DPOV-
I hadn't slept the whole night. The only thing that was in my mind was rose…
And that moment we shared.
Why did I even wanted to kiss her?
Because she is beautiful. She is strong. She is kind. She has a good heart…
Okay I have many reasons maybe I do like her but its just attraction. I do like her. But its not the one true love kinda story for us. And she's older than me, she could get any guy drooling over her. Maybe she's dating guardian Ashford.
Why would she even like a novice?
A impulsive novice who just ran away from the academy and now he needs to cover 2 years of his training in 9 months.
But now that im here… ill train nicely with rose.
Ill do my best. I really want to be ivan's guardian.
I took one glance at the alarm clock on my side table. It was 1:45 am (1:45 pm for the vampire world) I got up and got changed in my full black gym clothes. On my way out I pulled over a white jacket and took one of my favourite western novel with me and made my way out of the door.
I really needed to talk to mama right now. I misses her. I wanted to know if she was okay. If that bastard show up again. Although I was sure that he wouldn't show up, thanks to abe… I still cant believe that roza was abe's daughter.
One of the many more reasons you shouldn't fall for her. His father will kill you.
As I made my way to gym I saw my baby sister viktoria standing outside her room. She looked so grown up. My baby sister was a big girl now. I couldn't help but smile.
I really wanted to go see her. But I thought doing this after curfew would not be good.
I thought she was just out to take some air but it looked like she was talking to someone.
I quietly walked towards her building to see with whom she was talking to. Hey! Im her big brother. Its my right and my duty to see whose my lil' sister talking too.
It was a boy.
She was talking to a boy in the middle of the night!
I was about to go inside her building and bust them but then I heard the guy's voice.
"im sorry I left" he said. it was ivan. It was my fucking bestfriend ivan talking to my sister late at night!
Vika crossed her arms over her body and said "you should be." She sounded hurt more than angry.
What the hell was happening!
"vika… I missed you." Ivan said in a begging voice. He missed her? Wtf was even happening here!
"please forgive me. I really didn't wanted to run away. But I had too" why was he saying sorry to viktoria? My sister!
"no ivan!" vika's voice made me flinch. She rarely ever yelled. Tears were flowing down my baby sister's cheeks. Im gonna kill ivan!
"you just don't come here at midnight after 2 years and say sorry!" she voice had hurt and sadness in it. Did something happened between these two before we left?
"im sorry vika-" Ivan said but vika wouldn't listen. She stepped in clutched his shoulders shaking him.
"2 YEARS IVAN!" she yelled.
It was a surprise that no one had woken up.
But seriously.. what the hell was even happening. I was so clueless.
Vika continued "When I didn't find to the next morning I was so worried! I was worried sick! I thought that some strigoi took you. That something happened to you." She said crying "Ivan I was dying from inside. I was so scared for you and dimka. I knew that dimka would keep you safe but ivan… i was afraid that I was the reason you left." She was shivering. Ivan looked like he could cry any minute.
Ivan spoke up "viktoria you weren't the reason why we left. I lov- "
Waitttt was he going to say that he loved her!
Vika interrupted him. "then why did you left!" she yelled.
"I cant tell you that" he said.
"oh. So now you cant even tell me that!" she said and laughed humorlessly. I was actually scared of vika right now. "why are you even here ivan?"
"I came here to see you. I was in my room and I couldn't stop think bout you vika." He said and placed his hands on her cheeks and viped the tears.
I was fuming with anger. I wanted to kill ivan right now. Something was defiantly going on between the both of them.
"ivan I think you've moved on by now and you shouldn't be here at this time." She said. moved on? Were they dating?!
"I havent moved on vika you were always the one and still are." he said smiling. My vika? My little sister vika was his only one. I wanted to vomit right now and then kill him. " have you?" he asked
Vika looked scared.
As much as I wanted to kill ivan right now. I really wished that she say no. because if she said yes.. then that would actually kill ivan.
"y-yes" she said.
He looked hurt.
So hurt.
Ive never seen him so sad and hurt in my whole entire life.
But then he smiled which was forced ofcourse. "well then im happy for you." He said. he was so not happy.
Then he hugged her. I really wanted to go and shove him off my baby sister but I knew that if vika didn't wanted him to hug her, then she would do it herself.
"im glad you're okay." She mumbled in his ear. It was very quiet around us so I could here them talking in a low voice.
"and im glad that you didn't hit me" ivan said. she chuckled on his shoulder.
They looked so perfect together. But that wouldn't stop me from killing ivan the next time I see him.
they pulled back.
"you want something else" she said
"one last kiss" he replied
Oh no.
Oh nooo
They weren't going to kiss now, are they!
Vika didn't hesitate a bit and stepped in and kissed ivan.
Oh my vlad!
Oh lord
My besfriend kissing my sister!
Ivan pulled her closer and they deepened there kiss.
I looked away.
They pulled back.
"goodnight vika" ivan said smiling sadly.
He knew that she wasn't his' s anymore now.
"goodnight ivan." she said.
He turned around and walked away to his dorm. And didn't notice me. thank god.
Vika still stood there. Looking at him go, tears were running down her face.
Im never gonna forgive ivan for this. NEVER!
I looked at my watch. It was 2:10
Oh crap. I was late!
Rose is going to reject me as her student!
She will not teach me anymore.
We will never talk. Ever again.
With these thoughts in my mind I ran towards the gym.
But I saw no one…
I smiled in relief. Looks like im not the only one whose late.
I sat against the wall and opened my novel. Not paying attention to it but to the scene I just witnessed.
Were they actually in love before we left.
Ivan and vika had a rocky start. But they became so close. She would spend all of her free time with ivan. she made him a better person.
I always knew that ivan had a special place for vika in his life and heart. But I didn't knew that they dated. They should've told me.
My bestfriend should've told me!
I was so mad and upset but it all vanished once my new mentor stepped into the gym looking absolutely breathtaking.
RPOV-
~time- 1:55 pm~
Dring… Dring…
If any one thinks that my worst enemy is a strigoi. Then its not. Its my alarm clock. That annoying thing!
I picked up my pillow and started beating it. Eventually it fell off by side table and broke.
Great! 3 broken clocks in 1 week!
I noticed the time through the broken glass of the clock. It was 1:55.
Oh no!
I had practise with Dimitri!
I quickly got up and rushed to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I thought of skipping the bath but i really didn't wanted to smell bad.
Because Dimitri will be there. A voice in my head said.
No! Dimitri doesn't have to do anything with this!
I quickly took a shower but unfortunately my hair got wet. So I had to blow dry them.
I picked out black stretch pants which were sexy as hell. As per liss.
I wore a fitted white tshirt on top of it. They were the only fresh gym clothes I had.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
the pants hugged my curves perfectly and the top showed my awesome breasts. I pulled my hair in a low ponytail. Not wanting to show my molnija marks. i was actually grateful that my tshirt wasn't low at the back.
I didn't wanted Dimitri to see my molnija marks.
Fun fact bout me, which is not fun at all.
I have killed 16 strigoi starting, when I was 16.
We guardians have our molnija and promise marks on our neck (s)
But the tattoo artist couldn't fix 16 marks on my back. So I had 2 parallel lines on the 'x' and star marks on my body. Starting from my neck and since 2 months they have reached my back.
That's the main reason why I didn't cut my hair when I became a guardian. My mother always tells me to cut my hair or wear it high up so that everyone can see my marks.
But showing the world, the number of people who've killed is not what I wanted.
The guardians and the morois know about my long trail of molnija marks but I really didn't wanted Dimitri to know about my marks. I don't know why… but I didn't wanted him to think of me as an glorious and terribly strong guardian.
I looked at watch. It was 2:15!
I quickly grabbed towel, bottle and my phone along with my keys and rushed out of my room and ran straight towards the gym.
I slowed down at a distance before going inside. to catch my breath. I don't want Dimitri to see me hyperventilating! its okay rose! You are a teacher. Its okay if you're late!
I quietly stepped inside and saw Dimitri sitting, with his back against the wall holding a novel in his hand. It was open but his mind was somewhere else. I waited for a few moments for him to notice me himself. But to my disappointment he didn't. I cleared my throat.
His neck snapped in my direction.
He had worry all over his face. He look a bit aswell.
"someone looks mad." I said teasingly, trying to lighten his mood.
"i-im not mad rose" she said. oh how my name sounds from his lips.
"you kinda are, belikov." I said putting my stuff away.
He looked so handsome in gym clothes. He was dressed in all black! His hair was tied around at the nape of his neck. Huhhh! There's no way he's 17!
I told him to do some stretches before we start.
I noticed his book. It was a western classic novel. Dimitri as a cowboy? That thought would be highly inappropriate.
"so? What gotten you so mad at this hour?" is asked casually as he was doing his stretches.
"nothing." He said.
"well I understand if you don't wanna tell me about it. But if you want to. Im all ears." I said smiling.
He continued his stretches for a bit but then stopped and sighed. "its ivan." he said.
"what about him? Is he okay?" I asked
"yes I guess. I- I just saw him kissing my sister 20 minutes ago!" he said and by the look of his face he instantly regretted that.
My eyes widened in shock. That was so not the confession I was expecting.
"wha-"
"just forget it! It just slipped out of my mouth." He said blushing.
"wait.. you have a sister? Here?" I asked.
"yeah. I have 3 sisters. 2 back in Russia and one is a student here." He said.
"whats her name?" I asked.
"viktoria- viktoria belikov." He answered.
I immediately recognized the name.
DPOV-
What did I just do?! How could I say about what happened between ivan and vika.
"viktoria's your sister?" rose asked. She was smiling now.
"yes. Do you know her?" I questioned
"do I know her? Ofcourse I know her Dimitri!" she said "vika is such a lovely girl. And she is one of the best female novices at the academy."
I smiled at her words.
My baby sister was one of the best novices…
I couldn't be prouder.
"and what do you mean ivan kissed her?" she asked.
I know I shouldn't just tell anyone about my sister's love life but something tells me that I can trust rose. So I took a deep breath and told her everything.
"i- wow" she muttered after I finished.
"I know. I mean they should've told me that they liked each other. Im gonna kill ivan!"
" maybe that's the reason they didn't tell you." She said in a calm voice "Dimitri you are so protective of you sister. She really didn't wanted you to hate your bestfriend just becuz they are dating. Maybe they wanted to tell you but then you guys ran away."
Her words made sense.
She continued. "Dimitri I know that you wanna talk to viktoria but now is not the right time."
"then when's the right time." I demanded.
She came close to me and gently squeezed my forearms with her hands. A jolt of electricity passed through me at her touch.
"just look at all of this from vika's eyes Dimitri. She just met the guy she liked who came back after 2 years. She must be heartbroken. Confused. Love is painful Dimitri.
And now on top of that she really wouldn't appreciate her big brother lecturing her about boys. And love. And the same thing goes for ivan. shout at him all you like but not right now. They both need time." Her words made me relax and understand.
I nodded.
There was silence in the whole gym.
I looked at the position we were in.
Rose was looking at me with her head up. My head was bent down a little. Looking at her.
We were so close again.
"should we start practise?" I asked her softly.
She shook her head. "no practise for today. I think you are tired Dimitri. And you just came here, we'll practise tomorrow, after your classes."
"but I can do it today! I want to" I said.
"I know but before I start training you I want to see how you actually fight. Which I will tomorrow during your practise sessions with the novices." She said smiling and pulled her hands away.
"ok" I replied.
There were so many things going on in my mind right now.
"can I ask you something?" I said
"anything" she replied.
"are you zmey's daughter?" I asked.
Her eyes widened.
Oh crap!
I asked a bad question.
"you know abe?" she asked.
"yeah I met him in Russia. He helped me and my family a lot." I answered.
"he's my father" she said
"you use his surname… that very rare for dhampirs." I said.
"I do… I first met him when I was 18, before my graduation. We didn't had a good start but eventually we started getting close and now we have dinner together on video chats every Saturday." She said chuckling.
"that's nice." I said. it was amazing that rose had such good relations with her father.
"it is… I never thought I could have a complete family. I was practically raised by the academy. Never had my mum and dad around. But well now I have everything I could ever wish for." She said.
I smiled.
I really wished I could have a happy life like her.
With her…
I picked up my novel and bottle and we started walking out of the gym. "what bout your family?" she asked.
"well I have quite a big family." I said "my mama, my grandmother my three sisters; Karolina, sonya and viktoria. And then Karolina's babies' paul and zoya and sonya's daughter katya."
I never told anyone about my family. But with rose I was always comfortable and didn't mind sharing anything.
She had a big smile on her face. "you have a house full of women belikov" she teased me.
"yeah its kind of frustrating sometimes. But atleast I have paul on my team" I said
We both shared a good laugh.
I was standing infront of my building before in realized. Guess this was it.
"ask me for help anytime you want Dimitri. Im not just your mentor. I really want us to be friends, ignoring the age gap" she said smiling.
She wanted us to be friends…
"of course rose." I replied back quickly.
As she was about to walk away I quickly said "rose" she turned back.
"hmm?"
"there's something i need… but I would totally understand if you don't wanna help-" before I could say anything she interrupted me .
"just say it Dimitri."
"i really want to call my mom. I want to know how she is. I havent talked to her in a long time…" I confessed.
I thought rose would get mad at me and say no. but instead she smiled and said "I don't think calling her at this hour would be nice. But after our practise ill give you my phone and you can call her from that."
I was overwhelmed.
She was an angel!
"but international calls are expensive." I said.
"don't worry. Ill tell lissa to pay my phone bill. She always does as a little payment to me being her guardian" she said and winked her eye playfully.
"now go and sleep and tomorrow after class in the gym." She said in her guardian voice.
"thank you Roza" I said.
"ro-roza?" she asked.
Oh crap!
"its- it's russian for rose." I said blushing a bit.
"nice… I like it." She answered.
I smiled
We said bye and then she went towards her building.
She was the most amazing women ive ever met!
I went up to my room and crashed on my bed, falling asleep instantly.
and started dreaming of roza.
This woman is defiantly something else…

Next time we'll have a ivan pov again. I really wanted to give you guys vika's pov but Im still thinking bout' it. Next chapter will have more sexual tension in it. So if you guys wish, I can change the rating from T to M.
And also ill be uploading the chaps as fast as possible cuz I have to get over with this story before my exams start again.
Now what will happen when things start separating rose and Dimitri before they even start? And what will happen when ivan meets viktoria's new boyfriend? Will he move on or let vika move on?
