Chapter 2 – The Girl-Who-Lived.
After they all had their fill of the delicious food from the Hogwarts elves, Hadriana and Sirius and Teddy placed themselves in one of the comfy-looking couches, so that they could be together. Nevertheless, Hadriana knew that things would get hard for her and would still be harsh for her in the years they would see – and she knew that she would need Sirius's comforting presence close to her throughout it all.
The others placed themselves around her to be her silent support because they knew everything that had happened to her – maybe not all the details around certain things, but enough to know that things were harsh and tough for her.
"Alright, Hermione would you do the honours?" she asked because she did not have the nerves to hold it going for more than a couple of minutes right now. With a nod and a simple wave of her wand, a large black screen appeared before them which floated in the air.
"Before things start, I want to tell you that whatever happens in these movies none of us judges you for it though a lot of us want to kill you," Hadriana told them with a glint in her eyes, especially towards the teachers and the ministry, and snuggled back into Sirius together with Teddy. *It will be weird re-living my life* she thought towards her soul mates. *I know, love. *
The screen slowly faded from grey to midnight-black in the very first scene of the movie. Darkness slowly drifted away as it was clearly night, the words 'Privet Drive' could be seen on a sign, and a nearby streetlamp illuminated it with a dark brown owl sitting atop of it.
The owl flew quietly away as the screen shifted its view from nearby towards an era covered by fog. A shadowy figure could be seen walking closer and close to one of the many houses that were seen. This man was unlike anyone had ever seen here, he was a strange elderly man with the ugliest robes a man could have, a beard so long it reached his waist.
A man no other than Albus Dumbledore.
"What are you doing there, professor?" All the Marauders asked the headmaster and looked at him with a smile.
"I'm not sure, but we will well see what happens."
Those from the future knew what was coming for the people of the past, and they would see how their best friend and the best thing that had ever happened to Sirius was treated by the people she lived with for ten years. *I know I will freeze up when I see you being treated awfully by those bastards! * Sirius muttered through their bond, and Hadriana nodded because she knew that she had to be prepared for the flashbacks and the yelling. However, she was happy that she had already told him everything about her past just as he had done so when they had started to hang out together.
A small dark-orange tabby cat was sitting on a fence trying not to catch anyone's attention, Dumbledore could be seen with a grave smile around his mouth. He was holding a small inconspicuous object in his hand, then raised it up and into the air collecting all the lights from the lamppost leaving the street in complete darkness.
"Professor can we have it!" Everyone that loved mischief wanted one, and every half-assed prankster glared at each other before Ron broke it off, "Sorry, Boys. Its already mine!" he said and held up the object, before giving it a small click – making the whole great hall in total darkness.
Soon after everyone could hear a loud slap, "PUT the lights back on." Hermione hissed before the lights in the hall lit up again. "Honestly Ronald." She sighed, trying not to smile as the whole hall was filled with snickers when they watched Ron run the back of his head...
"Bloody hell Mione, you slap hard!" he complained but stopped as soon as he noticed Hermione's glare.
'I should have known that you would have been here Professor McGonagall.' Said Dumbledore, as the scene slid over the cat's shadow as it shifted from an animal form to a human.
"Good evening, Professor Dumbledore." McGonagall greeted and walked towards his side as they continued walking down the street. "Are the rumours true?" she asked worriedly.
Sirius and Teddy couldn't help but hug their Hadriana closer because they both knew that this was the beginning of everything in her life. Teddy knew some of it because they had promised never to tell him a lie if he asked them about things in the past, though there were still many things he did not know.
"What rumours?" Younger Sirius and James asked at the same time, and the others and travellers understood that something had happened.
"Afraid so, Professor. The good and the bad."
"The girl?" asked Professor McGonagall.
"Hagrid is bringing her."
"Is it that wise to trust Hagrid with something important than this?" she asked, to which he only nodded, "Ah, I would trust Hagrid with my life."
The Great Hall was silenced by this, and Hagrid was looking at Dumbledore with a smile around his mouth.
A loud rumbling noise could soon be heard coming closer and breaking the silence of the night. The professors looked up towards the sky when suddenly a blinding light lit up the sky above them.
A large man came flying in on a motorbike and only stopped at the end of the street not far away from where the two others were standing. McGonagall was holding onto Dumbledore's arm tightly, before letting go and placing it over her heart.
The man wore a heavy-duty coat, it was larger than himself even, he had an untidy mess of hair as it fell to his chin, he also wore glasses that made it easier for him to fly. A bundle of clothes was resting peacefully in the giants' arms.
"Professor Dumbledore sir. Professor McGonagall." Hagrid said carefully stepping off the bike and walking towards them.
"No problem I trust, Hagrid?" Dumbledore asked him.
"No sir. The little tyke fell asleep just as we were flying over Bristol. Try not to wake her, and here you go." Hagrid said and handed her over to Dumbledore, where he and Professor McGonagall inched closer to catch her if she fell.
The three of them walked towards one of the houses, and while they did Professor McGonagall could not help but to exclaimed, "Albus do you think it's safe to leave her with these people? I have watched them all day, they are the worst sort of muggles imaginable. They really are…"
"They are the only family she has." Dumbledore interrupted her, though, no one of them noticed the little glint he had in the corner of his eyes.
"Why? This girl will be famous. There won't be a single child in our world who won't know her name."
"It's for the greater good." Said Dumbledore, as they stopped in front of a door, Hagrid looked around desperately trying not to cry.
Dumbledore took a quick look around, before looking down at the bundle in his arms that was wrapped up in blankets. Then said, "until she's ready…"
Professor McGonagall was looking at Professor Dumbledore like she couldn't believe what he was about to do, as she repeatedly blinked in disbelief as her oldest friend placed the child on the doorstep.
Everyone that has been and will be a mother in the future couldn't believe what the headmaster was doing to a child. "You left a baby on the doorstep of a home in the middle of autumn, and with muggles at that!" Euphemia Potter asked slowly, while others had a bad feeling about what this whole placement would be like.
Professor Dumbledore looked down at the child, only laying a letter up on the blanket for those in the house to look at in the morning. They walked towards Hagrid, "There, there Hagrid. It's not goodbye."
They all looked back towards the baby, and as McGonagall was about to say something Dumbledore turned to both Hagrid and Professor McGonagall, with a cold look in his eyes with his wand and said, *Obliviate*
At that spell, everyone glared up at the headmaster furious that someone so revealed had done something like that without showing any remorse. They were speechless over what they had seen and heard, "How can you do something like that!" was yelled out loud through the great hall, though, it was shocking that it had been McGonagall that had done so and not the ministry.
That got everyone's attention more, and it made people in the room think about what they were doing.
Those from the future could see the rift forming, seeing that people were beginning to think of what they were even supporting, but they also saw the people who supported him shaking their heads thinking that it was all a misunderstanding.
Hadriana had only eyes on the headmaster, and it was great that they had made it so that no one could use any magic inside the room and that when they were finished only the ones that didn't want to hurt her remember – meaning that Albus to many names Dumbledore won't.
"Good luck, Hadriana Potter," Dumbledore said as a goodbye to the girl, as the screen zoomed in on the sleeping face of the chosen child. It zeroed in on the lightning bolt scar on her forehead, just above her left eyebrow.
Everyone including Regulus and many eyes widened at this because they realized that the scar was a cursed one – somebody had cast a very dark curse on her.
When the intro of the movie was over, the screen got dark, and it moved around before letters appeared with thunder and lighting. 'Hadriana Potter and the Philosophers stone.'
