In Hartford CT, Emily and Richard Gilmore were sitting in shock. Not only had their granddaughter turned her back on their family but things were starting to get worse business wise. Richard Gilmore was loosing clients left and right and all of his existing clients were finding ways to back out. Things weren't much better in Stars Hollow. Lorelai had gone into work at the inn looking forward to the wedding that was happening on Saturday only to find out the client changed their venue. When she called the client to find out what happened she was informed that they did not want to get married at an inn owned by someone who told their pregnant daughter she could never come home just because of the father. Lorelai immediately called up her parents.

"Dad, I'm loosing clients left and right what is going on?"

"Rory did a TV interview with KABC as well as a press conference and the news article. I'm loosing clients as well."

"There has to be something we can do right? I mean at this rate I'll have to shut down the inn!"

"That ungrateful child! She is the cause of this. I'm assuming you can come over and we will call her and tell her to fix this."

"Yeah dad I'll be there in about 30 minutes." They hung up and Lorelai left the inn informing sookie that she would be going to see her parents but the status of the inn was up in the air.

The elder Gilmore's were in Richard's office when their daughter arrived. When she was shown it they prepared to call Rory hoping they could talk some sense into the ungrateful child.

Richard dialed her number and immediately put the phone on speaker.

"Hello grandfather how can I help you?"

"Hello Rory. I am here with your mother and grandmother as well. We need to have a talk. Your little stint with the paper and the press conference and television has had serious damage on our companies. Your mother is on the verge of closing the inn and Gilmore insurance is loosing clients left and right."

"Well I'm sorry grandfather but I stated nothing but the truth."

"You ungrateful child! We have done nothing but be good to you! We paid for Chilton we paid for Yale and all we asked is that you show us the respect we deserve!" Emily yelled into the phone. They heard some shuffling on the other side and it was no longer Rory on the phone.

"That is enough Emily! My son paid you back for Chilton and Yale! You can no longer hang that over her head. She did nothing but show you respect till Lorelai pretty much threw her out of the house. As far as we are concerned you deserve everything that has happened to you. Now if you will excuse us. We have a family breakfast to get to." Straub hung up the phone and the Gilmore family was speechless.

"So what now? Do I have to close? Move out of town?" Lorelai sounded defeated a tone that her parents had never heard from her. They were truly worried.

" No we will figure this out. Lorelai why don't you head upstairs and get some sleep." She nodded and went upstairs leaving her parents to talk.

"What do we do Richard. I've never heard her so defeated. How do we fix this?" Emily asked him.

"I'm not sure Emily but I will figure it out. For now why don't you go lay down as well and I will think of something to do." Richard kissed his wife before she walked out of the office. Sighing he considers his options. He could sell Gilmore insurance, have Lorelai sell her inn and they could move to London to live with his mother, he could run a retraction in the paper or he could call up Mitchum and work something out. He had some serious consideration to do.
