This chapter is going to be the special dinner with Lorenzo! So the start of some romance and then the dates can begin!

As Ash wakes up, he smiles to himself. Today is the day he will show Latias what she means to him. He gets up earlier than usual, and as quietly as he can, leaves the room. The sun is barely rising as he walks to Bianca's room. He opens the door and walks where Latias is sleeping.
'She really looks so beautiful. The sun is hitting her just right, that it shows her beauty even more.' Ash thinks as he smiles and takes a few moments to just watch Latias sleep. How the sunlight makes her red feathers more radiant, how her cute face makes Ash's cheeks turn red, and how innocent and beautiful she looks.
At first, Ash had been confused about these kinds of thoughts. He hadn't known why he was thinking that way, or what to do. But thanks to his talk with Brock and meeting Latias, he found out what those thoughts were. He now enjoyed the feelings, and wanted to feel that way as much as he could.
After observing her sleep for a few more minutes, Ash crouches near her and strokes her cheek a few times. She was in her normal form, which Ash thought was the most beautiful. He prefers seeing her in her Pokémon form, as it was more cute to him. Latias smiles in her sleep and nuzzles Ash's hand gently, letting out an adorable coo as Ash just chuckles softly and rubs her cheeks more.
Ash does this for a few more minutes before Latias slowly opens her eyes and blinks a few times. There was Ash, by her face, and he was affectionately stroking her cheeks. She blushes and just nuzzles his hand before Ash moves towards her and takes her cheeks in his hands. Ash leans forward and gently kisses her forehead, before he rests his forehead on hers, their noses touching as he looks lovingly into her eyes.
"Good morning Latias. How did you sleep?" Ash whispers as Latias was speechless. She tries to speak, only letting out adorable coos which Ash smiles at and Latias blushes even more. Ash continues rubbing her cheeks before he lets her get up and he hugs her gently. He rubs her back as Latias wraps her claws around his back.
"G-g-good morning Ashy. I-I slept great thank you. H-how did you sleep?" Latias stutters as Ash moves away and gently takes her claws in his hands. Ash was slightly blushing but he looks at her with adoration and care.
"I slept well. I'm sorry for waking you up so early, but I wanted to take you out to breakfast. I had a place in mind that I thought you'd like. Then, I figured we could walk around the city. After that, I thought we could have some lunch and then go to some shops. I know we've been to most but we could still find some things. Finally, we can head back here to have dinner with Lorenzo. I know that today is special to you. You are special to me, Latias. I want you to know that I really care for you." Ash says as he and gently kisses her claws. The gesture Makes Latias squeal mentally and she gently rubs his cheeks while she looks into his light brown eyes with love.
"That sounds like a wonderful plan, Ash. Just let me get dressed okay? I want to try out one of the new shirts I got." Latias says as Ash smiles and heads to the living room to wait. After a little while, Latias heads to where Ash was waiting. He looks at Latias with a very shocked expression.
The young dragoness was wearing a short sleeved red shirt with a Latias on it, with a white pair of shorts, and a beautiful amber necklace. He smiles as he looks at her with interest and Latias shyly holds her arm.
"S-so how do I look?" The embarrassed dragoness says in a soft tone. Ash just looks at her for a few moments in sheer admiration, before he looks at her.
"Wow..you look..you look really good Latias." Ash says as he smiles and rubs his neck. Latias smiles happily and giggles.
'He really looks so cute when he's embarrassed.' Latias thinks as he opens the door for her.
She leaves the house with Ash walking by her. For a few moments, the two walk in a comfortable peace, as Ash glances at Latias a few times, admiring how pretty she was. Latias blushes as she watches him look at her, before she looks back at him and they look at one another for a few seconds. Ash and Latias both blush and Ash takes her hand in his hand.
"So Latias, I was thinking I'd spend the next few days with you. Just us. If that's..okay?" Ash asks as the two walk hand in hand to the restaurant. Latias thinks for a few moments before she responds.
"I would really like that, Ashy. What did you want to do?" She asks as Ash grins mischievously and squeezes her hand gently.
"If I told you, then it wouldn't be a surprise would it?" Ash says as he smiles at Latias. Latias stops and just looks at the raven haired trainer with shock for a few moments before she starts walking with him.
'It almost sounds like Ash is..taking me on a date! But..why would he do that..unless he feels the same why I feel about him.' Latias thinks as she smiles.
'Maybe Bianca was right. Maybe he does feel the same way. I should wait and see.' She thinks as she walks with him. They arrive at the restaurant and Latias looks in curiosity at Ash.
"Don't worry, Latias. They make great breakfast. I know the owners too. We are great friends." Ash says as Latias looks slightly impressed. She had heard that this restaurant was really popular in many regions from Bianca. Bianca had told her they really were good and that she should try it. She was impressed that Ash knew the owners and was friends with them.
The two friends walk inside and Ash smiles as he walks to James and hugs him. James smiles and talks with Ash for a little before Ash heads to Latias.
"James said we can have a table and that he'd have breakfast ready for us. I told him you like pancakes with that berry butter and some fruit. Is that okay?" Ash asks as he heads to a table and sits. Latias follows and sits across from him as she smiles and she takes his hands in hers and squeezes.
"That sounds great Ash. How do you know the owners?" Latias asks as Ash rubs his neck sheepishly.
"Well it's a long story. But they used to follow me around different regions. They used to be a part of Team Rocket." Ash says as Latias gets worried and looks concerned at Ash.
"They were part of Team Rocket? How do you know they aren't still a part of them? What if they find out I'm really a Pokémon?" Latias says in a worried tone as Ash gently rubs her hands and squeezes them.
"Hey, it's okay Tia. They are good guys now. I think of them as my family. They have helped me with a lot of things and even helped me fight Team Rocket. I told James that you were Latias and that you were my friend. He promised that they wouldn't tell anyone. You can trust them, okay?" Ash says in a comforting tone as Latias relaxes and nods.
"If you trust them Ash, I will trust them." Latias says as she smiles as Ash smiles back. While they waited for their food, Ash tells Latias of what he had done for the last few years. Latias listens with interest as Ash tells some of his embarrassing moments which cause Latias to giggle.
"You should have seen moms face when she heard about it. Pikachu was sooo mad and I got in so much trouble from mom. I definitely learned my lesson after that." Ash says sheepishly as Lati's giggles loudly and Ash sighs happily. He loved hearing Latias giggle.
'I really love her. I'm so excited to see how she likes everything I've planned.' The young trainer thinks happily to himself as James comes with their food. Ash waits for Latias to start eating, with a mischievous grin. Latias looks at him confused before her face becomes fully red. She lets an audible squeak as she looks at Ash with embarrassment.
There were Latias and Ash shaped pancakes holding hands on her plate, with fruit shaped like hearts, and her favorite berry butter. She looks at Ash who was smiling happily, and she squeezes his hand.
"T-thank you Ashy. This is really sweet." The disguised dragoness says in a soft tone. She feels her heart beat faster, as she looks longingly into his eyes. She feels her love get even stronger and she looks at Ash with as much love as she could.
The young man looks at Latias and feels the warmth grow stronger. His heart was beating rapidly as he just looks into her gorgeous amber eyes. After a while, he reluctantly lets go of her hands and smiles at her.
"We should probably eat. We don't want the food to get cold." Ash says as Latias nods and the two start eating. Latias looks in adoration at Ash as she eats, feeling more happy than she has felt in years.
'I love you Ash, so much. I will tell you how I feel soon. I promise' Latias thinks as she eats.
After they had finished eating, the two friends head to the park. Latias had taken Ash's hand in hers and held it while they walked.
"You were right Ash. They really were good. I'd love to go another time." Latias says as Ash grins and looks at her.
"I'll be sure to take you there sometime." Ash replies. Latias looks at Ash as they enter the park. Ash leads Latias to a more private area, where a nice tree was and he sits down against it. He pulls Latias into his lap and holds her, as she coos softly and rests her back against his chest. They sit in a comfortable silence as Ash holds her and wraps his arms around her stomach. She blush lightly and nuzzles into his chest.
Ash was extremely happy as he held the woman he loved in his arms. He could feel his heart pounding and he felt warmth spread to his cheeks. This was one of the most intimate things he had done, and he was feeling so happy.
"Are you comfortable, Tia?" Ash asks quietly as Latias just snuggles into his arms more.
"Yes I am. You really are comfortable Ashy. Can we stay like this for a while?" Latias asks as she closes her eyes and feels herself start to get sleepy.
"Sure Latias." Ash says as Latias sleeps in his arms. Soon, Ash feels himself get sleepy as well and slowly closes his eyes as he holds the Pokémon he loves in his arms.
A few hours later, Ash slowly opens his eyes. He looks at Latias cuddling with him. He gently strokes her cheek and hugs her which makes her wake up. She yawns cutely and looks at Ash, before she blushes and snuggles shyly into his arms.
"Hey Tia. Did you sleep well?" Ash asks chuckling. Latias blushes and hides her face on his chest.
"Y-yes I did. You are really comfortable." Latias says as Ash smiles and hugs her gently.
"Well, as much as I would like to stay cuddling, we should probably head back to Lorenzo's house. It's almost time for dinner." Ash says as Latias pouts and looks at Ash with a cute expression.
"Can we please stay like this for a little longer?" Latias pleads as she snuggles more with Ash. He sighs but smiles as he gently kisses her forehead.
"Alright. We can cuddle a little longer."
"Yay!" Latias says happily as she wraps her arms around Ash's chest and snuggles in his lap. Ash just chuckles and pets her head. He admires how beautiful she looks, how warm she was, and how good it felt to hold her in his arms. He lets her snuggle in his arms for a while longer, before he gently rubs her arms.
"Alright Tia. We should get going or we will be late. I know you're comfortable but I have something for you." Ash says as Latias sighs cutely and then stands. She rubs her arm shyly as Ash stands and takes her hand.
"I know you'll love what I got you. So, shall we go, my lady?" Ash says in a deeper tone which causes Latias to giggle.
"Very well, my kind sir. But you owe me snuggles later!" Latias declares as Ash blushes but smiles.
"I would love to, Lily." Ash says softly as they start walking to the store where Ash visited the other day. As they walk, Ash sees a nice area where he could take Latias on the first date, and makes a mental note to go there. Ash gently squeezes Latias's hand as he looks at her.
"You really do look beautiful, Lily. I know I may not know much about clothes, but I know you really look cute in that outfit." The young man compliments while Latias turns a bit red and she shyly looks in away.
"Thank you, Ash. I had hoped you'd like it." The beautiful dragoness responds as they leave the park. Latias looks at Ash a few times, just admiring how handsome he looked. He looked perfect to her, and she would love him no matter what.
"Alright, we are here. Just wait here for a few moments alright? I'll be right back." Ash says as they arrive at the store. Latias nods and Ash grins as he heads inside the store. While she waits, Latias sees a few couples walk by. A few of them stopped to share a kiss, and then held hands lovingly. Latias sighs dreamily as she starts picturing her and Ash kissing and being a couple.
The disguised Pokémon was so caught up in her day dreaming, that she didn't notice that Ash returned with a decent sized box. He gently squeezes her hand to get her attention, which causes her to focus on him with a slight blush.
"Are you okay, Latias? You seemed distracted." Ash asks with slight concern. Latias blushes even more and nods as she squeezes his hand reassuringly.
"I-I'm fine. Just day dreaming. Is that for me?" Latias asks curiously as she reaches for the box. Ash moves the box away with a playful grin.
"Nope. Not yet. I'm going to give it to Bianca to hold until after dinner. You just have to wait until later." Ash says as Latias pouts extremely cutely at him.
"No fair! You said I'd get something today. You're going to make me wait even more?" She pouts as Ash chuckles.
"Sorry Tia. But we have to have dinner first. Don't worry. I know you'll love it." Ash says as Latias huffs and nods.
"Fine. But you owe me more snuggles and it had better be good!" The adorable dragoness declares as they start walking to Lorenzo's house. Ash just grins and squeezes her hand.
"You will like it. Don't worry." Ash states as Latias smiles.
'I can't wait to see what you got me, Ashy.' Latias thinks excitedly.
When the two finally arrive at the house, they see the others waiting in the living room for them. Bianca places her hands on her hips as she stomps towards them.
"Where have you two been?! You guys are half an hour late. Everyone is ready to go. I hope you guys didn't do anything bad." The young artist says as Ash blushes and Latias shyly rubs her arm.
"Sorry Bianca. Latias just slept with me-" Ash starts as Bianca looks wide eyed and Misty gets up and moves towards the sense trainer with a glare.
"You did WHAT with her?" The red head exclaims as Latias just turns extremely red and Ash looks confused. He didn't understand what they were mad about, but he knew he had to explain everything before Misty got to him.
"Wait, wait! We just cuddled against a tree! I held her and she feel asleep. I guess we both were comfortable because I fell asleep too. We woke up late and I had to get Latias something!" Ash explains as Misty looks at Ash for a few more moments before nodding and sighing.
"Good. You aren't ready for going that far yet." Misty mutters as Ash looks confused. Bianca just giggles as Latias moves closer to Ash.
"What do you mean, Misty? I'm ready for anything!" Ash exclaims as Misty just sweats while Bianca starts giggling louder. Brock heads to them and pats Ash on his back.
"You aren't ready for this yet, Ash. Trust me. When you're older, I'll tell you. Okay?" The older man says as Ash pouts but nods.
"Bianca, can you hold onto this until after dinner? Then you can give it to Latias."
"Sure, Ash. I'm sure Latias will love this." Bianca says as she takes the box and looks at Latias.
"Come on, Tia. Let's get you dressed for dinner. Ash, you should probably go get ready as well." Bianca states as the two young women head to Bianca's room. Ash nods and goes to take a shower. After he finishes, he combs his hair as best as he can, adds some cologne, and makes sure that he looks good.
'I've never taken time to make myself look good. I guess I just want Latias to like how I look.' Ash muses as he gets dressed. He puts on a nice set of clothes, a tropical shirt sleeved shirt, a nice pair of white shorts, and nice shoes. He heads to where everyone was waiting, and sees Latias. He is speechless as he blushes and stammers. She had on a beautiful dress, with flowers, ferns, and green shoes. She was wearing a tiger Lily in her hair, and was holding her arm very shyly as she looks at her feet while occasionally looking at Ash. Ash approaches Latias and just takes in how ravishingly beautiful she looks.
"H-how do I look?" She stutters slightly as she looks at Ash. Ash just stammers a bit before he manages to respond.
"I..uh..you..um..wow..you..look really, really, really beautiful. I-I never thought anyone could look so pretty." Ash finally says as Latias smiles happily. She moves and gently kisses his cheek, which makes Ash turn fully red, and he rubs his neck sheepishly.
"Thanks, Ashy." Latias says privately to him as Ash smiles happily.
"So, are we all ready to go to dinner?" Lorenzo asks as everyone nods. The group heads to dinner as they talk with each other. Ash stays with Latias the entire time and softly talks with her. They hold hands while they walk and Ash gives her hand a few squeezes. Bianca looks at them as they walk, and giggles softly as she watches them.
'They really are so cute! I know Ash will take care of you and make you happy. I wish you guys the best of luck.' The young woman thinks to herself as she starts talking to Misty.
The group had arrived at the restaurant and had started eating. The food was pretty good, though to Ash it wasn't as good as Jessie, James, and Meowth's food. The entire time everyone was eating, Ash and Latias were focused on each other. They exchange shy smiles, a few loving looks, and Ash held Latias's hand until their food came. The two ate at a slightly fast pace as Ash had told Latias that he had something to tell her. When they had finished, the two quietly left the restaurant to talk in private.
Bianca watches them leave and squeals mentally at how cute they were. Misty smiles as she looks at how happy Ash was and she was happy he was so happy. Brock smiles proudly at how much Ash had changed and Lorenzo smiles in a happy way.
The two friends head to a private area and Ash sits on a bench, with Latias moving to sit on the bench as well. He blushes and holds her hands in his hands. She sighs happily and smiles at him.
"I'm so happy you're here, Ashy. I've never felt so happy." Latias says happily as Ash hugs her gently.
"I'm glad to be here as well. You have no idea how much I've missed you. I do need to ask you something though." Ash says in a soft tone as Latias looks at him as he blushes slightly.
"What is it, Ashy?" Latias asks as she squeezes his hands.
"Latias..for so long..I have felt differently with you. I was confused at first, but I talked to Brock and we talked about what the feeling was. You're so special to me. I care for you so much. You make me extremely happy. I would like to spend more time with you. Would you..like to go to the park with me tomorrow and have a picnic?" Ash asks softly as Latias leans closer with Ash doing the same.
"I would love to, Ash." Latias responds in a extremely happy way and hugs him. Ash hugs her back for a little while before he moves away and looks at her in a loving way. Latias smiles shyly and looks into his light brown eyes.
"There was..something else I wanted to tell you Latias. For so long..I've thought about how happy you make me. I've thought about how beautiful you are. I've been wanting to tell you this for a while now. Latias.."Ash whispers as he leans forward. He places his hands on her cheeks, making Latias blush and her heart beat faster. She leans closer to him with their lips very close. He looks lovingly at her as he radiates love for Latias.
"Yes Ash?" Latias replies in a soft tone. Ash takes a breath and smiles happily.
"Latias, I-" Ash says before someone heads to them.
"Hey Ash and Latias, everyone is done with dinner! We were going to head home and..Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude." Bianca says as Ash sighs and lets go of Latias's cheeks. Latias sighs as well and Ash takes her hands and squeezes them gently.
"No..it's okay Bianca. We will be with you guys in a moment." Ash says as Bianca heads back to the group.
"I'm sorry, Latias. I'll tell you later, okay?" Ash says as he smiles. Latias smiles back and hugs the raven haired trainer.
"I know you will, Ashy. Let's go head to the rest of the group. I can't wait to see what you got me." Latias says as Ash chuckles. The two head back to the group and then they start heading home.
"I had a great time today with you Tia. I really hope you like what I got you. I'm going to head to bed now. But I want you to know, that I care for you. So much. I hope you have a good time tomorrow." Ash says as he kisses Latias on her cheek. He smiles and heads to bed as Brock and Misty were already in bed. Latias blushes fully and rubs her cheek before sighing dreamily and heads to her bed. She sees Bianca and heads to her.
"Can I have my gift now?" Latias asks as Bianca giggles and gets the box Ash had gotten for Latias.
"Sure Tia. You seem really happy. Did something good happen?" The young artist asks as Latias opens the box.
"Yes it did. Ash asked me out on a date tomorrow! We are going to have a picnic at the park! I'm so excited I can't-" Latias stops as she stares at her gift. Her whole face and ears go red as she lets out a soft coo.
"What did he get you, Latias?" Bianca asks as Latias takes the gift out of the box. When she sees the gift, Bianca starts giggling and Latias blushes more. Ash's gift was a plush Ash kissing Latias on her cheek with a heart around them. She squeezes the plush in her arms and coos as she slowly closes her eyes and goes to sleep.
'Thank you so much, Ash! I love this plush! I love you so much. I can't wait to see what we will do tomorrow.' The beautiful dragoness says as she goes to sleep.
