Kendall had gathered up as many of the kidnapped and kidnappers' family and lovers in the lobby.
"We have a press conference scheduled at noon," Kendall says. "We don't want to overwhelm the media so I am setting up another one at night. Then another one tomorrow in the morning. I would like you to pick who you want to represent you. It can be a lover, a best friend, or a parent."
"Is this just for…the ones kidnapped?" Matt asks.
"No, if the people connected to the suspects want to talk then by all means, you are welcome to," Kendall says. "I would suggest you write your statements down, speaking off the cuff in the moment can be dangerous."
"Thank you, officer," Matt says. He turns around to look at Brandon's family and lovers.
"What are we thinking?" Kenny asks.
"I do not think I'll be able to keep my composure," Rick says.
"I can't," Preston says. "I just can't."
"Leva? Peter?" Nick asks.
"I'll do it," Peter says. Nick stands up going over to Page's family.
"I'm just saying that Dax should have a say," Ethan says. "He should be involved."
"We'll ask him in a minute," DDP says. "Hello, Nicholas."
"Hey," Nick says.
"Ethan, why don't you go over there?" DDP asks, pointing to Danhausen's family. "You are the one he called after all."
"You sure?" Ethan asks.
"Go, Jules," Jake says. Ethan slowly approaches the family.
"Well, I don't know how I'm going to be able to keep my cool up there," Ace says. "I feel like my anger is going to bubble over up there."
"I understand, Papa," Angels says. He smiles letting Ethan step up getting in between Bryce and Dalton.
"I'm…I apologize if I'm overstepping, but I'd be more than willing to make the statement," Ethan says.
"You aren't overstepping," Ace says. "You love him after all."
"I don't think any of us are going to be able to," Dalton says. "Especially now, with the video and the truth coming out."
"I can do it," Ethan says. "Why isn't Shane here?"
"I asked him to stay home," Ace says. "Just in case. You never really know with Jim."
"Yeah, the gaslighting, the abuse he put us and you guys through," Dalton says. "Not to mention the cheating. You guys mind if I pop over to…Dolph?"
"Go," Ace says. Dalton could hear the worry in Dolph's voice.
"I just…I don't want him hurt," Dolph says. "But that's impossible isn't it?"
"It's not impossible," Kip says. "But…"
"But he was picked for a reason," Jerry Lynn says.
"Right and we don't know who asked for him," Kip says. "I just know that if I hear that piece of shit laid a hand on him while he was there…I ain't hesitating. Not this time." Dalton looks at him. "I need to get Penelope on the phone before we start writing the statement. She'd want to be involved."
"I agree," Jerry says.
"Dolph, hey," Briley says, touching Dolph on the shoulder. "Go be with them. We got this." Dolph just sighs but goes over to his lover taking his hand in his. They had a pretty big group.
"We thought we'd just…" Drew starts to say.
"Help each other out," Pat Buck answers for him.
"Well, I'm planning on talking to my Dad, trying to reason with him," Dolph says. "Maybe he'll listen to me."
"It's worth a try," Pat says.
"I just can't get that picture out of my head," Zelina says. "How am I supposed to go up there and not say…nobody else is here except for me."
"Hey, you aren't alone here," Dolph says.
"I know I'm not, but for the longest time it was just Aleister and me, against the world," Zelina says. "Seeing that photo, seeing how hurt he was…I don't think that's the case anymore. Buddy is going to need us."
"Two of us will be out there with you," Pat says. "If you need support you just let us know."
"Thank you," Zelina says.
Before the wrestlers know it, it is time for the noon press conference. They are all sitting in the lobby watching the TV closely. Kendall steps up to the microphone.
"Hello, ladies and gentleman," Kendall says. "We are currently investigating the disappearances of WWE and AEW wrestlers."
"Does this have anything to do with the statements being released by wrestlers about the abuses they endured?" One reporter asks.
"Yes, we believe they are linked," Kendall says. "We are releasing the names of the suspects and the ones taken. Please, if you have any information, have seen any of these men, please call the tipline. The suspects are Michael P.S. Hayes, Montel Vontavious Porter, Lex Luger, Scott Taylor, Bill DeMott, Truth Martini, Nick Gage, Vince Russo, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Silas Young, and Jim Cornette."
"Most of those make sense, but there's others there that don't have any relation to WWE and never have, what could their motivations be?" The reporter says out loud.
"The ones that have been kidnapped are, we are using their stage names here: from WWE, Johnny Gargano, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Heath Slater, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, Adam Cole, Ricochet, and Tom Phillips. From AEW: Marko Stunt, Shawn Spears, Orange Cassidy, Sammy Guevara, Brandon Cutler, Adam Page, Joey Janela, John Silver, Trent Beretta, Cash Wheeler, and ROH wrestler Donovan Danhausen.
