Boricua and the Flame Chapter 2

By JurassicFatt

Tasha's Pov, Oasis Club, 9:30 PM

Damn, this Oasis club is packed! Kiera and I just got past security and coat check. The line was rather long, but it was moving at a steady pace and we were well dressed. Surprisingly, they did not care about the boots; so long as we waited for them to dry in their, I want to say 'super snazzy electronic heating system' for 20-25 minutes, we were allowed in. We both ordered a margarita while searching for Nash and Holly. I told Kiera to take it easy for an hour or so since we just ate at Shed's BBQ.

That was probably some of the best barbecue I've had in a while. A little slice of Texas in Boston, go figure. We had a really nice server named Denise, who I'd give a 5/5 for great service and hospitality. I ordered a pack of short ribs while Kiera ordered a pulled pork sandwich. We both ordered sides of vinegar coleslaw and rice Krispy's, along with some Maine root beer to wash it down. Let me tell you, that sauce was amazing. It wasn't too overpowering but thoroughly cooked into the meat. Of course, I didn't actually eat the whole thing; I got just over 1/3 of the ribs. Kiera, being the ever so cute but also sneaky little fiend she is, asked with batted lashes if she could 'have some'. When I nodded, I grabbed a knife to cut the rack in half, only for Kiera to slightly push the knife a little shorter on my end. We stared at each other for a solid 15 seconds before her puppy dog eyes won the contest. She ended up buying me another sauce called 'Spicy Q' to make up for it, which was nice but way too hot to handle. I think I devoured the coleslaw to bring down the heat. All in all, it was fun and it was great being able to catch up on Kiera's work in AEW and ROH. I told her about my jobs on the independent as well, which she was keeping up with. We took a moment to enjoy ourselves before paying and heading here.

The main bar is a mix of brown wood and metal, although the blue and white lights moving on the dance floor make it seem electric. The bartenders wear black and green uniforms, smiling and joking around as they prepare intricate cocktails and margaritas. The scent of mixed drinks and fresh cut fruit fills the air of the bar. Most people are dressed nice, and bouncers, in their black and gray attire, can be seen at different corners of the club, surveying the area. There's also a second level with booths and tables, but they seem nearly filled up. Just then, I see some familiar faces call out to Kiera.

"Kiki! Tasha! Over here." says the 5ft.6 fitness fiend herself, Holly. Her black hair has been straightened, the long locks going down her back right to her hips. She has a white long-sleeved shirt with open shoulders, shiny black pants, and matching shoes. Her makeup is simple, bringing out her full lips and almond shaped eyes. She's always been 'pleasantly plump', as she calls herself, and never lets a man tell her what she should look like. Or what she should do. Holly has been working in retail for a while, hoping to move up to a managerial role. But she loves being active. Kayaking. Snowboarding. Toughness races, where you pay to crawl through mud, run up walls, and jump into dumpsters filled with ice water. Kiera and Holly both bonded over their love for sports and food while in school. I was a bit nervous when Kiera introduced us, but Holly nearly strangled me with her embrace the first time we met. We've been friends since that day. She texts me every so often to catch up, and I do the same with her. And with Nash.

Speaking of, the 6ft.1 collared shirt wearing dude right next to her is already smiling and laughing, watching as Holly basically barrels her way through the crowd. Nash wears a pair of form-fitting dress pants and sneakers. He's pretty cool, too. Nash also went to high school with Kiera and Holly, but was able to get into a college learning physiotherapy afterwards. Now he's certified and works for one of the bigger centers around Boston, which he's happy about. He works out regularly, although he's big on rock-climbing. We went with him once while in Atlanta. Holly was convinced she could climb K2 after scaling the rock wall, which only made Kiera and Nash laugh. He's rocking the bald look pretty well. The minute Holly finally gets within hugging distance, she crushes the both of us to her. Kiera and Holly cheer loudly, while I just groan under the pressure of her embrace.

"Girl!" Holly yells. "I missed you!"

"I missed you too, Holly!" Kiera yells back.

"Hey Tasha, how are you doing?" Holly asks. I smile while trying to straighten my back.

"Holly, I think you may have hurt her." Nash argues, causing Holly to turn back at him. "Look at her! You nearly strangled them both."

"Hush! You ain't telling us how we do our greetings." Holly says matter-of-factly, causing Nash to roll his eyes. "How are you, girls? Have you eaten?" Leave it to Holly to be the Mom of this group.

"Yes, we did. We went to Shed's BBQ." Kiera explains.

"Oh, that place is awesome! Ribs or sandwich?" Nash admits, turning towards me.

"Ribs all the way, baby!" I yell, causing Nash to high-five me.

"They were actually really good." Kiera cuts in, before we hear someone call Holly's name.

"Holly? Don't forget about me, now." a female voice sounds out, before coming into view. The 5ft.4 woman, wearing a nice pair of black Luis Vuitton boots, purplish skinny jeans, and a white top which contrasts against her caramel skin tone. She has this neutral makeup on her face, and her big blue eyes shine in the light of the club. She has a slight overbite, which honestly brings out her eyes and lips even more. "Hey Holly. Thanks for bolting away from me." the woman says sarcastically, her gaze focused on Holly.

"Sorry, Shay. So, this is Kiera and Tasha, the girls I mentioned to you. Girls, this is Shay Locklin, my friend from work." Holly says, introducing the girl with her hands. Shay shakes my hand, saying nice to meet you. When she turns to give her hand to Kiera, her eyes linger on her face and she slowly shakes Kiera's hand, going a little closer.

"Hi Kiera. Nice to meet you. I'm Shay." Shay says, her tone lower and smoother than before.

"Hi Shay." Kiera responds, batting her eyelashes. Wait, what's going on here?

"You know, you look a lot different than you did in Ring of Honor."

"You watch it?" Kiera asks excitedly, bouncing for a moment.

"Holly showed me a few pictures and clips of you in the ring. I didn't believe her when she said she knew a star athlete." Shay explains.

"Aw, Holly. You didn't have to say that."

"Damn right I do! You're a star, Kiera. And so are you, Tasha. She's a wrestler too, like I mentioned in my text." Holly tells Kiera, before turning to Shay to say the last part.

"Are you in Ring of Honor and All Elite, too?" Shay asks.

"Nah. Impact and loads of independent promotions for the moment." I state. Shay looks at me from the corner of her eye, turns her head down, then to Nash before turning back to Kiera. Hold up… did this woman just give me a side-eye? What the hell? You know what, maybe it was just a mistake, or maybe she's shy. I smile and sip my drink, ignoring that moment for now.

"I thought Red Velvet was coming with you, tonight. But hey, Tasha's here." Shay says with a hint of attitude. Okay, now I know she's got a problem. Listen, lady, I'm trying to be nice. You keep playing, it won't end well.

"Yes, and she's just as awesome as me! The Boricua Badass!" Kiera yells in excitement, wrapping an arm around my midsection and putting her head against my shoulder. The sudden move causes my heart to race, as I laugh and put my arm around Kiera's shoulders, making sure Shay has a front row seat. Don't think I haven't seen you eyeing up Kiera like a piece of flesh. Best calm down, before-

"Hey, why don't I show Kiera to our seats?" Shay suggests, causing Kiera to separate from me, her body warmth leaving momentarily.

"You guys got a booth?" Kiera asks. Holly nods.

"Yeah, but it's on this floor." Holly clarifies.

"I'll show you the way. Follow me, Hottest Flame." Shay says seductively, swaying her hips from side to side. As Holly and Kiera follow Shay, I walk behind them, my hand clenched and my breathing quicker than before. I feel someone grab my arm. Turning, I see Nash looking at me.

"Oh, Nash. What's up?"

"You see what I'm seeing?" Nash asks, pointing his chin towards the other three. I notice Shay letting Holly and Kiera get into the booth first, before taking the end, right next to Kiera. The act causes my blood to boil.

Pursing my lips, I answer. "Yes, I do." I try to walk forward, but he keeps his hand on my arm. "Nash, what the-"

"Have you told her?" he asks, looking at me while ignoring the other patrons. I hear Kiera and Holly laughing alongside Shay, clinking glasses.

"What?"

"Don't play me for a fool. Have you told her?"

"Told her what?" I ask.

"Tasha, you best be careful with that Shay over there. She's Holly's friend after all." Nash warns me.

"Nash, what are you worried about? I'm trying to be nice."

"But she ain't." I turn to him. "You notice that side-eye she gave you?"

"How could I not? She's been eyeing Kiera and making me irrelevant since we met her." I tell him.

"She's got some sort of mean streak. I'm not sure why Holly invited her. Maybe she doesn't see it." Holly you loveable but clueless teddy bear.

"So, what are you trying to say? Should I be more forceful? She's lucky I've bit my tongue so far."

"I know. Look, she seems nice but according to Holly, Shay's been interested in Kiera since she showed her some pics. And I know Kiera's still hurting after her breakup."

"That's why I wanted to take her out, tonight. Make her feel special again." I tell him.

"I understand. Tonight is as good a night as any, if you get what I'm saying. Just keep your head up, because I have a feeling Shay's not going to let you get a moment with Kiera. But let's get to the booth so they don't think we're making moves on each other." Nash says cheekily, walking towards the booth.

"You and me? What are you crazy?" I ask. He just shrugs.

"Listen, I dated Latinas before, so it shouldn't be a problem." Nash explains jokingly.

"Yeah, but you never dated a Latina from New York. We bring different levels of heat." I tell him. He just laughs before the two of us take our seats. We spend the next couple minutes catching up. Holly is trying to get us to sign up for some sort of Wipeout-style competition involving mud and ice showers… Yeah, I think a hard pass is in order. Nash has been trying to cut back on soda, and Shay's discussing why this club is so popular.

"Probably some of the best tracks in Massachusetts. And the drinks are great, too. Only place that buys fresh fruit from the farmer's markets and uses them right here." Shay explains, sipping on her drinks.

"What kind of drinks do you like?" Kiera asks.

"Anything with lime or peaches. I've loved those fruits since I was a kid and I pretty much will try any drink or dessert that includes them. Key lime pie, peach snapple, Schnapps, you name it. As long as they're fresh." Shay suggests, smiling at Kiera. Kiera smiles back, tucking a hair behind her ear.

"Okay. Okay, I can get behind that."

"So can I." Shay says smoothly, nudging Kiera and causing her to giggle. This little-

"Hey, I'm not one to brag, but bring on the Prosecco. Tastes just as good as champagne but is literally less than half the price." Nash states, trying to change the subject back onto drinks.

"I remember that one. Hey Tasha, didn't you bring us a bottle a year or so back?" Holly questions, playing with the umbrella in her glass. I nod.

"Yeah, two bottles for each of you, although you opened yours way earlier than I expected."

"That was good. Right before we went to Abe and Louie's Steakhouse." Kiera states dreamily. The four of us all reminisce about that beautiful dinner.

"You just wanted that incredible apple pie they had." Holly teases.

"And so, what? I work for it!" Kiera argues, which makes us laugh.

"Did you have any problems coming in?" Shay asks, changing the subject.

"Yeah, a little bit of air trouble. But Tasha was waiting for me when I got to the airport." Kiera admits, smiling at me from across the table. I feel my heart race again as I blush and sip my drink.

"Did she pick you up in a limo?" Shay asks.

"No. Just a rental with some comfy seats." Kiera tells her innocently.

"Well, as long as it was comfy. You can never know with rentals." she argues, turning to me before looking at Kiera again. "Where did you park?"

"Oh, we got an Uber. Didn't want to go through the bad weather driving."

"Really? Guess you need to read the fine print before signing off on vehicles these days." Shay says with a hint of attitude, giving me another side-eye. Bitch, I'm Puerto Rican. I will throw my size 8 boot like a flip flop at that fucking forehead if you keep this up. Nash must notice the tension, so he brings his glass down hard on the table.

"Sorry everybody. Sometimes, I don't know my own strength." he says, subtly eyeing my hand which is white-knuckling my glass. I release it and take a breath, before he continues. Nash tilts his head, looking at the DJ booth. "Hey, sounds like they're playing some Latin beats. Why don't you girls go dance? I'll watch the table." Nash nudges me, giving me a look.

"Hey Kiera, what do you say? Qanna dance?" I ask, getting up from my seat.

"Hehehe. Yeah, sure. Let's go!" Kiera agrees, asking Shay to move over.

"I'd like a dance, too." Shay says.

"No prob." Kiera tells her.

"Hey, I'm coming, too." Holly states, scooting herself off the seat with a little jump. Nash nods to catch my attention, then mouths for me to 'Go fight for her'. We walk to the dance floor, the lights shining in different directions to the sound of Enrico Iglesias and Pitbull's 'Tonight'. Holly jumps to the chorus, smiling and tugging on Shay's arm. Shay looks between her and Kiera, trying to make a move. Ignoring her, Kiera and I start moving in sync, jumping and swaying to the beat.

"Give me everything tonight!" Kiera sings. I follow along with her. "Give me everything tonight! For all we know, we might not get tomorrow, so let's do it tonight!"

While we dance, I take in Kiera. Her curly hair moves with her body, and the way she moves her hips is making my mouth water. Her makeup is on point and makes me want to kiss those lips of hers. She looks so good tonight. And so happy. We continue to match each other, getting closer, until the remix changes and Kiera starts singing the new lyrics. "Woop-Woop! That's the sound of the police! Woop-Woop! That's the sound of the beast!"

I can't help the roar of laughs that escapes me, Kiera following suit. Soon, Holly and Shay come closer, stamping and shimming to the music. Shay brushes past me. "Hey Kiera, mind if we have that dance, now?" Shay asks, to which Kiera blushes and nods.

"You don't mind, do you Tasha?" Kiera asks me, causing me to freeze up as Shay grabs her hand. Shay gives me the bitchiest smile I've ever seen. Not wanting to ruin the night by smacking her, I shake my head, watching the two walk a few steps away and moving their arms to the beat. Holly comes up to me with a nudge.

"Come on, Tasha! Let's have some fun while they do their thing."

Hey, you know what? I can always pick up where we left off in a bit. Turning towards Holly, we start singing and dancing to KRS's song. I let the next song or two take my mind away, but notice Kiera and Shay watching, the latter with a slight scowl.

"Yeah girl! Work that booty!" Holly declares, quickly spanking me. I turn and look at her.

"Holly? What the hell!" I say, laughing. She laughs alongside me. My eyes drift over, and I notice Shay is grinding on Kiera, pushing herself on her. I watch Kiera gently hold her hips, a look of arousal and confusion on her face as she sees me and waves. Shay looks over her shoulder, before giving me an eyebrow raise, as if challenging me. Oh, it's like that? Two can play at that game. "Hey Holly?" She looks at me, bobbing her head to the latest Reggae-Latin remix.

"Yeah, Tash?"

"Get behind me." Holly looks over at Kiera and Shay, her mouth forming an O shape, before smiling and taking two steps forward. I bend over, pressing my backside against Holly's pants. I feel Holly's hands grab my hips, every movement of her feet making her press more against me. God, I never do this… but if Shay wants to play, let a master show her how its done. By some miracle, Shakira's 'Hips Don't Lie' starts playing, which makes me chuckle. Staring at Kiera, I sensually grind on Holly, letting my body match the famous song. Holly's grip gets tighter, her front gently grinding back on me. I flip my hair and go flush against her, running a hand down her face and breathing in her perfume, before bending over and rocking against her again. Kiera's eyes go wide, her mouth open as she meets my intense gaze. Knowing she's watching me do this, I go harder, and picture myself doing this to her. I give her a sultry smile, which she returns momentarily. Shay notices Kiera's gaze and looks at me, her eyes going wide as she realizes poking the bear was a mistake.

"Tasha…" Holly rasps out, but I just keep swaying until the song ends. Once it does, I stand up, thanking Holly for the dance. "You thanking me, after all that? Nah nah! With the way I'm feeling, you're lucky I haven't jumped you." We laugh together, meeting back up with Kiera and Shay. I can feel my thighs burning a little, but it was well worth it.

"That was amazing!" Kiera admonishes, which makes me blush again.

"Impressive." Shay admits, her tone flat and emotionless.

"Thanks. We Puerto Rican girls know what's up, okrrr?"

"Do you think you could teach me how to dance like that?" Kiera asks. Images flash in my mind of Kiera and I doing this dance without clothes, which brings an erotic shiver to my core.

"Yeah, sure." I tell her, trying to hide the shakiness in my voice. As we go back to our booth, I watch Nash give me a slow clap.

"Boricua's on fire, tonight!" Nash declares, making everyone but Shay chuckle. We sit back down, this time with Kiera beside me, as Nash pulls out some gummies and a blunt. The five of us start to take hits. Kiera decides to do her special shotgun kiss for everyone. When her lips touch mine, it made my head spin. Shay grabs her hand while Kiera gives her one, letting the kiss linger, which Nash caught as well. I ball my fist and took a sip of my new drink. Holly asked Kiera to show her how to do it. Kiera went through a step-by-step process, using me as an example. Dear lord, thank you. Holly tested herself by giving one to Nash, before scooting closer to me. Her lips are soft, and she gives me a sneaky peck after the kiss, arguing it was to make up for the terrific dance I gave her earlier. We ask the bartender to bring us a water jug, laughing as the pot takes effect.

Shay talks about the club getting louder, and how they, namely her and Kiera, should get out of here. I, of course, decided to cut in, asking whether we could all come? Shay gave me a glare, before smiling and saying of course. "Here, let me just pay for our drinks." Shay asserts, going into her shirt. As she pulls out the bills, she 'accidentally' knocks both Kiera and my water towards me, the splash of cold on my face and shirt startling me. "Oh my goodness! I am soo sorry." Shay then takes some napkins and starts patting down the table, throwing me one to clean myself. My blood is boiling again. She fucking did this on purpose, just because Kiera's into me more than her.

"Shay, what the fuck?" Holly chimes in, starting to clean my shirt and pants. Kiera helps her, asking if I'm okay. "How the fuck high are you?" Nash tries to call over a bartender for more napkins, before getting up to go to the bar instead. Kiera and Holly continue to clean me, before I decide I've had enough. Maybe it's the fact that I'm high, but I'm starting to feel low and I really could use a bag of Doritos right now. Getting up, I thank Holly for the invite before getting up, scooting over her to exit the booth. "Hey, don't go. We were just starting to have some fun." she argues. Kiera gets up as well, but Shay blocks her path.

"You coming Kiera?" I ask, trying desperately not to blow up on Shay.

"I just need her for a second." Shay argues.

"Okay. 1. Alright, time's over." I say, making Shay give me another glare. Kiera looks at me, then Shay, before relenting.

"I'll be quick." Shay asserts.

"Fine. Tasha, can you give me a minute?" I give her a look of disbelief. I nod and walk away, calling an Uber while I get my coat and go outside. The crisp winter air brings me to my senses, as I wait for the blue Toyota on its way to pick me up. After everything that she did, Kiera's still talking with her. What the fuck?! Soon enough, Kiera comes out, zipping up her jacket and asking me if I'm alright.

"I'm fine." I say coldly, as our Uber driver arrives. We get in, not saying a word the whole ride back. God, why is she so beautiful, even when I'm mad at her? My mind drifts towards more dirty thoughts. Not wanting to act on them, I pay the tab and quickly get out, not waiting for Kiera to catch up.

"Hey, Tasha wait!" she yells, closing the door and chasing after me with quick steps. I get in, not bothering to shake my boots, and get on the elevator. Kiera follows me. "Tasha? You okay?" I don't answer. If she can't tell I'm upset, I don't know what to say. Tonight might have been the night. But that bitch had to go and ruin it all. As we reach Kiera's floor, she begs me to bring her to her room so we can talk. Following her, she unlocks the door and I bolt inside, going to get a glass of water. Kiera locks it behind me, and then grabs my arm.
