Chapter 51: World Breaker
EARTH TMNI-404
ACADEMY CITY, JAPAN
Mechs cornered the Doctor, Tony, and Alexis.
"Well, time to go." Tony tapped the device on his chest. The nanotech quickly ebbed out of the device covering his body. As the faceplate closed around his head, Tony just remarked. "Time to go."
Tony quickly grabbed the Doctor and Alexis and flew into the air.
"I thought we were supposed to keep a low profile," Alexis commented.
"Yeah, I've never been to go with that," Tony told him.
The Black Crow Unit was stunned by the sudden suit change but not for long.
Shautura, their leader, turned on her weapons, she turned a cannon firing an electrified net. The charge should just be enough to stun an average person and disrupt that high tech suit. Their landing wouldn't be precisely a soft one, but they should survive and be out of commission.
Tony's HUD blared with the alert, but he couldn't move fast enough to escape it while he carried to people, and he certainly couldn't fire at it.
EARTH ALA-221
BA SING SE, EARTH KINGDOM
They fought the Dai Li, Natasha grabbed one of them and hurled them to the ground.
Natasha wasn't exactly a stranger to fighting enhanced individuals, but fighting a whole army was a bit much.
Some of the palace guards were helping fight back one yelled, "We have to get them from the Palace! They're after the Earth King and the Avatar."
"Funny about that," Jenny remarked as she knocked out another Dai Li, "We came here for the avatar."
"Who are you?" Suki questioned.
Scarlett stood in front of them, her arms outstretched as flames erupted out.
Nat just told her, "We're trying to help. We came here to talk to the avatar."
Suki sucked in her breath, "They won't find him. They're hidden. I escorted them to a hidden temple underground."
Scarlett grit her teeth, "If I get you a distraction, can you make a run for it!"
"Probably," Suki told her. "But we need to get into the underground temples, and I'm not an Earth Bender."
Scarlett took a breath as flames wrapped around her. "You said underground tunnels, right? I can work with that."
EARTH M-199999
AVENGER COMPOUND
A small army surrounded the whole compound.
"Oh boy," Rocket looked out the window, "You must have really ticked of some people."
Steve just looked at the army, "Yeah, sort of disagreed with the government about some things."
Rocket whistled, "And here I thought you were just some straight-laced jerk."
Steve didn't know how to reply to that.
"But if you managed to tick off the whole government, we're more alike than I thought."
Steve really didn't know how to reply.
Bruce stepped up to the window, he wasn't changing, but he could tell that anger was radiating off him.
"Ross is out there."
"And everyone in here is someone he'd love to see behind bars."
"He's here for me," Bruce remarked.
"What makes you so special?" Rocket asked him.
"We have a history. Ross has been after me for years; he only stopped because of the Avenger. If he has any reason to come after me, he will take it.
Rhodey and Nebula walked over, and the colonel said, "Yeah, and it doesn't help you use to date his daughter."
Rocket looked up, "The guy coming for you is your ex's dad. Oh! I get it now."
"What?" Bruce raised an eye bow.
"You knocked up his daughter and didn't marry her."
"What?!"
"Didn't think you had in you." Rocket playfully punched his leg.
"You don't seem like the type." Nebula remarked.
"Wait!" Bruce tried to stop them.
"You don't need to explain, heart breaker." Rocket reassured him. "I'll see if any tech we got can help us out against the army, none-lethal like, of course."
"Yeah," Steve agreed, "I don't think Ross is willing to listen."
ETHERIA (JUXTA-DIMENSION: DESPONDOS) S-RPP-1113.03
FRIGHT ZONE
Davros worked on the plans; it was somewhat inspiring to see so much technology from other universes. Thanos had ordered him to make upgrades on the tech they all had. A daunting task for most, though still a challenge for Davros, he would meet it.
He worked on the computers; whoever had worked on the Horde's bots was a genius but lacked any sense of order. He was working frantically to decypher their plans. Still, there was great promise there to improve the robot armies they held.
He was already working on upgrades on Vexus' form to enhance her abilities. He had tried to make some upgrades on Sari and the transformers, but the risk would likely cause more damage than good. He settled to working on upgrades to their weapons.
He was on the planning stages on how to give some biological enhances to Vilgax and Freeza.
Anubis was a curious case, Thanos had used the stones to recreate a containment suit that had been destroyed. Anubis now just looked like a dark cloaked figure with a shielded head that would sometimes reveal a glowing skull. Very theatrical, but Davros was sure he could improve on it.
"Come on, people!" Catra yelled orders at the workforces. "Davros gave you simple instructions an anyone who doesn't meet them can go into the mines. We are going to war, and we need to be ready!" She clapped her hands, "If you have any questions, talk to Sari!"
Davros had to admit Catra was keeping her people from panicking and working. Up until recently, they had no concept of another world, but with her at hand kept them working. They were getting ideas and technology they hadn't fathom before, and they kept at it.
Sari was overlooking the construction of ships and tech.
"Please don't!" Sari growled, "I'm already working with enough idiots!"
Sari touched the engine and a few glowing marks, "No, no, no," she could speak with machines and understand them, Sari yelled at the engineer, "You! I can't even- there are so many errors here. Let's start with the fact that you have the wiring all wrong; it's redundant that it will explode if you turn it on. It's feeding back into itself." She transformed her hand into a saw, "We have a deadline we can't miss, make a decision. Get your head back into work or I take your head off. Which do you choose?"
Davros had to admit that Thanos was well suited to rule. He had chosen everyone to their strengths.
Hela was getting the armies into shape. Even now, he could hear the fighting outside.
The dark woman was ruthless. She had whole squads fight her at once, calling on weapons as natural as breathing and beaten them down. They had to learn to work together, as a unit, to the best of their abilities, have their bodies broken.
Thanos currently had Freza and Vilgax take armies to gather resources, metals, and minerals to make more machines.
Anubis was taken back to his universe to get more technology.
Davros even watched as the Dalek guarded them, making sure no one dared try to run. It was a bit of a sore spot for him; he made them and had never got them that obedient.
Still, Davros put up with it. Failure of any sort would mean death. But victory would mean so much. Thanos would rule, and they would flourish; they'd get their kingdoms every desire just to serve him.
It was a small price and no choice at all.
EARTH (JUXTA-DIMENSION: SPIRIT WORLD) ALA-221.02
TARRATOTA PLAIN
Avatar Aang found himself in a vast green plain underneath a purple sky.
In the center of all stood something he could never have imagined. There was a glowing crack in the middle of the air.
Aang reached for it
"I wouldn't touch that."
Aang turned around to see the owl spirit and guardian of the spirit Library Wan Shi Tong. Aang looked about realizing there were spirits all around; some looked on silently. Others spoke amongst themselves.
"What's happening?" Aang asked.
Wan Shi Tong looked at the single fox by his side, "I didn't think you'd understand. "
"I had doubted you would."
"Something is happening,"
"I know I had come to see it with my own eyes." The Owl remarked, "We have all come here to discuss the situation. Well, those who remain. Like in your world, half of our population just vanished."
Aang stared dumbfounded, "Do you know what caused it?"
Wan Shi Tong wasn't usually in the mood to talk to humans much less the avatar, but with the way the worlds were, he didn't have the resistance. "No, whatever swept over the world like a plague," He motioned to the crack, "It caused those to form in place are worlds begin to connect."
"But how is that possible? I've never heard of anything that could do all this?"
"That is unknown." The Owl spoke, "but it might not be the biggest of worries at the moment."
Aang looked back, and it looked like the cracks were growing.
EARTH TMNI-404
ACADEMY CITY, JAPAN
The electrified net spun in the air towards the trio. Alexis dug into his pocket and pulled out a silver pen.
His mind reached back to an image of a woman with shoulder-length brown hair; she smiled as she held a saber used it to cut through the air.
Alexis focused on the image and did his best to replicate the action, "Parry Riposte!"
That pen served as his magic wand, something he crafted with a bit of tech, and the spell was one he made crafted by someone lost to ashes.
As he motioned, the wind seemed to formed around it and lunged at the net, forcing it away.
The net was away, but that move should only be used on the ground because the wind nature of that spell has a bit of a kick that Stark wasn't ready for.
The kickback from the spell was strong enough that it made Tony drop his passengers.
The Doctor landed with a thud on one of the Black Crow Units. Thankfully her alien nature made a fair bit tougher than she looked, plus she does this sort of stuff a lot. She grabbed onto the machine as quickly as she could.
"Nice ride, you have here!" He pounded her fist onto the outer hull. She yanked out her sonic screwdriver and whirled it around.
With a hiss, the hatch popped off, and it slowed to a stop. The man inside pulled out a gun.
"Question: Does this come with an ejector seat?"
He turned pale as the Doctor smiled, and with the buzzing of the screwdriver. The pilot was launched into the air and through a window of a nearby building.
"I'm sure he will be fine," The Doctor quickly scrambled into the cockpit, "Oh! That looked like a comfy seat." She whirled the screw drive around, "Oh! This thing is pack with all sort of nasty secrets, people peeking in and ready to take control. And now, the controls are all mine." The alien grinned, "Come one how hard could this be if I can pilot a very unaerodynamic blue box, this should be easy."
The mech whirled into life and spun around, "Give me a minute! Oh!" She crashed it into a light post, "Okay, I'm getting it." It sped down the streets.
"Follow her!" Shautura called to three of her agents, who chased after her.
Alexis rushed at the ground but forced his feet to the ground. The soles of his feet began to glow and slowed his fall, another mix of anti-gravity tech and magic. He had always planned for his shoes to let his hover, but he through shoes fast, and he burned batteries quickly. The best he could do within reason was make himself the batter; the same way he powered his spells would power this trick. He could never use them to fly before it would tire him out, but it could save him from a nasty fall.
"Stark!" Alexis yelled out.
Iron Man was in the sky; without people, they started to open fire on him, and he returned it in kind.
"I'm busy!" He responded.
"Fly! Fly as far away as you can!"
"What?"
"Do it fast!"
"I got a trick for this! But you do not want to be in a flying metal suit! Getaway!"
Tony hated it, but he did as he was told; he powered the thrusters and jetted into the city.
Alexis raised his hands as if surrendering, Tony was out of reach already, so the remaining mech turned to him.
"Facedown on the ground!"
"Okay, how about," He clapped his hands. "Clap off!"
All of the machines came to a halt and shut down. The people inside desperately tried to boot them back up.
Alexis laughed manically, "I know it's so stupid to make that into a spell. I know! But I love it."
He decided to run away; it was likely they had some sort of manual exit in case of emergency. The spell would shut down anything electronic, but it would be useless for something like that Worse, yet in a few minutes, it would wear off. He wasn't all that fast; he needed to get some distance in the meanwhile.
He had gotten five city blocks away before he realizes that none of them headed in the same direction or even knew where they were.
Shutaura fumed as she tried to get her machine to work. Two of the fugitives had technology which she had never seen before and was advance enough rival to Academy City's technology. And the third seemed to be an esper. She needed to get this information out to those searching for them.

Crowley was amused and angered.
That was some sort of spell, so he was some sort of esper with the ability to use magic. Fascinating, the spell, caused several issues for him. That Doctor woman had used a device that had crippled UNDER_LINE, and that clapping spell made it all the worse. His entire spy network was having power cascade issues. He wouldn't be able to follow them.
He wouldn't have been as upset if they had done so on purpose.
He would need to bring them in and study them.
EARTH ALA-221
BA SING SE, EARTH KINGDOM
Long Feng paled as he watched the fight, the Dai Li had all taken the guards and the Kyoshi warriors by surprise, but then three women stepped in and returned the blow.
Then there was the red-haired woman; he dared not call he a fire bender. The Dai Li had all trained with the mindset that a 100-year war might come into their city, that any fire nation spies needed to be dealt with quickly. That was their failure here.
She didn't move like a fire bender, she summoned and commanded flames. Was she some kind of spirit?
She pulled out a sizeable crimson sword from her odd clothes; it should not have fit in there and was near twice her height. Yet she still moved the weapon easily as it was nothing. The moment she held the sword, her flames seemed to grow stronger.
She smiled and rushed at the Dai Li; they, in turn, raised a wall of stone before her.
"Ha, hahaha! Do you think that's enough?" Large blade's edge began to glow red, and with a wild, she sliced through it, and the wall crumbled.
"It's not!"
She continued to charge and swung the blade at the nearest Dai Li; they weren't back wildly, and just from the looks of it, they weren't getting up soon.
"Come on! I thought you had come for a fight! Then fight!"
Demons raised Scarlett, and though she was more or less on the side of good if given a chance to let her darker aspects out, she could grow wild.
Her sword, the Hellfire blade, did give her flames a boast and barely weight anything to her.
She could be a violent terror, on her world, she was known as the Daemon, Hellfire, Spitfire, The Crimson Stream, among other names most tied to her power to burn things.
Usually, there was someone who would stop her, but that person was gone.
The most she could hope for was to focus this unbridled passion; she made sure not to attack any of the guards. Most of the guards were giving her space, taking the wounded away and maybe trying to attack off the distracted Dai Li.
But that was the plan, be a distraction for as long as possible.
From the top of the stairs, Long Feng noticed a hole scorched into the ground. Then he remembered a story of a secret that he never laid eye on before.
"Of course…" He crumbled as he bend the earth to open before him.

It wasn't a pleasant drop, but they arrived safely.
"I think it's this way," Suki announced as she ran ahead of the others.
She wasn't sure there was only one official entrance, the rest was just tunnels, she was barely guessing based on general directions. It didn't help that the only thing that was lighting the way were glowing crystals.
"There!" Suki saw the gates and quickly pushed them open.
Inside saw The Earth King, Zuko, Katara, and Aang meditating before a statue.
"We're under attack-"
"Long Feng." The Earth King Let out.
"Good-Bye."
They turned around the find the traitor standing there with a smile. With a simple move of his body, the room around them began to collapse.
EARTH M-199999
AVENGER COMPOUND
Rocket had dragged Thor over to the workbench where the red ring waited.
"Okay, so can you do your zappy thing?"
Thor looked on, "Why?"
"We think we can jump start it, but it needs more power than we can manage right now. I know you are a bit down on the dumps right now, but you've noticed the army outside. I think we can get this ring to create a force field around this place. Mind giving us a hand."
Thor looked at the strange ring; he wondered if this would help at all. He placed his hand and willed the lightning in him out, and the room was filled with a brilliant white light that soon turned red.

ACADEMY CITY, JAPAN
Tony was flying into the sky as he tried to contact the others. They weren't picking up; he wasn't getting a signal from Alexis' device, which meant it was either destroyed or off. Tony had to hope since Alexis had a plan this was part of it. The Doctor wasn't answering, but he could still track them.
"Come on, where are you, Doc?" Tony whispered to himself; the HUD displayed where she was and found that three Units were right behind her.
Tony was about to turn when the HUD warned him of several incoming items.
"What?"
He wasn't getting a good reading from his scans. But then he saw them, a swarm of white beetles flying towards him.
They quickly flocked around him.
"We caught that little show with the Black Crows. I have to admit it's a nice suit."
"Are you a talking swarm of beetles?" Tony remarked, he finally got a result from the scans. "And you're made of dark matter? I don't care what universe I'm in, that insane."
He could hear the beetles snort, "If you think that's crazy, you should meet my friend."
The HUD blared as something was coming in fast.
Tony caught a glimpse of something glowing rushing towards him from the top of a building.
"What?" It was a spiky-haired boy, a headband around his heat he grinned.
His fist glowed with red energy, "AMAZING PUNCH!"

The Doctor was driving terribly and messing around with the controls. "I hate to do this. You seem like a charming tank thing. But-"She pressed the sonic screwdriver into the speakers, a loud blaring roared out.
The sound began to shatter windows, and the mechs that followed screeded into a halt. The Doctor crashed into a wall.
"Okay, not my best." Her head hurt and her ears were ringing. "But, it will do."
She started to get herself out of the cockpit when she saw two girls standing at the other end of the street.
"You don't want to come close, could be dangerous. Better just leave it to the proper authorities." As she climbed down, something passed by her head.
She smelled and heard metal melting, looking behind her she saw something had torn through the machine, the other edges of the damage still red hot.
She looked back to the girl with long brown hair as green balls of plasma hovered around her.

Alexis quickly found what looked like a shopping center. He had hoped to hide amongst the people until he could call the others.
But he found things strangely empty.
"Sorry, everything is closed."
Alexis looked around to see three girls standing there.
One girl had purple hair and wore a strange outfit that seemed to be a mix of a maid outfit and a bunny suit.
Another girl had a cap on and less distinct clothing, though the vials on her belt did stand out.
Standing before them was a short girl with short red hair who wore a flu mask.
"Hey kids," Alexis greeted, he already had a bad feeling about this.
The girl with the hat smiled, "They said they wanted them alive, right?"
The maid girl smiled, "I think that's what they said," sheets of paper started to float around her, taking shape and even falling off her clothes, revealing they were made of paper.
"We have to bring him in alive," Their leader said, "I hate to work with the teacher, but if he knows what happened to Seike and the others, then we have to bring him in. But that doesn't mean we have to bring him in one piece."
"I see," Alexis growled, "Mercenaries, this city has children mercenaries who are ready to kill." He wasn't all that emotional to start with, but it was clear he was disgusted at the moment. "Look, I don't like fighting kids, so lets part ways here before I I do something I will regret."
"Don't look down on us," The girl in the gap injected two vials into an orb and hurled at him.
Alexis just slipped his hand into his coat. "Okay, let's do this. Don't say I didn't warn you."

"Come on!" Touma bemoaned at the closed sign on the door. "I was sure you were open! Such misfortune!"
Touma gulped back the words; he didn't feel like saying that. He survived, but he hadn't found a single one of his friends to survive it or even his family. He couldn't even keep his promise to Tsuchimikado; Maika was gone too.
"Kamijou!"
Touma found two faces he hadn't expected to see, Kaori Kanzaki and Itsuwa, two magicians who were supposed to be on the other side of the world.
Kanzaki paused, "Is Index is…?"
"She's gone." Touma regretted to inform her.
They were silent for a moment, Itsuwa continued, "We have to leave. We have no idea what caused this. A magician at the church tried to use divination to find answers and-"
Kanzaki could only say, "They saw a future, one where three figures spirit you away."
"Three?" Touma asked.
Itsuwa explained, "The Lady of Time, The Man of Iron, and The Secret Keeper."
"After that," Kanzaki explained, "You vanished, and the world began to shatter and give way to an endless blackness."
"We don't know what's happening, but you are in the middle of something. And you are needed to prevent a disaster."
EARTH M-199999
AVENGER COMPOUND
Steve, Bruce, and Rhodey walked out of the compound towards the gate to where Ross stood.
They stopped before reaching him but close enough that they could talk without yelling too loud.
"Mister Secretary." Steve greeted the older man.
"Rogers. Rhodes. Banner."
As professional as his toned remained, there was something vindictive of the way he said, Banner.
"Surrender now before things turn ugly." He gave them a cold stare, "All of you are fugitives,"
"To be fair, I don't think I am one," Rhodey added.
"You are derelict of orders and are officially AWOL after you didn't respond to my calls."
Rhodey shrugged, "Okay, yeah."
Steve tried to be the voice of reason, "We can't afford to fight each other. We are working on trying to put things right. We need a chance to."
"What's your plan?" Ross spat back, "The UN gets a message from you telling us an alien known as Thanos wiped half of all life, and that's all we get. Then I see you with Banner, who been wanted ever since Lagos."
Bruce cringed at the memory of the Hulk going through that city.
"The Avenger and the goodwill they managed since New York kept me from coming after you, but after that, it's gone. The Avengers are all rogue and dangers Banner and that monster of his most of all."
Bruce glared, "Trust me, he's not. He doesn't come out."
"I wish I could believe that." Ross turned to the men behind him. "Ready your arms! Aim!"
"Whoa!" Rhode held out his hands. "That's a little extreme!"
"I wish it were." Ross told him, "I know what the Hulk can do! I've seen it first hand."
Many of the soldiers all looked hesitant to aim their weapons at the Avengers.
Steve held out his hands, "Let's all calm down. This doesn't have to get violent."
"Do I have your surrender?" Rosee waited for him to answer, "No? Aim!"
"Stop!" Bruce yelled. "I'll turn myself in. No fight. No, anything."
"Bruce." Steve tried to stop him.
"It has to be this way."
With his hands in the air, Bruce walked forwards.
Ross just turned at him, "We have something special for you." One of the soldiers brought out some unique handcuff and placed it on him."
"Move forward," Ross motioned the other soldiers forward and towards Steve and Rhodey.
"Wait!" Brice yelled. "I agreed to surrender."
"You did, they didn't. You might be the most dangerous, but I'm not leaving without all of you."
"You can't do this!"
"I can," Ross insisted. "Our interim president has never been a fan of you and has vested in me emergency powers to bring you all in. I'm being nice here; I'm trying not to hurt any of you."
"No!" Bruce tried to rush at him.
"Take him inside!" Ross ordered, motioning to an armored car.
As the soldier pushed him into the armored car, a red light rushed out the compounded and towards Bruce. They could hear a voice coming from the ring.
ROBERT BRUCE BANNER OF EARTH.
YOU HAVE GREAT RAGE IN YOUR HEART.
A red ring slipped onto Bruce's fingers.
"NO!" Bruce and the Hulk screamed.
Bruce's skin started to turn green as glowing red veins formed over his body. Bruce tried to breathe, to steady himself, but he couldn't. His heart raced, and it felt like it would explode while his blood felt like it boiling.
Ross wasn't scared; the cuffs were made of pure vibranium, if he grew, they'd slice through his hands.
"Aaaaah!" Bruce screamed, red blood gushing out of his mouth and hitting the cuffs, melting them.
"Shoot him!" Ross ordered.
"No! Bruce!" Steve and Rhodey yelled out.
There was a volley of gunfire pushing the ring bearer into the armored truck.
The gunfire died down and followed a pulse and red light.
A roar ripped through the air as the truck was torn apart. The emerald giant stood before them, wearing a red-black uniform with a red lantern emblem. The red ring glowed brightly on his finger. Red glowing veins bulged over his body, and acidic red blood dripped his mouth. His eyes glowing bright red, any humanity of Bruce or even the Hulk was gone, and only a rage fulled beast remained in those eyes.
YOU BELONG TO THE RED LANTERN CORP.
The monster roared with a rage never seen on this world before; it took a step forwards the ground cracking as it did. It stood ready to break the world.
Author's Notes: Okay, first thing. I wanted this arc to be 2 chapters but with everything it feels like one more to properly do these recruitment worlds. I'm hoping to keep other worlds two at most.
Second, how many know these worlds. Avatar and A Certain magical index, what do you guys think?
What do you think of the recruitment? Team Widow is helping fight a coup by the Dai Li. Team Nerd… well, Tony is fighting two of the strongest espers. The Doctor is dealing with one of the strongest and probably the least stable. Alexis well he's gotta deal with murderous kids, so thats not fun.
The baddies are currently working on She-ra's world, mostly some of them are working on other stuff for Thanos. They are working on something.
