
"Pika, Pikachu!~" The yellow mouse says as Ash just looks away to hide his embarrassment.
"I-I don't know how they would taste..b-but I will find out when it's the right time." Ash replies as Misty just giggles.
"Do I even want to know what you two were talking about?" Misty asks as the three leave the park. They start walking towards the shopping area as Ash looks shyly away as he responds.
"He was..um asking if I've kissed Latias yet. I told him not yet..then he asked what her lips tasted like. I said..that I didn't know but..that I'd find out when it was the right time." He says quietly as he rubs his arm. Pikachu just laughs and Misty giggles.
"That's so adorable. I bet Latias loves seeing you blushing so much. It does make you look cute." Misty says as she giggles and Ash pouts.
"I'm not cute! I'm supposed to be tough!" He says as he strikes a pose and Misty just smiles and sighs.
"Alright tough guy. It's time to go shopping." The young woman says as Ash slightly pales and sweats as he looks at her in slight fear.
"Oh no..anything but that!" Ash pleads as Misty just places her hands on her hips and glares lightly at him.
"Hey, I'll have you know that most women enjoy shopping. Now most don't get as much stuff as I do, but as a gentleman, the man needs to help the woman. Besides, this stuff isn't for me. I'm going to take you shopping for clothes, gifts, and some other things to help you with your dates with Latias." Misty states as the two start walking again.
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Ash says as he looks confused and scratches his head. Misty just sighs and moves to a nearby men's clothing store.
"You really do need help with love. Let's start with your clothes." Misty says as the two head into the store.
After a few hours of trying out new clothes, which consisted with Ash choosing bad clothes much to the amusement of Pikachu, Misty helped him pick some nicer clothes. She helped him choose a nice pair of tropical swim pants, a nice pair of shorts and a nice shirt for the dinner with Lorenzo. She then helped him pick out very nice clothes which consisted of a tuxedo and black pants for his dinner date with Latias when he was ready, and some cologne and other things.
As the three friends leave the store, Misty was explain why he needed the different clothes. Ash listens as he scratches his head and carries the bags in his other arm.
"So, what are each of the clothes for?" Misty asks as they head towards the gift stores.
"The tuxedo is for the dinner with Latias. The nice clothes are for special events like the dinner with Lorenzo, and the swim pants are for when I go swimming of course." Ash says sheepishly.
"What else did we find out today?" Misty asks as they stop to look at some small gifts.
"That I will need to have my mom teach me how to choose clothes, that I shouldn't go shopping for clothes without you or Bianca or my mother when I get back home because I can't get good clothes, and that there's still a lot I have to learn with love." Ash says as Misty nods and the two continue on.
"Pika, pika pi! Pikachu!" Pikachu says before laughing and Ash glares at his best friend with embarrassment.
"Thank you, Pikachu. He said that if I choose my clothes I look silly." Ash says while sighing and pouting. Misty giggles as they arrive at a flower shop.
"Alright Ash. It's time to teach you what kinds of gifts to get a girl to show her that you love her." The red head says as they walk inside the store.
"Alright, when it's time for your dinner, get Latias some flowers. Each flower represents a different kind of love. It's your choice on which to choose. First, we have the most known flower, which is the red rose. It means romance and passion and shows that you love someone. Red tulips are for true love, while white are for forgiveness or to show worthiness. Next we have carnations. Each color represents different feelings. But it's mainly used to represent fascination and distinction. The orchid represents luxury and refinement and is used to show how lucky you are to have your special person. The peony is used mostly at weddings and is used to show that the girl is the most beautiful to you." Here Misty pauses to make sure Ash was paying attention. To her slight impressment, Ash was nodding and had started writing the things she said on a notepad he had.
"Next, we have the flowers to show love and friendship. First is the alstroemeria which shows devotion and support. Next is the chrysanthemum which represents joy and optimism. After that, we have the sunflower. It represents adoration and loyalty. I think that it would be a great choice for Latias as well as the alstroemeria. She's been through hard times and she's still stayed strong. Then we have the zinnia. I'd also recommend that as well to help her with the memories you've had together. It's also to help honor the ones she's lost." Misty pauses and Ash clenches his fist as he sheds a few tears. Misty gently pats his arm and smiles in understanding.
"It's okay Ash. I'm sure Latias will love if you got her the zinnias. The zinnia also represents respect and honor. You respect your friends and I think it would really make her happy to see how much you respect her. Finally, we have the violet. This one is also one I'd strongly recommend you give to her. It represents faith and affection and the violet color is to hint that you'd like to be more than friends, but don't want to be too forward with." Misty states as Ash continues to listen and write each flower. Misty smiles and sighs as she admires how devoted he was to Latias.
"Finally, we have the flowers that represent love and family. First, we have the daisy which represents innocence and simplicity. Next, we have hydrangea which shows togetherness and unity. The next one, I'd really recommend you get. The Lily represents purity and refinement. The Lily of the valley represents sweetness and purity of the heart. The next one is the lilac. It represents youth and innocence, light purple is for first love. Finally, we have the gardenia. It represents hope and clarity. I know that you'll choose the right ones for Latias." Misty says smiling as Ash smiles back and nods.
Next, Misty takes him to the store and shows him some sweets. Ash nods as she explains what kinds of sweets to show love. He listens attentively and writes down what she says. Pikachu looks at Ash and then runs off. He returns later with a small bottle of ketchup and looks pleadingly at Ash. The young trainer chuckles and buys it for his best friend as Misty shows him a few more things to show his love.
After a few more hours, the three head back to Bianca's house. Misty was going over everything with Ash once more to make sure he remembers everything. Ash tells her everything he learned and smiles happily.
"So Ash, do you think you understand what love is? Do you know what to do now?" Misty says as they arrive at Bianca's house. Ash nods happily and gives Misty a gentle hug.
"Yes I do. Thank you so much for your help Misty. I learned a lot today." Ash says softly as Misty lightly blushes. She then moves away and punches his shoulder lightly and places her hands on her hips as Pikachu heads inside to eat his ketchup.
"Good. You better do your best to not mess this up. Latias is very sweet and you need to do your best to show her how much you love her. I'm sure I speak for Bianca as well when I say that if you hurt Latias you'll be hearing from me!" Misty says as another voice speaks.
"Me as well! No one will hurt the closest thing to a sister that I have. You better not break her heart Ash Ketchum." Bianca says as she and Brock head towards Ash and Misty. Brock was carrying some bags, but not as much as he had with Misty.
"Don't worry guys. I would never hurt Latias. She means so much to me. I care too much about her to ever think of hurting her." Ash says with a serious tone. Bianca and Misty both look at him before smiling.
"I know Ash. But we still wanted to remind you. Now, let's go inside! Remember what you need to do Ash?" Misty says as the four head inside and Brock and Misty head towards their rooms. Ash moves to sit on the couch as he looks at Bianca.
"Hey Bianca, can I ask you some things?" Ash says as Bianca nods and sits next to him.
"Sure Ash. What would you like to know?" The young artist says as she smiles and looks at the raven haired trainer.
"Well, I was wondering what Latias's favorite food was? I was thinking I'd make her dinner." Ash asks as he rubs his neck shyly. Bianca giggles and smiles.
"Oh Latias LOVES calzones with rosemary mushroom risotto. Besides a sitrus pastry, she really loves chocolate covered strawberries. She just loves them. Make her some garlic bread and she will be drooling." Bianca replies giggling. Ash just chuckles as he nods and writes it down. Bianca looks curiously at the notepad and Ash smiles sheepishly.
"I wrote down everything Misty told me to do for someone you love. Including her telling me that I um..shouldn't go shopping for clothes without you, her, or my mother because I don't know how to choose good clothes." Ash says as he blushes and Bianca just laughs.
"Bianca, I did want to ask you a few more things as well. Was there any place she likes in the park? I was wanting to take her there for a picnic. Also, I'm going to take her swimming and I um..was wondering if she has any swimsuits." Ash says while he rubs his neck.
"No I don't think she has anywhere specific and she doesn't have any swimsuits. But she does have the perfect dress for your dinner date. She picked it herself and I must admit that she really looks beautiful. But, I'll take her shopping tomorrow for some new clothes and a swimsuit to wear. You'll love how she looks!" Bianca says as she giggles. Ash just blushes as he tries to think of how beautiful Latias would look in a dress and swimsuit. This makes the young man blush more and Bianca just giggles as she pats his arm.
"You really are a great guy Ash. I'm sure Latias will be really happy to spend time with you. She's going to be even more in love with you. I bet she blushes so much!" She gushes as she stands. They hear the front door opening and see Latias walk in looking slightly tired and tense. Bianca smiles at Ash and nods to him.
"Why don't you go spend some time with Latias. She looks like she had a bad day. I'm going to help grandpa make dinner." The young woman says as he heads to the kitchen to help her grandfather make dinner. Ash heads towards Latias and hugs her from behind. She lets out a surprised squeak and blushes as Ash moves so they could look at one another.
"Hey Tia." Ash says softly as she blushes and runs her hand shyly through her hair.
"H-hi Ash." The young dragoness says as she looks into his handsome brown eyes. She sighs internally as she slightly snuggles into his warm embrace. He chuckles softly and guides her to the couch where he sits down and pats his lap gently.
"You look like you had a rough day. Why don't you sit and tell me about it?" He says as Latias actually squeaks out and stammers a bit before she sits in his lap. She blushes fully red as Ash begins massaging her tense shoulders. She melts in his arms as she coos happily.
"Ohhh that feels so good. Today was going fine until Jackson started flirting with me. He did it in front of the other Lati's and I couldn't really be rude to him. He kept following me for most of the day until I finally could tell him to leave. He did say that he was going to do something to prove that I should be with him. I don't like how that sounds, Ash. You need to be careful when you go to the garden without me, okay?" Latias says softly as she moans at how well Ash was massaging her shoulders and back. She leans closer to him and coos as she nestled her head under his chin. He holds her with as much care and love he can, savoring how happy he was.
'Don't worry Latias. I'll show you how much I love you. I'll protect you from ever being hurt. I promise you.' Ash thinks as he holds the innocent and beautiful dragoness in her disguised form. He can smell lavender and a faint hint of strawberries and fruits as he rubs her arms. He knew he loved Latias with all his heart. He would do everything he could to make her happy and see how much he loved her.
As Brock finishes putting his things away, he looks at Misty who was sitting on her bed and she was thinking. Brock sits next to her and smiles as he pats her leg gently.
"Hey Misty, are you okay?" Brock asks as Misty looks at him and smiles.
"Yes Brock. I'm doing great. I told Ash how I felt. He's in love with Latias just like we thought. But now I can move on." Misty says as Brock pats her back.
"That's good to hear Misty. I'm happy for you." Brock says while Misty just sighs and frowns.
"I was thinking that someone will need to talk to Ash soon. While Kanto and Hoenn accept Pokémon and trainer relationships, not every place does. Ash should know what he is going to have to expect when he visits places." Misty says as Brock looks at her.
"I can talk to Ash tomorrow. We were going to spend time together." Brock says as Misty sighs with relief.
"Thanks Brock." She says as Bianca knocks on the door.
"Hey guys, I just wanted to say that dinner is ready." Bianca says as she heads back to the table. Brock smiles as he stands and heads towards the door.
"So how did taking Ash shopping go?" Brock asks as Misty stands and moves towards him.
"Let's just say that he can't go shopping for clothes by himself. Though he really impressed me when he took notes on everything I said on showing love." Misty said as Brock looks curiously at her.
"Ash took notes? He must have known he wouldn't remember. He really wants to show his love for Latias." Brock says as they head to the table.
"I think they will make a cute couple." Misty says as she giggles.
"Hey guys, ready for dinner?" Ash says as he smiles and looks at the dinner.
"Yes we are Ash." Misty says as everyone starts eating.
As everyone finishes their dinner, Ash helps Lorenzo clean the dishes. Bianca talks to Latias while Brock and Misty head to bed.
"So Latias, I was thinking tomorrow we can go shopping! There are some cute clothes that I think Ash would love to see you wear.~" Bianca says as Latias blushes slightly.
"That sounds great. After that I'll spend time with Ash. We can shop for some clothes for the dinner with Lorenzo." The young dragoness says. Bianca nods and smiles.
"Well then, we should get to bed to get the things you want tomorrow." Bianca says as she heads to her room. Latias heads to where Ash was sitting on the couch rubbing Pikachu's ears.
Hey Ash. I just wanted to say sleep well. I'm headed to bed now." Latias says as Ash stands and hugs her gently. The young dragoness smiles and hugs him back. But she turns red when Ash decides to peck her cheek and he blushes red himself.
"That was for when you kissed my cheek. Have a great sleep, Latias." Ash says as Latias just stammers and squeaks. Ash chuckles as he heads to bed and Latias smiles extremely happily.
'I love you Ash. I'll tell you how I feel as soon as I can. Sleep well.' Latias thinks as she heads to bed.
