The Loud sisters watched from the bottom of the stairs as in the living room there was Lincoln smiling and laughing as he was playing a video game against his father Larry; with Lori on the couch telling him all about what had been happening since they had last seen him with him able to listen and play at the same time. Their step siblings looked so happy being with the father and they hadn't seen them smile like that while spending time with them.
"What business does he have coming here? Interfering as we are trying to have them fit in as part of our family." fumed Lynn Jr ready to kick something; having already been upset when even her father sided against her trying to pull Lincoln into a game this time before they realised that Larry was there.
"Would things be simpler if he was deceased like our mum? Sigh." spoke Lucy as Lola just humphed and pointed towards Luna, Luan & Leni.
"This is your fault! Lori had been more upset with us than usual after your little stunt at that laser tag place!" Lola ranted as they looked taken aback.
"Hey! I had a solid plan but that monkey kept disobeying me; Lana was the one that said that it was well trained and behaved!" Luan complained pointing to Lana.
"It looked well behaved with all the tricks that I saw him doing!" Lana protested.
"I just felt so confused with both Luna and Luan keep telling me to do different things!" screamed Leni looking like she was going to faint.
"I thought that this wasn't such a good idea from the beginning and I tried to stop it! Plus I was the one making an effort to bond with Lincoln!" Luna brought up and Lynn Jr's eyes widened.
"What are you talking about? I was the one who has been trying to bond with him ever since they both arrived!" Lynn Jr retorted and Luna glared at her.
"Is that what you call trying to force him into doing sports with you when he clearly hates sports? I realised what music he likes and invited him to see his favourite band while you just want to mould him into what you imagine a brother would be like!" Luna replied and soon Lynn Sr & Rita came in to break them apart as they were getting looks from the Lymans.
"Girls; I beg of you to please go easier on Lincoln & Leni. Especially with Mr Lyman here." pleaded Lynn Sr making them be taken aback by the look on his face but they nodded.
"Good now to your rooms you 4 as remember your grounded." Rita spoke pointing to Leni, Luan, Luna & Lana and they sighed as they complied.
"What a bunch..." Larry muttered and Lori gave a humorless laugh as if it was a massive understatement.
"Yeah they have been a handful but I think most of them are trying. Had a great time with Luna at a SMOOCH concert that she took me to." Lincoln told Larry who smiled at that.
"Handful like what happened at the laser tag place." Larry asked and they blinked and looked towards him. "Your Uncle Leon was nearby and saw it transpire, he told me." explained Larry as they sighed.
"What a disaster; I wanted to pick Lincoln and his new friend Stella up. I thought that they could have ruined his new friendship before it could really begin..." groaned Lori.
"Was this you wanting to see if Lincoln befriending a girl would turn to romance again? I still remember you asking me if it was legal to marry the sibling of your sibling's spouse when Lincoln started being friends with Ronnie Anne." Larry brought up and Lori looked embarrassed and Lincoln giggled having remembered that.
"One more thing kids; if it gets too much for you two then could you tell your mother or I?" Larry ended up asking as Lincoln blinked.
"...I think I will dad..." Lincoln muttered.
"No need to ask me twice dad; as soon as I think that staying here is beyond a lost cause then I am on the phone." Lori stated with a serious look without hesitance.
