Chapter Four: The Dragon & The Sightless Owl
Libra Dohko's Point of View
By: Lady Mochizuki

Authors Note: Draken and Mila grew up thinking their names were Asano Eiji and Asano Kana, as their mother, Kamala's wish was to hide Drake and Owlet from their father, Gemini Saga.

I felt both Vittoria's and Kamala's cosmos slowly slip away, and a few moments later, twin shooting stars streaked across the sky as I heard Mila fuss, so I headed in only to find Draken had an arm around Mila's waist and Zoom cuddled close to Mila. I only smiled at the sight.

Sighs.

I feel the younger one will be my demise because I can sense a mischievousness that I don't sense in the older twin. Oh dear me, is Mila the reincarnation of Bella? Oh, Athena, watch over me and give me the patience not to strangle this young one.

Sighs.

Mila was about two months old when she started moving things with her mind, which sometimes would be me or Zoom. Then one morning, I woke up to find the twins gone. I looked all over for my charges in a panic when I finally lost hope. I felt Mū's and Milo's cosmos outside my residence. Mū told me Mila had teleported herself and Drake first to Jamil, and she teleported Milo to Jamil.

Hm.

Mū hazarded a guess, and I could see it made him envious. Mila had raw psychic powers equal to or greater than his psychic powers. I hid a smile as Milo hugged his goddaughter tightly, calling her a genius. Draken reached for his twin and hugged her too.

Hm.

I'm proud of Mila, but I scold Owlet for scaring me half to death because I honestly thought Dark Saga had found out his children were here with me, and he came and murdered the young ones. I knew after this, and I would have to be more alert, especially with Mila.

Sighs.

I watched as my little ones started crawling when they were four months old. Drake crawled while Mila scooted across the floor like her great-grandmother did. I watched proudly as the kids would race each other, and Draken would win, of course, but he would always hold up Mila's arm in victory, which made her smile.

One day, a week before the young ones turned six months old, Drake stood up and walked to me with the biggest smile while encouraging his sister to do the same. Mila took her first steps at six months, and there went the peace.

I swear this one constantly had me on my toes, while Draken was always calm as ice. Mila reminds me of Aiolia, Bella, Milo, and Kanon; all rolled up in one in energy and personality. Draken thankfully took after his great-grandfather and grandfather.

The little ones turned ten months when Mila pointed at me and blurts out "Papa". I did try to correct her, but she stubbornly shook her head and repeated herself. Mū, who came to visit us, told me,

"In the eyes of these young ones, you're their grandfather, and there's no getting around it."

I sighed in defeat.

"I don't think Master Shion would mind at all either," Mū added, smiling.

I sighed heavily, gave in, and encouragingly smiled at Mila; then she walked over to Mū, pointed at him, and said, "Unko!" Mū smiled widely. Draken looks at Mila and says, "Sissy."

Soon other words followed, and I had to watch what I said in front of the twins. I'm laughing out loud.

I found out about this time Draken could read stars just like the previous Pope, Sage. I encourage him to do so. My Dragon, as I often called him, while his twin was My Sightless Owl, aka Little Terror.

As my charges grew older, more and more, their personalities came out; Mila seemed to enjoy challenging my patience and seeing how far she could push me.

I would look out the window to check on the kids when I discovered Mila had entered the Bamboo Forest. I would go tearing after her to find the Little Terror wrestling with tiger cubs under the watchful eye of the cubs mother, or she is stalking me with the cubs, or I find Owlet talking with a wise old King Cobra or riding on the back of a water buffalo. I gather Mila took after Bella's twin sister Briana's ability.

On the kids' sixth birthday, I decided to train them more or less if the young ones wanted to become Saints of Athena or do something else with their lives. Of course, I was hoping it would keep Mila out of trouble.

Sighs.

Of course, that was asking a bit too much from Owlet. The twins sneaky little creatures had climbed to the top of the Great Lushan Waterfall and jumped off. I felt my heart go up in my throat as I heard two splashes and saw two heads pop up and swim to where I was. The little ones climbed out without any broken bones. I thanked Athena for keeping them safe and walked away from the children seething with anger.

An hour later, out of the corner of my left eye, I saw two heads pop up around the corner, watching as I saw Mila bravely walk in as she hugged me around my neck, as did Draken. I felt my anger disappear as I kissed their foreheads. Damn, brats remind me so much of Bella and Briana.

It was also about this time Draken and Mila found abandoned baby peregrine falcons, baby ferrets, and a black-colored female baby Chow Chow. I didn't say no when the kids brought them home. I figured taking care of these animals would teach the kids responsibility and accountability, and thus that's how Hurricane, Draco, Dohko, Shion, and Nala joined our little family.

I must say, though, it did calm Mila down a bit.

Of course, those looking in didn't know anything but just thought I was raising my grandchildren, Eiji and Kana, who lost their mother and were abandoned by their father. I didn't bother to correct them.

Of course, the training I gave the twins was games that'll keep their attention, and I soon discovered the animal companions soon joined the training as well. I also found the twins would cover up each other's weaknesses and strengthen each other.

Mila's godfathers brought her a fawn-colored Chow Chow named Shīzi for her seventh birthday. It was around this time the kids godfathers discovered their training; three out of six supported me, while three did not. Mū, Shaka, and Milo disapproved, of course, would be these three. The three were worried about Mila's blindness being a hindrance.

The twins challenged the three disapproving godfathers to a game of tag. Of course, the animal companions played as well. I had to laugh as the three soon discovered Mila was capable of taking care of herself, and she could handle herself more or less.

Of course, Shura was here and decided to take the twins back with him to Sanctuary along with the animals companions.

Oh, Athena, watch over my little ones, and I pray that whoever is stuck with Mila, please have patience with her.
