A message to Arika, who keeps appearing just to spread hateful, nonsensical rants towards my stories. Look, all you have to do is not read the stories I write. You need to grow a pair and realize that what you're saying is not going anywhere and not spread hatefulness towards me and my friends that you've also done this to.

Don't comment on my stories just to spread hate. And as for this Jamison the Saluki Queen character you keep talking about, I have no idea who that is or why you're making assumptions that I did what you're saying I did. You're clearly delusional and have nothing better to do with your day. Do yourself a favor and stop with all the passive aggressive attitude because people are not writing these stories the way you want. It's called Fanfiction for a reason.

You're not god of this site, okay? People are not going to do what you want because of those hateful comments that aren't neccassary. I'm being as nice and as mature as I can with this so I suggest you do the same.

Have a nice day.

(Present Time/Day 3)

Ellie: Age 19

Enid: Age 20

They were speechless. Either could find the right words to say. But they couldn't wait around to figure it out.

"C'mon, let's get to the boat," Enid said to Ellie, gently pulling her towards a hole that was on the floor.

Ellie jumps down the hole first before

Enid, landing in some water that was below their feet.

They ducked in the water and swam underneath to avoid the soldiers above.

The two managed to get into the boat without being noticed, or at least they thought.

"Ellie, you navigate after you get the boat started. I'll keep an eye open," Enid directed.

"Okay , this better work," Ellie said, grabbing the cord that would turn the boat on.

Enid held her pistol in both of her hands, keeping both eyes of their surroundings.

"They're taking the boat!" a soldier shouted, seeing the two girls in the boat.

"Ellie, c'mon!" Enid shouted, aiming her Pistol and she fired it at the soldiers to keep them at bay.

"I'm trying! C'mon, work!" Ellie exclaimed

as she pulled on the cord, but the engine sputtered loudly .

Ellie then got the engine started and she began to drive the boat along the water. Enid sat down towards the front.

The water they rode on was rough a bit,

splashing on the sewer walls and on the boat.

They make it out, falling down a small waterfall in the entrance of the sewer.

They continued riding down a new rough path before landing in calmer water. "Okay, I don't think we're being followed," Ellie said, looking behind her.

"Good. Now, where there the hell's the Ferris wheel?" Enid sighed in relief. It was becoming dark, making it hard to see, mostly because of it looking like it was going to rain.

Ellie turns the boat into a flooded building , which looked narrow.

"You think it'll fit?" Enid asked.

"I'll make it fit. Don't worry," Ellie said, determined to make the boat squeeze through.

Once through, they found a place to park the boat and get out of the boat so they could look for supplies.

"Okay, let's see what we can find," Ellie said going into another dark room.

"Roger Dodger," Enid said, heading up a flight of metal stairs. She could see the Ferris wheel in the distance.

" Ellie, I can see the Ferris Wheel from up here!" Enid called.

Ellie ran upstairs to where Enid was, who looked through the window.

"Look. There it is," Enid said, pointing toward the Ferris Wheel.

"Good job. You gonna stay with me, Captain Enid?" Ellie asked.

Enid's rain-covered face became a shade

of red. She hasn't heard that name in years "You can count on it, Long Silver Ellie," she replied, making Ellie smile genuinely.

"I'm surprised you remembered that," the red-head remarked. "I can say the same for you. Guess we didn't grow out our pirate phase , haven't we?" Enid asked.

"Then we went into our dinosaur phase,"

Ellie said, going down the stairs to where the boat was.

"You're right on that one. Let's get in the boat and get out of here," Enid replied, following her.

Ellie went over to a chain that would open a gate that would get them out of there.

After Ellie opened it, they jumped back in the boat and float out and down a couple of small waterfalls.

When they made it to smoother water, the boat shuts down.

"Huh?" Enid said noticing that they weren't moving any further. "Are you kidding?" Ellie said, turning back towards the engine.

Ellie pulled back on the cord , getting the boat started again. "Nice job," Enid praised.

"Thanks , Let's get going," Ellie replied, driving the boat again.

They kept going through the flooded

city for another few minutes, eventually coming across more Seraphites.

"There's another boat!" One shouted , startling the two young women.

" Incoming!" a WLF soldier shouted.

"Oh, god!" Ellie exclaimed as guns gunshots through the rain. "Hide the boat over that bus..." Enid said, pointing in the direction of a bus that was partially submerged in the

water.

Ellie navigates the boat and hid it out of the enemy's eyesight. "Let's get these assholes," Enid whispered, making sure her gun was loaded.

"We're not splitting up this time. I'm not taking any chances because of your head," Ellie declared, keeping her voice lowered.

Enid didn't have the energy to argue with Ellie. "Okay... We stick together," Enid sighed, not wanting to aggravate her head.

Thank you for listening to me," Ellie said, in relief.

They made their way up through the buses and they make their way to a building.

One Seraphite approached where the young women were hiding which was behind a wall.

Ellie jumped up and grabbed the female

cultist.

"Don't," She hissed in her ear. as she slit the woman's throat.

Afterwards, the two move on through the building, an old office building that had been cleaned of any plants, all except for the windows.

A single seraphite walked in the biggest area of this floor, not seeing Ellie and Enid, who hid behind a desk.

Enid went around to flank him, knife unsheathed. As soon as his back was turned, she attacked him. She jumped up and stabbed him in the back, chest, abdomen and slit his throat until he was dead.

They move on after Enid kills him, taking Ellie's hand to make sure she was with her. Another was coming in their direction, bow and arrow in his hands.

Enid grabbed her from behind and slit her throat. "Go to hell, bitch," She hissed as the woman died from the wound.

The duo make it outside, healing thunder as they leave the building. A single gunshot was fired in their direction along with an alerted whistle.

Ellie and Enid hide behind a car to stay out of the seraphites cross hairs. The red-head pulled her gun out and shot him down.

They had no choice but to go back through the building, running into a few more Seraphites, to which the duo took down easily.

They make it back to the boat in one piece and drive it through and under the next building. After driving the boat a few more minutes, Ellie pulls into a pizzeria, which had an arcade above it.

"Okay, let's look around," Ellie said, stepping out of the boat. "Okay, I'll look over here," Enid said back, following behind Ellie.

Enid found a flight of stairs and jogged up them. There was a single corpse lying on an ice hockey table, blood was beneath the body. "Jesus…'' she quietly said.

She shook the feeling of shock and walked passed it, feeling a bit dizzy from her concussion. She sat down at a table and closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Ellie walked upstairs and saw Enid sitting at the table.

"You okay?" She asked, approaching her.

"Yeah, just a bit dizzy. I'm okay," Enid replied , rubbing her head. "We can wait for you to feel better," Ellie suggested. Enid smirked a bit.

"Thank you for caring. But I'm fine in all seriousness," Enid replied with a smile.

"Okay. And you're welcome," Ellie replied, grinning back at her.

Enid got up from the table and saw a Mortal Kombat II arcade machine amongst the other games brought a smile to Enid's face.

"Ellie, look what I found," Enid called out. "What is it?" Ellie replied, walking over to where Enid was and she saw that game machine too.

"Holy shit. I remember this," Ellie beamed with a grin of nostalgia. "I remember you beating my ass at this game," Enid said , remembering how Ellie whooped her ass when they played it in the mall in Boston 5 years ago.

"Yeah, I beat your ass so good at this. I may do it again sometime," Ellie mused, giving Enid a playful push.

Afterwards, they move on after the playful and nostalgic banter and focused on finding their way through this pizzeria.

"Enid, give me a hand," Ellie said, taking a hold of a cart that had heavy boxes sitting in it. Enid jogged over and grabbed the cart too. They were gonna use it to get to the upper part of the pizzeria.

They push the cart and eventually get to a weaker portion of the floor. Neither noticed the old, splintering wood below their feet.

The floor creaked and started to give out on them. "Oh, shit!" Ellie shouted, losing control of the cart.

"Ellie!" Enid shouted, trying to grab Ellie's hand as they fell through the floor, where abandoned arcade games were.

The fall caused them pain due to the height of the upper floor.

The sound of growling and also the sound of flesh tearing caused the stunned women to look over at what was making those disturbing noises.

There was a single bloater, devouring a Seraphite by tearing his throat out with its teeth, shocking Ellie and Enid. The gigantic beast, despite it's apparent blindness, stared in their direction and threw the corpse to the side.

Instantly, Ellie and Enid throw everything they had at it. They threw molotovs and some nail bombs at the beast.

It did some damage to the bloater's armor. The beast charged at them, swinging its

arms around to hit them.

Ellie manages to kill the bloater with a few gun shots. "Got you asshole," Ellie shouted as the bloater went down .

"Are you okay?" Enid asked, feeling a faint ache in her head.

Ellie puts her gun up in her jeans.

"Yeah, I'm okay. You?" Ellie replied, more worried for Enid than herself she puts her gun up in her jeans replied, more worried for Enid than herself.

"I'm alright. Let's get the hell out of here," Enid replied, looking around the fungus covered room.

They open a gated concession stand, which was their way back out to where they needed to go.

"Okay, back to that damn Ferris wheel," Ellie sighed. "Yeah , hopefully no more distractions.

They maneuvered through an office behind the concession stand and they went up some stairs. "I'm gonna wait by the boat and I'll open the gate," Enid suggested.

"Okay, wait by the chain," Ellie agreed with a nod. Enid made her way down and walked over to the chain and held onto it.

It didn't take Ellie long to find the source of the problem. A pipe was lodged in the chain, preventing it from moving. It was the way they tried before the floor gave out on them.

"Okay, give it a shot!" Ellie called when she pulled the pipe out of the chain. Enid grabbed the chain with both hands and pulled down.

"It's working!" Enid called out over the roaring winds and over the raging water.

Ellie jumped down to where Enid was and they climbed back in the boat. Ellie starts the boat and they drive out of the pizzaria, and onto the raging water.

"Almost there," Ellie said, trying to keep the boat in control. Enid held onto a rope that was attached to the side of the boat.

They make it to the ocean. There was nothing but open, treacherous water ahead of them.

The Ferris Wheel was much closer to them.

Just before they made it to the Pier, a tidal wave crashed into them, knocking boat over. It made the two fall in the water.

Enid swam to the surface, not seeing Ellie anywhere.

"Ellie! El-!" she cried out, only to have more water crash on top of her head.

She resurfaced again, coughing loudly. "Ellie! Where are you?!" she called out.

"Over here!" Ellie called out, but it sounded distant to Enid because of the water. Enid frantically looked around for Ellie and eventually saw her on the shore, which wasn't far from her.

She started to swim as fast as she could, getting pushed under by a few more waves, making her head hurt from the heavy impact.

When she got close enough to the shore, Ellie grabbed her by the wrist to pull her out of the water.

Enid didn't stand up right away, feeling weakened from having to swim through the treacherous water.

Her head agonizingly pounded, making her feel billious. Being rained on didn't help any either.

"Enid, are you okay?" Ellie asked, noticing that Enid wasn't getting up.

Ellie's voice was loud to Enid, which hurt like hell. "My head hurts... Please don't shout," Enid said, grabbing her ears.

"I'm not shouting, Enid," Ellie said, understanding that Enid's head had become aggravated from the water hitting her on the head continously.

"Let's get inside that aquarium," Ellie suggested, helping a sickly Enid to her feet.

They make their way up to the aquarium, going passed a playground that was used for kids before the outbreak and eventually found a way inside through a second floor window that was broken.

Unfortunately, they had to jump down to the floor, which didn't help Enid's head. At least they were out of the rain.

They waited a few minutes to move on because of Enid's aching head. Once she recovered, at least for now, she stood up and rubbed her head.

"You okay now?" Ellie asked in concern, gazing at Enid with a worried look in her eyes.

There was a slight ache in the back of her head, but she was able to tolerate it for now. She would need to sleep when they got back to the theater.

"Yeah, for now," Enid replied, looking back at Ellie, hoping to reassure her with a single glimpse.

They start to make their way through the aquarium, but they kept getting turned around. As much as they hated it, they would need to split up if they were going to find Abby.

Ellie detested this with every fiber of her being. But the place was too big for them to explore together.

"Be careful, you hear me?" Ellie said seriously, taking Enid by the arms. Enid embraced her old friend tightly; she couldn't help herself.

Ellie hugged her back, not wanting to let go. "I will. I promise this time," Enid muttered in Ellie's ear. "You better keep your promise. I can't lose you again," Ellie said, breaking the hug.

She'd be lying if she said she wasn't scared to be separated from Enid and those five words struck Enid's heart.

"You ain't gonna lose me. Okay?" Enid replied, heart racing away in her chest.

Ellie also felt her heart racing the longer she stared at Enid. Sure, she was dating Dina and loved her deeply. But she also loved Enid very, very much.

Enid wasn't able to help herself any longer. She kisses Ellie with her eyes closed.

She knew Ellie was with Dina and it was Ellie's choice to be with her.

After all that Enid and Joel had done, most notably, taking her from her savior in that hospital five years ago, Enid couldn't blame Ellie for breaking things off with her.

Their relationship had become strained from that point on. It was devastating for Enid.

Of course, she tried dating other people her age, but neither lasted long on the account of Ellie crossing her mind every time.

She had fallen in love with her best friend, but it wasn't meant to be under these circumstances.

Ellie was frozen for a second from Enid kissing her.

She wanted to push away from the elder girl, remembering she was with Dina.

However, she kissed back. It lasted a few seconds before they break the kiss.

Both women were blushing madly. "Okay... see you on the other side," Ellie said, face growing hot.

"Not if I see you first," Enid replied, a smile on her face.

The duo pull away and go their separate ways; For now.

Enid turned on her flashlight to see where she was going.

She did see some empty spaces where the aquatic fish and mammals were kept, completely dragged of water.

She heard muffled thunder from outside. To her, it sounded like an explosion that sounded far away.

After checking a few rooms, she felt someone grabbing her from behind her.

Naturally, she freaked out, biting the hand that was covering her mouth.

"Ow!" the person yelped, letting her go instantly.

Enid grabbed her gun and aimed it at her captor, ready to put a bullet between their eyes.

"Easy! Enid, it's me!" the voice, a familiar voice coaxed.

Enid's breathing became slower when she saw it was none other than Tommy.

"U-Uncle Tommy?" she gasped, lowering her gun.

"Yeah, kid, it's me," Tommy replied, smiling at his niece.

Enid rushed over and embraced him, knocking him back a bit. "Whoa! Take it easy," Tommy chuckled, hugging his niece back.

"I'm glad to see you," Enid said as she broke the hug. And she was glad to see him.

Jesse comes in behind him, gun in both hands. "There you are. Glad to see that you've made it. Where's Ellie?" Jesse asked, noticing that Ellie wasn't with her.

"She's somewhere in here. We gotta-" Enid started to answer, but three gunshots cut her off. The three hear the distant gunshots and run towards where the sharp sounds came from.

A few minutes later, the trio find where the gunshots was fired and they heard sounds of retching ten-fold.

Tommy opens the door and the trio see Ellie, on her knees, breathing as if she was going to vomit. Enid felt shock overwhelm her when she saw two people that Ellie had just killed.

Enid recognized those two from the day when her father had been murdered. They were there. One was Owen and the woman, much to Enid's horror, was pregnant. Her name was Mel.

She forced the nauseous feeling down her throat and focused on her friend. "Ellie? Hey, Ellie!" she called, but her voice sounded muffled.

Carefully, Enid touched Ellie on the shoulder. Ellie instinctively got to her feet and aimed her gun at Enid and Tommy, who held his hands up, thinking that Ellie was going to shoot him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Tommy exclaimed. Enid could see just how pale Ellie had become; All the color had left her face and her eyes were wide with fear.

Ellie was in shock, just like how Enid was when she had killed Nora the previous day. "Easy, Ellie... it's alright. It's alright now," Enid spoke softly to her.

Jesse came in behind them, gun at the ready. "I'm sorry..." Ellie whimpered, feeling dizzy and numb. She was billigerent before in order to get the answers she and Enid needed, only to realize what she had done.

She had caused this casualty and it felt as though the breath had been knocked right of her lungs. She could barely speak...

"It's all right," Tommy said, speaking as softly as Enid did. Enid looked down at the bodies again, feeling sick to her stomach.

She put an arm around Ellie and led her away from the bloody scene. Tommy helped both of them out of there, not looking back once.
