Chapter 5 – Hagrid and Diagon Alley.
It didn't take more than a day before someone came knocking on the Dursleys door, it was a loud knock other than that she didn't know who it could be that had been tasked with getting her things.
Aunt Petunia opened the door, immediately closed it again and told the guy that they didn't want anything to do with the freaks. However, before she could close it again a large hand held it open.
In came a large man, he had a beard longer and thicker and wore a large Heaney coat – in one of his hands a small pink umbrella which he placed back in his coat pocket.
"I'm here to pick up a Miss Potter, to get her Hogwarts things." He said booming, "so where is the girl?"
"Why did you pick Hagrid to pick up the girl, Hagrid isn't a teacher even?" Orion Black asked the headmaster knowing that he hadn't done it yet.
The headmaster just shrugged, because he knew that he could not say anything about what he was thinking in the future, and he knew he already was on thin ice with the people around him.
"Here," Hadriana said nervously to the giant of a man standing in the doorway.
"We won't let her go to that crackpot of a school, with the other freaks!" Petunia said strictly looking at them and looking at them like they are beneath her.
"She's been down in the Hogwarts lecture since her birth, of course, she is going!" "You look like your mother, though, you have your father's frizzy hair." The guy told the confused girl standing there.
Everyone was in awe, how strong is this girl to have a magic all the way back then, was the collective thought to everyone that knew how the acceptance happened. Hadriana did know finally what it meant and could not still believe how strong and magical she was.
"My parents, you told me my parents died in a car crash?" Hadriana questioned angrily to her aunt, as she looked back and forth between them.
"A CAR CRASH!" "Killed James and Lily Potter? It's outrageous, a scandal!" Hagrid said angrily hovering over her aunt Petunia.
"Oh, we had to say something, and she's not going."
Hadriana hoped that she couldn't do anything and that she was going to go to that school and learn things that her parents knew. That it was magic all along, and other than the voices in her mind she had it confirmed by the guy standing there in the doorway.
"Oh-ho, and I suppose a muggle like you can stop it," Hagrid said mockingly and looked angrily at her aunt.
"Muggle?" Hadriana questioned confused.
"Non-magic folk. She's going to the finer school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world, and the shell is under the finest headmaster that Hogwarts has ever seen, Albus Dumbledore."
Hadriana was immediately suspicious over why that name came out of his mouth because she got the feeling that something did not sit right with her and the people in her mind told her to be careful.
The people in the hall looked at her in surprise, and the Slytherins got more respect for the girl for not hanging on to the praise the headmaster got.
Hagrid smiled at the girl of his late friends, "we are a bit behind schedule, best be off." He said before stopping, "unless you would rather stay?"
Hadriana just looked at her aunt and shrugged her shoulders and followed the giant out of the house knowing that she would not come back here if she could get out of it.
They were in the centre of London, and they were quietly walking down a street that could have seen better days, though, it wasn't quite the place yet. They were ignoring the looks they were receiving from people who were passing by.
"Where can I buy all this stuff?" Hadriana asked because she had to seem somewhat ignorant of the world she was going into.
"If you know where to go!" said Hagrid, with a small smirk or what looked like a smirk around his mouth. They then entered a small run-down pub; it was named Leaky Cauldron.
Hagrid held the door open for her to get in, before following – they walked into a dimly lit room, filled with smoke and weird-looking people. Then someone named Tom spotted Hagrid and gave him a smile. "Ah, Hagrid, the usual I presume?"
No thanks, Tom. I am on official Hogwarts business, just helping young Hadriana here buy her school supplies." Hagrid said, declining the alcohol, and putting his hand on Hadriana's back making her knees buckle.
"Bless my, soul. It's Hadriana Potter." Tom yelled out loud, making the whole pub go dead silent.
"I've never seen the Leaky Cauldron go that quiet!" One of the many Hufflepuff's said.
"Right there, but why is everyone acting like that? I mean she's just a girl?" Narcissa inquired, while the travellers all besides Hadriana and Sirius gave one another small smirks, making the hall erupt more confused.
"You'll see."
Suddenly every one of its patrons came up to them, Hadriana didn't know what to make of it as they all began to shake her hand.
"Welcome back, Ms Potter. Welcome back."
"Doris Crockford, Ms Potter. Can't believe I'm meeting you at last." A small woman greeted.
Then there came a man forward, he was thin and looked kind of sickly in her eyes, he was wearing a large purple turban on top of his head. "H-Ha-Hadriana P-Potter. Can't tell you how p-p-pleased I am to meet you." he stuttered, staring at her with a weird glint in his eyes making her a lot more suspicious about what his problem was, and that fake stutter grated on her nerves.
*That's the person you had an altercation within the first year. * Sirius questioned mentally, *Yeah, and the one that he's carrying on the back of his head. * Was the answer she was giving him.
"Hello professor, I don't see you there. Hadriana this is professor Quirrell. The defence of the dark arts, teacher – at Hogwarts." Hagrid told her with a wide smile.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you!" Hadriana said suspiciously, as she held her hand out for the man to shake, but he didn't make her look at him weirdly.
"CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" Moody screamed suddenly and making them see that he was also been summoned because the whole hall jumped, the future generation just looked at him in surprise because they hadn't known he too had tagged along.
"Wow, you haven't changed at all," Hadriana muttered half heartily shaking her head.
"An f-fearfully f-f-fascinating subject, not that you need it, he, P-Potter?" the teacher finished chuckling nervously.
"Why don't I need it?"
However, before she got the answer, it was interrupted "Yes, well we must be going now. Lots to buy." Hagrid said to the awkward silence.
"Goodbye," Hadriana said and gave him a tight-lipped smile.
As they walked towards the back wall, Hagrid gave her a small smile, "See, Hadriana? You're famous?"
"Why am I famous Hagrid? All those people back there, how they knew my name?" inquired Hadriana, staring at his confusion.
"I don't think I am the right person to tell you about that, Hadriana." He said, before tapping on the stones of the brick wall. It was done in a pattern before it opened up showing them an amazing place.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley, Hadriana," Hagrid said with wide arms.
Hadriana looked at the place with a wide gaze, mouth agape, she hadn't believed the voices inside of her head that this place even existed, but now she knew that things were about to change for the better.
There was a lot of amusement in the hall about the way young Hadriana did when she saw the place because they remembered their own first time as well.
"Here we go, you'll get your ink and your quills. Over there, all the bits and bobs of doing witchcraft."
Hadriana was overwhelmed that there was a whole society in the middle of London, and she was also amazed by everything she passed by, and before her eyes landed on the newest set of broomsticks, a Nimbus 2000, sitting on display.
All the Quidditch players were drooling and hoped that they too could get their hands on it. "I want one. No. I need one." James and young Sirius practically drooled.
"But Hagrid – how am I to pay for all of this? I don't have any money?" said Hadriana and looked at Hagrid.
"Well, there is your money Hadriana. Gringotts, the wizarding bank. Ain't no safer place, not one, maybe except perhaps Hogwarts." Hagrid told her before the scene shifted to the two of them walking into the bank.
Hadriana was slowly walking through the door, and couldn't help but stare at the small creatures behind the large bank, "Hagrid what are they exactly?" There was clearly something that she hadn't got a clue about even with the help of a certain someone inside of her head.
*Shut up, you. * Hadriana said inside of her head and hit him in the arm. *You were incredibly cute back then. * Sirius told her with a smile.
"The two of you have to stop talking to one another through your connection!" Neville told them with a roll of his eyes.
"Have the two of them always had a telepathic bond?" Lily Evans asked curiously, trying to understand what they were up against when the time came.
"As far as we know, they did," Draco answered her, as the two love birds were inside their own heads.
James and Lily looked at one another because they were somewhat happy that their future daughter had someone that would understand her, and someone that would be there for her throughout everything. It also looked like they had one heck of a bond, something that they had to agree on.
Young Sirius was still somewhat in shock about everything, but it made him long for someone that could understand and see him, though, it was still weird to see an older version of himself talking and smiling at someone.
However, he remembered that they told us that this was going to be an alternative reality and things so far seemed to be already changing – all that reminds to be seen is if it is for the better.
"They are goblins, Hadriana. They love their money and aren't the friendliest beasts, so best stay close."
Hadriana inched closer to Hagrid, and like always doing her best not to stare at them – as they stopped in front of a teller, who didn't pay them any mind at all.
Hagrid cleared his throat, "Ms Hadriana Potter wishes to make a withdrawal." Making the goblin behind the desk looking down at her before looking back up.
"And does Ms Potter have her key?"
Hagrid's face lit up and began to search for something in each of his pockets, and as he finally pulled out a small key, and placed it on the desk. "Oh, and there is something else as well." Hagrid began to say and handed the goblin a letter with bright red letters that said, 'Top Secret. "It's about you-know-what in vault you-know-which." He said as he got closer to the goblin in a whisper.
That immediately set off warning signs inside of her head, that something was not right and that things were going to go wrong. *Ask for an inheritance test* a whispery crocket voice told her in her head. *Really, Voldeshorts? But, do as he says because you will figure out many things about yourself that can help you in the future* That voice she trusted more than, the former.
"Don't tell me you could communicate with that soul piece of Morty shorts too?" Hermione asked out loud shocked that they hadn't known it.
"Not really, but sometimes he would come with small comments that would actually help me in some ways," Hadriana told them, while Sirius nodded because he too could hear those times they talked.
"Very Well." Said the goblin, as Hadriana looked weirdly at the two of them confused and got handed the key with a warning to always have a hold of it.
Hagrid, Hadriana and the goblin that had the name of Griphook on his shirt walked into a deeper part of the bank and placed themselves inside of a cart. Deeper into the mind, left, left, right, left, right, right, left, right, left, left and thereafter it all was a ginormous blur of dips and turns before they came to a vault. "Vault 697. Lamp please."
"Key Please."
Hadriana handed him the key a little bit shocked, but more than a little bit elated after the trip down. The door opened with a screech, and the vault showed them a very large pile of money and along with the money quite a few different items.
If they had seen her face, they would have noticed the calculating look on her face, but all they could see was the shock in her eyes because this could not have been all hers – it was enough to buy all of Privet Drive. All she now had to do is come back without Hagrid to see about a test, because something told her that she should keep it a secret from someone.
"Dint think yer mum and dad, would leave you with nothin', now did ya?" Hagrid said with a teasing smirk.
Hadriana was handed a small pouch by the goblin, and she had a lot more questions, but she didn't want someone there with her when she would ask them. So, she did what anyone would have done, placed a couple of them in her pouch, Gallons as they told her, Knut's, and Sickles into it, before they made their way to another Vault.
"Vault 713," Griphook told them, and Hadriana could not help but stare into the vault in confusion.
"What's in there Hagrid?"
Hagrid shook his head, "Can't tell you that Hadriana. Hogwarts business, very secret."
Everyone from the future except, Hadriana and Sirius groaned. "What's wrong with being curious?" asked Sirius.
"Don't tell me she got the curious gene from you?" asked Ron, and with a look towards his friend's soul mate.
"Maybe, maybe not." Sirius gave a smirk knowing that she got it from her father because he had always been too curious sometimes, and likewise from her mother.
"Stand back," Griphook told them, and they did. He dragged his nail across the door and created a loud screeching sound.
The metal door opened and revealed a small brown package in the middle of the room. Hagrid immediately grabbed it and placed it into his pocket.
"Best not to mention this to anyone Hadriana," Hagrid told her, and she nodded in understanding. They made their way up to the top again, and Hadriana managed to take advantage of Hagrid's queasiness to get some of her shopping alone. "You don't look so good, Hagrid. Why don't you go and take a pint at Leaky Cauldron, while I do some of the shopping?"
"Are you sure?" Hagrid asked, a little bit unsure because he had gotten a clear message from Dumbledore to have her insight the whole time.
"Yes, I am sure. I can handle it."
"Okay, then. Let's say we meet up at that shop over there later?" Hagrid told her and pointed over towards a shop named 'Olivander's'
"Then let's do so," Hadriana said and watched him go towards the pub – she was relieved that she finally could be alone and do things her way.
The scene shifted to show her inside the bank again, talking and haggling with one of the goblins, to get an inheritance done. Then to the inside of one of the many offices around. "Seven drops of blood on this parchment."
"Why is he looking so surprised at it?" somebody asked confused.
"If we can watch, then you will see."
"Read this while I go and find your account manager and your heiress rings."
The more Hadriana knew of this magical world, the more confused she became and knew that she had a lot to read up on in the future if she wanted to live here. The parchment made her even more confused.

Hadriana looked at everything on the parchment, and everything became a lot more confusing than she had believed. She had only believed that she would have been a Potter, not everything else other than the Blacks.
"How can my mother be related to Grindelwald?" Hadriana asked after her account manager had been introduced to her.
"It seemed to have been your grandfather's father, and because he was born a squib, he was hidden away in the muggle world. To learn more, I suggest that you read about it in a book." Bloodfang told her and placed five boxes on the table.
With each ring she placed on her finger, a little information came along with it.
"You can wish them invisible if you want to, but one piece of advice shows your Potter ring. All of them will have a portkey embedded in them. Every month you will get a statement, and you will get a ledger with everything in them at the end of the month."
That would make everything easier, now a bigger question was, "Do you have something that I can have, so, that I don't have to come to the bank every time I run out of money?"
"We have a credit card, that works in both worlds and your ring will also work as a transaction. As you only are eleven, you can only get a hold of your trust vault the one that Griphook took you to."
"I will take one of those."
After everyone had seen these things was damn quiet in the whole great hall, and everyone was looking at Lily and Hadriana with questions in their eyes. "Don't look at us, we can't do anything about the past," Hadriana said coldly, it was almost worse now than when everyone in the future got hold of that information.
It wasn't their friends that were the most shocked, it was the parents and Dumbledore that looked the most shell-shocked out of everyone.
(AN: I can't believe that I did this trope again in this story!)
Dumbledore had to hide his hands in his robes, because how could that be and why hadn't Gellert said anything to him that he had a son? 'Did you cheat on me?' was all that he could think of or was it even before they had been together?
While Dumbledore had a crisis everyone had their eyes on him, and they all could see an inner conflict going on.
*How do you think it went over? * Hadriana asked her lover.
*Weirdly okay, though, I think they are going to take your mother to the bank after everything is over, after all, she will be weirdly accepted after this gets out there. * Sirius told her, and laid his hand over her shoulder, and looked at Teddy with fondness.
After the bank things shifted over every other store, showing her spending a lot of time in the bookstores, getting a wardrobe and everything else. Until it shifted to her standing outside of the wand shop.
"I am so excited. We get to see our daughter buy her very first wand." Squealed James together with Lily, though, she was doing it a little bit quieter than her boyfriends did.
Hadriana walked into the shop, "Hello?" she called out, then a man suddenly came closer on a ladder shocking her, as she jumped slightly.
"I wondered when I would be seeing you, Ms Potter." He greeted her with a creepy smile and walked towards her with one of the many wands littering around the shop at random.
"It seems only yesterday that your mother and father came in to buy their own wands." He told her, and took the wand and handed it to her, "take it and give it a wave."
Hadriana looked at him confused, but she did as she was told and gave it a quiet wave – papers flew out of everywhere. 'What the heck!' she told herself shocked and placed the wand back on the table in front of her.
"Apparently not." He mumbled and grabbed another box from another shelf, before handing the wand over to the girl. "Perhaps… This."
She gave it a wave again, causing a glass vase to shatter from behind her.
"No, no, not. No matter." He said, before walking to the back of the show, a couple of minutes later he returned with a box that looked dusty and old. "I wonder." The owner of the wands mumbled, but with curiosity and suspicion swimming in his eyes.
Walking forwards slowly, he carefully handed Hadriana the wand that was quite special eyes widening slightly as she gave it a wave.
With that, a bright golden spark shone down around Hadriana, and with-it wind came out of nowhere. Blowing her hair backwards, showing her scar.
"Curious… very curious." He said, staring at her in amazement – wiping the smile Hadriana had around her mouth.
"Sorry, but what's curious?" asked Hadriana awkwardly.
The entire hall leaned forwards slightly, wanting to know what was so special about the wand.
Olivander takes the wand from her gently and stared at her "I remember every wand I've ever sold, Ms Potter. It so happens that the Phoenix whose tailed feather resides inside your wand gave another feather. Just one other. It's curious that you should be destined for this wand… when its brother gave you that scar."
"And, who owned that wand?"
"We do not speak his name. The wand chooses the wizard or witch, Ms Potter. It's not always clear why. but I think it's clear we can expect great things from you. after all, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named did great things – terrible, but great." He finished and handed the wand to Hadriana including a wand holster.
Everyone in the great hall was so shocked to say anything to anyone, including the professors and the ministry workers.
"Why is this so shocking? Don't you have any logic inside your heads?" Hadriana looked at them shaking her head at the people.
At that they looked away embarrassed, "It's still shocking to have it so blandly told to us." Lily said, still a little bit shocked overhearing this. "I wonder what actually happened?" she asked, with a little bit of stutter in her voice.
"The whole thing is impossible!" Walburga told them with a sneer on her face. "If he gave you that scar. You would be dead." "Unless he speared your life that is." Was Orion's reply, and most of the purebloods stared at him, agreeing with it because that was the most obvious answer.
Hadriana or Sirius didn't deem it any reason to answer them, because they soon would know what happened that one day.
Hadriana looked at him weirdly, paid him and then spun around hearing a loud tapping noise on the window behind her.
"Hadriana. Hadriana! Happy birthday!" Hagrid said, and his voice was heard loud and clear as she walked out, and he was holding a snowy white owl inside a cage.
"Wow!" Hadriana said in amazement because it was the first birthday present, she had ever gotten from anyone.
"Thank you, Hagrid," James said, to the man, who teared up at his on-screen self.
Things changed around, and they were then seen sitting quietly at the Leaky Cauldron eating. "You alright Hadriana?" Hagrid asked and gave her a curious stare.
"He killed my parents, didn't he? The one that gave me this?" Hadriana asked after a time, touched the lightning bolt scar on her head, and watched the giant of a man become very hesitant, almost scared.
"You know right, Hagrid? I know you do?" Hadriana finally asked and looped up at him.
Hagrid sighed reluctantly, "first, and understand this, Hadriana, because it's important. Not all wizards are good, some of them are bad. A few years ago, there was one wizard who went bad as they come, and his name was V- his name was V…"
"Maybe, if you wrote it down." Hadriana offered, but Hagrid shook his head.
"Nah, I can't spell it. Alright, Voldemort."
Many people flinched and looked in shock that there was someone that uttered the name at all.
"Voldemort?" Hadriana asked quietly because she could understand that something like this would be hard to hear.
"It was dark times, Hadriana, dark times." Hagrid started the history lesson, Hadriana looked at him with wide eyes.
Suddenly the scene of the movie changed to a tall, cloaked figure that was walking down a street, towards a wooded era. Hagrid's voice was heard over the scene, "Voldemort started to gather followers, brought them over to the dark side. Anyone that stood up to him ended up dead – your parents fought against him, but nobody lived once he decided to kill them. Nobody, not one, except you."
Nobody said one word as they watched it unfold on the screen, and their eyes were glued to the screen.
Voldemort walked through a gate on a house, it was in a muggle neighbourhood. He used his wand to unlock the front door, and older more mature-looking lily was holding a baby and ran slamming a door, tears were seen running down her face as she placed Hadriana down in her crib. Lily kissed her on her forehead, whispering something unheard by anyone where her scar would be in the future. "Daddy loves you Hadriana." "Mummy, loves you, Hadriana." She said, before turning around and coming face to face with Voldemort, who had blasted the door open. Then turned to Lily and threw the killing curs towards her – Lily's lifeless body fell down to the ground with a loud thud, while Hadriana lay there staring curiously up at the unknown man in the room as her tears run down her cheeks.
Then he pointed his wand towards baby Hadriana, then a bright green light filled the room before the scene changed back to the Leaky Cauldron.
Lily, along with James and all of their friends – and even the entire hall had tears running down their cheeks.
Euphemia and Fleamont hugged their children close, afraid that they suddenly were going to disappear from their sight.
Young Sirius couldn't believe that something like this had happened, Remus and even Peter had tears running down their cheeks.
"Me, Voldemort tried to kill me?" Hadriana asked with wide eyes to Hagrid, who nodded solemnly.
"Yes, that ain't no ordinary scar on your forehead Hadriana. A mark like that only comes from being touched by a curse. An evil curse at that."
"What happened to V-, to You-know-who?" Hadriana asked as Hagrid took another look around.
"Well, some say he died, Codswallop in my opinion. Nope, I reckon he's out there still… too tired to carry on, but one thing is certain. Something about you stumped him that day, Hadriana, that is why you're famous. That is why everybody knows your name. You are the girl who lived."
"You defeated him?" Everyone looked at Hadriana, and the little family she was surrounded by. Everyone else was staring at her in awe and surprised that something like that happened in the future.
"You can't have done it. It's impossible!" Orion hissed angrily and stared at the girl with wide eyes. "It's a lie!" he muttered glaring at the girl, along with his wife.
"Shut up dad!" Sirius hissed, "if there is one thing you should know about my wife, is that nothing is impossible when it comes down to her." he smirked knowingly and kissed Hadriana on her forehead.
That shocked them because no one had heard Sirius that angry before no one except his friends. They had known that he could be that angry, but even they hadn't known that he had it in himself that he could do it against his father.
"Clearly it isn't impossible, as she is sitting here," Luna told them all, her voice was as dreamy as always.
