Chapter 5
Normal first night in Kramer House?
A big cardboard box is shaking and tumbling about; cursing and scratching can be heard inside until what seems like an eternity it tears open and a cloven hand reaches out and grasps the edge of the box shakily.
Raziel climbs out and right behind him so does, Kain; although he's more silent when he does come out of the damaged cardboard box.
"It's about time! Are you serious about keeping us locked in here for such a long time!?"
Kain shaking his head silently agrees. "It's been too long, authoress; I thought we were never going to make it out of there."
Reaching in Raziel drags out another game characters head. "And don't even let me get started on this guy!" Stubbornly resisting, Shinnok from Mortal Kombat stares out of the box pissed off.
"Blue wretch put me down this instant!" His head goes back down as Raziel shuts the box once more.
Sighing Kain continues. "For anyone that is still interested in this story we assure you there is far many more chapters to be written and this story will no longer be on hiatus."
Old Destiny walks in and apologetically looks at the videogame characters. Raziel looks away while Kain remains emotionless.
Listen all jokes aside it's been too long. I'm ready to start writing and get this going again! It's going to be a little serious for now and you'll probably get to know some characters better. From my opinion or point of view at least.
For anyone sticking around thanks a ton! And all views and reviews appreciated! Thanks so much.
Chapter 5
The first day in Kramer house had come and gone and while everyone had settled in their rooms for the night some still stirred and conversated amongst each other.
(Ariel and Nupraptor's room)
Sitting in front of a beautifully crafted wooden dresser with a mirror, Ariel was talking on her phone while filing her nails. Anyone walking by the room even with the door closed could hear that she was obviously gossiping and bad mouthing some other female characters. (Ariel was a human guardian as were some others. Somehow, I got the impression that she was prejudice with vampires also believing they were a plague.)
"No, I don't think anyone ever would. For goodness sake what's the difference?" Nupraptor could be seen in the background holding a pillow over his head.
'Why doesn't she go talk to De' Joule in her room!? We're right down the hall!' Breathing heavily from self-suffocation he looks over at his significant other once more.
"Um, Ariel?"
Not paying attention, Ariel begins to apply a light pink nail polish to her left point finger. "Hm? No, that's what I'm saying, Umah doesn't wear that much clothes either. Her and Seer don't… If anything, they're just in the series for sex appeal. Honestly, they weren't around long…."
"Ariel?" Nupraptor frowned at her comment. "I swear someone is going to hear you."
Stopping only to lift a finger of patience to him, Ariel continues. "No, De' Joule you played an excellent part; at least you pulled your weight in the first Blood Omen."
Nupraptor gets out of bed and waves his arms at her in hoped of getting her attention.
"Stop talking so loud; are you serious right now?" Frustrated the decayed balance guardian looked up at her green headed companion. "I am not being too loud; you are!"
Right on cue a bang could be heard on the other side of the wall; Umah being frustrated and exhausted from the day's events wanted nothing more than to get a good night's rest.
"That good for nothing two-faced…" Umah hissed unable to finish her insult. She didn't think herself to stoop down to a child's level.
Impatiently the tired vampire grabbed the comforter sheets and pulled them over her head only to throw them off a few minutes later. It was far too warm for her liking; especially since she was in her warm pair of lavender colored pajamas with owl imprints. She couldn't sleep anyway. Umah hated hearing gossip; especially if it had anything to do with the one's she cared for.
With nothing to do but listen to the guardian of mind and balance argue she got up and shuffled silently to another room within the next wing. "I wonder if he's still awake." She whispered silently.
Most of the rooms had their lights out, save for a quarter of them with a television light flickering beneath the door. Passing one of the rooms, Turel and Zephon were playing Halo and talking on their headsets to some of the other players.
EARWAX4U (Turel): "Hey my ride bro… my ride…. MY RIDE!" Clicking his tongue and eyes flickering from the television light, Turel grabbed his Mountain Dew can and took a big drink. He sighed knowing he would have to return to his job in three days; might as well make the most of it.
Turel among others had asked for emergency leave from their jobs when they had received "Foreclosure" on their homes and had to prepare for the big move. Man, what a set-back; he wondered how everyone was holding up.
To the side, (TacoBelln'mypants!) Zephon was trying his upmost to control his character without dying and still ended up being smoked out anyhow. "Damn it, Cell! I bet you wish you could be that cool in real life!"
"Hey, watch the trash talk, Zephon!" His older brother warned. "We don't want what happened with, Geralt." The pointy haired arachnid paled. "Yeah you're right… With his new game out and everything…"
There was a pause until, Zephon apologized to, Cell. "Naw dude I was just joking… Seriously… Yeah we're cool."
The door cracked opened revealing Sebastian in his sleeping pants and headset in hand. "Hey, do you guys have another one?"
Turel looked up frowning. "Again? Who was it this time?"
Sebastian came all the way in while shutting the door behind him. "No one in particular, I just fell asleep with them on…" He looked away admittingly. "Dude you were not meant for the headset." Zephon cocked an eyebrow in his direction.
"I can't help it alright?" Sebastian frowned while taking another headset from Turel. "Well you better this time; it's the last one I'm lending you." The long-eared vampire warned in which he was returned with a nod of understanding and gratitude.
"Hey," Zephon called out once more, "I'll play you once more, (BubbleBasstian)! After that I'm knocking out." Answered with a thumbs up, Sebastian left, and no sooner had he left did his character start to move and do obscene dances in front of TacoBelln'mypants.
Turel sat in front of the television for a while before lying back on his bed and looking at the ceiling. 'I guess it's not so bad; we still have each other at least.' His thought process was interrupted with a curse from, Zephon. "He fell a sleep again…" Sighing Zephon said his goodnight to, Cell.
"Night loser; yeah fuck you too."
Turning his attention to his brother after shutting everything off, Zephon threw himself in a beanbag chair before sighing loudly. "I don't want to work tomorrow."
"What time do you go in?" Turel looked at the digital clock on his dresser, 1:47 a.m.
Whining some more he answered lazily. "At 8." Turel rolled his eyes. "You have to get up at 7! What're you thinking?!"
"It's not my fault! Someone called in last minute and said they fell out of a hot-air balloon!" Turel sighed before rubbing his face in disbelief.
"Idiot."
(Nupraptor and Ariel's room)
They have been fighting for what seemed to the rest of the wing participants forever now. Whether it was a bad thing or not Nupraptor was losing.
"What I'm saying isn't a lie!"
"Well you're certainly not speaking of good will either!"
Nupraptor looked at the clock knowing very well they had been keeping others awake with their squabbling. The mentalist had sensed disturbances within the rooms down from theirs, as well as heard Lily cry to King Ottmar that she couldn't sleep. There would surely be hell to pay tomorrow.
Nupraptor knew he had to end this argument one way or another. However, his impatience and tiredness were getting to him; speaking without thinking is a mistake that every man suffers at least once. Especially with Ariel.
"I swear for a balance guardian you sure do make a lot of trouble."
Oh Lord no…
Without warning, Nupraptor was thrown out of the room and forced to find shelter elsewhere. Of course, every door he knocked on was either kept shut or opened to reveal an angry creature or human. And with what time it was species really didn't matter. At the end of it all he was faced with one last option…
Who should it be? Who is it going to be? There is some conflict here and there but what's a story without some conflict? It's a slow start but like I said we're getting back into routine. Thanks for reading everyone. R&R
