Fritz Electroscreech: I knew Bridgette would be a surprise/controversial choice for the fourth elimination. Also, you're in luck, this fic will only cover the first season, so no Sierra.
Puzzlefan 123: That always did bother me about the writing of Total Drama, particularly in Island. The writers clearly couldn't do mathematics correctly. In canon, even with Harold's performance in the talent show, the Bass still should've lost.
EeveeSweet777: Yeah, if it wasn't for Harold and his mad skills, Bridgette would've gone home in canon at that point.
The camera opens up on an early morning in Camp Wawanawkwa. The campers are all assembled in the campfire pit, as if it's time for the elimination ceremony.
Chris is at his spot at the podium, giving out instructions. "Today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills. You will all use this compass and map to find your camping spots deep in the woods."
He throw a compass and map to each team. Heather caught the Gophers' easily, while Courtney and Eva both tried to catch the Bass'.
They began to fight over it, eventually ripping the map in two. A nearby Duncan rolled his eyes.
"Once there, you will find food, set up shelter, and try to survive out in the wilderness for a whole night.", continued Chris. "Any questions?"
Nearly everyone raised a hand. "No questions, then? Good." Chris made to leave, then turned around. "Be warned. There are plenty of grizzly bears in these woods, so be extra careful during the night."
He chuckled darkly, then walked off.
"Um, did he say there are bears up in here?", said Leshawna, nervously.
"Oh, please. He's just telling us that to psych us out.", said Heather. "Now, c'mon, we've got another challenge to win."
The camera cut to the Bass walking through the woods. In the front, Courtney and Eva were arguing about what direction to take on the half-way ruined map.
The camera pans to the left to show Duncan glaring at the two bickering girls. Behind Duncan, Geoff was trudging through the underbrush, clearly depressed.
DJ walked up, and put a hand on Geoff's shoulder. "Hey, Geoff, you still hurting over losing Bridgette?"
"Yeah.", said Geoff, with a sigh.
"Look, dude, Bridgette wouldn't want you to mope around like this. She'd want you to keep going and win the competition! Right, Duncan?"
Duncan started and looked around. "Oh, uh, yeah, totally...", he said noncommittally, and went back to glaring at their two leaders.
Geoff just sighed and moved off.
At the back of the pack, Katie and Sadie spotted a blueberry bush.
"Oh my gosh, Sadie, look! Blueberries!", said Katie.
"OMG, I love, love, love blueberries!"
Sadie was about to reach down and pick a berry, when a hand stopped them.
"Hey, you guys need to stay with the group.", said Ezekiel, who had spotted the best friends stopping.
Sadie grunted. "We don't need a 'big strong man' to look after us. Just go back to the group, Ezekiel."
"But, you guys will get lost if you stop in one place!", said Zeke, as the girls tried to walk off.
"Don't worry, we can take care of ourselves.", said Katie.
She paused, however, when she and Sadie noticed that no one was around.
"Uh-oh.", she quietly said.
Meanwhile, with the Gophers, Noah was carrying a big bag. He was sweating and breathing heavily under the weight of the duffel bag, before finally dropping it to the ground.
"Remind me again: why do I have to carry all this stuff around?", said Noah, only for Justin to walk up.
"Sorry, Noah, but I need my beauty care products if we're going to be out in the wilderness." He shuddered at the very thought, before glaring at Noah. "Now, don't drop it again!"
Noah stared in disbelief at Justin, before turning to Heather. "Heather, I can't believe I'm asking for your help, but can you tell Justin off?"
Heather, however, was fanning her face at the sight of Justin, as was Leshawna, Gwen, Beth, and Lindsay. "You heard him. He needs his beauty care.", said Heather, breathlessly.
Noah rolled his eyes, as Justin smiled at him.
Ahead of them, Trent pushed back a bush, seeing a clearing. "Hey, guys, I think I've found it."
The Gophers all came over, and stared at a clearing filled with camping supplies.
At around the same time, the Bass had found their camp as well.
As they began unloading the supplies, Duncan looked around in confusion.
"Um, has anyone seen homeschool and the wonder twins?"
"Not since we started.", said Eva, without looking up from her bag of supplies.
Harold, however, looked around, surprised. "I thought Zeke was just behind me!"
Cut to deeper in the forest, as Ezekiel,Katie, and Sadie were walking through the trees.
Katie was in the lead, as evidenced by Ezekiel saying, "Do you see them yet, Katie?"
"No, I think we're hopelessly lost."
"Ugh, I knew we shouldn't have been following you!", said Sadie, stopping to get the dirt out of her sandals.
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, you're not the best with directions."
As the bickering started, Ezekiel, now looking more grumpy, pressed on.
Back at the Bass campsite, the tam was trying to get on without three of their members. As expected, another argument had appeared between Eva and Courtney.
"No, no, no!", said Courtney, as Eva came back with a couple of twigs for firewood. "You need to get bigger sticks for it to really blaze. Go back, do it again."
"Look, I've never been camping before, so don't frickin' yell at me!", said Eva.
Duncan, who was pitching a tent with Geoff, scowled at all the yelling. "Hey, I'm taking a walk, OK?"
Geoff, who still looked pretty sad, said, "Whatever."
Duncan rolled his eyes, then walked into the woods. He had been walking for five minutes when he heard something.
"Zeke! Ezekiel!!!" It was Harold, trying to find his lost friend.
"Still trying to find homeschool, dweeb.", he said.
Harold glared at the punk. "Yeah, loads better than listening to Courtney and Eva argue all the time."
(Duncan): If Eva and Courtney keep going at it, we're going to keep losing challenges. Someone needs to get rid of them, namely me. Plus, I'll need an alliance eventually.
Harold was about to leave, when Duncan grabbed his wrist.
"Hey, I can tell you hate Eva and Courtney just as much as I do. So, let's get rid of them."
"What do you mean?", said Harold, raising an eyebrow.
"Me, you, and Zeke form an alliance to get rid of the bickersons as soon as possible. That way, we'll stay in the winners' circle for a lot longer."
Harold still looks unconvinced.
"Plus, I'm pretty tight with Geoff and DJ. I'm sure I can sway their vote. That's five for our alliance!"
He stuck out a hand. "You in?"
Harold hesitated for a moment, then grasped Duncan's hand.
The camera cuts to Noah at the Gophers' campsite. He basically does all the setting up of camp all by himself; pitching the tent, gathering firewood, and picking some berries.
Once he was done, Heather walked up to him. "Wow, I've got to say, you're not as completely useless as I thought."
"Thanks, I think.", said Noah, a self-satisfied smirk on his face. "I learned it all in the scouts."
"At least someone's helping.", she said, turning to glare at Justin.
The model was leaning against a tree stump, admiring himself in a mirror, while Lindsay and Beth fanned him with large leaves.
"Oh, I'm sorry Heather, I can't help much since I just did my nails. You think they're perfect, right?"
He held them up. Heather glared, and Noah chuckled.
Once Heather stalked away, Cody walked up to Noah.
Before the geek could say anything, Noah said, "Look, I'm sorry I made that joke about you and Gwen."
"Oh, it's OK. I don't think I have much of a chance with her anyway."
"You want to go help me catch some rabbits. The scouts taught me that as well."
"Sure.", said Cody.
The sound of bickering echoed throughout the forest as Ezekiel, Katie, and Sadie walked into a large clearing. Ezekiel was pulling his toque down over his ears to drown out the best friends' arguing.
Finally, as they came across a cave, Ezekiel let loose.
"Would you two be quiet already!?", he yelled out, shocking the wonder twins. "I can't believe how much you guys fight. I didn't have a single friend before coming to this island, and f I did, I certainly wouldn't be arguing at every opportunity!"
AS Ezekiel breathed in heavily, Katie and Sadie looked at each other.
"Aw, Sadie, he's right. I don't want to keep arguing with you. I'm so sorry I said I was prettier than you."
"No, it was all my fault. Let's be friends forever!"
The two hugged each other, openly weeping at this point, as Ezekiel scratched his head in confusion.
Thunder rumbled in the distance. "Let's head into this cave, eh? At least it will be dry."
They did so, right on time. The rain started pouring as soon as they entered.
At both the Bass' and Gopher's camp, the tent flaps were closed and a fitful sleep started.
In the morning, at the Gopher's camp, Heather was impatiently tapping her foot outside the tent.
"C'mon, what's taking him so long!", she said.
"Um, Justin said he had to freshen up before we head back to camp.", said Lindsay.
"Yeah, he doesn't want to appear there with any imperfection.", said Beth. "It'll just take him a couple more minutes."
"Oh, I'll give him an imperfection.", grumbled Heather.
Soon after, Justin swept from the tent, all glamour and charm.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's 'hit the road', as they say.", he said, as Lindsay ad Beth obediently followed. Heather, Leshawna, and Gwen, however, glared impatiently at his retreating back.
Cut to inside the cave system, where Zeke and the best friends are sleeping.
Ezekiel is the first to wake. He sits up, stretches his creaking back, and finds himself face to face with a grizzly bear.
Soon, all three of them are screaming and running out of the cave, followed by the bear.
Cut back to the Gophers, who are running through the woods. Trent looks back, and sees an awful sight. Ezekiel, Katie, and Sadie racing up to them.
"Guys, the Bass are gaining on us.", said Trent, pointing.
"Let's book it.", said Noah, as everyone began building up seed.
Everyone that is, except Justin. He stopped and grabbed Lindsay and Beth's wrists.
"Hey, you guys, I don't want to get all hot and sweaty after doing all the beauty preparation. Do you mind... well, carrying me to the finish line."
"Sure!", said Lindsay immediately.
"I.. I don't know...", said Beth.
"C'mon, Beth, I'll give you a peck on the cheek."
Beth blushed furiously. "All right, let's do it."
The Gophers continued on their trek through the forest, unaware of Lindsay and Beth lagging behind carrying Justin.
"Who? Katie, Sadie, and Ezekiel? I'm pretty sure they were eaten by wolves last night.", sad Courtney.
"Darn shame.", said Duncan.
The Bass were currently the first ones at the camp, explaining to a present Chris where their missing teammates are.
Soon, however, the Gophers ran into camp. "Did we make it in time?", said a breathless Heather.
"Maybe. You see, the Bass appeared here without three of their teammates.", explained Chris.
"So, we win, right?", said Leshawna, hopefully.
"Um, actually, I'm seeing that you guys are missing three as well."
"What?", said Heather. "Wait, where's Lindsay and Beth?"
"And Justin?", said Gwen.
Immediately, Ezekiel, Katie and Sadie ran into camp. They began trying to tell them about the bear they encountered, but due to being completely out of breath, it was mostly unintelligible words and hand gestures.
"And the Killer Bass win the challenge!", yelled out Chris.
As the Bass cheered,a sweaty and disheveled Lindsay and Beth arrived, carrying an mmaculate Justin.
"Hey, guys, sorry we lost, but you know these feet were made for modeling, not running. I'll be down at the lake, swimming, if anyone wants to come admire my body." Justin walked off, leaving everyone glaring at him, even Lindsay and Beth.
At the campfire ceremony, it had all come dawn to Justin and Noah.
Chris smirked at the two of them, and held up the last marshmallow tantalizingly.
"And the final marshmallow goes to..."
Justin flashed his winning smile at Chris, only for it to drop into a hideous frown when Chris called Noah's name.
"What? You guys voted me off?", said Justin in shock.
Most of the girls just gave him nonchalant looks. Seeing this, Justin began to trudge away. At the last minute, he turned back, and said, "Be prepared for your ratings to drop. This show just got 90% less handsome!"
Teams
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Gwen, Lindsay, Heather, Trent, Noah, Leshawna, and Cody
Killer Bass: DJ, Geoff, Duncan, Harold, Katie, Sadie, Ezekiel, Eva, and Courtney
Eliminated: Owen, Izzy, Tyler, Bridgette, and Justin
Votes
Justin (8)
Noah (1)
This chapter was comparatively shorter than the others, due to the lack of material.
This is because Izzy wasn't there to pretend to be and accidentally attract a bear, and Bridgette wasn't there to burn the Bass' tent down.
However, be prepared for a longer chapter next time, as well as a shocking elimination!
