The following Friday night, the crowd helped themselves to some very entertaining matches. Some of which included Scarlet Fury gaining a win over Kasumi and Hiyori, Kurea defeating Chinatsu, and Misaki besting Tsukuyo. But after all that, the fans had been really anticipating this next match, one that was in the making for a long time.

First, Sakura Hagiwara came to the stage. She waved to her fans who cheered for her from the audience. She went into the ring and prepared herself for her opponent who came next. Rio Kazama took over the entrance stage in her purple cape and mask. As soon as she entered the ring, she removed them and shot a smug grin at Sakura who gave her a confident nod in return.

"This is a match we've all been waiting for! After these many months, it is time for the third match between Sakura Hagiwara and Rio Kazama! Rio decimated the idol in their first match and Sakura got her revenge in the second! Now, it's finally time to break the tie!"

DING-DING!

Both Sakura and Rio started with the classic collar-and-elbow tie-up at the center of the ring. Both girls struggled for control, each trying to gain an advantage over the other.

"Ready to settle this, Hagiwara?" Rio asked.

"Wouldn't be here otherwise." Sakura replied. She broke the tie-up and delivered a spiking dropkick that sent Rio running backwards.

Rio bounced off the ropes and ran back to Sakura. The pop idol extended her arm for a clothesline, but Rio gave a wicked grin. As soon as she was close enough, the white-haired wrestler got down on one knee and sent a strong uppercut to Sakura's stomach. Sakura gasped as she felt Rio's fist dig into her.

Rio returned to her feet and ran behind Sakura catching her in a waistlock. "You've seen what I do when I just want to get rid of you. But now, you get to see what happens to my rivals."

"Not now!" Sakura replied. She managed to slip out of Rio's hold and push her down while pulling her arm up. Rio grunted at this armbar, but she managed to get to the ropes.

"Rope break!" the referee called out.

Sakura let go and waited until Rio returned to her feet. Rio leaned on the ropes holding onto her arm. Sakura decided to take advantage of this by running to the other side of the ring and bouncing off the ropes. She flipped over to land a dropkick on Rio, but the white-haired wrestler revealed her playing-possum technique by swinging her arm at Sakura's incoming legs and letting her fall to the ground.

Rio lifted Sakura up to her feet and prepared to throw her in a suplex. She did so sending Sakura flying backwards crashing onto the mat gasping as she made impact. Rio covered Sakura with the pin.

1… 2…

Sakura managed to kick out of the pin. Of course, Rio wasn't surprised, so after the kickout, she immediately moved onto her next trick, the camel clutch. She pulled Sakura's head back making her yell.

"There's the diva voice that I like to hear." Rio taunted.

Sakura gritted her teeth as she removed her arms from behind Rio's legs and began to crawl. Rio tried to keep the diva from getting there, but Sakura eventually gripped on the bottom rope and the referee forced Rio to release her.

Rio wasn't done yet. As soon as Sakura was up on her feet, she was forced to bend forward and put her head between Rio's legs. Rio hooked Sakura's arms and got ready for the pedigree.

"Time to go to sleep, Hagiwara." Rio taunted as she was about to land the move.

Suddenly, Sakura regained her spirit and bent her legs before Rio could drop down. Rio looked down and was caught by surprise when Sakura countered quickly with the Sakura Special. Both of Sakura's feet made contact with Rio's chin and she fell backwards afterwards. Sakura, confident in her move, covered Rio for the pin.

1… 2…

Much to her surprise, Rio kicked out. Sakura paused in surprise for a moment, but remembered that the match was still going on. So Sakura pulled her back up before attempting to drop her back down in a DDT. Unfortunately, Rio stood her ground and let Sakura land on her back.

"Ready for your Boston crab?" Rio asked grabbing onto Sakura's leg.

"How about no?" Sakura asked as she used her free leg to kick Rio off.

Rio bounced off the ropes and ran back at Sakura, but the pop star slipped behind her and landed her with a German suplex. She kept ahold of Rio and lifted her up ready to drop her in a brainbuster. However, Rio escaped from the attempt and went behind Sakura before hitting her with a lung blower which made her gasp and cough loudly. Rio immediately transitioned by wrapping her arms around Sakura's neck and her legs around Sakura's body. She had applied her finishing rear naked choke, a move which has incapacitated several of Rio's opponents.

"Okay. Now, it's time for you to sleep, Hagiwara." Rio said. "You did very good. But it's time for me to take the lead."

Sakura knew that if she stayed still, he'd be knocked out in no time. Her only option was to move around until she could get to the rope like last time. However, Rio caught onto her plan and whenever Sakura was about to get to the rope, she rolled her back to the center of the ring. Sakura was getting dizzy feeling like she was just a few seconds away from blacking out like in her first match. Still, she had one more plan. Instead of rolling sideways, Sakura leaned back to push Rio's shoulders to the mat.

"What the…" Rio asked just as the referee was about to count.

1…

Rio realized the pin attempt and let go of Sakura who coughed the air back into her lungs. Rio smirked glaring at Sakura with a fire behind her eyes. Sakura shot back with her own burning gaze as well.

"Only you would think of something like that." Rio said. "Too bad next time, it won't work as well. Let's do this, Hagiwara."

"You're on!" Sakura yelled back running up to Rio at the center of the ring.

The audience cheered seeing both the idol and the athlete exchange blows with true passion. Sakura delivered a chop across Rio's chest. Rio shot a stomach punch. Sakura punched with a left hook. Rio countered with a headbutt.

Half of the crowd chanted Sakura's name while the other half chanted Rio's while they locked hands and pushed with all their strength. This was anyone's competition now and both girls were giving this match their all.

Sakura released Rio's hand only to bend down in her pop idol pose. She kicked both her feet upward with her Sakura Special. She knew what one last attack with her finishing move would finish the match. However, that turned out to not be the case.

Rio saw the kicks coming and tilted her head backwards to dodge both feet. The crowd gasped in amazement while Sakura was in disbelief. With Sakura flipping to an upside-down position, Rio caught her mid-flip with both of her arms before slamming her down in a piledriver. Sakura was close to blacking out. Then, Rio went to the top turnbuckle of the nearest corner before making a slicing motion across her neck with her thumb.

"You're definitely a worthy opponent, Sakura, but I'm breaking this tie. Let's end this."

Rio launched herself from the top of the corner flipping herself forward. She landed hip-first right onto Sakura's prone body making her gasp out clearly stunned by the splash. Rio then mounted on top of Sakura's body and pressed her arms down with her own hands waiting for the referee.

1… 2… 3!

DING-DING!

"The match is over! Both Hagiwara and Rio gave it their all for this match, but in the end, Rio broke the tie and gained the lead on their infamous rivalry!"

Rio took a very deep breath finally and rolled herself to lay right next to Sakura as she slowly woke up.

"I win." Rio said with a heavy breath.

"Yeah, I figured." Sakura replied with a heavy breath as well. "Thankfully, this wasn't one-sided like when we first met."

"Yeah. Thank goodness, because that was exciting." Rio said.

Both Sakura and Rio returned to their feet. They shook each other's hands gaining the cheers from the crowd.

"Next time, though, I'm taking a win." Sakura said with a confident smile.

"We'll see about that." Rio returned the smile.

Author's Note: And that's the Sakura vs Rio match. I admit, I was very indecisive on who should win this match. It bothered me for half of the week. I've consulted some friends, made a pros and cons list, and even did some games of chance. In the end, Rio got the majority. And so, she won. Hope no one is unsatisfied.

Next up with the Queen Bee vs Chocho match. Who do you think is going to win. Any and all comments are welcome.
