And we're back with the next chapter of Meta-Verse. In this chapter, after Nemurin gave them a message to find her in the Dream World, they set out to find her. But they run into another evil organization while they're at it. Let's do this, shall we?

Berlin
In Berlin, the Meta-Verse Agents, the Digidestined and their Digimon are saving the inhabitants from the forces of Borg Queen and Irene Engel.
"Alright, guys! Let's go kick some butt! Been wanting to say that for a long time now." Katy Caterpillar grabs out her Big Impact Gun and readies it.
"That caterpillar sure has something, does she?" The Borg Queen asked.
"She's a problem to me, as well as the rest. Kill them!" Engel said.
The Borgs then start to attack.
"Time to charge in there and kick some ass!" Tomoko Kuroki readies her dark sword.
"It's time to digivolve, everyone!" Tai says, and he and the rest of the DigiDestined ready their digivices. The little devices begin to glow as well as their digimon partners. Everyone digivolved into their ultimate level forms and readied themselves for battle.
"Resistance is futile." The Borgs began shooting at the ultimate level Digimon.
MetalGreymon raises his metal arm and blocks the shots being fired at him. The rest of the digimon scatter to try to avoid the gunfire. They then retaliate with their own attacks.
"Wing Blade!" Garudamon bellows as she unleashes a powerful blast of fire in the shape of a bird at the borgs.
"Vulcan's Hammer!" Zudomon slams his hammer onto the ground and a burst of electricity is shot out at the borgs as well.
"Fuck this shit." Engel then gets into the battlefield, then her eyes and mouth glows, then she shoots out a powerful beam out of her eyes and mouth.
"Look out, everyone!" Joe shouts a warning and everyone tries to dodge the beam.
"Damn. She's a powerful Nazi alright." Phosphophyllite turns her hands into golden alloy and she spreads it all around the Borgs, then she wraps it around them and breaks some of the Borgs.
ID-3 Hoihoi-san gets out of Riko's delver jacket pocket and she runs fast, with her katana in hand. She jumps up real high, then she gets on one Borg and slashes him in the neck, then she goes onto hopping on more Borgs and slashing them off.
"We need to try to go after that Bog Queen," Tai said. "Why don't most of us try to go after the Borgs and we'll send in a few more to attack the Queen?" he said.
"That probably won't be a bad idea." Katy shoots one of the Borgs with the Big Impact Gun. "Go and do that."
"I'll definitely send MetalGreymon to attack the Queen," he continued. "Anyone else want to join me?"
"I'll go with you, Tai," Sora said.
He nodded. "Great, the rest of you, hang back and deal with those Borgs."
"You can count on us for that." Reg said.
With the plan set, the team got to work. The DigiDestined that were staying behind cleared a path for MetalGreymon and Garudamon to get in close. WIth their partners riding on their backs, the two ultimate level digimon charged for the Borg Queen.
"Giga Blaster!" MetalGreymon cried out as he fired twin missiles from his chest.
"Wing Blade!" Garudamon joined in with a blast of fire energy. The two attacks were aimed directly at the Queen.
The Borg Queen absorbed the Wing Blade and grabbed the Giga Blaster. "I thought I told you before, I am remade." She then throws the Giga Blaster back at them.
Surprised by her grabbing the missile and hurling it back at them, the two couldn't scramble away fast enough and were blasted by the missile. The two were sent hurtling back from the impact, crashing to the ground below.
"Dang, I forgot she could do that," Tai said, remembering how the Queen was able to absorb attacks. He should have figured that a remake could do the same.
"What now?" Mimi asked.
"It seems like we're almost done with these Borgs here." Nanachi shot at one of them.
"I think you have to figure out more than you think." The Borg Queen said.
Engel gritted her teeth after seeing that they're winning. "Retreat for now. We will be back."
The Borgs then gathered up and left with the Borg Queen and Engel, and they retreated.
"Oh yeah! We're the best superhero organization in town! YOW!" Milk Chan winked.
"Yeah! No one can beat us," Tai cheered.
"The question now is, where will they attack next?" Joe said.
"Let's not worry about that too much until the time comes. For now, mission accomplished. We saved the civilians of Berlin, so we're good for now." Paiman puts up his tablet.
"I say we go home and get some rest," Mimi said. "The digimon are exhausted."
The digimon reverted back to their rookie levels and walked back over to their human partners, looking ready to fall asleep where they were standing.
Katy crawls up to the Digimon. "You're still doing a good job out there. Just keep it up."
The digimon all smiled at that and Agumon said with a yawn, "Thanks, but can we get something to eat? I'm starving!"
"I say we should do that. Anybody up for some burgers? I'll pay for it." Milk said.
"Hope you have a lot of money, Milk," Matt joked. "These guys eat a lot!"
"Almost kind of reminds me of Street Sharks. I'll tell you who they are later." Milk said.
"Ooba, are we ready to head out?" Flandre came to them.
"Yeah, we are." Katy said.
Flandre nodded. "Then let's head on."
They then went to the van truck, then they got in. It drove off. Someone was watching them from afar.
"So…they managed. Hmm. I wonder how they'll manage when they see that one of the 12 Sisters is still alive after all that panic back in Planet Graceland." She snickered.

Meta-Verse Department Agency
A day later, back in the Meta-Verse Department Agency, we see the Digidestined and their Digimon in the apartment center, chilling out for a while. Hoihoi-san does her own thing with cleaning up the center. Milk decided to come over and do some Mario Kart.
The kids were taking turns playing Mario Kart with Milk while the Digimon just watched. They were too scared that their claws would break the controllers.
"When do you think Irene and those Borgs are gonna show up again?" Tai asked as he was in last place in Mario Kart. He used a blue shell in the hopes of gaining some ground.
"That varies. They aren't the only ones that we deal with. Most of the time we almost deal with random bad guys anymore." Milk gets hit with a green shell. "Goddammit."
"Man, you guys sure have your work cut out for you," T.K. said as he slipped from third place to fourth place as he slid on a banana. "Dang it! I was just catching up."
"I'm thinking I'm not doing good either." Milk saw that she was in fifth place.
Mimi cheered as she crossed the finish line. "Yay! First place again."
"That's like, the third time now!" Sora complained. "Hand the controller to Joe now. At least the rest of us will win then."
"Hey!" Joe shouted indignantly.
Milk laughed. "Joe's a loser. Joe's a loser."
"I'm better at Smash Bros. anyway," he grumbled to himself as he took the controller from Mimi and chose his go-to character; Donkey Kong.
"Seriously? The big ape himself?" Milk nodded. "Not a bad choice. I'm going with Waluigi."
Tai went with Mario and Sora picked Yoshi. With their choices made, they began the race again.
"Oh yeah." Milk tries to get herself into first place if she can.
But then, everything shut down.
"What the fuck? We just began the race!" Milk complained.
"Who turned out the lights?" Raggedy Ann wondered.
The kids pulled out their cell phones and used their flashlight functions to give them some light. "Did we blow a fuse or something?" Sora said.
Then, the TV screen turned back on, but this time, revealing a girl.
This girl has long blonde hair that she wears in low pigtails, with a smaller pigtail atop her head and light purple eyes. She has white cloud creatures coming out of her hair. She wears an oversized long-sleeve pajamas with bunny faces and clouds with faces on it and white socks. This is Nemurin.
"I'm glad I can get through here through the dream world. Hello to you all. Sorry for the interruption. My name is Nemurin. And I am, in fact, a Magical Girl."
"Why are you here?" Kari asked.
"I have come to tell you that in about two days, two other realities will come to you." Nemurin explains.
"Two other realities?" Agumon asked. "Do you mean we'll be seeing some newcomers?"
Nemurin nodded. "That is correct."
"Do you know just what these realities will be?" Tai asked.
"One has a Reg. And one has Pokemon. Does that answer your question?" Nemurin asked.
"Another Reg?" Joe asked. "And Pokemon? Isn't that just a show and trading cards?"
"Pokemon do exist in some realities." Nemurin said.
"Hopefully we won't have to deal with Team Rocket as well as the Borgs," Sora said.
Nemurin nodded.
"Where are you right now?" Milk asked.
"I am actually dead. In the dream world. I can't seem to escape this place. So, communicating through this TV here is a best bet for now." Nemurin said.
"Is there a way that we can get you out of that dream world?" Tai asked.
Nemurin snickered. "Like you can try. But, I would like to see you find a way to get me out of this place. It'll be like reviving me from the dead."
"We will find a way to get you out of the dream world. Promise." Ann said.
Nemurin nodded. "That's all I was wanting to say for now. I might as well get myself some good night sleep for a while. See you again soon."
The TV screen then turns off.
Silence
Everything went back to normal as the power turned back on. But, unfortunately, and ironically, the CPUs have won the race.
"What the hell?!" Milk saw that they were beaten. "That's cheating!"
"I mean, I guess it isn't cheating if our characters just weren't moving," Tai chuckled, but then turned serious again. "Still, I'm really surprised by that message. More realities are coming our way, huh?"
Reg then entered the room, and saw that he missed something. "Um, did something happen here?"
"You bet, get a load of this," Tai then explained everything to Reg. "She said something about another you."
Reg looked at Tai for a moment, then facefaulted. "Not again. I did meet another me before, now a third me? When will this quit?" He shook his head.
"Dang, how many Regs are there in the universe?" Mimi chuckled.
"I wouldn't know." Reg said. "Trust me, I don't know."
"Well, the multiverse is filled with mysteries, and filled with maybe another us. Don't know how many us there is." Ann said.
"It's almost strange to think that there could be multiple forms of us running around out there and having completely different adventures than ours," Izzy pondered aloud.
"You bet." Milk nodded.
"I did not see the Pokemon reality coming. I did not foresaw that. That's something new." Hoihoi-san then thinks to herself.
"It's gonna be crazy having both Digimon and Pokemon running around here," Tai said. "Wonder if I can get me a Charmander."
"For real?" Then, to their surprise, except for Reg, Ann and Hoihoi-san, Pikachu then came in. "Seriously? Would you even catch one?"
"One can hope," he said. Then he turned to Pikachu. "Is that a real Pikachu?"
"I sure am. Been hearing that a reality with, maybe another me, is coming. Am I hearing this correctly?" Pikachu asked.
Tai nodded. "You sure did, but I thought Pikachus could only say their names? Did you teach yourself to talk like Meowth did in the show?"
Pikachu sighed. "I sure did." He nodded. "I mean, some Pokemon did teach themselves to speak your language. Not just me."
"Are there other Pokemon here too?" T.K. asked excitedly.
Pikachu nodded. "I know there is Celebi, an Alolan Vulpix, Magearna, Jirachi, Arcanine, Plusle, Minun…I think that's about it."
"That's so cool! I can't wait to meet them all," Kari said happily. She especially wanted to see the Alolan Vulpix as that was one of her favorites.
"Though the Vulpix has an actual name. Her name is Snowy." Pikachu said.
"I'd love to meet Snowy," Kari replied. "Alolan Vulpix are so cute!"
"Well, it seems like she caught up with Pokemon Sun and Moon." Milk said.
Ann nodded, then turned to particularly no one. "Well, it seems like two other realities will appear here sooner than we think. In about next chapter. Just a heads up for you readers." She winked, then turned back to the group.
"Should we do anything to get ready for these two realities to join us?" Mimi asked.
"Ooo, we should." Milk nodded.
"I might as well get everything as clean as possible then. They might not like the sight of cockroaches around." Hoihoi-san said.
"Maybe except Gokicha. She's pretty much different from the rest." Reg said.
"Well, yeah. True." Hoihoi-san nodded.
"Yeah, Gokicha's cool," Tai nodded. "Don't go sweeping her up with the rest of them."
"I won't." Hoihoi-san then went back to sweeping up the floor, but then saw a cockroach. She ran towards and cut it up with her katana.
"Especially when you would do just that." Milk points out.
Tai stretched and reached for the controller again. "Anyone up for another round? I guess there isn't much left to do other than wait for the next mission or for these other two realities to show up."
"Yes. This time, let's not let the CPUs win." Milk said.
The rest of the players went back to their game, but Kari was interested in something else. She turned to Raggedy Ann and asked, "Do you think I'd be able to meet Snowy that Alolan Vulpix?"
Ann nodded. "You definitely should." She then turns to Gatomon. "I do have something to discuss with you."
Gatomon nodded and followed her.
They were in the hallway of the Agency, and Ann gave Gatomon a file folder. "This is the document of what I found on the Light One."
Gatomon quickly opened it to scan the contents of the folder. "What can you tell me about her?" she asked as she browsed the information.
"What I found out about her is that she was here in this multiverse 10,000 years ago. She is one of the protectors of the multiverse, alongside some others that I'm still trying to find info on." Ann explains.
"What happened to her?" Gatomon asked.
Ann sighed. "She has been executed by her dark sister, the goddess of death herself: Myonora. I was told that she was killed by demons, but that isn't even true at all."
Gatomon continued to read the information given to her. "So, this is who they think Kari is the reincarnation of. But why go after her?"
"I'm wondering the same thing. It seems that there might be a resemblance between the Light One and Kari, but that's only an assumption that I've given myself. This assumption I have might not be true. But, I'm just gonna stick with it until I find out the actual truth about the Light One and Kari herself." Ann said.
"Thank you so much for this, Ann," Gatomon said as she tucked the folder under her arm.
Ann nodded. "I did run into something while I was doing a golf game like…maybe a few hours ago. I saw that there was another you, but this one is black."
"A BlackGatomon?" she wondered aloud. She was curious just what that meant. What did a BlackGatomon have to do with any of this…
"I was wanting to talk with her, see why she was there, but she just ran off without saying anything. I wanna track her down, and I want her to tell me what she knows. Because…I think she might be hiding something." Ann further explains.
"I can look for her," Gatomon said. "I'm good at tracking."
"So is Reg and Nanachi. And, maybe other trackers." Ann nodded. "Thanks. I appreciate you helping me search for her."
Gatomon smiled. "Not a problem. I want to know what they're doing here, too. I'll go ahead and start looking."
Ann nodded. "I'll leave you to it. And when I find something else out about the Light One, you'll be the first one to be informed."
"Thanks again, Ann. I really appreciate this." Gatomon then took off in search of the BlackGatomon.
Ann nodded. "Yeah." She then turns into goo, then she just slithers down the hallway.
Meanwhile, with Kari, she was walking down a different hallway. Then, just as she was expecting, she spotted the Alolan Vulpix herself, Snowy. She was staring out into the sky out the window.
"Hello, there," Kari said as she approached Snowy. "My name's Kari and I really like Alolan Vulpix."
Snowy turned to Kari, then smiled. "Nice to see someone new. I'm Snowy. You like Alolan Vulpix you say?" She nodded. "Well, looks like we won't have a problem getting along at all."
Kari nodded. "I was so excited to catch one in the game and I raised her up to level 100. She's my favorite pokemon."
Snowy is in shock. "Level 100? Wow. That took a lot."
Kari chuckled. "To be fair, she was the only one of my team that got that high up in levels, but she was my trusty partner. So, Snowy, what do you like to do around here?"
"Me?" Snowy thought for a moment. "Well, that's a good question you got there. What I mostly do is always be with Magearna. Oh, I always take walks every now and then. Like I'm kind of doing right now, before staring out into the sky. The beautiful sky."
Kari smiled and said, "That sounds nice. Do you go out on missions as well?"
Snowy nodded. "I do. Yes. Though I always have Magearna with me. And so does my trainer, Lilie."
"Who is Magearna?" Kari asked.
"Oh, she's a Pokemon as well. Though she isn't an Alolan Pokemon like me." Snowy chuckled.
"Can all the Pokemon talk?" Kari asked. "I thought most of them could only say their names."
"We do learn your language in due time. Although one of them only speaks in telepathy. And that one is the wish-making Pokemon herself: Jirachi." Snowy explains.
"Jirachi? I love that Pokemon too. She's really cute," Kari said.
Snowy nodded. "She is a sweety." She nodded some more. "I might as well ask now. Are you guys new here to this Agency?"
"Yeah, we haven't been here that long," Kari explained. "We fell through a portal that led us to this world."
Snowy thinks for a moment. "Heard this happened before." She then looks up at Kari. "You aren't the only ones that dealt with it. I've been hearing that there were more that came before you guys. I mostly got here to investigate all that. That was the main reason why I came here to this Agency, so that I can learn how these portals work and how to stop them. If I can. I might not do it alone, however."
Kari was impressed. "That's a big task that you've given yourself. You've definitely got us backing you up."
Snowy smiled. "Thanks. I appreciate it."
"Well, I'd better get back to the others. Who knows when we'll be called for another mission," Kari said as she waved goodbye to Snowy.
Snowy nodded, then she looked back at the sky out the window. "I wonder when they'll come. The others."
Meanwhile, back in the apartment center, Gatomon was looking through the file folder she was given to by Ann, and looked through it some. But the other thought bothers her. A BlackGatomon somewhere in this Agency…or somewhere else.
Katy crawled up to Gatomon. "So, I heard she gave you that."
Gatomon nodded as she perused the papers. "I'm hoping that I'll get some answers from these. I want to know more about why our enemies want Kari so badly."
Katy nodded. "I figured something out at least, if it's not in the folder itself."
"What is it?" Gatomon asked.
"Well, the Light One is only just one of these things to revive the goddess of death. There are four others that need to be there to complete the resurrection. They call it The Four Pinnacles." Katy explains.
"Four others…" Gatomon sighed. "Do we know who these others are?"
Katy shook her head. "That we're trying to figure out ourselves."
"Well, it's a start at least," Gatomon said, forcing a smile. "We'll just have to keep digging."
Katy nodded, but then looked concerned. "I've been hearing some people say that a BlackGatomon is in the area. Has someone told you about it already?"
"Yes, Ann told me. I don't want to judge a digimon by their looks, but I hear that BlackGatomon aren't typically the most friendly bunch," Gatomon said.
Katy nodded. "They definitely aren't. Especially when they're the rookie form of a LadyDevimon."
Gatomon nodded. LadyDevimon were the polar opposites of Angewomon, like a shadow to them. They were sworn enemies. "Have you heard where this BlackGatomon might be?"
Katy thought for a moment. "I have Lain track her down. We haven't got a clear visual on where she's gonna end up being, so…" She shook her head. "No clue on that at all."
"I'll keep an eye out for her," Gatomon said. "I'll join the hunt if need be."
"Thank you, Gatomon. We would appreciate it." Katy nodded, then she crawled away from her.
Hoihoi-san came to her while sweeping the floor. "Seems like a coincidence that your dark counterpart is here now. Wonder why?"
"I don't know, but I have a feeling that it isn't good," Gatomon said as she closed the folder. She had finished reading the contents inside.
Hoihoi-san nodded, then sighed. "This job isn't easy. Especially when we're about to have newcomers on our way soon."
"Let's hope these newcomers are friendly. Last thing we need is more enemies," she said.
"Well, from what Nemurin said, why won't a Reg and some Pokemon be worse?" Hoihoi-san kept on sweeping the floor.
"True." Gatomon hopped off the chair she was sitting in and made her way for the door. "I think I'm going to take a look around, see if I can find any more information on this BlackGatomon that's wandering around here."
"Go ahead. Be safe now." Hoihoi-san said.
Gatomon nodded, then headed out. While she was walking down the hallway, she encountered Kari, who was returning from meeting with Snowy.
"Hey, Gatomon," Kari said. "What are you up to?"
Gatomon sighed. "I'm looking for a Gatomon that looks like me but is all black. Want to help me look for her?"
Kari nodded and said, "Sure, sounds interesting. A BlackGatomon…"
The two headed deeper into the agency and began asking around to see if anyone had seen a BlackGatomon.
Sometime later, they encountered two blob-like beings, the Amoeba Sisters, Petunia and Pinky, looking at something.
"I did this science experiment pretty well." Pinky said.
"Yeah, until you blew up some cells." Petunia sighed. "That's not good."
"I'm sorry if the experiment backfired." Pinky argued.
Petunia sighed. "Let's just hope our next science experiment goes well."
Kari and Gatomon approached the Amoeba Sisters and said, "Excuse me, but have you seen a BlackGatomon around here?"
Petunia was the first to respond. "A black one? That's interesting. Never said I have."
The two sighed. "We've been turning up with dead ends all day," Kari said. "Maybe we should put the search on hold for now."
Gatomon nodded. "I think you're right. Besides, I'm sure that BlackGatomon will make her presence known sooner or later."
Petunia nodded. "You guys must be new. I'm Petunia, and this is my sister Pinky."
"We've been having problems with science experiments, so…I'm trying to find out what went wrong." Pinky said.
"We always discover new things…through science, of course. That's what we do. Learn more with science." Petunia said.
"Sounds impressive," Kari said. "You know, you might ask our friend Izzy for a hand. He's really smart and he might be able to help you guys out."
Petunia nodded. "To the Google for that." She sighed. "Well then, we can do that, if we wanted to, that is." She glared at Pinky.
Pinky shrugged. "I'm okay with it."
Petunia nodded. "Uh huh." She sighed. "Sorry if we can't be much help to you guys."
"It's fine," Gatomon smiled. "Thanks for your time, guys."
Petunia nodded.
Meanwhile, back in the apartment center, yet again, we see Milk trying to put a boombox into the room. The DigiDestined and Digimon that are in the room notice this.
"What's up with the boombox, Milk?" Sora asked.
"We need a celebration every once in a while. I always thought that these newcomers wouldn't mind a boombox song or something to that effect." Milk said.
"We should throw a party for the newcomers," Mimi said. "I bet that'd be fun."
"See? Mimi's in good spirits with it." Milk said.
"I'm still wiping the floors." Hoihoi-san said.
"Hey, you're fine. Besides, we have until…maybe tomorrow or something, I don't know what Nemurin said, I completely forgot." Milk puts a fist on her head. "Silly me."
"You're like that at times." Hoihoi-san sighed.
"Say, is there anything else I would need for this newcomer celebration here?" Milk asked.
"We should make a cake!" T.K. said excitedly. "A really big one!"
"Noice. I like it." Milk said.
"Now let's not make them overwhelmed if some of them might get overwhelmed." Hoihoi-san suggested.
"You think that'll be a problem?" Milk sighed.
"I think keeping it simple would be fine," Joe said. "A cake, some music, and video games would probably be a nice welcome."
"To keep this in mind, Joe, there might be some newcomers that wouldn't know what these things are. So keep this in mind. That goes for the rest of you too." Hoihoi-san points out.
"That's true," Matt said. "We can't take for granted that we know what technology is, but these guys might have no idea. Think how overwhelmed we felt when we first got here."
The others nodded, thinking back on their first day at the agency.
Kari and Gatomon came back.
"Oh, you two. Just setting up for newcomer day." Milk said.
"I see," Kari said, noticing the boombox.
"We've just been trying to hunt down a BlackGatomon," Gatomon said. "Our search turned up empty handed though."
"A BlackGatomon?" Meta-Verse Gatomon gets up from her cat bed and comes to Gatomon. "You mean there's one here?"
"That's the rumor," Gatomon replied. "Have you heard any rumors about her wandering around?"
Meta-Verse Gatomon looks solemn, but shakes her head. "I had an encounter with her once. Back when I lost my Kari. She told me that she should let me join her crew of dangerous members known as the Hell Endangerment Society. I declined, knowing that she and I are opposites."
"So my hunch was right. This BlackGatomon could be bad news," Gatomon said. "We'll just have to keep an eye out for her."
Milk nodded. "The Hell Endangerment Society. BlackGatomon didn't start that. That is one of the 12 Sisters that started it. Her name is August. She seems childlike, with a habit of throwing maraca bombs all over the place. After what happened back in a planet known as Graceland, she did go off on her own, alongside her other sisters, February, October, November and December, to start this new hellish organization. And I betcha she made BlackGatomon join for a reason."
"This Hell Endangerment Society sounds like bad news," Tai said. "You think we're going to run into them anytime soon?"
"If that BlackGatomon is working for that society, then I'm sure of it," Gatomon said. "I just have a bad feeling about all this."
"She is right. It seems we'll be facing this society sooner than we think." Hoihoi-san said.
"Great. And here I was thinking things would be okay for a while. Nope. Things got much worse." Milk accidentally turned on the boombox and it got loud. Louder than an airplane, ha! She then turns it off. "I'm sorry I pressed something. I need to fix the volume on the thing."
"Probably should before the newcomers get here. That could overwhelm anyone," Tai laughed.
Ushio Okazaki came into the room. "What was that racket?"
"Oh, kiddo. Well, you're my age, but still. Sorry, we had a situation with the boombox." Milk said.
"I can see you doing that." Ushio sighed. "I've talked to Snow White about Nemurin. I think she found a way to get Nemurin out of the dream world."
"What is it?" Tai asked.
"She said that if we wanna save her…we have to actually go in and get her ourselves." Ushio said.
"How do we get to this dream world?" Sora asked.
"That we did not even discuss." Ushio said.
"Okay, maybe first off, locate it. Even if it's off-world." Milk said.
Ushio nodded. "Probably be a best bet."
"And we'll wait for you until you figure out where the dream world is." Milk said.
Ushio nodded. "Have fun with preparing more while we figure this out. Seems like we're about to go on a rescue mission soon." She then walks out of the room.
"I hope they can figure it out soon," Mimi said. "I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in some kind of dream world."
"Even if it's a dream about your favorite thing?" Hoihoi-san asked.
Mimi thought it over. "I don't know… I mean, too much of a good thing is bad, right? Maybe that would go for living in a dream world of your favorite thing. At some point it stops being special."
Hoihoi-san felt a sudden sense of sadness at what Mimi said. At some point it stops being special? Is that even possible? She sighed. "You're not wrong. But the last part seems…"
Milk sighed. "I didn't know something would stop being special afterwards." She looks at the boombox for a minute.
"I just meant if it's your everyday. What if everyday was the same thing over and over? Like you're living in a loop. Maybe it will stop being nice after a long, long time." Mimi said.
"You know, we've been having some people that experienced time loops before. They will be glad they got out of that." Milk said. "They think it's annoying to live the same time again and again."
"I just hope Numurin isn't stuck in some kind of loop," Sora said.
"Yeah, that would get annoying after a while," Tai nodded.
Ushio came back into the room. "Change of plans. We got ourselves a sudden attack in Tokyo."
"Aw great. What type of attack is this?" Milk asked.
"From the Hell Endangerment Society." Ushio confirmed.
"I guess your prediction was right, Hoi-Hoi San," Tai said. "We are going to face them sooner than we expected."
"Like I said, my predictions aren't wrong." Hoihoi-san said.
"Let's go out there and kick some ass." Milk said.
Ushio nodded.
Tokyo
Later, everyone has gotten into the van truck and are headed towards Tokyo.
"If I can presume something, if the Hell Endangerment Society is there, that means BlackGatomon might be there as well." Milk said.
"Then we must have found her then." Katy said.
Gatomon's fur bristled. She had no idea what to expect from this BlackGatomon. Would she digivolve into LadyDevimon. Would she have to fight her shadow? "Guess it's time to get some answers," Gatomon said.
Ann nodded. "Yes. I wanna know why she was at that golf game some hours ago. It does bother me, really."
"You mean you saw her?" Katy asked in shock.
Ann nodded. "I have. I was wanting to know what she was up to, but she ran off afterwards. I betcha she was spying on me or something."
"We need to figure out what she's after then," Kari said. She looked over at Gatomon and asked, "Are you ready?"
Gatomon nodded. "I'm more than ready."
"Let's just hope you are." Katy said.
"Yeah. Dark opposites fighting against each other. That's me fighting against my own blanket." Milk said.
Tai chuckled but it was short lived. He glanced back at his sister and her partner. He knew one thing was for certain, he was going to stick close to her to make sure no one tried to grab her again.
"How much further?" Tai asked impatiently.
Before anyone could answer, an explosion was behind them.
"Holy shit!" Milk grabs out her milk sword.
The DigiDestined readied their digivices and Tai was the first to peer out the window to see if he could spot what caused the explosion.
He saw that it was one of the 12 Sisters, August. She has long blonde hair braided in a ponytail and green eyes. She wears a black top hat, black long-sleeve dress and black boots. She readies more of her maraca bombs for another impact.
"We've got trouble!" Tai yelled as he pulled his head back into the van truck. "We need to get out there and fight."
"I agree." Katy nodded.
"Alright guys. Let's see what we can do to get out of this bloody mess." Paiman said.
Everyone has gotten out of the van truck, then they ready themselves for battle.
August snickered. "I heard you guys are going to the dream world to rescue a friend of yours. Oh, we'll get there first before you."
"That's what you think," Tai said. "Agumon, get in there!"
Agumon digivolve into MetalGreymon and he fired his Giga Blaster at August.
August dodged the Giga Blaster and threw her maraca bombs at the team.
Gomamon digivolve into Zudomon and used his shell to try to protect the team from the bombs. While he was guarding the team, the rest of the digimon evolved into their ultimate levels.
August sighed. "Team. Get them."
"Yes, ma'am." The three twin sisters come down from a plane above them and start firing at them with their rifles.
These three twin sisters have blond hair with ponytails and brown eyes. They wear a white long-sleeve dress, white stockings and brown loafers. These are October, November and December.
"Shit. Attack from above." Milk blocks the bullets with her milk sword.
The digimon hunkered down and protected their partners from the raining bullets. Garudamon turned up and shouted, "Wing Blade!" and unleashed a blast of fire at the three.
"Uh oh!" The three twins try to dodge, but they get attacked by the Wing Blade.
August gritted her teeth in anger.
"Sorry for the wait." BlackGatomon came to them. She has black fur, yellow eyes and wears purple gloves and has a black and purple striped tail. What is noticeable about this Gatomon is that she doesn't have a ring on her tail like her light counterpart.
"What took you so long?" August asked.
"February has found the location of the dream world." BlackGatomon said.
"Good. Deal with these idiots." August said.
"As you wish." BlackGatomon then grabs out a katana, to which it turns into a gunblade, then she charges at the team.
"Not so fast," Angewomon cries out as she stands in front of the team. "Heaven's Charm!" she unleashed a burst of holy light at the charging BlackGatomon.
BlackGatomon slashes at the Heaven's Charm. "Dark Lightness." She unleashes a dark energy out of her gunblade and it is heading towards the team.
"Shit, there's no way she did that." Milk said. "She must have learned that skill." She goes up to protect the team from the Dark Lightness and she blocks it with her milk sword.
"Just what's with this BlackGatomon?" Tai exclaimed. "How can a digimon use a weapon like that?"
"Doesn't matter, we have to figure out a way to beat it," Matt said. WereGarurumon was the next to charge at BlackGatomon.
"Wolf Claw!" he shouted as he tried to meet her head on and swipe his claws at her.
"Ugh, this is tiring." BlackGatomon has managed to kick WereGarurumon with a jump kick.
WereGarurumon fell back and MagnaAngemon flew up to her next. The glowing sword sticking out of his wrist armor lit up brightly and he swiped at her with the blade.
BlackGatomon tries to block the glowing sword, which she did, but then she falls back a bit.
Katy used her Big Impact Gun at August, causing some damage to her.
August gets up. "You won't succeed. You see, we work for Wheatley with one purpose: To exact revenge."
"You guys teamed up with that weird robot?" Joe asked.
Zudomon stepped forward and slammed his hammer into the ground, sending an electric shockwave at August.
August screamed, and got electrocuted. She then tries to get up. "Wow. That was not called for."
"It is to us." Phos turns her hands into golden alloy and she splashes it onto August and BlackGatomon, to which they get wrapped in it.
"Still want to go?" Tai asked. "There's more where that came from."
MetalGreymon bared his teeth and readied another Giga Blaster, aiming at August.
It did successfully hit August, causing her to be beaten.
"August. The portal to the dream world is now opened." A voice inside her head said.
"Good. I'll be there soon." August said, telepathically.
"Yes, ma'am."
August turns to the team. "Well, it looks like the portal to the dream world is now open. I win. See you, suckers." She then makes a run for it.
"Oh crap. She's getting away." Nanachi gets out her guns and shoots at August, but misses.
"Don't let her escape!" Tai said. "Hurry, MetalGreymon!"
MetalGreymon chased after her.
August turns around to see MetalGreymon chasing after her. "Huh. I see. You won't give up, will you? Well this would do the trick." She grabs out a fog grenade and throws it at the giant metal-armored t-rex, to which it causes fog to surround him when it explodes.
MetalGreymon stopped and looked around, his vision now skewed by the fog. "Where'd she go?" he asked.
Garudamon began flapping her wings, trying to blow the fog away.
The fog has faded, and it appears that August is gone.
"No! She got away!" Matt groaned.
"We're not letting her get to Nemurin. We have to track her down." Snow White said.
"I think we have someone that will tell us." Phos brought BlackGatomon closer to them.
The digimon gathered around and reverted back to their rookie stages. Gatomon approached the BlackGatomon and said, "How do we get to the Dream World?"
BlackGatomon snickered. "February said the portal was opened. It might still be open if you're lucky enough. If I don't kill you first."
"You aren't killing anyone," Agumon growled.
"Oh we'll see about that." BlackGatomon snickered.
Meta-Verse Gatomon approaches BlackGatomon and instantly smacks her in the face. "Where's the portal located?"
BlackGatomon sighed. "It is located in an abandoned warehouse here in Tokyo. It's not that far."
"Point us in the right direction, then," Tai said. "And no funny business."
Afterwards, the team has gathered and is going to the abandoned warehouse.
October, November and December have gotten up since the Wing Blade struck them to the ground. "Where did they go?" October looks around.
"They might be heading to the warehouse right now." November said.
"We go there and kill them. That's what we're doing next. Then we'll get ice cream after that." December said.
"August did promise us that." October then made a sinister smile. "Let's follow them."
Meanwhile, they were on their way to the warehouse, to which it took them a few minutes or so before reaching it. Okay, 30 minutes, how about that?
"There it is." Katy said.
"Are you certain that this is where the portal is?" Tai asked BlackGatomon. "This better not be a trap."
"I am sure." BlackGatomon said.
"I can't believe she might be damned honest." Milk said.
"Let's still keep our guards up, just to be on the safe side," Joe said.
They have gotten out of the van truck and are heading into the warehouse. They got in, then they saw that February, one of the 12 Sisters, had had the portal opened for a while. She has reddish-blonde hair that she wears in large curls and purple eyes. She wears a white and black dress, white stockings and black boots.
August is about to go in. "Make sure no one gets in."
"Copy that." February said.
"Guys, let's get through that portal!" Tai shouted. "Quick, everyone, digivolve!"
Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Tentomon, and Patamon digivolve into their champion forms while Gatomon digivolve into Angewomon. The digimon charged for Sisters.
February turns around to see this. "Um, sir?"
"What?" August turns around to see the digivolved Digimon getting after her and February. "Goddammit." She grabs out her maraca bombs and throws them at the Digimon.
The Digimon scattered and avoided the bombs but they were forced to back away to avoid the ensuing explosions. Greymon turned to Garurumon and said, "Do you think you can get in there with your speed?"
Garurumon nodded and sprinted forward. "Howling Blaster!" he bellowed as he unleashed a jet of blue fire at August.
August dodges this and, unfortunately, goes inside the portal to the Dream World.
"She got in!" Katy said.
"Let's get in there and stop her!" Snow White readies her staff.
"Hurry, everyone!" Sora yelled as she and the rest of the DigiDestined and their Digimon rushed to the portal. They threw themselves inside and fell into whatever world lay in wait for them.
Dream World
What it appears to be is that this world looks…fluffy. There are just white clouds all over the place.
"So this is Nemurin's dream world, huh? Looks soft and cuddly." Konata Izumi said.
Tai cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "Nemurin! Where are you?"
Silence
"Oh. So you are here?" Nemurin approaches them. "And who is this other guy that came in before you?"
"That's August. One of the 12 Sisters." Ann said.
"12 Sisters?" Nemurin is in shock. "Huh. Well, she just got in here, and was wondering what's going on."
"Those 12 Sisters are here to cause trouble," Greymon said.
"And we're here to stop them and rescue you," Tai added.
They heard an explosion. They turn to see that one of the clouds is being attacked.
Nemurin's eyes widened. "My clouds…they're being attacked…"
The Digimon followed the sounds of the explosion. As they dashed forward, Greymon and Garurumon digivolve into MetalGreymon and WereGarurumon, and the two took the lead.
The Agents and Nemurin followed the Digimon, and so as the DigiDestined, and they found that August is simply destroying Nemurin's Dream World with the maraca bombs.
"What are you doing?!" Nemurin asked, looking frightened.
August turns to Nemurin. "Destroying your precious dream. It doesn't look that precious anymore."
"Stop right there!" Matt shouted. "WereGarurumon, get them!"
WereGarurumon leaped and swung his claws at August.
August dodges this and she leaps onto WereGarurumon. "How about we defuse you?" She then grabs out an electric stick and tasers WereGarurumon with it.
WereGarurumon howls as electricity pulsates through him. He staggered and slumped over, paralyzed. Birdramon and Kabuterimon quickly swooped in and fired their Meteor Wing and Electro Shocker attacks.
August dodges this as well. Snow White then charges at August and she fights the android Sister off with her staff. August then punches Snow White in the side and throws her to the side.
Then, the three twin Sisters, October, November and December came running towards them.
"You're not gonna have all the fun." October then fires her gun at the team.
Konata then transforms herself into her Lustrous form and she charges at October with her sword.
Birdramon dived down and scooped up WereGarurumon with her talons and brought him back over to the rest of the team. Once she sat him down gently, he de-digivolved back to Gabumon.
"I'm sorry, Matt…" Gabumon said somberly.
Matt patted his head and said, "It's okay. Just take a long rest.
MetalGreymon joined Kabutermon at the front while Togemon and Ikkakumon held back and fired their Needle Spray and Harpoon Torpedo attacks from afar.
"Shit!" August tries to dodge, but she got pickled by the Needle Spray, and literally got blown to the side by the Harpoon Blaster.
"Oh great." November rolled her eyes.
"It's not done yet." Ann then unzips her head, then three white hands come out of her head, with one holding a water spray, and she sprayed water onto the cloud that is on fire.
MetalGreymon stomps over to November and readies a Giga Blaster. "Leave this place and maybe we'll go easy on you," he snarled at her.
November gets frightened by that. "Um…help?"
"November." October throws Konata to the side. "This dream world of hers is becoming a bit too much. It seems to have overflowed our own world enough. And trust me, her dream world just overtook our world. And now, this dream has to come to an end."
"I know they have to, but sometimes you can't destroy a dream." A girl comes down behind October, and she grabs her and throws her onto December.
The girl is revealed to have pale pink hair that frames her face with two large bangs covering the sides of her cheeks and her forehead and pale, dark, reddish-pink eyes. She wears a hot pink colored suit, white and pink cape hoodie, pale pink skirt, black shorts and black thigh-high boots. This is Iroha Tamaki.
The DigiDestined turned to Iroha. "Who are you?" Mimi asked.
"Iroha Tamaki. And I am a Puella Magi, a type of magical girl." Iroha gets up, then readies her slingshot bow. "Heard you have a problem. Let me help fix it."
"Prodigious! Another Magical Girl," Izzy exclaimed. "Let's get rid of these guys for good. Let's go Kabuterimon!"
Kabuterimon began to glow and he digivolved into MegaKabuterimon. The giant beetle dived down and aimed his horns at the Sisters. "Horn Buster!" He shouted as a blast of electricity fired out of his horn at them.
"Maybe we should have a change of plans!" November runs away, but she gets attacked by the Horn Buster.
August gets up. "I'm not done yet." She got an arrow on her arm.
"Bullseye." Iroha said.
October gets up, then she grabs out her rifle gun. "Chew on this, suckers!" She then starts firing bullets at them.
MetalGreymon hopped in the way and deflected the bullets with his giant metal arm. The bullets ricocheted off the metal and fell helplessly to the ground below.
"Crap." October said.
August then jumped really high and got onto the cloud. She then plants a big explosion bomb onto it and starts the timer. "Looks like you guys are about to have a big bang come to you." She hops off the cloud. "Retreat! My job here is done."
October, November and December then approached August, and they ran out through the portal.
"We can't leave yet! I don't wanna see my dream world destroyed!" Nemurin said, looking sad.
"Then we defuse the bomb." Katy said.
Matt and Tai walked over to the bomb and carefully opened it up, revealing its inner circuitry and wires. Izzy typed up something on his computer and said, "I believe that if we cut the wires in the right order then the bomb should defuse."
"What are we seeing here?" Tsumiki asked.
What Matt, Tai and Izzy could see on wires are a blue wire, a red wire, a yellow wire and a green wire.
Izzy continued typing on his computer for a moment. Time continued to count down. They only had less than a minute to cut the wires. "First, we need to start with the yellow one," he said.
Hoihoi-san approaches them, then gets inside the bomb. She then grabs out a pair of tweezers and she starts cutting the yellow wire. She did just that, and gladly, it didn't explode.
"Okay, good," Izzy said, wiping some sweat off his brow. He was a nervous wreck. One wrong move, and they would all be done for. He typed someone and said, "Next is the blue one."
"Got it." Hoihoi-san then goes for the blue wire and starts cutting it. She did just that. Still, it did not explode. They saw that there was about 30 seconds left on the clock.
"What's the next one, Izzy?" Tai asked, also beginning to sweat from the fear of the bomb going off.
Izzy paused. There were only two wires left, but he wasn't entirely sure now which one needed to be cut. He kept researching. Only ten seconds were left. "Quick, he said, finally finding the answer. "The green one needs to be cut next, then lastly the red one."
Hoihoi-san quickly goes to do that. The green one is cut. Five more seconds left. She then rushes to the red one and cuts it. There were two seconds left when the bomb was finally defused. "It's done."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Izzy closed his laptop and put it back into his backpack. Tai ruffled his hair playfully and said, "Good job, dude. You really saved our necks back there."
"It was nothing," he replied a little breathlessly. He knew that if he had been wrong even slightly, they would have all been dead. He sighs and stands back up.
"Thank you, for saving my dream world." Nemurin approaches Tai, Izzy and Hoihoi-san.
"Glad we were able to chase those guys out of here," Tai replied with a warm smile. "So, are we all ready to go?"
Katy nodded. "We accomplished this mission."
"I do wonder if I could bypass this place, since I'm dead." Nemurin said.
"We won't be sure until you try." Phos said.
Nemurin nodded.
Tokyo
Later, they got out of the dream world through the portal. They saw that February is still there, looking defeated.
"What's wrong?" Tai teased her. "Did the others leave you behind or something?"
February looks at Tai. "No. I was just waiting for you to pop out before closing this. Then, you'll be sure I'll be back."
"Okay, why are you waiting for us?" Ann asked.
February looks solemn. "I am the neutral of the 12 Sisters. Not evil at all. But, I do what I have to do. Even though August told me to leave you guys behind, I decided against it."
The DigiDestined looked at each other, confused. "Um, thanks I suppose," T.K. finally said. "But I don't get it. If you aren't evil then why are you helping the bad guys?"
"Because I don't have a choice." February replied.
It sounded more complicated than the DigiDestined could assume. Perhaps she did have her reasons for staying. "You could come with us," Kari said. "You don't have to stay with them."
February thinks about it. "I can't do that. If I had my own freedom…I would be on my own. Alone. Finding answers as to why I existed in the first place. Being created by an evil tyrannical mobster looking for money, I felt evil back then. But now, since she's dead, I felt a trickle of confusion on me. A trickle of wrong. I finally know that something isn't right. So, I can't join you. I'm sorry."
Sora turned to Katy and Ann and said, "I suppose we aren't going to be able to convince her, huh?"
Katy shook her head. "If she has her reasons, then I won't stop her."
"Then we shouldn't press it, if she has her reasons," Joe said. "It'll just be a shame to have to keep fighting against her, but this is her choice."
Then, they saw Nemurin come out of the portal. She saw that she was alive. "It seems I'm back from the dead. I am a new me. Well, not new, but…revived."
Phos nodded. "See? You're still alive."
Nemurin nodded.
February then shuts the portal down. She then hops off of her spot. "If there is anything you're looking for in your life, answers…I suggest you look for them." She then leaves the warehouse.
As he watched her leave, Tai felt a bit of nagging guilt. He hated knowing that they were battling someone who wasn't really their enemy, but life seemed to dictate that this was what was destined to happen. He sighed and said, "I guess there's not much else for us to do here. Should we head back to the Agency?"
Katy nodded. "Let's head back to base."
Then, black.
Meta-Verse Department Agency
A day later, the DigiDestined and Digimon were back at the apartment center, doing their own thing. Milk came in with balloons.
"What are the balloons for, Milk?" T.K. asked.
Milk turns to T.K., then sighed. "Well, it's almost time we get these newcomers. So, why not the balloons for this newcomer party here?"
"You're right," Kari said. "We were told not to do anything too overwhelming, but balloons seem fine."
"Yeah. Balloons are cool. Well, not if it's from Pennywise the Dancing Clown. You don't wanna meet Pennywise. He's a nightmare." Milk then goes to decorate the balloons in the room.
"Should we get some streamers too?" Sora suggested. "That would help liven the place up a little more."
"Streamers." Milk nodded. "How the hell did I forget about that? Streamers. Yeah, those would help too."
Tai seemed quiet as he watched T.V. almost absentmindedly. Izzy noticed this and said, "You okay, Tai? You've been kind of quiet since the mission yesterday."
"Guess I'm still thinking about what February said," he replied, "about her not being evil. I don't want to fight someone who isn't really a bad guy, you know. I guess I kind of feel bad for her."
"Everyone has that in them." Hoihoi-san sweeps the floor. "The regrets of doing something wrong in their life. Trying to find a way to redeem themselves."
"And, everyone goes about finding that redemption in different ways," Sora offered. "Maybe this is what she feels is right to her? We can't take that away from her."
"Yeah, if she's going to want to fight alongside her sisters, then we'll just have no choice but to keep fighting her, I guess," Matt said.
Hoihoi-san nodded.
Milk sighed. "Yeah. That would be a pity. I mean, I'm always an asshole. I always fight someone even if they are redeeming themselves. That's the type of asshole I am. And I shouldn't be doing that."
"At least you're fighting for our side, Milk," Mimi said. "I certainly wouldn't want to be your enemy."
"Hell no, you look sweet. I would never turn you into a bloody pulp. In fact, I would love to give you some stuff to fashion you up. Fashion model." Milk said.
Mimi blushed and smiled. "Aw, thank you, Milk."
T.K. helped set up the balloons and said, "Man, I can't wait for these newcomers to show up."
"Indeed, indeed. I still need to fix that damned boombox, since it's still on loud volume, and apparently I can't turn it down when it's off." Milk sighed.
"Maybe if the newcomers aren't going to be too overwhelmed, we can move the party outside and the boombox's volume wouldn't be such an issue," Izzy said.
"Why didn't I think of that?" Milk said.
Someone then came in. This someone is a female.
This female has long red hair that reaches down her waist, styled normally with a single strand of her bangs braided, as well as the sides of her hair pulled back and held together with a small basic clip and blue eyes. She wears a black beret, black long-sleeve vest, white shirt, red checkered skirt, black thigh-high socks and brown loafers. This is Lilith Asami.
"Hey." Lilith said.
"Oh, hello!" The DigiDestined replied, surprised to see Lilith walk in.
Lilith sighed. "Nemurin is gonna be fine. That's what I'm here to tell you. She was pretty happy when she found out that she got resurrected after getting out of the dream world."
The DigiDestined smiled at this and looked to one another happily. "That's great to hear," Tai said. "Looks like we've got a new teammate, huh?"
"Looks like you guys do. Oh, and if you don't know me, I'm Lilith Asami. I am a faculty member here, and I'm basically a librarian, alongside Myne, who is a four-year-old."
"They let a four-year-old be a librarian?" Matt asked, surprised. He knew he shouldn't be too shocked by anything that he heard anymore, what with all the strange people they've met in the agency.
"Well, this four-year-old isn't just a librarian. She's actually an author. She lives in a world where books seem to not exist, and so, she goes to write some herself, since she has a love for books. And you can't believe how many books she has written in her life." Lilith said.
"Amazing. She sounds so accomplished," Izzy replied, thoroughly impressed.
Lilith nodded. "So, is this for the newcomer party I've been hearing rumors about?" She points at the balloons.
"Yup, all we need now is the newcomers," T.K. replied happily. "I can't wait to meet some new friends."
Lilith nodded. "Well, have fun." She then left the room.
"Tomorrow's the big day." Milk wipes the sweat off her forehead. "I don't know why I'm excited for this, even though they're gonna be sucked out of their homeworld."
