Marko is sitting on the couch watching TV for the first time in a week he was able to relax.
"Alright, you three, I'm going back to the house, Russo and Brandon are going to be here in a few minutes, don't try anything stupid, got it?" Silas says.
"I guess so," Janela says. Janela sits down next to Marko putting his feet on the coffee table.
"You okay?" Marko asks.
"Why you asking me?" Janela asks.
"Martini didn't try anything, right?" Marko asks.
"Nah, just real fucking touchy. Washed and braided my hair," Janela says.
"You gotta be real careful with those two. They seemed to have taken a liking to you," Marko says. "And since they don't seem...interested in Brandon then you have to be extra vigilant." Joey looks at Marko about to ask something when the door slams open.
"What would they be keeping from you, Russo?" Brandon asks.
"I don't know but they are!" Russo says. "They said to not worry about it but how can I not?"
"Maybe they got someone else to help out with Cole and they don't want to risk getting caught," Brandon says.
"Or maybe the person helping is someone Russo hates," Marko states.
"He wouldn't," Brandon says. "Would he?"
"Have you watched his YouTube videos about AEW?" Marko asks.
"But...Angels and Bryce," Brandon says.
"Bryce isn't his son," Marko says. "And with what Angels has said Cornette hasn't been exactly the best dad on the planet."
"Cornette? Are you fucking serious right now?" Russo asks.
"That's the only person I can think that would even remotely help," Marko says.
"Why him?" Russo asks scoffing. "I'm going to go talk to the rest of the group, don't fucking try anything." And with that Russo turns around and leaves. Tom looks out the window while the other three are talking amongst themselves.
"I may have put Maxwell in danger," Brandon says.
"What?" Marko asks.
"Foley, Russo called him and he refused to help. He asked who he was close to and I told him that Colt and QT were his sons and he asked who was close to Colt and I…I stupidly said that Maxwell was his son." Brandon says.
"How big is this body of water?" Tom asks out of nowhere. Marko looks over at him.
"I don't know to be honest, I'm not exactly sure where we are in Mississippi," Marko says.
"How do you know we are in Mississippi?" Tom asks.
"Nash and Hall told me," Marko says.
"I bet I could swim across…" Tom says.
"Ah, no, best not to try it," Brandon says. "Even if you could, you don't know the area, you could get lost and never be found. Or you could drown out there from exhaustion."
"Then, there has to be a boat around here somewhere I can steal," Tom says.
"Look, man, I don't know you and you don't know us but what you are thinking about doing could be dangerous," Brandon says.
"It's better than the alternative," Tom says.
"What alternative?" Marko asks.
"I…I have a feeling they might kill me," Tom says. "I'm collateral damage, they let me go, I rat them out."
"Hey, you don't know that," Janela says, going over to him.
"I'd rather try not luck then be murdered," Tom says.
"They wouldn't…they couldn't," Joey says.
"They know how screwed they are as it is, murder would send them behind bars for life," Marko says. "And something tells me, as big and tough as they might seem, they aren't. They are cowards."
"I'm all alone out here," Tom says. "They could easily kill me and none of you would know! I've heard the rumors about Gage."
"Nothing is going to happen to you!" Brandon shouts. "I'm going to make sure of that."
"We are going to make sure of that," Janela says, putting his hand on Tom's shoulder.
Russo bursts into the main house angrily. Martini is the first one to realize that the man has entered.
"Is it true?" Russo asks.
"Is what true?" Hayes asks, annoyed.
"Oh don't play fucking dumb! I know who you hired to help you!" Russo says. "Out of everyone, you pick Cornette?"
"He was willing," Hayes says. "Does it really matter who is helping as long as you are getting your precious little Cole?"
"He better stay the fuck away from me," Russo says. "When is he arriving?"
"He should be here tomorrow night," Hayes says. "If everything goes to plan."
"He's going to have difficulty with two people, you think he can handle it?" Russo asks.
"I'm sure he'll manage," Hayes says. "He always does."
Cornette sits in his car, his son Donovan in the passenger seat nervously looking at his hands.
"Do I have to?" Donovan asks, the paint from the show he just shot still fresh on his face.
"If not you, then I would be forced to get the others involved," Cornette says. Donovan sits up straight shaking his head.
"No…I'll…I will do it," Donovan says.
"Good, now wipe that stupid makeup off your face," Cornette orders. He truly did hate the character his son portrayed. Although he must admit the name was catchy and hard to forget, Danhausen. "Turn your phone off." Donovan nods doing as he says. If this kept his brothers safe, then he would do it.
