Chapter 50: Recruitment Drive

EARTH M-199999

Steve stood in front of everyone.

"Okay, I'm not going to mince words. There is very little I can tell any of you. This situation is like none other, you are going somewhere new, and you're going in mostly blind. We can't be sure what you're going to find on the other side. Things are going to go wrong; if those worlds are anything like ours right now, everyone will be on edge. Listen to your instincts; try to keep your head down and stay out of trouble. If things go sideways, call us, and we will pull you back. "

Tony couldn't help but snark, "That isn't as inspiring as you usually are."

"Just stating the facts,"

"My turn!" The Doctor stood up; she held up a small watch-like device, "Okay, so special thanks to Mickey." She waved at Mickey sitting nearby, "He helped on the dimensional canons the first and second set in Pete's world. I guess you don't know about Pete's world. It was a parallel universe we visited, and Mickey decided to live on for a few years. But never mind, with his help and Alexis, we pulled it together on time."

Missy rolled her eyes, "Get to the point!"

The Doctor just scoffed, "Alright, these serve as beacons and communications devices. These are prototypes, so it will probably be spotty. But we are reasonably sure it should be fine. It should allow us to connect through Scout and put out a low-level translation field. It's based on the one I had with the Tardis. It should figure out languages, so don't be surprised if everything looks like English. It translates it right into your head. Otherwise, don't lose them. And let us know about any issues for the next update."

Tony stood by the gate; the other stood by the controls. Rhodey gave him a thumbs up. They were supposed to be low key, not draw attention to themselves. He wore something rather unassuming, some jeans, an AC DC shirt, and a jacket.

He wasn't sure if the others were going to be as subtle. The Doctor's style was bold, and she tended to be a bit off.

Alexis was wearing a t-shirt with some weird logo and a large blue coat and was stuffing his pockets with a large sword. Tony was about to say something, but the sword vanished into a pocket. Tony would have asked but chalked it up to magic.

He was going to ask later.

At the moment, he just watched as Alexis forced Scarlett to take his control. In case worse scenario thing.

"I'm not going to need it," Alexis told the redhead.

"Neither am I."

"I know, but just take it. You know me, I'll find my way back no matter what. It - it would just make me feel better."

Scarlett sighed; she tugged on a red coat. Tony wondered if they planned that. Sticking out of one of her inner pockets, he saw one the handles of that sword she came with.

Yeah, Tony was going to have to ask how they did that.

On the other side, he could make out The Doctor talking to Jenny, "Okay, so stay close to them and be careful."

"I't's fine, dad. I was traveling on my own for a bit before I found you."

"I know, I know, it's just," The Doctor sighed, "I- I thought I lost you, and I just- don't want anything to happen to you now."

"I'll be back."

Natasha took a step forward, "I'll keep on eye on her. I'll make sure she comes back."

The Doctor smiled, "Be sure you do."

This group was a bit more discreet, though maybe by not. Natasha was wearing her usual black mission outfit. Jenny was wearing a pair of jeans, a dark green shirt, on her belt hung one of the Gallifreyan seals from her armor, sort of a belt buckle.

At the Controls, Bruce looked over the readings, Jack and Missy double checking while CPU and Darkhelm triple checked.

Scott was checking the power levels. "Yeah, it looks good. Ready?"

Alexis remarked, "No, but why let that stop us."

"Good policy," Missy pulled a switch as the doorways before the groups hummed to life.

Before Tony space warped and an alleyway opened up before him.

Before Natasha, she was the back of a building.

CPU confirmed, "Readings are good."

They walked through.

Tony took a breath as he found himself on the other side of a tear in space.

"Well, we're not dead," Tony remarked.

The others followed suit, and the portal closed behind them.

"Tony?" Steve's voice came out of the watch device, "How's everything?"

"Still breathing, still in one piece, so far so good."

"We have safely traveled into this universe." The Doctor added, "Keep the machines running, and we will alert you if anything happens."

"Nat?" Bruce's voice rang out.

"We made it; we are going to do a preliminary check, we will report back later."

"Okay, good, stay safe."

Nat turned off the device and decided to check the area.

Everyone still had things to do.

Scott was the first to speak, "I'm going to check on Ava."

"I'll come with." Martha offered.

Rhodey checked his phone, "I gotta make a call."

Steve was sure he was going to check in with Pepper, she'd want to know that Tony wasn't on the planet anymore.

Rocket jumped off a chair, "Okay, le' ts go back to that lab. Still looking through all that alien tech."

"There might be something useful." Bruce scratched his head.

"Didn't help those who brought them," Mickey pointed out.

Nebula agreed, "True, but there might be some more footage or a clue to where Father went."

"I'll monitor things," Missy made herself at home in front of the controls.

Jack sat next to her, "I'll keep you company."

"You don't trust me, do you?"

"You tortured me and killed me for a year."

"Is that a no?"

"Yes, it's a no. It would be so easy for you to strand the Doctor on another universe."

"Yes, but that would be too easy. Believe it or not, I've changed. Plus, I have those two robots keeping an eye on me and my work." She motioned to CPU and Darkhelm, Darkhelm waving at them.

"Still," Jack insisted.

Steve watched the other leave and their back and forth.

This was far from a tight-knit team, but it was a start.

EARTH TMNI-404

ACADEMY CITY, JAPAN

In a windowless building in the Center of Academy City, in the most secure room, there a person suspended upside in a liquid-filled tube. That was Aleister Crowley, the General Superintendent of Academy City. They floated in the center of the liquid, they looked untouched by the world, neither saint nor sinner, neither man nor woman, neither living nor dead.

It had been a trying few days since the incident occurred. Both the magical and science sides did not know about the event. Crowley guessed that this might have been the work of a magic god. That did seem unlikely; this seemed random for them. The fact was that he had made sure that all of them were either dead or trapped in another unused phase dimension.

Well, except for Othinus, but she had been depowered, and he had confirmed that she had vanished.

What worse was that that Aiwass had vanished too. That he thought would be impossible. Aiwass should be able to reform even in the worst-case scenario.

There was a lot of data he was trying to get through, and he couldn't understand.

Outside of his tube, holographic screens manifest all around him, showcasing every bit of data he had gathered.

There didn't seem to be any pattern they could make out.

No ability or power seemed to have helped anyone.

And much to his chagrin, most of the Level Fives had vanished. One of the screens flashed of the several level fives, Number 2 Dark Matter, Number 4 Meltdowner, and Number 7 Attack Crash, had survived the purge.

He had plans, and this purge had derailed them. Even as his computer continued to take a census, scientists, espers, also living experiments that were kept secret had vanished.

Every form of life he could locate seemed to be affected.

There was an alert, and suddenly a new screen popped up. Crowley had a secret network of tiny machines all through the city, keeping track of every detail for him, it was called UNDER_LINE.

Live footage began to play before, a strange distortion in space in the middle of an alley. Aleister quickly ordered scanners, and satellites to turn their attention to the anomaly.

From out of the portal walked out two men and one woman.

Crowley listened to their conversation, trying to heck into the frequency they were using. The readings they were getting were fascinating.

Crowley smiled to himself.

0000

As Tony finished the call, the Doctor spun on her heel looked around her as expecting to find something. She seemed to try to taste the air.

Alexis tapped away at his usual watch as a small holographic screen popped up. "Okay, Scout, what do you have for us."

Not much.

"What do you mean, not much? You're one of a kind magical computer trojan horse AI I made. This city is chuck full of tech for you to mess around with."

Don't get like that. Something is interfering with my search. The security is exceptionally tight around the target. I had to leave before I was found out.

"That shouldn't be possible; we are missing something."

0000

So it seems he was dealing with sliders, he'd believed that there was no such thing as alternate universes. That had been a surprise.

Crowley had detected something trying to infiltrate his systems, he had acted quickly, but whenever he discovered it vanished almost like it knew someone was searching for it. It was interesting; someone seemed to have managed to integrate magic and science. This foreigner would be interesting. There are several strange results he was getting from that coat of his.

The other would be interesting as well. The woman was giving him some strange readings; the scans showed she had some peculiar biology. Just from the scans showed him that she had two hearts, and some sort of respiratory bypass system. Crowley couldn't help but wonder what they would discover by examining her.

She was either a heavily modified human or if he dares say some sort of alien life form.

Finally, the man with the goatee seemed reasonably normal. Though there was a strange device on his chest, he couldn't get a proper scan on it but did detect a somewhat impressive source of power.

With all that in mind plus the possibility, they would have answers on the phenomena they were targets he couldn't resist.

"Dammit, Scout," Scarlett whispered.

"This place," Jenny began, "It seems like its replicating pre-industrial Asian cultures."

"Okay," Natasha let out, "That will make things harder for us, but we stick to the plan. Try not to bring attention to ourselves until we can find out the target."

Scarlett blinked, "Yeah, okay, we have two blondes and redheads, and you want us to blend in. I'm sure you're a great actress I don't think people will think your Asi-"

"Not what I meant," The Black Widow stopped her, "we find some clothes and stick to the shadows; just try not to stand out. We have to be careful if we look like we're trying; we will just stick out more than our hair would."

"Clothes I can do," Scarlett sighed, "I'm not a master magician I can do some magic."

"Magic?" Natasha felt a tinge of pain; this red-haired woman reminded her of Wanda and the name the public had come to call her.

"Hm," Scarlett mused.

"Is something the matter?" Jenny asked her.

"Uh, I don't think so. Magic is … weird here. The energies feel off. I can cope." Scarlett raised her hands as weird energies began to flicker from her fingers. "Vindeantur quae de his volo ut fiat ut videam."

With a flash of light, their clothes seemed to change, matching the clothing of the people in the streets.

Jenny took a moment to look at her outfit; it was a yellow tunic-like outfit with green highlights, a dark green headband.

Natasha's outfit changed into a dark, almost dress-like outfit. The dress was sleeveless, but she had on two elbow-length gloves.

Scarlett's outfit changed too; it was a simple, mostly dark orange outfit with red highlights. A black corset held her outfit together.

"That worked," Natasha studied her clothes.

"Sort of," Scarlett felt her clothes, "I'm just making our clothes look like this. Nothing changed. There is a layer to it that should make it harder for people to notice us."

"A perception filter?" Jenny wagered.

"Yeah, if we don't bring too much attention to use, it should work. Maybe."

"Good work," Natasha nodded, "So, you just know magic?"

Scarlett nodded, "Yeah, well, I was raised by demons. They wanted to kill someone and steal his soul. I picked up a few things."

Natasha blinked, realizing she was serious, "Huh, and I thought my childhood was messed up."

EARTH TMNI-404

The group had moved to a phone booth; all three of them were surprised there was still phone booth there.

Connecting wireless into it through Alexis' watch, Scout started to show them what he found.

"Touma Kamijou," Doctor read the file, "Ranked a level zero. No powers."

"But," Tony continued," Layers of date beneath layers, someone was trying to hide some things about him. He has a power called Imagine Breaker, can negate supernatural power and abilities."

"But no address or anything," Alexis mused, "Digging to much deeper and alerts go off, and Scout couldn't risk it."

The Doctor pulled out her screwdriver and waved it at the screen by the phone, "Let me try my skillz."

"Did you just say skills with a Z?" Tony gasped.

"Yes, I did," The Doctor smirked, "Let's see some history. After war world 2, Academy City was founded, recruit a majority of the world-leading minds to work here, and develop different sciences. Focusing on psychics sciences,"

"Hm, that troublesome." Alexis mused, "I mean, psychics are a thing. They do pop up naturally, and the Stargate program showed some promise."

"Really?" Tony asked.

"Yeah, I'm a little psychic," Alexis told him.

"Really?"

"Nothing impressive, I'm a low-level precog. Sometimes I get a vision when I'm letting my mind wander. It mostly gives me a heads up if something is about to happen. Like warning me to move if I'm about to be hit. It makes me seem like I have better reflexes."

The Doctor shrugged, "Just a bit telepathic, perceive time too. My whole people could do it."

"So, I'm the only one without some sort of psychic power."

"That might be a good thing," Her tone grew stern, "The psychic power development program focuses on children. They're working on the principle of projecting a personal reality. There are six levels, zeroes which are most of the people in the city who have little to no power. To level fives with the greatest powers."

Tony noticed both his companions seemed a tad tense an angry. "There is no level 6?"

"They're working on it." The Doctor surmised.

"How can you tell?"

"This whole program is based on shifting reality; someone is using kids because they don't have firm realities yet. They're still learning and adapting to the world. Going by the charts they give me, a Level six would, in essence, be able to reshape reality itself. Change reality to match their perception, their dream of reality. Someone has spent decades on this project, testing on children—even reports of secret and highly unethical experiments happening in the shadows to further such experiments. Probably allowed by higher powers in secret for their own goals as long as they don't lead back to them. If it gets a result, let them go as dark as they want."

"Why would someone do that?" Tony asked.

"If it's not a government," Alexis grit his teeth, "then it's personal, something went wrong in their lives. Probably something they could never control. A death, my guess. Someone wants the power to change that. And I'm starting to get why Scout is having trouble here, someone trying to reach for godhood is a control freak and dangerous."

Tony realized something, "I'm guessing you two have run into these kinds of people."

Then he realized it, Thanos. Someone is trying to make up for something that went wrong and willing to hurt people to do it. To become a god and change the world.

Even if it wasn't on Thanos' scale, this was wrong; no one should have that kind of power.

Oh no!

The Trio looked at the screen and understood why Scout interrupted them.

0000

Yomikawa, an Officer in Anti-Skill, put on her body armor. She yelled loudly in the officer, "We have a report on their location. We are moving out now!"

0000

Mugino snarled as she looked at the message on her phone. "Kinuhata! We're going out."

0000

The young Rita Lizumi pulled on her flu mask as her team; The Scavenger looked at the message. They had three new targets.

0000

A tall woman wearing torn jeans walked silently into the city, a long sword at her hip. At her side was a teenaged girl with purple hair, holding a bag that contained her weapon.

0000

On top of a building stood a boy with spiky hair, his jacket sat on his shoulder and flapped behind him against the wind fluttered around him.

He looked at his phone as anger boiling up in his guts. He didn't even notice as a white beetle landing next to him.

0000

The Trio paled.

"This is very not good," The Doctor muttered.

The screen showed their pictures along with a tag line that said, "Terrorists spotted in the city. If spotted, inform Anti-Skill immediately. Should be treated as highly dangerous. Wanted for questioning for possible connection to the Dusting Phenomena."

"If people see this," Alexis gasped, "It's phrased that people will think we caused it!"

"How do they have out pictures already!" Tony yelled, "We haven't been here a half-hour!"

The Doctor whirled her screwdriver in the air, sparks erupted around them, "I knew something was off! Some sort of nanomachines, they must have been spying on us the moment we got here!"

"We got to hide!" Alexis ran his fingers through his hair, "If this place is as secretly corrupt as I think it is…. we don't want to be caught."

"I think it's too late for that," The Doctor held out the screwdriver again, as the device hummed something happened. "Shimmer."

The air shimmered as cloaking device shut down; several large, almost spider-like black mechs surrounded them. Some of the mechs were even on the walls preparing to attack.

Shutaura Sequenzia sat in the lead mech, the leader of the Black Crow Unit typed at the controls trying to understand why the cloaking device shut down.

She decided to ignore it; she turned on the speaker, "We are the Black Crow Unit, working directly for the governing board directors of Academy city. Surrender now!" Weapons pointed at them.

The Trio looked at the mech and knew that they weren't given an option.

0000

The news on the Tv continued flashed the Trio's faces.

"It is recommended that everyone stay indoors until furt-"

Touma Kamijou turned off the Tv as he hurried to put on his shoes.

"Meow!" Sphynx mewled in the bag.

"I know, I know," Touma told the pet.

They had run out of food yesterday, right now because of the Dusting Phenomea most stores weren't open. A website was up that was telling them who was open and when. A local store would be open for a few hours today, and he knew it would be mobbed by everyone who needed food. If he wanted food, he had to go now! He raced outside, not even the tiniest bit aware of the danger that waited outside.

EARTH ALA-221

BA SING SE, EARTH KINGDOM

Aang looked around; the Earth was there but saddened at the loss of his people and his pet bear. Aang still didn't get why he had a bear as a pet.

Zuko had arrived late, it wasn't a quick trip, and it didn't help that he had to make sure Iroh came to help cover for him. The Fire Nation had been very organized, so that helped, but with half the people gone, there was still a lot of panic.

It didn't help his newly discovered sister had vanished, leaving his mother distraught.

Katara had been elected to represent the Water Tribes, both because she was the daughter of the Chief of the Southern Tribe and had connections to the Northern tribe. Also, no one else could arrive for a while. Without Appa, traveling was much slower.

Aang tried not to focus on those thoughts.

They were all gathered in a temple devoted to a long-forgotten spirit when known solely as Infinity. Aang stood in front of a tall statue of a cloaked figure with a smooth face, with two circles attached together on said face. He held out his hands out, one hand holding out an orb with three interlacing triangles made of three dots each.

"Okay, who is that?" Katara asked. "I've never heard of a spirit called Infinity."

"That's a little hard to explain," The Earth King scratched his head, "The legend goes that thousands of years ago when Ba Sing Se was just starting a spirit arrived. It helped people build structures; it helped up find minerals; it help us grow food and prosper. Then one day it left, it asked for use to build a temple at this very spot."

The spot was something weird, under the ground tunnel with lit by large glowing crystals.

"He said only that this would be a sanctuary for the Earth King in the worse of times, to serve as a way for the Avatar to reach the spirits."

"I've never heard of this Infinity guy," Aang told them, "but I feel it, its like the Spirit Oasis here. It kinda feels fresher, though."

Just traveling there, Aang felt something that the Spirit World felt closer somehow.

Aang sat down before the statue.

"Aang," Katara asked him. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Aang nodded, "I think I have to. I don't know what caused, no one does. I don't think the Spirit could have done it; I don't know why they would. But maybe they know something."

"Okay, just try and be careful."

"This might take a while, so don't wait for me." Aang closed his eyes, he immediately found himself floating in the spirit world, "That was easier than I thought."

Katara, Zuko, and the Earth King stood there.

Earth King just said, "So, should we start talking?"

0000

Out of the Earth King's palace, the walls were met with scared and angry citizens demanding answers and solutions. At the other wall, Suki and remaining Kyoshi Warriors Warriors were trying to keep the peace.

Scarlett held out her smartphone, Scout was leading them along, he'd managed to sense the Avatar by the power he had.

"Does that look the Forbidden City?" Natasha pointed to the walls the blocked the palace.

Jenny just looked on, "Its parallel equivalent ni this universe?"

"And yeah, the guy we are looking for passes those walls." Scarlett sighed, double-checking the results.

"I don't think they will just let us get through." Nat murmured to herself.

Scarlett looked at the device, "Maybe…"

She could use the remote like how Alexis had and portal pass the walls, but not get all that close. Scout could do scans, but it couldn't ping down this Avatar. All the program told me that there was an unusual anomaly making it challenging to get a reliable scan.

It was a spot that was exceptionally weak between dimensions.

0000

The Kyoshi warriors were helping Guard outside; they often dealt more with people on a hands-on basis.

The inner Guards did their best to make up for their loss in numbers. One guard paused as he heard something coming from the throne room. The should not be there; he decided to investigate.

He opened up to the door, and his eyes bulge to find a man sitting on the throne, and it wasn't the KingKing.

It was Long Fei, the leader of the Dai Li, who was supposed to be imprisoned for what he and the Dai Li had done. Before the Guard could react the ground bulge and tossed him towards the throne, he fell to the floor skidding to stop.

The Guard looked to find several members of the Dai Li in the throne room as well. All dressed in green and black uniforms with round hats.

None of them should be there; they were banished after it was revealed their actions as secret police, trying to control the kingdom in secret, and siding with the Fire Nation Princess when she took over the kingdom. They must have snuck back in and freed Feng.

Long Feng got off from the throne, "Where is the Earth King?"

The Guard knew that he couldn't win against so many, he had to act. He kicked his foot on the ground as hard as he could. The Dai Li prepared to block the attack, but it didn't work as the wall to the throne was ripped apart with a stone pillar cutting through it.

It wasn't an attack; he was trying to make enough noise to draw more guards.

One of the Dai Li Earth bent the ground sucking the Guard below.

"This is just getting masturbatory." Indigo sighed as she worked the scanner on the ship.

Lex worked the controls of the Brainiac's ship.

Well, Lex 0.

They had decided to refer to each Lex by their simplified universes numbers.

The older Lex in a suit and lab coat was Lex 96.

The thing beared one in the black suit was Lex 38.

The one in the white suit-wearing a single black clove was Lex 167.

They had gathered a few new members of their legion of Luthors.

A Lex Luthor in a purple shirt and green pants was the leader of Legion of Doom who fought Superman and his super friends; he was Luthor 73.

Luthor 217 was a Lex who often fought the Justice League; he wore a gold and black battle suit with the Lexcorp logo glowing green on his chest

Lex 24 wore his typical black suit in tie; he was from a world that the Justice League formed after the events of an Alien Invasion called The Joining. This Lex was followed by Mercy Graves, who seemed to be a petite young woman with dark clothes and dark hair.

Then there was Luthor 31, though not an actual Lex. This was Alexis Luthor; she was a descendant of Lex in her universe. Her universe ran ahead of most; she was living in the 31st century.

She was a young woman with green eyes, red hair, and freckles, she wore a purple jumpsuit with black verticle stripes. She had by her side a sizeable white robot butler called Woodhouse.

Lex looked at the scanner, "I don't know what you mean."

Earth 30 had a Lex that defeated a communist Superman and had brought the world into peace. Lex 0 smirked; he knew if given a chance, he'd manage it. The issue it seemed this Lex was amongst those who vanished, he half thought of stepping in for his double, but they didn't have the time.

As they continued, he found another Lex on Earth 93 seemed to be a strange amalgam of himself and the Joker. Lex 0's stomach turned; he wondered if they should stop and kill him and put him out of misery.

"You know what I mean," Indigo told him, "We've just picked up alternate versions of yourself. Maybe their associates too, but that has been about it. "

"Quiet!" Lex stopped her. "We are getting a signal. It looks like a Lex is contacting us."

The ship found the star warping around them as they passed between the universe, but to Lex's surprise, they didn't go to Earth.

"That's a sight," Lex 96 spoke up.

"The Source Wall." Lex 217 remarked.

BORDER OF UNIVERSE DC-63038-AU-92

SOURCE WALL

Before the ship, there was a massive stone wall with huge figures trapped within.

Lex 24 explained to Mercy," That is the Source Wall the barrier between our universe."

Lex 0, "It's a strange facet it, it seems to only occur in our multiverses, in the other ones I visited there was no evidence of it."

"Yeah, Great Granddads," Alexis Luthor spoke up, "missing the big picture; it's cracked." She pointed to the whole tears across the walls, and to the gaps that looked to have missing figures.

Lex 38 only said, "The snap seems to have gotten those trapped too."

Lex 167 added, "And with the barrier between universes weakened, it looks like the source wall has begun to crack."

Lex 0 moved towards the wall following the signal.

Standing amongst the cracks stood a man, holding a damaged Mother Box he managed to take from Darkseid while they were both trapped in the wall. After all, he gave him the Anti-Life Equation, so he was owed. Lex 92 looked at Brainiac's ship and smiled.

"Something was happening," Suki grits her teeth.

They could hear something heard happening from the other side.

Suki orders the others, "We have to go check."

The Kyoshi Warriors pulled open the gate as they ushered the crowd back. They quickly went in and closed the gate behind them.

Some of the crowds began to depart, the sounds scaring them off.

Then they started to get louder and louder.

Then there was a crash as the gates were torn down by a massive boulder crashing through it.

The boulder and gate fell towards the crowd, but before they could crash down, a ball of fire hit it back, then another and another.

It was Scarlett firing off fireballs to push back the mass.

"Move it!" Jenny started to motion to the crowd.

"People move!" Natasha yelled at the crowd.

Seeing people move out of the way, she gasped as she let out the assault and left to hit the ground.

Scarlett huffed; she stared at the scorched gate; it had been a heavy steel door. If she had more than a second, she might have been able to do more than just basically try and punch the door up.

Pass the gates; there was a battle unfolding.

The guards had been caught by surprise as the Dai Li came out of the palace to fight them. They pushed them back into the court, and the guards and Kyoshi warriors fought them back as best they could. The problem was that the Dai Li were strong and better trained; they were precise and quick.

One of the Dai Li was fighting Suki; with a motion of his feet, he raised a spike of Earth. Suki jumped on the spike as it rose, she jumped off it and struck down the Dai Li.

They fell, and Suki readied to keep fighting, but as she looked up, she saw two more of the Dai Li both bending. They stomped the ground, bending boulders into the air, and with a push, the boulders rushed at her.

She couldn't move out of the way, and she would survive being struck by two large boulders. She closed her eyes and thought Sokka and hoped she'd see him in whatever was next.

She felt heat move pass her.

Fire struck the boulder causing them to explode.

She turned around to see a red-haired woman sending the flames towards the rocks.

Was she a fire bender? No, something seemed of. She didn't move like any fire bender she'd seen; she seemed to force or just will the flames to move.

Suki didn't have too much time to think as two blonde women rushed past her.

Before the Dai Li could react, it was too late. The older woman raised her arms, and her sleeves seemed to shimmer as strange bracelets came into being. Sparks of light and metal shot from them towards the Dai Li. When this attack hit their body, they when rigid and sparks erupted from where they hit. They collapsed to the ground. The other Dai Li, shocked by it, didn't notice the young blonde reaching him. She moved quickly, and precisely, there was something militaristic in the way she moved. She punched in the face, spun spinning around her leg behind him, forcing him to lose his balance. She added one more quick strike into the gut to force him down. He collides to the ground with a thud and unconscious.

Suki got up and thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. The three women's clothes began to shimmer and then drastically change into clothes she had never before.

Scarlett grumbled, "Yeah, we broke the limits of my spell. It can't hold the illusion anymore."

"Well, we tried," Jenny smirked.

Natasha readied her stingers; she saw the spell fade when she used them. "Oh, well, can't have everything."

Natasha helped Suki as they prepared to continue fighting.

Rhodey spoke into his phone, "Is there nothing you can do to stop this?" He listened as the other continued, "I see, well, it's not much, but it's better than nothing. Thanks for the heads up."

Rhodey hung up the call and turned to him.

"Steve, we've got a problem. "

In the workshop, the group worked on various alien technologies. Most of the things had been damaged so severely that there wasn't anything they could do with them.

Nebula worked on trying to get some footage from a drone in hopes of getting some information where Thanos went.

"Yeah, I hear ya," Rocket pulled at his fur. "Those Dalek things are- to ingrained with organic what-sits to manage without them. I'm not getting in one of those things. Half the other stuff is junk the only thing that-"

Rocket remembered something and pulled out an orb and opened up. Soon a cracked ring plopped out, and he scanned it, "Huh, so this wasn't just a pretty piece of jewelry."

Bruce looked over the screen, "Okay, that's new. This thing has power, lots of it, and an ingrained computing system. I haven't seen anything like this before. It's some sort of interface for the user. What's it supposed to be?"

"Beat me, can't say I saw something like this before. It certainly isn't responding."

"Maybe, it needs a jump start. If we can inject more energy into, maybe-"

"Bruce," Steve burst into the room, "We've got an issue, and- well, there is no way, to put it bluntly. You're not going to be too happy about it."

The steel hatches covered the door and window to the room with the gate.

"What's going on?" Jack asked.

FRIDAY's voice rang out, "I'm sorry, Colonel Rhodes suggests we lock this room up. We are going to have some rather unpleasant company."

"And are they people you wouldn't want to know about our project," Missy grinned.

Avenger's compound just became visible; it was a rather deserted location.

Secretary Thadeous "Thunderbolt" Ross rode in the head car behind him several more cars loaded with readied soldiers. Above them flew four helicopters ready for action should they be called.

No one wanted to fight the Avengers as low as he would hate to admit it Ross knew the Avenger's had saved them all many times. But they were a danger that they control. With all the chaos of the last few days, they were allowed to run wild.

NORAD had just found out that in the last few days, they had spotted alien ships in the compound, and some sort of golden energy arrive and leave it.

Satellites had confirmed that there was an alien ship on the compounded.

The government had to know why these aliens were here, did they have anything to do with the dusting?

As always, Stark was ignoring their calls for answers. Worse yet, they found out Stark had picked up several materials in the last few days. They also managed to detect several weird energies spiking in the compound.

There were just too many questions and not enough answers.

On top of that, their satellites had managed to get some interesting sights. One was that Rhodes was still there after he hung up Ross had some choice words for him. He'd be lucky to get off with just a court major.

No, the real interest was that they found Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanov in the building.

Then there was a person of particular interest for Ross, Banner.

He was spotted in New York right before this happened, and satellites got an image of someone matching his description.

Ross was headed there to personally apprehended the fugitives and put a stop to whatever they were doing.

Author's Notes: Ever hear the trope, two lines no waiting? How about four storylines no waiting?! We are starting the recruitment drive with two worlds. Team Widow is going to the world of Avatar the Last Airbender (ALA-221) and Team Science Nerds are going to the world of A Certain Magical Index (TMNI-404 ). So how do you guys like it so far? Team Widow getting involved in a bender battle. Team Nerds being hunted by every faction in a future city run secretly by a magic man. Now facing off against spider mechs.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? Leave a review.

Index Notes: We are going to see a lot of factions. I'll try to explain everything I can for people not familiar with the series. Just there is magic and super science.

Avatar Notes: And yes, that comment before was a nod to the joke that Scarlett Johansen is being hired to play asian characters. Ironically being said by a Scarlett.

Natasha outfit I'm thinking a lot like Junes. Jenny's a common earth nation look. Scarlett's outfit looking a lot like a toned down fire nation outfit.

Luthor Notes:

Okay heres a list of Lex. 96 is the Gene Hackman Lex. 38 is John Cryer Arrowverse. 167 is smallville, 73 is the super friends Lex. 217 is Justice League Action Lex. Luthor 31 is Alexis Luthor from the cartoon Legion of Super Heroes, I liked her and decided to add her in. Lex 0 is the Lex from the mainstream comics, more or less. He did think of bringing Lex from Superman and Lois but he died so… no go. Lex 92 is indeed from the 90's cartoon and last seen in JLU. Lex 24 is from The Batman. Lex 30 is a reference to the Red Son comics, and yes there is a weird amalgam joker Lex in a world were Superbaby was raised by the Waynes.

Also, I am using simplified versions of them universe numbers. Dc comics is DC-63038-00 and the superman movies as in DC-63038-A-96 the animated ones would DC-63038-AU-92. I'm just not writing the whole thing down every time. I actually came up with a system to coordinate universes, timelines, and everything and the DC universe has so many retcons and time stuff that it's code is super complicated.

MCU: Yeah Ross is coming for the avengers. Oh and his daughter ex boyfriend is there. So not great.

Q&A:

Elay Grimm: Sera lo vemos otra ves.

Acosta perez jose ramiro: Legion of Luthor. League Maybe?

Raxius: Eventually. Like who? Usagi? Elodie? Enid? Madoka? Sakura? Gwen? Charmcaster? The Mews? Scarlett has magic.

Guest: I don't know Undertale. I know it's a came. I know there is a flower, a kid, a cow, and a skeleton. That's it.

Madhatter886: Okay, I added it in my notes. Was that good? Do I need to change something to make it clear?
