The Rhino suddenly jumped out of his seat hugging the Monkey. "Lazlo Alive, Lazlo Alive"
Lazlo Looked at Clam, stating of course he was alive as the rhino was not seeming to let go, commenting how much he missed Lazlo. Patsy was just sitting at her seat, surprised that the Monkey actually wasn't eaten by a bear. This meant they could all return to Camp Runnybottom with little trouble.
Clam went off to get Raj as Lazlo and Patsy were left alone. The Mongoose fumbled, looked for the right words to say as she believed Lazlo was dead.
"Lazlo I... Glad to see you're Okay" She replied to a bit surprised as Lazlo nodded, saying it was nice to see her again too. they had not really interacted so Lazlo Barely knew her as she shook him. "How could you just leave the campgrounds when you were specifically told not to do that!"
Eventually Clam returned with Raj, who called out the Bus Boy for not giving him any ice before realizing his identity, quickly going in for a hug. eventually the four sat down talking about what happened.
"And then We rode with this Crazy weasel, we ended up in town, Clam got hungry and here we are" Raj explained, telling Lazlo how the three of them ended up the restaurant, putting his arms around Clam and Lazlo. "They Jellybean Trio, together again"
Patsy spoke up, saying all this time they were worried the bear had eaten Lazlo, so much that they violated Camp rules and went off into nature against Scoutmaster Lumpus' wishes. commenting he was going to be really mad when they returned.
"Why would everyone think that?" Lazlo asked, knowing Fluffy personally and that while he was a bit protective, he wasn't capable of a mauling. Patsy told Lazlo about the bloody mess that Amber had found as Lazlo thought about what she meant by Bloody mess.
Lazlo told them that mess was just a bowl of Chef Mcmuesli's Beet Salad, he had tried to cheer Fluffy up with lunch, but it did NOT work. The three looked at each other, realizing that made sense as Mcmuesli's food was awful.
"So, what happened to the bear" Raj asked as Lazlo explained that Fluffy just left after that, concluding he was fed up with Camp Runnybottom. Patsy commented that it ultimately did not matter, suggesting they all head back to Camp Runnybottom.
Patsy, Raj and Clam stood up from the table, walking toward to front of the restaurant as Lazlo spoke up, saying what none of them ever expected him to say, that he did not want to go back. The Three stopped, walking in reverse as they ended up back at the table, Raj cleaning out his ear, asking what he said.
"I Said I Don't Want to go back to Camp Runnybottom" Lazlo repeated, claiming he liked it at Beef Lumberjacks. "Don't get me wrong I Like the Scouts and all but all that 'Organized' Camping was just... cramping my style" Lazlo admitted as the three looked at him in disbelief.
"You're staying because you had Cramps?" Raj asked not knowing how to process this, the fact that Lazlo Moreira his new friend did not want to return with them. Lazlo added that he got paid being a Bus Boy and the cool outfit was an added bonus.
Raj looked at the Monkey. "You Know Lazlo when we first met you, Clam and I didn't know 'Anything' about Camping, but you showed us what Camping is. That it's having fun and adventure in Nature, but we did not escape from Camp to be good campers, we did it find you...because Friends should stick together."
Lazlo got what he was saying but countered him, saying the biggest thing about Lazlo Moreira was he lived a life free from shackles, going where the wind took him and doing what he wanted, living a life of true freedom. "Doesn't it feel nice to just shrug off responsibility and go where the wind blows?"
Raj walked back to Clam as they were walking out. "Not when it blows away your Best Friend".
Clam wished the Monkey good luck with 'his wind' as the two left the restaurant prepared to return to Camp empty handed. Patsy stood there, pulling the monkey in by his collar, telling the Monkey how her day had been.
"First I had to live with the guilt that I Let Raj and Clam wander off to find you, than I left the campgrounds, wandered aimlessly through the woods, got my shoes coated in Garlic Butter, fell down a hill, got a rash on my bum which I 'Hope' is just poison Ivy, then we ride the railway with a lunatic Weasel and make our way into town. and then when we finally find you, Not only are you alive and well, but you also don't want to return to camp" Patsy went on, clearly furious with Lazlo before collecting herself.
"Those two did all that and more trying to find you because they could not accept the fact you were eaten by a bear, because they care about you, and you just turn your back on them?" Patsy asked.
Lazlo tried to respond as Patsy just shushed him, telling him that she hoped he could realize how much they needed him before dropping the final bombshell. "And I'll admit coming here... I Loved every second of it" Patsy admitted as Lazlo looked at her shocked. Patsy explained that it was first time since she could remember that she had Fun.
Lazlo looked at her, asking if he heard that right; Patsy Smiles having fun? Eventually she told Lazlo to do what he wanted as her mission was only to bring Raj and Clam back. The Mongoose left the restaurant.
The Three caught a ride back to Camp Runnybotom, getting out of the car as Patsy thanked the driver who was happy to support the local scouts, driving off. It wasn't until they walked up that they saw slight differences. the first being that Chip and Skip were standing at the Camp entrance dressed like hunters.
Chip noticed the three, asking them to halt. Patsy just walked past them as Raj and Clam did the same as the beetles said they could not just do that as Patsy looked at them, asking what the 'Poop Patrol' was going to do about it, hitting the tether ball Skip was holding as it beamed around, tying up the two Beetles. "TRESPASSERS AT THE GATE!".
"Well, well, where have you three been" Samsom added walking behind them, pointing a rake at them as Patsy scowled at Samson, telling the Guinea Pig that if he didn't back off with that rake, she would shove it so far up his ass he'd get splinters on his tongue. Knowing not to get in a scrape with Patsy, he let the three walk by as he went to cabin 8 to report their return to Edward.
Samson knocked on Cabin 8, which resembled a bear hunter's lodge. after being told to enter he did where Edward as siting on a throne made on empty 'Sputnik Cosmo Pop' boxes. He proceeded to tell him that Raj, Clam and Patsy had returned to Camp. Edward was a bit on the fence. IF they had made contact with Lazlo, they could undo everything, asking Sason to bring them to him so he could debrief them.
Samson looked at him saying there was no way he could bring Patsy to him as Edward looked over the Gretchen. "You're her friend, convince her to come, I just want to talk to her. this was cut off by the yelling of Chip.
"TEDDY, a Teddy bear got Skip" The voice of Chip yelled running into the cabin, hiding under his bed and crying as Edward looked at Chip dismissively, reminding Chip he scared the bear off. He looked at Gretchen, telling her to cancel the previous request and check it out. pointing out if it was a bear, Gretchen had the best chance being the toughest scout in camp.
"On It" The gator replied, not really intimidated as she went out to check it out. Edward stayed on his throne, licking his popsicle. Outside the Camp Entrance Gretchen looked around, calling out for Skip "Skip, Skip, Dung number 2" Gretchen called out, claiming she could not hear anything, claiming there was nothing out there.
This was cut off by a loud roar and Skip running into the Campground "Nice Teddy, Nice Teddy" he repeated, the Dung Bettle backing up against the flagpole. the Scouts looked at each other asking what they do as Rachel called out "To the Bear Hunter's Cabin, he'll protect us."
All the scouts bolted into Cabin 8 which was packed with scout, all swarming Edward, asking what they should do. Edward freaked, calling every Scout for themselves as he ran out of the cabin before being backed against the flagpole by Fluffy.
Back in the Scoutmaster cabin Jane was drinking her coffee when she spit out, seeing the bear had returned to Camp. the deer looked over the Slinkman who was trying to get an old radio working, as she shook him telling him about the bear. Slinkman spoke into the microphone.
"Mayday, Mayday, there is a bear loose in Camp Runnybottom, anyone come in please. I repeat, Code Red: Campers in Danger" Slinkman called as they had actually made contact. hearing the Voice of Commander Hoo-Ha, the Camp's super intendent
"Camp Runnybottom, is that you Slugman?" the voice of the military man boomed out as Slinkman was relived to make contact, tell Hoo-Ha about the bear in the camp as Lumpus broke down the door with an axe, tackling Slinkman as he snatched the microphone.
"Gimmie That! Ignore that last comment sir, everything is fine here" Lumpus bluffed, hoping to cover his ass seeing Fluffy pull Edward down the pole. as Edward apologized to the bear for everything, admitting to the whole camp population that he was lying and never scared off the bear.
"Please Don't eat me Mr. Bear" Edward begged. when it looked like the platypus was done for a whistle was heard as the bear stopped in in track. all the scouts turned seeing Lazlo as the bear rushed over, licking the Monkey like a pet happy to see its owner. The two grumbled, apparently speaking in bear as Lazlo Approached Edward, explaining that Fluffy was acting up because he had another pinecone stuck in his nose.
after the pinecone was removed the bear left with incident as the rest of Cabin 13 ran into to hug Lazlo for coming back Slinkman looked at Lumpus, pointing out the Elephant and Rhino.
Lazlo's return was a shock to everyone, as Lumpus looked into the microphone. "My apologies sir, we have been having phone troubles, all campers are accounted for sir" Lumpus replied, wiping his forehead.
"Finally, that's all I was calling for, how hard is it to turn in a routine rollcall report."
so, this is the ending of the where's Lazlo Storyline, I'm looking at adapt the episodes but some of them will have to be reworked or omitted altogether as they might not work in this timeline.
