Kendall had decided to just set up the equipment in the conference room. They all had headphones on listening to the recording closely.
"Fuck, Daniels was right about Nash," Kendall says.
"You think Luger knows about who Martini is and what exactly is going on with his child?" Natasha asks.
"I don't know," Kendall says. "He isn't exactly father of the year, especially not with Janela."
"We planning on telling them?" Natasha asks.
"We have to," Kendall says. "I don't want them to be kept in the dark. These people are my family. I've grown up with them, played with them backstage at Nitro."
"I still don't know how you got them to even sign off on you being on this case," Becky says. "You and Ryder have a personal connection to this."
"We keep it professional," Kendall says.
"Listen, I got to work on this," Benjamin says. "I got something in the background, but I need some space."
"Okay, then we'll update the others," Kendall says. Natasha, Kendall, and Ryder all exit the room.
"I guess, he isn't weak after all," Lethal says.
"Hey, guys," Kendall says. "Douglas, I just want to thank you again for recording the call. It was a smart move on your part."
"When I saw…his name pop up…" Shane says. "I knew that this could help you."
"And it did," Kendall says. He sighs, Langston putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Thanks, Langston. We know who is targeting who."
"Why would they do that?" Nick asks.
"To cause more torment," Kendall says. "Daniels, you were right. Nash is going to target your son. I don't believe he's been harmed as of yet."
"You can't know that," Kazarian says. "You can't possibly know that!"
"You are right, I don't," Kendall states.
"What about the others? Do we know why Maxwell or Cole was taken?" Jericho asks.
"I believe Vince Russo asked for Cole," Kendall says. "I'm still not sure about Max."
"Russo?" Bobby asks. "Why the fuck would he want Cole?"
"Montel and Martini both have claimed two," Kendall says. "Cutler and…Janela." Kip grips onto the sofa for support, Jerry laying a hand on his shoulder. All the color has drained from Nick's face.
"This is all our fault!" Nick shouts. "If we…we should have included him in those meetings! He would be here right now if…We shouldn't have shut him out like that!"
"Okay, hey," Kenny says. "Nicky, this is not our fault, okay? We were just protecting him. We can't change the past, sweetie. But we can help him heal from this."
Jimmy Jacobs walks through the doors of the hotel, his hair slicked back in a ponytail, his nails painted black. Sami Callihan walks in behind him carrying their bags.
"What's going on, Dad?" Jacobs asks. "It sounded urgent."
"Hello, Jimmy," Kendall says. "Good to see you again."
"Oh, Detective Ray," Jacobs says, grinning at him. "Am I in trouble?"
"No, no, it is nothing like that," Kendall says. "You…you want to sit down with me? I need to ask you some questions about your relationship with Martini."
"You have got to be fucking kidding me?" Sami says. "No, no, absolutely fucking not." Jimmy sighs turning to look at his lover. "No! Jimmy, we can't have you going back to how you were after that…so called relationship."
"If I can help the people taken, then I'm going to do it," Jacobs says. "I'll be okay. I promise."
"Jimmy, you mind if I go in with you?" Jericho asks.
"Sure," Jacobs says.
"Follow me," Kendall says, leading them to a smaller conference room. Jacobs holds onto Sami's hand tightly. Kevin Owens goes to stand but is stopped by Sami Zayn.
"They got way too many people there already, Kev," Zayn says.
"He's my best friend," Owens says.
"I know," Zayn says. He looks back at the three older gentlemen, who are pacing back and forth. Regal, Pat Buck, and Eddie Kingston all trying their hardest to get the men to calm down.
"How could you have known, eh?" Regal asks his brother.
"I should have tried harder," Nigel says. "Should have been more vigilant in the back. They were my responsibility."
"They were our responsibility," Whitmer says. "None of this should have ever happened."
"What exactly would you have done?" Pat Buck asks. "Could you have done?"
"I could have protected him!" Whitmer shouts. "I forgot just how…fragile he was. He ain't like Page or Strong. I didn't think he needed me as much. But now I'm realizing that he needed me the most."
"We were the oldest," Corino says. "The veterans. The ones everyone looked up to for guidance. And this was happening right under our noses? It doesn't sit right with me."
"We don't blame you," Zayn says.
"You did the best you could," Owens says.
"I'd argue you did a hell of a good job," Matt says. "Quit beating yourself up. You think Jacobs would want that?"
Jacobs sits down at the table, Sami sitting on his right, Jericho on his left, and Kendall in front of him.
"Corino mentioned that Martini harassed you backstage, is that correct?" Kendall asks.
"More like stalked," Jacobs says. "Started off just backstage, then moved to…everywhere, hotel, hotel gym, he even found my home address."
"Did it start off consensual?" Kendall asks. Jacobs looks over at his father, then back at Kendall shaking his head no.
"He slipped something into my drink," Jacobs says. "Really fucked up my sobriety. I was so high there is no way I could have consented. I kept saying no, until…"
"You gave in?" Kendall asks. "Dalton mentioned something about showers and baths." Jacobs gulps, clutching his chest, breathing heavily.
"I fucking told you!" Sami shouts. "Fuck, fuck, fuck! Okay, pull yourself together, Sami!" Sami moves Jimmy's chair so that it is facing him. He grabs onto Jimmy's hands, putting one hand on his chest and the other on Jimmy's chest. "Hey, hey, it's alright, Princess. You are safe. Can you feel me breathing?"
"Y…ye…yes," Jacobs says.
"I need you to breathe with me," Sami says. "Come on, Princess, breathe with me. In, hold…and out." Kendall and Jericho share a look. Jericho has to push the anger away, he can't get angry, it'll only make things worse. He knows one thing for certain, when he sees that bastard, he is going to wish he never laid hands on his son. Jacobs finally calms down, Sami holding him close. "He still can't take baths. I have gotten him used to the shower. The few times he did try to take a bath, he had a pretty bad flashback."
"So, you know everything?" Kendall asks.
"All of it," Sami says. "We've known each other all our lives. He tells me everything. Martini always made him shower or put him in the bath after they were done. Montel would join sometimes, but that was only when they were in the same town or a close distance. When Montel was involved, Jimmy was forced to dress up as a girl. Only when Montel was around though."
"That might be one of his fetishes," Kendall says, writing all of this down.
"Took him a long ass while to fucking realize that it wasn't consensual at all," Sami says.
"How long did this relationship last?" Kendall asks.
"It was off and on," Jacobs says. "Close to 8 years? He'd take breaks to 'play' with others and come right back to me." Kendall nods, peaking over at the door when he hears a soft knock.
"Come in," Kendall says. Natasha slowly opens the door.
"Sir, Benjamin found something on the recording," Natasha says. "You've got to hear it."
"Alright, coming," Kendall says. He smiles at Jacobs and Sami. "Thanks for all this information, it will help." Kendall stands up walking out of the room, back over to the large conference room. "What have you got, Benjamin?"
"I think it is Strong…and Silas?" Benjamin says. Kendall nods putting on the headphones.
"Did he say boathouse?" Kendall asks.
"Yes, sir," Natasha says.
"We need to start looking for properties on the water," Kendall says. "We put out an alert, all surrounding states. Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee."
"You got it, sir," Natasha says.
