Dawn was in her casual attire (yellow T-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes) as she approached the front of the park during midday. There, she noticed her friend, Sakura, waving at her with smoothies in her hands. Next to her was a girl about the same age with orange hair.
"Hey, Sakura." Dawn said before shaking the other girl's hand. "You must be Elena Miyazawa. Nice to meet you."
"Thanks." Elena said. "Nice to meet you too, Dawn."
"Still can't believe that you're Blue Panther." Dawn commented.
Elena chuckled with a bit of red in her cheeks. "Actually, the Blue Panther thing is done. I retired the mask after Sakura beat me."
"Sorry." Dawn commented before Sakura passed her one of the smoothies in her hand. Dawn took a sip of it. "Hmm. Blueberry."
"Yeah. Sorry I didn't ask what you wanted. Me and Elena both asked for this, so we figured…"
"Don't worry about it, Sakura." Dawn said. "I don't mind." She continued sipping while walking down the park with the other girls.
"So you're really a pro from America?" Elena asked. "That must be nice."
"It has its moments." Dawn replied. "Though, these days, that's not the case. I think a few girls at Berserk don't have much love for me."
"Well, you're the first wrestler we've had who was already a pro." Sakura said. "That's a bit of a high bar you set. That's like how Elena started wrestling even though back then, we didn't have any experiences."
"Which reminds me." Dawn said. "Elena, I couldn't help but notice your wrestling skills during your match against Sakura. How'd you pull that off in the few months that she spent staying in the league?"
"Well, actually…" Elena chuckled embarrassingly, "I've had a lot more training than that."
"What do you mean?"
Sakura and Elena took a look at each other before the former nodded.
"All right." Elena said. "It all started in our idol careers. We were given the chance to promote our group by working out at Berserk. We thought it'd be easy."
"Trust me. It isn't." Dawn remarked.
"Yeah, we kinda figured it out when Rio Kazama made fun of us." Sakura said. "Elena sparred against her, but she got hurt. I tried avenging her in a public match, but…"
"Let me guess. She beat you?" Dawn asked.
"Not just that. She humiliated me." Sakura said. "Cut my hair in front of everyone. But I wasn't going to give up that easily. I decided to take a break from Sweet Diva to be a pro wrestler until I can beat Rio. What came next is a long few months of losses and Boston crab submissions."
"Yeah, that must suck." Dawn said with a frown. "But what does this have to do with you, Elena."
"Well, Sakura was having a horrible time because she was defending me." Elena said. "I felt like I had to take an equal amount of responsibility. So I went to Miyabi and volunteered to be their training dummy just so I could feel the pain that Sakura felt."
"You actually volunteered for that?" Dawn asked.
"Sakura was going through hell because of me. I felt it was the only way I could make it right." Elena said.
"Nine months later, I was finally able to defeat Rio." Sakura said. "But I didn't go back to Sweet Diva. Instead, I announced that I was going to keep on wrestling."
"And that upset everyone at Sweet Diva, me more than the rest." Elena said. "I felt like I was losing my best friend and greatest rival. So, with Miyabi's help and the endurance I went through during the nine months, I started training to perform in the ring hoping I could use those skills to get Sakura to quit wrestling and come back to Sweet Diva."
"But then, Sakura beat you and the two of you decided to be both idols and wrestlers so everyone can be happy." Dawn concluded. "I saw the rest. That must be quite the hassle juggling as both idols and wrestlers."
"Not going to lie. It's quite a task." Sakura said. "But we didn't sign up for easy."
"And I've been doing that already, so I knew how to manage." Elena said. "And now, the rest of Sweet Diva are cool with us doing it."
"So in the end, it all worked out for everyone." Dawn said. "I'll admit, I would never make it as an idol. My singing is okay at best."
Sakura chuckled. "Now, I can't help but imagine you singing one of our songs in black and yellow idol dress."
"No thank you." Dawn said. "By the way, Elena, I've been curious about one thing. Why'd you choose the name, Blue Panther?"
"Well, I just thought it'd sound cool and ferocious." Elena admitted. "I mean, why do you call yourself Queen Bee?"
Just then, Dawn's expression returned into a frown. She sighed. "Actually, there is a personal reason why I'm called that."
"Why?" Sakura asked.
Dawn didn't say anything. She just stayed silent. But then, her eyes caught something above the two girls she was with. "What the… What's that?"
The idol wrestlers looked up and saw a guy slouching on top of a tree branch. He looked like he was in a sleeping position. He had tan skin, brown hair, and three bird scars on his left fourarm. He wore a black shirt, a red jacket, dark gray pants, and black cowboy boots.
"Well, there's something you don'tsee every day." Sakura commented. "Hey! Excuse me!"
Just then, the boy in the tree stirred himself awake. He yawned before rolling off of the branch. He landed on his feet meeting the three girls.
"Sorry, senoras." He apologized. "I was just taking a snooze and…" His eyes widened as he took a good look at Sakura. He jumped back in shock with a bit of red in his cheeks. "Dios mio! You're Sakura Hagiwara, aren't you?"
"Hehe. That's me." Sakura greeted. "You a fan?"
"Well, yeah," the boy said, "But more than that. My name's Yoshi Hirano. You probably met my sisters, Selena and Maya."
"Wait. Selena and Maya are your sisters?" Sakura asked in a surprised tone.
"Who are they?" Dawn asked.
"They're Berserk wrestlers." Sakura said. "They were absent from training the other day, so that's why you haven't met them yet. But trust me, they can be a handful."
"I can attest to that." Yoshi said. "It's nice to meet you, Ms. Hagiwara."
"Please. Just call me Sakura. And I'll just call you Yoshi. How's that?"
Yoshi blushed once more. "That's fine. I gotta go." Yoshi turned around and left before waving back.
As she left, Dawn snickered at Sakura's expense. "Looks like somebody has a crush."
"What?" Sakura asked barely hiding her smile. "That's just… I mean, I get it. I know a lot of guys like me. And he is cute, I'll admit that. But…"
"But nothing." Elena said. "If you meet him again, promise me you'll ask him out."
"What? Why?" Sakura asked.
"Because he's cute and you're single and you've been a bit occupied with wrestling and singing. You need to relax, and that guy might help you with that." Elena replied.
"I suppose." Sakura said. "But what about his sisters. They're probably gonna poke fun even more now."
"If you can live through nine months of Boston crabs, you can handle a bit of teasing." Queen Bee said.
"Just promise me, Sakura." Elena said.
Sakura sighed with a smile. "All right. I promise."
"Perfect." Dawn said. "Now that that's settled, I think I should get on with training for my debut match."
"I'd be careful if I were you." Sakura said. "Hikari's small, but she is scrappy. And you're already on her bad side just for joining."`
"I'm sure I'll be fine." Dawn said. "At the end of our match, Hikari will regret going against me."
Author's Note: Sorry if this seemed like a short recap. Like I said, I originally meant to add this to the last chapter, but I decided to split them into two chapters. Thankfully, I was able to make up for it by introducing Yoshi Hirano, an OC created by Foxboy614, who gave me permission to use him.
Next chapter, we will have the match between Queen Bee and Hikari. Who do you think is going to win? Unlike my Xtrema story, I won't describe every single match in a single show. I will mostly just work on Queen Bee's matches.
Any and all comments are welcome.
