...

"I owe you one, Alcor," said Izuku when they reached the camper.

As much as he hated to admit it this time he really did owe the demon. He doubted Eraserhead would have just let him go without proof of a guardian. Actually he was sure it was a miracle that Eraserhead had accepted Alcor at all. Being a demon the other had no identification or identity in the real world. Any background check would have come up with nothing and an alert most likely would have been sent to JP's.

That gave him pause. He really hoped that Eraserhead or Tsukauchi didn't do a background check for Alcor. Even a general idea of Izuku's vicinity would be enough for Yamato to send a search party. There were only so many places he could hide. Yamato would eventually sniff him out.

And then what? It was inevitable that he and Yamato would face off again. But, could he really face Yamato with all intentions to fight?

Looking out over the oceans water he knew the answer to that. No. He couldn't face Yamato the way he faced villains or heroes. Definitely not in the way Yamato himself would come after Rabbit. It would be in his best interest not to encounter Yamato again.

A sharp pain in his chest told him his heart didn't agree. A sigh escaped him. How long could he actually hold out on this? Loneliness was eating him up on the inside. It was what had gotten him in trouble tonight.

"Shining One?"

Izuku jumped half a foot in the air and glared at Alcor. He had forgotten the demon was there. To his surprise there was a flicker of concern in his grey eyes.

Putting on a false smile Izuku said quietly, "It's nothing, Alcor. Come on let's get something to drink. I think tonight calls for something stronger than tea."

"Shining One," chided the demon quietly but followed him inside nonetheless.

With a little searching Izuku was able to find the bottle of sake. It was mostly full as there wasn't many chances for him to drink. He was careful not to drink when he might have a visitor or have to go out during the day. Public drunkenness would get him unwanted attention.

Pulling out a couple of cups he poured himself and Alcor a drink. He handed one to Alcor before throwing back his drink. The burn went down warming him up. Alcor stared at his cup unsure of what to do.

Izuku ordered as he poured another drink for himself, "Drink it Alcor. It'll burn but its good."

"Alcohol, Shining One," frowned the man, "You're too young to be drinking. It's bad for you."

Izuku snorted, "I'm 35, Alcor. Drinking is fine."

"No, Shining One," denied Alcor with a dark look overtaking his concern, "You're in a 12 year old body. A child's body is not meant to consume alcohol if what I have gathered about your kind is true."

Izuku threw back the second drink and growled, "Regardless of my physical age I do enjoy sake and I will continue to drink. You can either drink with me or find something else to do."

Alcor looked mildly repulsed at the thought of the drink. He handed it back to Izuku before leaving the camper. Izuku stared after him with pain. He didn't mean to hurt the other's feelings. Not really he just didn't want to be lectured for his drinking. It wasn't as if he drank often.

Heat flushed up his cheeks as he downed the third cup. He would continue to drink until he forgot.

...

Mirai was unsure of what to make of the late teens boy in front of him. He had said his name was Alcor and that he was a friend of Izuku's. Or Rabbit as Mirai knew him. If he had to guess Alcor was seventeen or eighteen. Golden eyes narrowed in thought however. Something told him there was something more to this boy than what he could physically see.

Rabbit or Izuku as he was truly called was an interesting child. Most children would be ecstatic to meet their soulparent. Even more so when they found out not one but both were Pro Heroes. Yet the lad was immediately suspicious of them. His green eyes held pain that Mirai couldn't explain or understand. It was as if his entire world had been destroyed.

There was very little information on the vigilante and with a name there was even less on the child. He wasn't officially missing according to his file. In fact if his records were to be believed one would think he was still attending school. He wasn't.

Alcor restated forcefully, "The Shining One is drinking. And not the good kind of drinking. He won't listen to me."

Alcohol then. He could understand the other's frustrations. Izuku was only twelve. A child especially one that young, should not be drinking any sort of alcohol. He didn't know why Alcor came to him though. Mirai doubted Izuku would listen to him even if he left to confront the child right now. Though he had half the mind to do so. It was irresponsible for the child vigilante to drink. What if he was attacked? Being in such a state would put his life in danger.

Somehow he didn't think the child was actually that reckless. Mirai had seen the way he protected civilians. Rabbit had a good following online and people were gathering videos on his activities. Apparently he was the spark of hope within the community of South Side Musutafu.

Mirai asked quietly, "What do you expect me to do? I could take away the alcohol but something tells me he would just find more."

Suddenly Alcor was only a few inches away from him. Mirai startled. How had the teenager moved so quickly? Alcor grabbed the front of Mirai's suit.

"Take a breath," ordered Alcor coolly.

What? He didn't get the chance to ask as something swirled around the two of them. Then the two hit sand and a cold breeze hit them. Mirai stared out at the ocean with his jaw open. How the fuck did they end up here? They were just in his agency!

Suddenly Izuku jumped out of the camper his phone held out in one hand. In the other was a knife. Slightly glazed green eyes glared at the two men.

"By the Kazoo God, Alcor," shouted Izuku, "I fucking thought you were Yamato. What the fuck were you think using magic so close to my camper? What if I had summoned Byakko? You know as well as I do he doesn't like you."

Kazoo God? What the fuck was a Kazoo God? No focus. How did he get here?! Did Izuku say magic? There was no such thing as magic.

"No need for hostility, Shining One," replied Alcor, "I brought you someone to help you."

Izuku looked at him and paled. He growled, "No! Alcor I told you I don't need help and I certainly don't need his help! Stop trying to interfere with my choices."

With that said he angrily stomped back into his camper. Mirai had the oddest sense that he wasn't telling the truth.

"Shining One," whispered Alcor with a pained look.

Mirai felt for the older boy. It was hard to break through the child's shell. As close as Alcor was to Izuku it must have taken a significant amount of time.

Alcor's shoulders dropped and he whispered, "You can't do this alone. You know that but yet you're still taking it all on yourself. Why won't you listen to me Shining One?"

Then there was a swirl of energy and he was gone like had never been there. Mirai looked back at the camper considering his options. Given Izuku's mood he should just come back in the morning. It would probably be for the best if he let tempers cool. Wait... How was he supposed to get back to his office?
