"When I said to go and make peace with yourself, I didn't mean to go, find, and hunt down the Hero Killer Stain."
I sat on the wall of the hospital room, facing into the room from the window. My arms were crossed, as were my legs, my left one flung over the right.
The three boys were starting to wake up, Iida being the first. I felt like I needed to be here to let them know exactly what I thought.
Iida seemed startled at my presence. He jumped and let out an exclamation of fright.
"Aizawa-Chan! What are you doing here!"
I shrugged, ignoring his question. "Then again," I said, "after hearing what happened to your family and then where you were interning at, I figured something like this would happen. I didn't even have to use my quirk-what do you make of that?"
He looked at me, confused still. I rolled my eyes and answered the question in his eyes as he put on his glasses.
"My father wasn't able to make the call since he has an internship of his own at the moment, so my aunt and I are here to substitute. Which brings me to this. What were you thinking?"
The other two seemed to have woken up because of Iida, but didn't say anything for a moment.
"I wanted revenge on him for what Stain did to my brother," he confessed.
I shrugged. "Fair enough. A lot of people would. Frankly, I'm proud of you for doing something. On the other side of the coin, however, I'm curious as to why you thought that you would be successful? Like, you're competent and smart, from what I've heard, and I'm not doubting that in the slightest. I just would like to know for...research purposes."
"I was driven by hatred," he said plainly, with severe conviction. "I wasn't thinking clearly at all. I don't know why I thought I would be able to finish him."
I nodded. "Well, nonetheless, I think my dad's going to spare the rod this time since he can't be here to actively enforce anything, but I would advise discretion in the future…" I looked at the other two. "How did you guys get involved?" I asked.
"They came to my aid unexpectedly," Iida-San said proudly. "I wouldn't be standing here today if not for them. I owe them my life."
Midoriya-San blushed a bit. Todoroki-San lowkey looked kind of high. A mix between 'I'm high' and 'I just woke up after a 25 hour nap.'
I pursed my lips. Oh, my goodness. He looked adorable.
I had to look away to prevent myself from smiling. "I'm glad you all are safe," I said. "But, what you did was really stupid. I think the Hosu Chief of police already showed up and gave you his statement...Correct?"
Todoroki looked stiff. Midoriya-San nodded. "Yes, he came yesterday morning."
"I see. I don't need to know what he said, but I'm glad I don't have to be here for that, at least."
Todoroki-San huffed.
Iida-San cracked a smile. "It was enlightening, though."
I didn't know how to respond, but that piqued my interest. I tilted my head curiously. "How so?"
"Todoroki was not happy with the conclusion," Midoriya said quickly. "They said that we did the wrong thing all in all. But, the opinion of the individuals was that we did good with the circumstance!"
I shrugged half-heartedly. "I say I'd agree with them."
Todoroki's face dropped, but just a bit. I sat up straight.
"What?" I asked with a small chuckle. "You're not heroes. You're not supposed to go out and pick fights, even if they deserved it. All in all though, we got the guy, so I mean...kudos. It was still against the law. That's all they were trying to say."
Todoroki seemed to realize what I was saying, relaxing a bit.
I broke the kind of awkward silence forming. "So...Other than this whole situation, how are internships going?"
"They were going well," Iida said casually, a slightly embarrassed smile on his lips. "Manual thankfully wasn't furious with me…"
I nodded again. "That's good. It kind of sucks to have a mentor mad at you."
I turned to the other two. "How about you?"
Todoroki seemed much more...haha...sober.
I crack myself up sometimes.
Midoriya looked nervous, but answered with a nod. "Yeah. My mentor is really helping me control my quirk so I don't get hurt with it. I'll uh…"
"That's really good," I said, nodding. I gave him a pointed look. Less is more, Midoriya-San.
He seemed to catch my drift and agreed with me with a simple nod.
"How about you, Todoroki-San?"
He shrugged. "Mostly training with my fire. My father wants me to use it more, and I have, but...It's irritating."
I hummed. "Sick of getting nagged?"
"Something like that."
"Ha, felt that."
A knock on the door took our attention away from one another.
"Come in," I said.
Aila's face popped out from behind the door. I lit up. She smiled widely at the three boys. "May I come in?"
"Of course!" Iida said cheerfully, louder now than I'd ever heard him before.
Aila stepped in, her dress covered by her loose, long jacket, her hair all nice and curled, her makeup flawless but not obvious. Her smile was bright as she walked in, putting her purse on the floor by the door.
"I hope I didn't interrupt anything," she said gently.
"Not at all, Aila-Chan," I said.
"Aila?" Midoriya said contemplatively. His hand went to rest on his chin. "That couldn't be...Aila Noraki, could it?"
She laughed, shrugging openly. "Here I am!"
He gasped. "Oh, wow! Pro Hero Shamrock! You were most commonly a sidekick to various agencies throughout your career, known for rescue missions, especially ones involving yakuza drug rings or prostitution joins and survivors of sexual assault! Known among the media as kind, caring, helpful and funny, you always know what to say to help out people and keep yourself on the media's good side, because goodness knows the heroes with a bad media rep tend to fall short except for, of course, Endeavor who has never really had a good rep with anyone, but he is still number two-"
"Midoriya."
"Oh, sorry…"
I smiled. "Iida-San, Todoroki-San, Midoriya-San, this is Noraki Aila, my aunt. Aila-Cha, meet Iida Tenya, Todoroki Shoto, and Midoriya Izuku. These are my father's students."
Aila-Chan bowed. "I would introduce myself, but it doesn't seem like I need to."
Midoriya blushed.
"So...you're Pro Hero Shamrock?" Todoroki-San asked.
"Yes, I am," she nodded. She looked at the three of them in turn. "Wow… quite the rebellious bunch we have here...First, young Iida-Tan, from the Iida family line-oh, wow! You've definitely grown up. The last time I saw you, you were probably….Oh, maybe eight years old? Man, you've changed a lot. Then we have Todoroki-San, son of the number two hero, good to see you again... and...I haven't met you yet. A diamond in the rough, I assume?" She looked at Midoriya. He seemed shell shocked.
She continued. "Well, rebellious as they are, they're kinda cute too, don't you think, Sami?"
She was looking at me pointedly. I glared right at her catlike grin as I saw all of the boys' gazed turn to me.
I turned away indignantly. I refused to blush.
I rolled my eyes. "I suppose."
I heard Aila-Chan snicker and all I wanted to do now was sink into the floor.
"Well, just be glad that Eraserhead was preoccupied with another internship. He sent me in his stead, but just think if he really was here? Ooh," she shuddered, "I wouldn't bet that you'd make it," she almost teased.
She and I saw Iida-San bow his head in shame.
She caught herself though.
"But, he's decided to cut you some slack this time since he can't be here to enforce anything anyway. And I don't plan on punishing you, so you get out of yet another situation," she smiled cheekily. "Don't get used to it, though."
"We won't." Iida-San said with determination.
"Good. Now…" she looked around the room as if looking for someone listening in. "Well, as far as it goes, I think you guys were awesome out there."
The boys perked up after hearing that. Todoroki tilted his head. "Really?"
"Yeah!" she said enthusiastically. "Ever since I heard what happened to Ingenium, I'd been waiting for Stain to get his. I just...didn't expect you guys to be the ones to give it to him," she chuckled lightly.
She straightened out and looked at all three of them again. "You three boys were very brave to go after him like that. Stupid, but brave. I'm glad that we have you as our next generation of Heroes. We need more of them out there that are like you."
There was a gratifying silence in the room. All three of the boys were looking at one another with smiles.
"However," she said again, "I do not condone what you three did because-like I said before-it was stupid. Don't ever do that, or anything like it, again. It's for your own good."
"It...it may not be my place to ask," Todoroki-San spoke up, "But...who are you to be saying this to us?"
She grinned madly, placing one hand on her hip, the other in the hair and kicking one of her legs out, she said, "I'm nothing but U.A.'s soon-to-be newest teacher!"
My jaw dropped. "Wait, really?!"
"Heck yeah!" she punched the air excitedly. I haven't seen her this hyped since I was little. "It's not entirely official yet, but all I have to do is sign a few papers and have an interview with Nezu, and I should be starting soon! Oh, this is going to make top news, I bet!"
"Well, duh! It made top news when you moved!" I said. "I can't believe it...when did this happen?"
"Yesterday," she said. "That was why I was delayed when we were getting ready to go."
"Oh, so that's why?" I smirked. I knew that she and Naomasa-San had reunited, and I thought that the reason why we were late was because they...reunited reunited.
I decided to use this obvious assumption to my advantage, and tease her to get her back for the stunt she pulled with me earlier.
She smiled sweetly at me, smugly, knowing exactly what I was doing.
Through her skin tint, I watched her blush.
"Yes, in fact," she said indignantly. "That is where I was. Naomasa kindly decided to accompany me, thank you," she finished haughtily.
My quirk flashed and she rolled her eyes. I squinted at her.
Well, she wasn't lying, but she wasn't telling the whole truth either.
I decided to say nothing of it.
"Naomasa?" Midoriya asked, confused. "Do you mean Officer Tsukauchi?"
She blushed harder. I smiled wider.
"Yes," She confirmed. "Officer Tsukauchi. He and I are...well, we're romantically involved."
"O-oh!" Midoriya-San blinked. "I-I, uh, I'm sorry to ask such a personal question! I had no idea-"
"Woah, woah, woah, hey kid," she laughed. "It's okay! People were bound to find out sooner or later. Just...don't tell anyone you know, okay? I want this to be a secret from the public, you got it? We both get enough attention as it is."
"Of course!"
She smiled. "Okay. Well, then...I don't really have anything else to say...Anyone have any questions?"
"Well, I for one do," Iida-San spoke up. "...How are you related to Aizawa-Chan?"
"I'm her aunt."
"Oh," he said. "On her mother's side, I assume?"
She giggled. "Yes. on her mother's side."
"Hmmm…" Iida looked down, his good hand touching his chin. "That would mean...that since you are a Noraki by blood, then you would have had to have a sister that had Samiko, probably older."
Aila pursed her lips in amusement, her eyes glittering with mirth.
"But the Noraki family only had two daughters," Todoroki-San spoke up. "Shamrock and Pro Hero Mirawr, who died almost eight years ago-"
It seemed to hit them then. Midoriya already knew and we exchanged a glance.
Todoroki-San and Iida-San immediately turned to me, a certain urgency in their tone.
"Your mother was Mirawr?!" They asked simultaneously.
I huffed, simply shrugging. "Surprise," I said with a smile. "I mean, I got my quirk from her, kinda, so...yes?"
They looked away at Aila, then the floor, then Midoriya, then me again, then back to Midoriya.
Todoroki-san seemed peeved. "I suppose you already knew about this, Midoriya-Kun?"
He nodded sheepishly.
Todoroki scoffed. "Of course. It's kind of obvious, if you think about it."
"Just don't tell anyone this either," I said. "Mina-San wants to know really badly, and I want to wait to tell everyone."
"Oh, of course!" Iida-San said forcefully. "Your life and business is private, and we shall respect your wishes, as true heroes would!"
I smiled gratefully. "Thank you. Truly."
"Not a problem at all!"
.o0o.
We had to leave fairly early in the day, but we were able to stay for a night or two, spending some time with them.
When it came time to go back home, I was genuinely disappointed. I had gotten to know these people better, and it felt…
...it felt like I finally had a friend. Or two. Or three.
And it...it felt great.
In the end, I decided to approach Midoriya before he was discharged from the hospital.
"Hey."
He turned around, smiling at me. "Oh, hi Samiko-Chan. Is there something wrong?"
"Yeah," I said confidently. "You don't have a way to contact me. You know, in case you run into another villain in an alleyway. I could have gotten here much faster if I had."
He looked at me blankly before smiling widely. "You're right!"
He pulled out his phone and I pulled out mine. Yessssss success!
We exchanged numbers and waved each other goodbye as he left for his internship. I smiled as I watched him go.
That was smooth, Samiko.
I heard Aila's heels clicking up from behind me.
"Huh…" I heard her say. "Midoriya-Kun? I would have thought Todoroki-Kun was more your type."
I whirled on her. "Can you stop trying to set me up with people from the hero course?!"
She just laughed.
She hugged me around my shoulders, and I couldn't help but laugh along with her.

A/N: A longer one this time. I hope this makes up for being late lol. Hope you enjoy!
