By the time Kenny and the Bucks get downstairs, Dolph is done interviewing with Detective Kendall. They slowly approach him.
"Everything go okay?" Matt asks.
"I mean…yeah," Dolph says. "It went fine."
"Dalton is supposed to be coming here soon, why don't we wait?" Briley asks.
"Sure," Nick says, sitting in the chair. They wait for another 20 minutes, Bryce Remsburg and Alan Angels both join them to welcome their brother.
"You know, it's kind of like we're all extended family," Alan says. Kenny grins widely.
"Yeah, I guess we are," Dolph says. They all look up when the doors to the hotel open. Bryce chuckles hearing Dalton complaining to Lethal. He stands up helping Dalton with his bags.
"Don't be an ass, I know you don't like him," Dalton says. "But all I asked was for you to fucking wait and you couldn't even do that."
"That's not true! I like your brother, I do, but fuck, man. You got to admit he can be annoying," Lethal says.
"And Dalton isn't?" Bryce asks, laughing.
"Hey!" Dalton shouts at his older brother.
"Just being honest," Bryce says.
"Anyone else coming?" Matt asks.
"Didn't ask," Dalton says. "I…" He pauses looking down. "I just shouldn't have left Donovan there alone."
"I'm sure he's fine," Alan says.
"Still, I may ask one of the others to bring him along," Dalton says. The rest just nodded their heads, they had learned to trust Dalton's gut feelings, they were never wrong.
"Ah, Mr. Castle," Kendall says walking out of the conference room.
It was nearing 5PM by the time everyone was able to come back together. The Dark Order and the Bucks both come downstairs to the lobby to meet some of the others to get something to eat. Bryce is pacing back and forth, Dalton off to the side on the phone, Angels on the couch also looking at his phone. Something was obviously wrong. Preston instantly goes to Angels sitting next to him.
"Remsburg? Everything okay?" Matt asks. Bryce shakes his head, the look on his face a mixture of worry and anger.
"Can't get a hold of Hausen," Bryce says.
"Or Cornette," Angels adds.
"Oh, shit," Nick says. "You don't think…he can't be working for them, right?"
"You don't know him," Bryce says. "Hausen will do anything to keep us out of it. Even if it puts him in danger." Bryce starts to pace again.
"Well, he wouldn't…actually put him in danger, right?" Uno asks.
"Nobody has seen him," Dalton says getting off the phone. "He always stays behind to help out…I shouldn't have fucking left him!"
"Okay, let's all just take a breath," Anna says. "How would he get your brother to do this?"
"By threatening us," Angels says. "He's not willing, I know that."
"So he's being manipulated by your…by Cornette?" Anna asks.
"It started when we were young," Dalton says. "Always stay obedient or we wouldn't have our clothes thrown out, or our toys destroyed. If we stayed obedient we were safe. Donovan will do what Cornette wants."
"We have to let Detective Kendall know," Bryce says. Matt sighs, he knew Cornette was fucked up but he didn't know he was this fucked up. Just as they are about to call Detective Kendall, Bobby rushes down the stairs with the computer in his hand, Ryder close behind him.
"What's going on?" Reynolds asks.
"Alarm at Cole's house was sounded, he was on livestream when the doorbell rang, the viewers grew worried when he didn't return as fast as he normally would and then the alarm was triggered by something," Ryder says.
"You don't think…" Angels asks, his voice wavering.
"It has to be, this can't be a fucking coincidence!" Bryce shouts. "And he isn't just going to let Hausen go after this! He's just letting…FUCK!" Bryce shouts in frustration.
"What…okay, whatever information you have, spill it," Ryder says.
"We believe Cornette is involved and is manipulating our brother, Donovan Danhausen, to help him," Dalton explains as he tries to calm his adopted brother down.
"Cornette?!" Bobby shouts.
"I'm placing the hotel on lockdown, nobody leaves," Ryder says. "Matt, Nick, do a head count or something, make sure everyone is here."
"Yes, ma'am," Nick says. Ryder sighs going over to the side of the room calling Detective Kendall.
"Ryder, everything okay?" Kendall answers.
"No, sir, you really need to get back here," Ryder says. "I believe a fifth kidnapping is taking place and somehow Jim Cornette is involved."
"Cornette? Alright, I'm on my way," Kendall says. "Who do you believe is kidnapped?"
"Adam Cole," Ryder says. "Bobby has an app on his phone that is connected to Adam's house, the alarm was triggered. I also believe that Cornette has his son helping him, unwillingly. His brothers are extremely worried."
"Which son?" Kendall asks.
"Uh…Donovan Danhausen," Ryder says.
"The second youngest," Kendall says. "Makes sense."
"How well do you know Cornette?" Ryder asks.
"I know enough," Kendall says. "More than I would care to. He wasn't an active parent for Bryce. And Dalton moved out at 14 to live with Ace, the other two weren't as lucky. They grew up with Cornette."
"They don't call him Dad," Ryder says.
"That's probably because they don't see him as one," Kendall says. "From what I know, Angels is afraid of him, and Donovan…well whenever he has to interact with his father he is obedient. Luckily he hasn't had to deal with him but I guess that's not the case anymore."
"Well, I've put the hotel on lockdown," Ryder says. "I'm having the Young Bucks do a head count, make sure everyone is here."
Just as Kendall arrives, the Bucks rush down the stairs, Colt and Mick Foley hot on their trails.
"Max! He isn't here!" Nick says.
"You checked the whole building?" Ryder asks.
"Yes! He isn't here!" Nick shouts.
"Why would they want Max?" Kendall asks. "Does anyone know where he would go?"
"He doesn't know the area!" Colt shouts. "He wouldn't just leave like this, not without a reason!"
"I'll try tracking his phone," Benjamin says.
"I'm sending a team to Cole's house in Orlando, we'll get to the bottom of this, I promise," Kendall says.
