Good evening to you dear readers. I see that people follow my story and are even subscribed it makes me happy but you do not leave me a small trace of your passage. It would be interesting to know what you like or not like about this story. It is also a source of motivation to continue writing. I will make the choice not to tell everything about Hélène's story but important events, you will understand why this choice later.
Tom's POV
Think but how dare she? I am Tom Jedusor, many girls from all houses are at my feet and will dream of coming with me to this ridiculous ball and she dares to put me in plan. Malfoy was in front of me and waiting for my reaction, I was humiliated in front of him when the purpose of his presence was to show him not to covet what belongs to me. And I failed... Failure is not part of my vocabulary...
- "Abraxas sends a patronus to bring Black, Macmillan, Lestrange, Goyle and Crabb to the room on request !"
Tom admired Abraxas' impassibility, he remained dignified in any situation but Tom was frustrated that he had not yet managed to submit him entirely. Abraxas took his wand, he knew that the master's anger would turn against them. He threw his patronus and a basilica appeared. Abraxas was not a Slytherin for nothing, I looked at the luminous beast with envy. I was never able to cast this spell, I had to find a happy memory and deep in my memory I have none, between the orphanage, the betrayal of my mother.
I always considered myself a second-class wizard without recognition until the day when while researching I found my ancestry, Salazar Slytherin himself. So I looked at the books about my ancestor and I gradually entered into a dull madness, to resume my heritage. Even if Slytherin shared ideas well anchored in his time but he did not act enough to my taste, no I would be bigger than him, I will enslave these muggles and his dirty blood, destroy the traitors to their blood.
The first step was to bring to me the pure bloods of my house, now I have to find a way to bring to me the others including this Potter, this family is powerful but so stupid. The Black family being part of his group he hoped that Dorea would enter his ranks taking Charlus with him, everyone knew that they would one day be married, it was a matter of day. I walked towards the room on request followed closely by Abraxas. I entered the room on request and my first circle was there in front of him on my knees facing him. Abraxas placed himself at Lestrange's side and placed himself like all the others at my feet.
-"My dear friends, you are incapable. For a year nothing to move, you have not even managed to attract a new sidekick in our ranks. I am very disappointed in you. I'm going to give you a new mission... La Rosier was going to do everything for you to come to me, I want it and no one else! You're going to stop other men from approaching her, she has to feel vulnerable and isolated for me to have her. She is the one I need by my side. A pure blood beautiful, intelligent and that stands out. »
He saw his men flinching, all but one. Abraxas was there but did not move, he was impassive. I know how to recognize the courage of men but I can't stand anyone daring to challenge me. Because yes for Tom everything that does not fear him in his ranks is a danger, he had to break Abraxas while letting him believe that he would still have power. Tom decided to indulge his impulses and sent doloris against his henchmen.
POV Helen.
Make him wait, what an idea... I saw in his eyes the madness after these little words that's why I quickly left. I know that I have a chance right now to be close enough to him but deep down I know that this is dangerous, very dangerous. Helen settled into an armchair in the common room and waited for Abraxas.
I have to talk to him, he needs to tell me about Tom's intentions. I understand Tom's hierarchical system, Abraxas and Lestrange are the people closest to him the others gravitate around him hoping one day to take the place of Radolphus and Abraxas.
She waited and saw the whole group enter the common room. They had all exhausted and ached him. Only one person was absent: Tom and it was clearly not a coincidence.
-"Abraxas, can I talk to you?"
Abraxas tensed as if fighting against the urge to talk to him and much more and the threat hanging over him. The dolorises of his master were still too present not to be suspicious but his desire was too strong.
-"Of course, Helen... »
The others left the room with the fear that the master might learn of this exchange.
- "Abraxas... I hope you and I are friends. You were there when I asked for some time to think and I don't think Tom is someone used to this kind of situation. So I'll ask you, what should I do? »
Abraxas was thinking at a brisk pace, Tom was fragile, he became his friend and then he took power. Abraxas thought deep down that this woman could change everything, but the opposite was possible. Who was going to destroy whom? Abraxas was willing to take that risk and send Helen into the abyss. But in his heart, Abraxas wanted the beautiful Helen.
-"You risk nothing, he will do nothing to you... I think you should say yes and soon enough. Tom is someone who needs recognition. »
-"Okay. I trust you"
Abraxas went to his room, Helen realized at that moment that Tom's desires will always be greater than their friendship. You are not born bad after all. She prepared a note where she notes that she agreed to accompany Tom to the ball, she will find the right time to pass it on to him.
A week passed and I still hadn't found the right time to spread my word. It was difficult to approach him, his fan club was oppressive and I understood my mistake. I would have no choice but to do it in front of everyone, I had prepared myself and I especially imagined all the possible scenarios. I approached Tom and his henchmen none of them dared to look at me, Abraxas sent me a few discreet glances.
-"Hello Tom."
Tom straightened up and turned away from two Hufflepuff students, he was detailing Helen from top to bottom. It was the weekend, the students had the right to dress as he wished. Helen wore a long green dress, she had a slight neckline covered with a few strands of hair that had come off her bun. She had very little makeup, only her mouth was colored a deep red and her eyes illuminated with a light layer of makeup.
-"Can I help you Helen?" I could see that Tom wanted to make me languish like I did, but a certain gleam in his eyes didn't signal anything good.
-"I came to see you to tell you that our time for reflection was over. I would accompany you to the ball as you asked" The young women who had listened to this beginning of conversation were disappointed. But Tom's attitude did not change, no emotion came out, he was like stoic.
-"But Helen I never asked you for anything like that. I think you think you are too important, you should lower your desires my dear, you are just new. »
I felt bad but was not surprised, asking him to wait for me I knew that his reaction would not be that of a normal man, after all he is not. It was a feeble attempt at humiliation on his part. But I know what to do to reciprocate. I turned back to Abraxas, leaned over the table with both hands flat, I knew what it looked like but showing Tom what was missing could be a good alternative. Abraxas looked up at me and especially at my chest put particularly prominently in this dress.
-"Abraxas, you know you've always been my first choice but I don't know why (liar) you never dared to ask me. I'm not one to submit to a man and wait for him to take his role into his own hands. So would you agree to be my rider for the Christmas ball? »
-Yes, with pleasure...
(1) Abraxas is the name of a stone used by the Basilides... hence the basil.
