So as we know the next story will be covering events from the End of the First Gate of the Elder Gods covering the events that i left out of this story, and beyond opening up the road to futher explore Cathay's mysterious quest on Azeroth, cover the siege of Lorderon, find out how the Skaven reached the point within the Horde that they are now, the politics of the Vampires, ans then finally the events of Kul Tiras and Zandalar and how they might go differently or similar to how they went in the game with the addiction of the elements from Mallus.
And we'll see how these events will lead to further escalation of the war, and of the power of the thteats to each respective world.
Azeroth:
Alliance:
Stormwind: Anduin is on way to meet with the Empire, riots had taken place, Mathias Shaw and Genn Greymane currently run the capital city in Anduin's stead.
Ironforge: Engaged with the Horde in Stromgarde.
Gnomeregan: Engaged with the Horde in Stromegarde.
Stromgarde: Under heavy Horde invasion, high casualties, Danath Trollbane retains Stromgarde keep.
Kul Tiras: Endured internal Coup, Lord Admiralty retained power.
Gilneas: Kingdom still under Horde occupation, Glenn Greymane continues to prioritize Anduin's happyness above all else.
Darnassus: Partially occupied by Horde forces, Teldrassil destroyed, battles for Darkshore, Felwood, and Ashenvale are ongoing with routine raiding of Mount Hyjal. Controls the Hyjal portal to the Empire city ruins of Mordhiem.
Exodar: Minor losses, relatively uninvoled in war due to Argus campaign losses and raids by Horde aligned powers. Spreading warnings about potential Mallus threats.
Army of the Light: Providing a supporting role for the war effort and dealing with new influxes of non-Azerothean individuals.
Horde:
Durotar: Mostly recovered industrially from the SI:7 attack, maintaining the Horde invasion of Ashenvale and Darkshore, as well as all Horde southern military actions.
Darkspear Tribe: Actively supporting the Horde's combat and trying to negotiate with the Zandalari.
Mulgore: Devestated by the Imperial invasion, recovery has only just begun.
Forsaken Kingdom: Lost Undercity, but maintains strong holdings in the Eastern Kingdoms and is applying severe pressure against the Alliance Core states.
Quel'thalas: Participating in the war on an advisory and support role, also currently housing and feeding numerous Mallus individuals and Horde combatants before they go to the front.
Highmountain: Suffered losses in the invasion of Mulgore, otherwise untouched by the war.
Suramar: Untouched by war, providing magical support to the Horde at large.
Mag'har Clans: Still settling on Azeroth, trying to properly feed and house their people's and. delivering warnings to the Horde.
Bilgewater Cartel: Simultaneously proving the industrial base and banking loans to the Horde and Skaven.
Mallus:
Old World Kingdoms:
Empire of Man: Invasion army still scattered and returning, still deliberating on if they should participate in the Alliance's war or provide any more support than they had already.
Bretonnia: Still being the more horrific combination of French and British in the known multiverse the Gods still tremble at the memories of the frog leg biscuits and spiced wines. A thousand curses on whoever tells them that Azeroth exists allowing them to despoil that world with their bretonnian ways.
Estallia: Still getting disrespected by GW and Creative Assembly, still can't decide if they want to be fops, conquistadors, or rebel chads. Otherwise waiting on news from the Empire about this new world.
Tilia: Waiting on their mercs to return so they can start trying to milk it for more money. Simultaneously their merchant princes are still being jerks.
Kislev: Still miffed about the failures of the other worlders they invited into their nation, but not holding a grudge as the ever present threat of Chaos is taking too much of their efforts to hold back
Norsca: Many chieftains think their shamans have used too many 'herbs' and mushrooms in their magic drinks as they keep talking about blue people with floating mountains and magic gravity defying rocks...oh and this entirely seperate world called Azeroth filled with weird trolls, not daemons, and even weirder Elves.
The Under Empire: The Skaven actively send armies on mass to Azeroth including unaugmented females and breeders looking to sneak new generations of their respective clans onto the world without the notice of the others. Their forces die in the hundreds just to hold against the Alliances superior soldiers.
The Province of Sylvania: The Von Carstiens have not given their full support to the Horde but are likely soon to join the Horde fully on the concessions of lands and the promise of the Empire being given over to it's 'rightful' rulers.
The Karaz Ankor: The Dawi have yet to render true judgement upon the Alliance and Horde, but stand ready to fight should either be determined to be Wasaks with umgak oathbreakers in their midst.
Athel Loren: Isolationist, the forest has yet to decide upon the fate of the outsiders, but there are plenty of spirits who call for their slaughter, and more that call for them to be brought into the woods and made to join the elves of the woods.
The Wastes and Naggaroth:
Naggarond: The Dark Elves are aware of the portals, and are amused at the absolute outrage of the Chaos Dwarfs over the slaves on the other side of the portal. They only now fear the Witch King's disapproval if they act too soon.
Khorneittes: Eager for Blood they care not for gathering intelligence outside of how it might be used for war and bloodshed. Their last attempt to breach the portals left their champions and God confused and they now eagerly wait for their chance to slaughter the new souls once again.
Nurglittes: They remain inactive, watching, waiting and infesting.
The Slaaneshi: Little focus has been given to this new world, thought to spite Khorne they look for a way to reach this world first.
Disciples of Tzeentch: They wait for their master's scheme to unfold, perhaps he lies about being able to open more portals, perhaps he speaks the truth.
Naggarund: The Dawi-Zharr rage at their failure to capture the portal to their new pool of slaves, their industry is now turned towards this newest war with plans to conquer this portal and all the slaves there-in.
Others from accross Mallus:
Ulthuan: The High Elves are further disturbed by the portals, but hold back based on Teclis' promises that the Empire can see to stabalizing and potentially sealing these portals with the help of the Alliance.
Lustria: The Lizardmen are reading tablets, eating lizard catnip and doing lizard drugs trying to decide if they are going to friend or genocide...or both.
Cathay: Their plans are proceeding and their armies are on Azeroth and they are sending more.
Ind: ... I shouldn't bitch, but come on CA, GW give me some freaking hints here! Are we going off historic empires and which ones, or are we going heavily into 'not' serialized fantasy hinduism? I need something to use foundation wise!
Nippon: crashing car noises as the Subaru subgonate fights the Toyota clan.
Reviews:
Guest 1: Seeing that they don't exist they're weaker than the weakest Azerothean. But in Age of Sigmar when they do exist...eh it's hyper inconsistent, so they're either Warhammer Custodes level...or on par with a Imperial Greatsword but with magic bullshit backing them up.
Guest 2: Sadly this is a weakness imposed upon them by the Blizzard writers, 20 years of just "oh we automatically know and we dive in blindly expecting victory and all the vital info to just be handed to us, even realms that are 100% enemy territory owned by undefeatable foes"... *glares at Argus, Shadowlands, Northrend, and Nazjatar*
rollynolly: Remember, its always easier to let a deluded servant do your work for you...or your enemies defeat themselves for you...cue the newest "Indiana Jones" movie where he doesn't do shit, and the villains all kill themselves effectively.
Dragon King of the West: Still likely to happen that the Alliance and Horde have are still going to screw themselves over too much to put up a effective defense.
Ironwall: Honestly I can't see a political reason to chastise from the Empire POV on that one, outside his failures in fiscal commitments, especially if anyone who either came or sent a message with him tries putting off responsibility for the bill...as nobles of the Alliance often do as they assume everything in the world is free.
Ravenguard0009: Yeah the Horde's got the best Synergy of the current Mallus allies, while the Alliance is getting more or less the anti-synergy guys whose differing playstyles don't complement one another, yet allow for them to apply pressure independently forcing the other side to routinely switch up tactics.
But weirdly the Empire would need some of the more advanced low level technologies to convince them. such as rapid fire cartridges...deepite the fact that no one on Azeroth seems to actually HAVE those, and their Guns work off the Orkish power of "bullet comes out here when i pull trigger" . But the Empire isn't the type of nation, on the national level, to rely on others for production (hey stormwind how many hours would you last without Ironforge?...nah that's being generous, how many minutes?), and they're far, far more practical in their approach to tech and force deployment. Lessons that stormwind can learn... but are so spoiled they still haven't, choosing instead to be so gaudy that they make 40K ships look utilitarian and humble by compare.
But the Empire does have some bodies meant to regulate their mercenaries and even 'adventurers' but the second is a subsect of the first and is more for casting judgement on those people rather than providing support and throwing money at them. But certainly the Mercenary regulatory body could be adapted to handle the Azeroth Adventurers... who are basically glorified mercs who do odd jobs that mostly include murder as well.
unfortunately the Dragon Mommy has restraining orders already, she's like certain Youtubers on Twitter, she never meet you, doesn't know anyone whose around you, but you're already banned.
BloodRedRoses11: Lol since no specific Skaven is made Warchief, they would thus make the best Warchief...since they'd waste their time fighting themselves while trying to fluff up their importance and making a show of what "the true-best warchief would rule like" ... imagine it a warchief who doesn't micromanage or insist that everyone suffer for the sake of their whi...i mena Orc Guilt and rather spends all their time improving the Horde, even if it's because they're too busy trying to sabotage themselves.
I don't know why either, i mean she approves of Thrall, certainly it's not the suffering that he brings to the Horde and his fellow Orcs to soothe his needlessly burdened conscious and inherent "my children are guilty because they were born of the wrong species".
Hakuryuu: More we should be worried about the precedence that Azeroth set for him where "agree with me = good guy/ disagree = genocial monster or deluded idiot who supports genocidal monster"
You know Teclis is just there quoting Mr Popo "Bitch I do what i want!" before running away and hiding.
JiggyliFAP: rule of thumb everyone on Azeroth has some form of bullshit teleportation, again part of why I'm so critical of their warfare is the same reason i call everyone in the Star Trek universe soulless monsters, as they have options and tech to NOT get their own people killed and instead get their people killed on mass.
and skipping ahead, sooo the entire legion invasion only impacted Broken Shore...thanks for helping drive home my point of how absolutely underwhelming the Legion is basically embodying the opposite of the hype the fanboys quote endlessly at me. The people more concerned and affected by Varrien's death at the START of the Legion invasion, than by the planet wide "world ending" event that should have seen every town, city, and hamlet under attack by raining demons, and "space ships better than Warhammer 40Ks".
As for the Biplanes, eeeeehhh, just knowing how stupid short of runways those things need, Im still also of the mindset that Azeroth's industrial capacity or logistics isn't even a shadow of what the fanboys think, which considering that they have it at beyond what litteral galaxy spanning Empires can achieve, is still plenty. For frame of reference a propeller plane, the carbon cub aka the tourism plane, recently landed on a helipad 212 meters off the ground on a skyscraper, the pad was 27 meters wide from edge to edge, he landed and came to a stop at just after 20 meters...and then took off again using only the sevenish meters left on the helipad only dropping a few dozen meters before gaining enough lift. Runways aren't going to be a issue if the Gnomes are even half as competent as I think they are with my poor opinion of the intelligence of every living being on Azeroth. I'd also advise you to look up the USA's ""replacement"" for the A-10 the vastly more cost effective, but less durable, Skywarden. These aren't the vacuum cleaner engine, special snowflakes that are modern jet fighters, just give them a short strip of land without a tree in their way and for propeller planes it's been like that since the artillery crater filled runways of WW1.
yes...pandas...and to this day I'm more amazed they didn't die off naturally. One day, one day they and the Gnomes shall no longer blight the universe.
Our Dragon boi and his simps need land, but where is certainly TBD.
The Big Dragon Mommy certainly has some diverse children, their mindsets, natures, and abilities certainly are the most wide spread outside of the creations of Deathwing.
poor Blizzard can't prove that they're in with the modern kids... wouldn't it be terrible if people focused on good gameplay and good story telling just end up blowing them out of the water?
As for why no more hybrids...blame Blizzard's "Sonic OC, much arrigial, do nut steel" phase.
MadFrog2000: Exactly, time to cover more of the Azeroth side of the war with Skaven, Vampires, and more.
