The doors to the Temple of Time were locked, and Raru, the owner of the arm, appeared to Izuku for the first time to tell him about the Shrines of Light on the island. There were only three, as Izuku could see.
Raru's full name was Raru Torino, and he was the first king of Hyrule. He was a Zonai, and Izuku was surprised to see that the Zonai actually had long animal-like ears and proportions like the murals had depicted. He was only a spirit, but Izuku was pleased to see what the king had actually looked like.
The first Shrine, the one closest to the temple, gave Izuku an ability. This ability was called Ultrahand, and he could move objects around, much like magnesis, and stick them together with some sort of green glue. Instead of a monk at the end of each Shrine, there was some sort of statue of the Zonai Raru, and a Hylian lady Izuku did not recognize. Instead of Spirit orbs, they gifted him a Blessing of Light, which removed a small bit of Gloom from him. Izuku had also found a shirt too, so now he was armored the best he could.
Izuku wondered how he wasn't dead.
The second Shrine he found was near a lake. It gave him the ability to fuse items to his arrows, weapons, and shields. There was a Construct inside of that Shrine that looked different from the other two types he had encountered. This type could attach items to their weapon like Izuku could, so it was a trial for him to get better at Fuse. After beating this Shrine of Light, a Steward Construct gave him an Energy Cell so he could use Zonai contraptions to his will as long as the battery was full.
The final Shrine was on a snowy peak. Izuku had to take a cave route to get to it, and when he did he found a strange frog that, when shot by an arrow, dropped a gem and a Blupee. Izuku found some warm pants and headed up the peak with them on. That Shrine gave him the ability to ascend through objects above him. Acend would prove very helpful, as he could easily leave caves that way.
Inside the Temple of Time sat a yellow teardrop shaped gem. It gifted Izuku another ability named Recall, which gave him the power to turn back time on any moving object for a limited time. That would prove helpful as well. The Temple of Time's back door to where Uraraka was waiting was a test of strength. Izuku needed one more Blessing of Light to get more of his health returned to him so he could get through.
Uraraka had appeared for a brief moment when Izuku had touched the stone, and that's when Recall had been gifted to him.
"There is one last Shrine on this island," Raru explained. "It's somewhere in the room you started in, I believe." He tapped the side of his head with the palm of his hand. "But then again, Hyrule has changed over the years, so Great Sky Island could have as well...Perhaps I'm remembering things wrong."
"I don't think so," Izuku said, shaking his head. "The room had giant cogs, right? Why else would I gain Recall by Uraraka unless she knew where it was?"
Raru looked up at the island. "You make a fair point, Izuku. Even if it isn't there, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check. Except, it would be impossible to reach there again. Unless you have some sort of way to reach that room, we're going to be trapped here."
"I don't think so," Izuku said. He brought out the Purah Pad. "This should have a teleportation ability on it."
Raru examined it as well. "I remember this. If you don't mind, could I see it for a moment?"
Izuku passed it to him, and Raru messed around with it for a few minutes before handing it back.
"I think I got it working again," he said. "You should try going back to the room you awoke in."
"Great, thanks!"
"O-of course, Izuku."
Izuku teleported back to the Room of Awakening. Izuku had to ascend through a platform to get to the water wheels. He rewinded one of them and walked along a short bridge. When he closed his hand into a fist, the water wheel stopped going backwards, continuing its usual course.
The final Shrine was just a trial for him to get better at using Recall. The ability was the easiest to use so far besides Ascend, and Izuku finished the Shrine very quickly.
He teleported to the Shine near the Temple of Time and entered the temple again. He prayed to the statue of Hylia inside and got some of his strength back. He pushed opened the doors, but didn't see Uraraka anywhere.
"I didn't reach her fast enough..." He walked towards a pedestal.
"Don't worry," Raru comforted, placing a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "You'll find her."
"Thanks, King Raru."
"You can call me Raru." He smiled. "We are close enough."
Izuku spotted a yellow orb of light above the pedestal. He brought out the Master Sword as it weakly lit up. Izuku held out the sword with both hands to the light. The Master Sword floated over to the light and vanished, causing Izuku to flinch back.
A dragon flew past the platform Izuku was standing on. The blonde-ish hair blowing in the breeze, and the white scales shimmering from the sunlight.
"Woah!" Izuku gasped. "It's a dragon!"
"That's the Light Dragon," Raru explained calmly. "Some say it's Hylia herself."
As Izuku watched the dragon fly further from the platform, he remembered about Naydra and when he had to free her from the Malice. Malice was easier to deal with than Gloom, because at least it didn't permanently shorten your life. Staring at the majestic beauty of the Light Dragon, a sense of familiarity washed over him. He shook it off, knowing that he did not know Hylia like his mind was tricking him into thinking. The clouds below the island cleared as the Light Dragon faded into the distance.
Izuku could see Hyrule below him, and a large pool of water he could land in! Izuku rushed to the edge and jumped off with as much grace as he could.
Which wasn't much.
He had actually tripped, and as he attempted to straighten himself, he started spinning in circles as he fell. He slapped against the surface of the water and sank in, popping his head above as he swam to the edge. He got out of the water and rubbed his stomach.
"Oww..." He rubbed his face.
"Are you alright?" Raru asked, reappearing at the edge of the water.
"I'm fine. Tip, never trip before diving."
Author note: I really love the Steward Constructs (because they are adorable!), so I decided to give them personalities. (Hench the timid one explaining about the Constructs in the last chapter.) Also, I love Raru, so he's still going to show up during this too. (It's my fanfiction, I can do what I want! Muahahaha!) Also, I bring back King Roham for a small moment because I like him too. (I also have a theory that Zelda's the Light Dragon but don't review me with spoilers saying if she is or not!)
(Also, Ganon quotes the Dark Star Bowser in one of the very last chapters lol.)
