I was sleeping in a pure bliss until the knocking at my door started. I tried to ignore it, thinking that the annoying person will go away. But it didn't. as soon as I opened my eyes it felt like a 100 kgs on my head. It hurted like hell.
I pressed my palm to the sides of my head and groaned in pain. God it was killing me!
The party…. That bitch abby badica's party! oh fuck!
I drinked too much yesterday. Too much? you downed drinks per second! An annoying voice said to me.
I tried remembering what happened yesterday night… okay mind! Show me what all scandalous things I did…
Okay me in a purple dress… walking in that 'bitch-badica's' party… seeing abby flirting with ivan… he looking me- no! staring at me (not that im complaining)… me and ivan talking… me telling him bout my "relationship" with rolan… then him saying he wants to protect me… then I got angry and went to the bathroom and saw rolan making out with a moroi girl… then doing more than imagined tequila shots… then ivan stopped me…

Oh shit… its all in a blur. I cant remember it properly and my hurt hurted like a bitch.
The knocking at my door started again.
I groaned again.
"who is it!" I shouted, clutching my head.
"its rolan!" he shouted from outside the door. "open up! I have a terrible hangover and I left the tablets here." He shouted.
"yeah wait." I said and tried to get up but couldn't, not because of the pain but because something was holding me down…
I saw an arm draped tightly around my waist…
Oh fuck! Oh shit! Someone was sleeping next to me and it wasn't rolan…. And defiantly not a girl…
I slowly turned my face around to see who was sleeping with me. I was so gonna slap him right now.
I saw dirty blonde hair. I couldn't see the face cuz it was buried in my shoulder. I shifted softly- okay! I shifted very fast, his head fell on the pillow. I saw that face… the face I could never slap…
It was ivan.
Ivan… oh shit…
What the hell happened last night!?
I couldn't breathe… I mean im actually happy to see this man on my bed… but with me having no memory of yesterday and my BOYFRIEND standing outside the door didn't gave me time to be happy bout it…
And to top it off, he was shirtless… I spot his indigo coat jacket on the floor… did we?

I took a deep breathe.
"vika? Are you dead! Open." Rolan shouted.
Oh no what am I going to do…
Get up first!
I softly elbowed the prince charming sleeping next to me as I couldn't get free from his grasp, not with my muscles sore…
He did not even stir. I hit him again, a bit harder next time. No movement.
I was loosing it now.
I tried to elbow him but he did not woke up.
Okay! That's it!
I elbowed him. this time very hard. Put all my dhampir strength in it.
Fortunately he woke up this time. He did made a big 'oww' noise but I clasped my hand on his mouth. God he looked so cute…
Snap out of it! Your boyfriend is standing outside dammit!
He gave me a puzzled look. " shhhh" I whispered it him "rolan is outside…"
I slowly moved my hands away from his mouth and saw his slightly swollen lips. Oh we so did it. Dammit!
"good morning to you too" he said mockingly "do you have a painkiller! My head is killing me!" he groaned.
I slapped his arm "don't groan! Rolan is outside" I said, ignoring my own head which was throbbing.
"what is he doing here vika?" ivan asked.
"he wants pain killers." I replied in a low voice.
"HEY! OPEN THE DAMN DOOR ORELSE ILL USE THE KEYS!" rolan shouted from outside.
Oh fuck! He had keys! No way!
"yeah wait a minute… im- im naked" I lied.
"oh I would love to see that babe." He said.
I saw ivan getting angry but I told him to shut up before he could utter a word.
"shut up and wait." I shouted at rolan.
I somewhat managed to get up from my bed, ignoring the worsening hangover.
The sight of ivan shirtless on my bed my too hot to handle… but I really had to stop drooling over him right now!
"get up and go hide in the bathroom!" I whisper-yelled at ivan.
He tried getting up but I guess he had a bad hangover too. "I cant!" he groaned.
I stretched out my hand to him "take it" I instructed.
Apparently I didn't use my dhampir power enough cuz when he tried to get up using my hand, i falled on top of him.
I was over him now… over his shirtless body… oh vlad save me!
His arms were tightly wrapped around my back. Our eyes didn't move from each other. It would've been such a beautiful morning if I had my memories and rolan wasn't standing at my door.
"you know what vika! IM COMING IN." rolan shouted which startled both of us. I thought he was just bluffing but then I heard the door click open.
I and ivan looked at each other and then at the door.
In a millisecond I got up from him but my tangled legs in the bedsheet wouldn't let me stand.
"what the-" I saw rolan standing it the room gaping at us.
Oh great. Im so dead!
"what-what the fuck is happening!" he exclaimed.
Say something! Say something viktoria belikov!
"rolan its not what it looks like!" I blurted. Oh great! Say the cheater's line now. Well done vika!
Rolan looked at me like I was some crazy maniac. I finally stood up on the floor. Ivan was sitting on the bed.
"not what it looks like!?" he shouted. "he is shirtless!" he yelled gesturing at ivan. "his clothes are on the floor! And you are wearing his shirt!" he said gesturing towards me.
His shirt?
I was wearing his shirt?
I looked down, confused… I saw that I was wearing. It was ivan's shirt. The soft cotton was loosely hung on my body, it was kinda short, stopped at mid-thigh. Oh no-no-no-no!
I blushed.
"that's- that's not what happened." Ivan's voice cut the silence. Rolan looked at him with pure hatred on his face. I so wanted to punch rolan right now. "then what happened,zeklos?" he spat.
"vika was drunk so I brought her to her room, then she threw up and ruined her dress and so I had to give her my shirt…" as ivan was telling his story, I started remembering the events that happened yesterday… not just in my room, the making out in the bathroom. And our talk…
"why did he sleep here viktoria?" rolan's voice interrupted my thinking.
"i- I told him to…" I confessed.
" and why is that?" he demanded. Okay! That enough! He cant treat me like his fucking property.
"because he was also drunk and I couldn't let him go shirtless outside!" I practically spat to rolan.
He was more angry now. But his anger was not gonna scare me.
"you cant talk to me like this viktoria!" he snarled. Ivan sprang up from the bed and stood beside me "and you cant treat me like your property!" I said.
"oh vika… you don't know what I could do to you… wait you actually know it." He said and started laughing.
I knew that he knew secrets that could've ruin me… but right now I had to face him, for me and ivan's sake…
Ivan was boiling with anger, he moved forward but I held him back, grasping his arm.
"rolan we both know you arent going to say anything" I said in a oddly calm voice.
"and why is that?" he questioned.
I started moving towards him "face it! You need me… you need a nice and proper girlfriend. Who could put up the perfect act that we're in love… your parents love me rolan… and don't forget they just took you back because of me…." I said, starting to unwrap his secrets.
"now baby you arent also the clean one here…" he replied smugly. I tensed up. Ivan was her… he cant know this!
Oh crap!
I saw ivan getting confused. He really cant know this!
"listen rolan" I said in a calm voice " you go round shagging moroi and dhampir girls while I stay at the parties and pretend that we're in love… if you can have this.. why cant i?" I wasn't lying a bit. I wanted to say this to him for so long.
"what do you mean vika?" he asked.
"I- I mean that I cant stay in this thing forever. I cant do this knowing that you are out there making out with another girl while im alone. I need my freedom…" I said loud enough for the boys to hear "and im not asking" I added.
"okay." He said shrugging
"okay?" I asked in shock.
"yeah… until my parents and the world doesn't have to know…" he replied curtly. "but one wrong move viktoria and you know ill tell.."
"same to you rolan" I said.
"now! Will you please give me the painkillers!" he whined.
I went up to my drawer and pulled out the medical box which had all my tablets and put it on the bed. Before I could open it rolan and ivan both ran towards the box like 2 thirsty guys saw found water in desert…
Rolan quickly opened the box and started taking out the medicine chips and throwing them all around my bed, ivan did the same thing "is this the tablet?" rolan said holding my birth control tablet in his hand. It looked similar to the hangover one..
"no" I said shooking my head. I walked over and snatched it from him "its my birth control pill." I said and started going through the medicines in the box, ignoring the confusion on ivan's face.
"here it is" I chimed. Before they could snatch it I stopped them. I took out 3 pills out of the pack and handed one to ivan and one to rolan. I gave them water and we ate the tablet.
"I should go… but vika no one should know bout this…" rolan said.
I shrugged.
He walked outside and slammed the door shut.
Okay! So now we are alone…
I saw ivan opening his mouth to say something but I cut him off "did we have sex?" I blurted. Ivan's eyes widened. My face was prolly like a fucking tomato… then he started laughing.
"wha-whats so funny?!" I demanded.
"you- you thought we had sex?" he said between his laughs.
"we didn't?" I asked in surprise.
"no vika" he said, not laughing anymore. I breathed a sigh of relief
"why would you think that?" he asked.
"I- I don't know! When I woke up, we were just sleeping so close and you were- are shirtless" I said, my eyes travelling down his bare chest.
"im sorry I slept so close…" he said softly.
"don't be… im pretty sure I asked you to stay.." I said.
"you did…" he said, cupping my face "what does it means for us now?"
"I dont know… maybe we should…um try to-uh you- know!"
"you know what?" he asked innocently. Oh he knew what I wanted to say!
"make it work… between us" I said it at last. He had a big smile on his face.
"but I don't think you would appreciate a secret relationship…" I said not meeting my eyes with him.
"anything with you in it is good enough… I don't need us to be public." He said in a confident voice "not yet" he added, which made my smile.
"but I have a question.." he sounded curious.
Oh no… he's gonna ask me about what rolan said… oh no!
"why do you have birth control?" he asked.
Oh thank god!
"what?"
"do you and rolan… I mean did you guys-"
"oh god no!" I said " I – we didn't. we don't even kiss unless it is necessary."
"then why do you- is there someone else vika?" he asked quickly
"no ivan! there's no one… well except you and no I havent slept with anyone if that's what you've want to ask!" I was starting to get angry now. How could he even think of this? Me sleeping with someone else!
"and I didn't buy it or anything! Dr. Olendzki gives these pills to every girl! Its not just for birth control but also to build our menstrual cycle properly. For dhampir girls its important because we have many fighting events and classes. So accordingly we eat the tablets… understand?" I was sort of yelling right now.
Ivan was listening to my every word carefully.
"yes im sorry I doubted you.." he said softly and pulled me into a hug.
God… he was soo good. Such a gentle man.
"u know its hard for me to forgive you when you're hugging me… shirtless I might add." I said, my head on his chest.
He let out a small laugh.
"what should we do now? Should I go back to my room?" ivan asked. Oh he knew very well that there was no way in hell I would let him go.
"no." I said in a serious voice " im tired and I know that you are too, so we are gonna sleep for some more time. And I need you to hold me like you did this morning."
He was happy. Veryyy happy
"your wish is my command princess" he said and bowed infront of my. I giggled. I mean hey! Its not everyday a "royal moroi" bows in frint of a dhampir.
Out of my utmost surprise he lifted me up bridal style. I yelped in surprise.
"ivan lemme down" I said clutching onto his shoulders, afraid that ill fall. But he softly put me on the bed and drawed the duvet up my body. He got in with me, and I turned around, my back facing him. he turned the same way and encircled his hand over my waist and spooned me.
I needed this so bad.
The relax and comfort I found with ivan… I never found with anyone. And I never will.
He kissed my hair and we drifted off to sleep.
DPOV-
When I woke up from my nap it was 7:05. Oh shit… rose will be here any minute…
I got up from my bed in full speed and went straight in the bathroom and took a quick shower. I had to wash my hair because of the sweat… looks like they're gonna be staying down tonight.
After I was done in the shower, I started rummaging through my bags to find something formal.
I had a black suit but that would be way to formal…
At last I picked out black jeans with black belt and white shirt.
I combed my hair nicely. They were still wet but unfortunately I didn't had a hair dryer so I let them be it.
I strapped on my watch and threw some black converse on and sat on the bed waiting for roza.
She must be really tensed that today is her molnija ceremony… no she obviously had so many ceremonies… why would she be nervous.
It was 7:20 now… and I was growing kinda impatient.
After 5 more minutes I got up from my bed and searched outside my room, a lot of guardians were dressed formally maybe for the ceremony but I didn't found rose in the crowd.
I started walking and before I knew, I was standing infront of the guardian building.
"Dimitri belikov right?" a man called.
Oh shit… im in trouble.
"uh- im sorry I- I didn't mean to come but-"
"oh no worries, miss mazur told us that you can be let in if any kind of emergency." He replied politely.
"oh okay…" I said.
"let me show you her room." He said gesturing me to walk. I started walking… I didn't even know what im gonna say!
What will I say to rose?
This is so inappropriate.
The kind man dropped me at room 167 and walked away.
I stood there a while but after gathering all the fallen strength I knocked on the door.
RPOV-
The sound of knocking woke me up from my peaceful sleep. Im so gonna kill this person!
"wait!" I shouted. My voice was hoarse and sleepy.
I walked and open the door and met the sight of brown shoulder length hair and chocolate brown eyes… that to in a shirt.
Am I still dreaming?
"roza.." he said softly.
Oh damn Dimitri looked so nice… no rose! He's your student!
"oh hey comrade. Want anything?" I said and yawned.
"no… you had your molnija ceremony today…"
Oh fuck…
SHIT SHIT SHIT!
"i- what time is it?" I said, suddenly waking up completely.
"7:45 to be exact." He said trying his best not to smile.
"don't smile!" I scolded.
"oh shit! I must've slept! Overslept! Oh no-no-no!" I started rambling.
Dimitri grabbed my shoulder softly "its okay… you still have time, the guardians just started coming and well you can be fashionably late." He said softly.
I let out a small laugh.
"okay but I have to hurry up!" I started walking away but then turned back "you can come in…" I offered which I know I shouldn't have but him standing outside my room wouldn't look nice.
"no ill stay here. You take your time." He said waving.
"come inside. you standing outside a guardian's room does not look nice.
And you sitting inside a guardians room looks amazing right? way to go Hathaway!
He came inside my living room. I gestured him to sit on the sofa and mentally patted myself for removing my bra from the sofa before sleeping.
I ran to my room deciding what to wear. Black and white guardian outfit t would be suitable but I need to have this time's tattoo on my back so I cant go with a shirt.
I saw the backless jumpsuit which lissa got me for my last birthday. It was black with a suitable neckline and was backless… but hey! I need backless this time.
I quickly put it on and strapped my black block heels on.
Woahh… I looked good… I wore my gold bracelet that my dad gave me.
My hair were still wet… huhhhhh!
And the dryer is in the living room great!
DPOV-
I sat in a perfect position on rose's sofa. It was cream in colour. Her room was actually pretty nice… not like the other guardian's room, plain.
It had nicely painted walls and wall hangings hung on them. She even had a tv and speakers.
I saw her cornermost wall. It was filled with poloroids. I know its bad to snoop, but I wasn't exactly snooping, just looking…
The pics were of rose and her friends. One was a big group photo…
Lissa, Christian, Rose, Mason, and that green eyes guy from her wallpaper(standing close to her… again.) and some other friends. They were outside some waterpark. All smiling brightly.
The other one was of rose in a very beautiful red dress. And one of lissa and rose dressed as fairies, maybe for Halloween. Rose looked so cute as kid. One picture was of rose getting a piggyback ride from that green-eye guy, he looked oddly similar to lissa. One was from rose's graduation. She wore the blue robes (the one that the top novice wears) and the graduation hat. Her hair were flowing and she looked so happy.
The last one I saw was rose with Janine Hathaway and Abe…
It was taken in some big hotel. Rose was in the middle in a very beautiful brown dress, which matched her hair. She wore gold earring and wore makeup. Abe was dressed in one of his expensive suits with his cashmere shawl and signature gold jwellery. Guardian Janine Hathaway was even dressed in a white elegant dress. They looked like a perfect family. All of them were smiling.
Just then rose walked out in a hurry looking absolutely gorgeous in her black jumpsuit. She was searching for something. She bent down to look in some drawers when I caught the sight of her back… and I was surprised- no shocked!
Her jumpsuit was backless and her back was filled with tattoos… not just any tattoo… molnija and zveda marks.
She had 2 parallel lines of marks started from her upper neck to her back… she had atleast 8 marks on one side. Her promise mark was in the middle of her neck. She had a little Turkish nazar tattoo on the lower-corner side. But her molnija and zveda gave me goosebumps… I havent seen so many marks on anyone. I didn't realise that I was stepping back until I knocked something down from her coffee table. Her head snapped in my direction. She was so beautiful… but her marks scared me…
"what happened? Are you okay?" she asked standing up. She had her hair drier in her hand.
"nothing." I said quickly.
"are you sure.. do you want water?" she asked, with concern all over her face.
"no- no im fine. You should get ready. don't worry bout me" I said in a calm tone.
"okay it'll just take 5 mins" with that she went back in her room.
She had so many marks… molnija and zveda…
She never said anything regarding this to me… never flaunted it in front of anyone like the other guardians… she really was something else… beautiful and fierce.
But how did she even killed so many strigoi?
My thoughts were interrupted when rose came outside again. Her hair was up in a bun and she wore her black coat over her jumpsuit.
"cmon comrade." She said grabbing her keys and phone and putting it inside her purse.
I got up and followed her outside.
Luckily, guardians were still going to the location.
I started walking with rose.
"how was school?" she asked
"good I guess. Im lagging in all subjects but its okay." I replied shrugging.
"you done with your homework?" she asked raising her eyebrows
"what are you? My mom?" I joked
" no im your friend Dimitri…" she said softly "and your mentor" she added.
Yes… rose was my friend… so if I ask her, she wont lie to me…
"can I ask you something roza?"
"sure" she said.
"how many marks to do have?" I asked carefully.
I could see the colour draining from her face… "uh- a few…" she answered.
Okay I couldn't keep it anymore.
"I saw your tattoos… when you came in the living room" I said in one breathe.
Rose was stunned.
She tripped and was about to fall but I caught her with my arms around her waist.
I looked in her eyes… they were dark brown… so beautiful. She was so beautiful…
Her lips were so close to mine… nooo she's your mentor!
We were staring at each other until she tried to get up from my grasp.
I slowly got her up and reluctantly pulled my hand from her waist.
"i- im sorry I shouldn't have said that…" I apologized
"no… Im sorry you had to find it out this way… its just- I don't like showing my marks…" she said softly
Not like to show her marks? is she kidding? Guardians love to show there marks!
"are you serious roza?" I asked staring at her like she's a rare creature " guardians love their marks… and you don't wanna show them?"
She started walking again "yes because I don't like to be reminded or congratulated on how many people ive murdered." She said.
Wow… she really was different.
"im sorry I didn't know-"
"its okay… I just had to wear this dress cuz ill be getting my tattoo in the back… I don't like wearing things that show my marks too much." she said quietly.
"understood" I said smiling. "and you look great today." Woahhhh you weren't suppose to day that! That is not how you talk with you mentor.
She blushed a little. "thank you." She said
Her skin glowed in the soft morning light…
After a few minutes of walking we reached the academy's event hall. I've never seen any molnija ceremony, but it actually looked nice from the outside.
I was getting nervous second by second… ill meet so many great guardians… god I hope I don't trip infront of them.
"you'll be fineeee. Just relax" rose said. how did she always knew what Im thinking…
The security saw rose and opened the doors.
Woah….
The cermony looked beautiful.
It wasn't over the top. It had minimal black and white flower decoration with ribbons. And ofcourse there was a food buffet.
It was filled with guardians in black and white formals. Some moroi were also present.
Rose gave her coat to the lady in waiting.
"come on cowboy.." rose said lightly giving me a push to move forward.
Everyone's eyes turn to rose. They all smiled. She smiled back.
They all knew her maybe.
As we went by, I saw guardians staring at rose's tattoos in awe. She lead me to a circle of guardians, who were talking. Stan and guardian petrova were also in it, and so was mason.
When they saw us coming, they stopped their talking and smiled at us.
"Hathaway finally enlightened us with your presence." Stan mocked her.
She chuckled "you know I love to be fashionably late stan." She said.
Everyone laughed.
"guardian Hathaway mazur." One guardian greeted her "finally we meet."
Rose smiled "guardian bonville right? it's a pleasure." She said.
"this is my student, Dimitri Belikov" she said touching my arm lightly. I gave them a polite smile and nod.
"Dimitri, this is guardian petrov… guardian yuri… guardian specter… guardian bonville… guardian loveta… and guardian ashford and stan as you already know.." she said introducing me to the guardians. I shook their hands one by one.
Stan was kinda angry that rose didn't say his proper title. But I guess they always bicker so that was normal for rose.
They asked me normal questions on how to defend a moroi and other personal questions which I answered properly and correctly. I looked at rose, she was smiling at me with a proud look on her look.
"you got a very commendable student there mazur." Guardian Jackson said patting my shoulder
Rose looked at me "I know…" she just said.
Soon after the moljina ceremony started. It appears that some other guardians were also going to get tattooed. Mason went first. He had 1 kill. After he was done guardian Jackson went up, followed by guardian specter and guardian pace. Guardian petrov was on the mic, she was calling the guardians and announcing the total marks they got.
When it was rose's turn I gave her an encouraging nod.
"Guardian Rosemarie Hathaway Mazur" alberta said on the mic. Rose went up the stage and sat on the chair front of the tattoo artist. "blood master 7. number of marks, 16. Zveda and molnija included. One promise mark." she said on the mic. She had 16 marks? 16!
When rose was getting her tattoos, her eyes were closed. It must've pained…
She got off the stage after she was done.
After the whole ceremony was over everyone clapped.
Rose has a bandage on her back where the tattoo was.
We ate food, which was delicious. I filled my plate with a slice of roasted chicken and some side salad.
Rose wasn't eating anything, she was just standing there in a corner. I picked another empty plate and kept 2 doughnuts on it. I knew they were her favourite.
I went up to her. "are you okay roza?"
She looked up at me "yeah. Just tired."
"here I got you this. Eat." I said handing her the plate.
"Dimitri" she sighed "its very sweet of you but im not hungry…"
"oh cmon roza I know you're hungry. And these doughnuts will get upset if you don't eat them." I said chuckling.
"okay! Fine" she said grinning.
I ate my food with her in silence.
"lets walk." She suggested. I nodded.
we said bye to the guardians and got out after rose got her coat and put it on.
We walked side by side outside. Rose walked towards the forest at the back of the school.
The weather changed completely. It was dark in the sky. It looked like it was going to rain. There was almost no sunlight. Which was kinda weird but well… it was almost winter so shorter human days and other crap. But still it didn't feel right.
"it doesn't feel right" I blurted
"what doesn't?" she asked.
"the weather. Its suddenly so dark…."
"yeah it is… maybe cuz of winter. Montana has weird weather."
"it doesn't feel natural rose..." I said quietly.
"wha- what do you mean?" she asked, she looked alerted.
"I don't know… it feels like when I was in court with ivan. when we were kids." I said trying to remember.
"what about that?" she asked curiously.
"the court management changed the weather on special requests from queen Tatiana. There was suppose to be an event and it was raining… so they changed the weather…" I said.
"are you sure it feels like that?" she questioned
"its just… the weather changed by magic doesn't feel natural… its like… there's magic in the air…" I said, trying to place my words carefully.
"oh no…." she muttered.
"what?" I asked quickly.
"it means that someone has changed the weather… and as far as I know, there were no specific orders given for that." She said in a low voice.
"hey! Maybe it's the moroi kids… having some fun" I said.
"no Dimitri. Weather changing requires a group of skilled moroi. Air, earth and water users…"
"so you're saying that someone changed the weather without permission from the school authorities?" I asked. It was crazy. Why would someone do that?!
It was getting darker by second. There was hardly any sunlight visible.
"what do we do?" I asked her
"we tell the guardians!" she replied.
"come on" she said nudging my shoulder. I started walking, but I didn't felt rose by my side. I turned around.
"roza? What happened?" I asked and went to her side.
I saw where rose was looking…
There was a group of people walking towards us. It was very dark so I couldn't make out their face but they had red rimmed eyes. That glowed in the dark…
"strigoi" rose breathed.
We're in trouble.
"rose cmon! Run." I shouted to her.
"they broke the wards…" she whispered. Not moving from her place.
"roza please lets go and tell the others." I pleaded to her.
"Dimitri" she said in a stern voice, looking at me in the eye. "run."
"what but you-"
"run as fast as you can. Whatever you hear. Whatever you see. DON'T STOP. U get it!" she asked clutching my shoulders.
"I cant leave you alone…" I whispered.

"Dimitri you have to run as fast as you can. don't worry about me" she said in a calm voice.
The strigoi army was still very far from us. But I couldn't move… I just couldn't.
She bend over and took out 2 silver steaks from under her jumpsuit.
"take it." She said giving me one. I took it. My hands were shivering.
"Dimitri… run and tell the guardians buria they'll know what to do."
I inhaled… and exhaled. I cant leave her…
"im a guardian I can take care of this." She said and let go of my shoulders "now… you run. Take care comrade… and don't look back."
Tears started forming in my eyes.
"take care roza…" I said to her. And touched her hand.
The strigoi were coming closer.
"RUN DIMITRI! RUN!" rose yelled
And I ran. I ran… leaving her behind.
My legs were on autopilot. Ive never ran this fast my whole life. Im pretty sure that there were tears on my cheek but I ran.
I heard a scream. It was rose… my roza…
Don't stop! She said don't stop…. DON'T.
"DON'T STOP!" I heard her shout.
I didn't stop. I had to help her but I cant fight a strigoi. The guardians can.
I finally stopped at the event door and barged into the door.
Thank god the guardians were still there. Everyone looked at me.
Mason ran towards me " what happened? Where's rose?" he demanded.
"buria… ROSE SAYS BURIA! THE STRIGOI HAVE ATTACKED THE ACADEMY!" I screamed. Everyone froze and the a millisecond later started taking out there silver steaks "where is she?" alberta asked me .
"in the forest…behind the academy, fighting them." I said.
I saw them still standing there and I lost control over my words "GO! SHE'S FIGHTING THE WHOLE ARMY OF STRIGOI RIGHT NOW! DON'T STAND!" I yelled.
They all ran in different directions.
"you go to the dining room." Guardian loveta said.
"what?" I exclaimed.
"yes. The novices will be there. And you will stay there. Go!" she shouted.
I ran towards the dining room. I thought about ivan… oh shit. What about ivan!
I ran towards his building but the guardian stopped me "my bestfriend ivan. I have to find him!" I exclaimed
"calm down boy! We have secured all the novice and moroi buildings. He is in one of them. You go and hide!" the guard said.
I know I should've gone to the dining room but I needed to see roza. See if she was okay.
Bad idea. Bad idea. Bad idea.
I ran straight towards the forest area and hid behind the wild bushes. Just one look at rose! Just one!
I saw the guardians fighting with the strigois. Some were dead on the floor. But it looked like the guardians were winning. Then I caught the sight of long brown hair…
Roza…
RPOV-
Okay let me say this. I was scared. It was such a big battle. I was done finishing off my 6th strigoi. 7th here I come! My mind was still on Dimitri. Was he even okay?
And lissa? Oh god im such a bad friend.
I hope everyone was okay….
Thank god Dimitri sent the guardians in time. And I really hope he is hiding somewhere safe.
I saw a strigoi coming towards me. I threw a good punch but as expected he didn't move. I held my stake high and started scratching him on his face hands and stomach, trying to get a open invitation to his chest. Finally I got it and plunged my stake deep inside his chest. 7 down…
I then suddenly caught the view of shoulder length brown hair. Oh shit!
What was he even doing here?
Is he mad?!
We both saw each other. I know im suppose to be angry… but oh man I was so happy to see him.
I ran towards him. but a strigoi came in the picture. Oh fuck!
I speed up my legs. Dimitri was trying to hit him with my stake. But I could see that he was scared. He did managed to make the strigoi groan but that only got him more angry. He wrapped his hands around his neck and held him high. No no no!
I started running faster than I ever have.
I have to save him.
I have to save Dimitri.
I looked at him held high up.. with that monster's hand on his neck. He tried to say something which looked a lot like 'Roza'…
I took out my stake to plunge the strigoi from the back and surprise him but it was too late…
