Hey there everyone! So sorry for the long wait. Life caught up with me, then afterward I began writing my Encanto 2 story and I got caught up in that as well, so when someone recently asked me to continue with this story I was like, 'Omg, I do need to finish that' and so yay! I'm back! I hope you all enjoy this next chapter!
All the fairies who were on the main platform of the Pixie Dust tree bowed to Queen Clarion, while the new arrival simply sat there, not sure of what was going on. The Minister of Spring and Fairy Gary flew closer to the Queen and gave her another bow before the Minister of Spring looked up to her with anger still reflected in his eyes
"Queen Clarion, Zarina has disobeyed Fairy Gary once more and has used blue pixie dust to awaken our newest arrival." The Minister of Spring stated matter-of-factly
"…Fairy Gary, is this true?" Queen Clarion asked with a look that hoped it wasn't
"Your majesty…I'm sorry" Fairy Gary replied with resigned defeat
"I see" Queen Clarion said with a sigh, then looked to Zarina and said "I'm very disappointed in you Zarina. You promised you wouldn't use the blue dust without permission. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to take away your Pixie Dust Alchemy privileges until the next Spring time."
"What?! But that's over a whole year away!" Zarina cried out
"Hey, it won't be so bad. We'll keep you busy until then." Tinkerbell said to her, trying to help cheer her up
"Your majesty, I think that is far too lenient. Who knows what she could have done to our new arrival by using the blue dust? She needs to truly understand that there are consequences to her actions" The Minister of Spring protested
"Oh come now my friend, the new fairy is safe. The Queen has made her decision" The Minister of Autumn interjected
"I just don't believe that taking away her alchemy is enough for the seriousness of this transgression." The Minister of Spring retorted
"And what would you have her do? She's already taken away her pixie dust alchemy, what more do you want?" The Minister of Summer argued
"…excuse me"
This voice drew everyone's attention towards the new arrival, who stood up while everyone was talking amongst each other. She made her way over to where Zarina stood, putting a hand on her arm in comfort as she looked up to the Fairy Gary and Fairy Mary, the Ministers, and the Queen.
"I don't really understand what's going on here, but please don't be too upset with her. From what I can tell, she's the reason I'm here now. And I'm grateful to her for that." The new arrival said with a gentle but rational voice.
This left everyone to look towards the Queen, who looked at the new arrival for a moment before closing her eyes and giving another small sigh, then looked back to Zarina.
"In respect for our newest fairy, I'll shall only take away your pixie dust alchemy for the next 3 months. However, during that time you will do anything and everything that Fairy Gary tells you to do. Do you understand?" Queen Clarion said with a firm but gentle tone
"Yes…I understand" Zarina said as she lowered her head sadly
"Good. Now then…" Queen Clarion said before directing her attention to the newly born fairy, who looked back at her with an expression of wonder, before flying down to her and taking her hands, saying "Welcome to Pixie Hollow young one. I'm sorry for the poor welcome you received, but now we can move forward."
"Its alright, I'm just happy that…whatever it is that just happened got better."
Queen Clarion smiled at this and waved everyone back to where they were before she had arrived at the tree, which made everyone bow in response before doing so. Fairy Gary and Fairy Mary returned to their original spots while Tinkerbell and the others took off in another direction together with Zarina. The Ministers stayed where they were but moved back to give them space.
"Now how about I help you learn to fly. Can you flutter your wings?" Queen Clarion smiled
"My what?" She asked, arching her eyebrow in confusion
The new fairy looked to her backside and saw her white, glittery wings, which made her gasp in awe at the sight of them. They then began to flutter, which made her giggle as she began to rise into the air as the fluttering got faster. Queen Clarion rose up into the air with her as she held onto her hand, but as soon as they were a few feet above the ground she let go of the new fairy's hand, which made the new fairy slightly worry for a moment, but then realized she was alright and she began to fly around in a wide circle, giggling as she did so and waving to those around her they watched everything unfold. When she finally flew back down to where Queen Clarion was, she still had a smile plastered on her face.
"This is amazing" She said, but then saw Queen Clarion's wings and looked at hers, then looked back to the Queen and asked "And they look just like yours."
"Yes…and I think I may know why. Come"
Queen Clarion led the new fairy to the center of the platform and then created a ring of mushrooms with her magic, which was the que for fairies to bring forward items belonging to their respective talents. They placed the items onto mushrooms then flew back to where they were sitting. While this was happening, Tinkerbell and the others had flown over to a nearby platform to watch what happens, looking at each other with expressions of uncertainty.
"What do you think she's going to get?" Tinkerbell whispered to them
"I don't know, but I'm sure eager to find out" Rosetta whispered back
"A fairy born from a baby's laugh and awoken by blue pixie dust. Whatever talent she gets, it'll go down in the fairy history books." Iridessa said with awe
"Well then she better not get the fast-flying talent. I'm the fastest fairy there is, and I'm not letting a newbie take that from me." Vidia said with a smirk
"Oh come on Vidia, this is an exciting moment for everyone!" Silvermist whispered back to Vidia with both a smirk and an eyeroll, and then looked to Zarina and said "Don't be too hard on yourself about this Zarina, we all know you didn't mean any harm."
"I know…I was just always wondering what would happen if blue dust was used during the arrival day ceremony. Would that make a fairy's talent stronger? Or would it just have the same effect as the regular dust? And once I found out there was a new arrival heading to the tree…I just couldn't stop myself." Zarina quietly replied with her head still down
"Well, it looks like we're about to find out." Fawn quietly said before pointing to the main platform
The new fairy let go of Queen Clarion's hand and flew down to the platform, quietly walking around as she looked at the items presented to her. She then made her way over to the glowing ball of light that belonged to the light-talent fairies. She tilted her head slightly at the sight of it, with a look of both wonder and warmth.
"Please be light, please be light, please be light!" Iridessa quietly chanted, which made the other girls give her sideways looks that basically said 'Really?'
The fairy held out her hand and picked up the ball of light, which rested in her hand as though it was natural, just like the other light-talent fairies could.
"Yes! She's a Light-talent fairy! We are going to be so popular!" Iridessa whispered gleefully as tried to contain her excitement while raising her arms up in the air.
"That was fast" Tinkerbell stated
"Hold on, what's happening to her wings?" Rosetta pointed out
As the fairy held the ball of light, the swirled designs in her wings began to glow with the same golden yellow color that the light-talent fairies are represented by. Queen Clarion's eyes widened at this, as did Tinkerbell and the others. Noticing how everyone was looking at her, the fairy looked behind her and saw what was happening to her wings, making her quickly place the ball of light back onto the mushroom, which made the golden yellow color disappear. This made the fairies that were watching her begin to whisper and chatter amongst each other. She gave a look of confusion for a moment, then moved over to the mushroom that had a drop of water and hesitantly picked up the water drop. Surprisingly, she was able to hold it, which made everyone burst in to a flurry of hushed excitement, with Tinkerbell and the girls looking to one another in shock.
"She can pick it up? Does that mean she's also a Water-talent fairy?" Vidia questioned
"I thought fairies only had one talent?" Fawn said with confusion
The designs in the fairy's wings then began to glow the light blue color of the Water-talent fairies. Seeing this, she quickly put the water drop down and rushed over to the nearby hammer and picking it up, causing her wings to do glow the green color of the Tinker-talent fairies, then over to a mushroom with an egg on it, which made them glow the orange color of the Animal-talent fairies before setting it back down. Making her way back into the middle of the circle, she saw the items on the mushrooms rise up into the air and begin to brightly glow. Her wings began to flurry through a rainbow of flashing colors belonging to the many different talents of the fairies of Pixie Hollow. The items began to circle around her as they continued to shine brightly. Once the light died down, the items in question returned to their respective talent-fairies, and the rainbow colors in her wings faded away into their usual transparent, white color.
"What just happened?" Rosetta questioned
"Did she not get a talent?" Silvermist questioned as well
"I think she got…all the talents?" Tinkerbell replied with a head tilt of confusion
"But that's not possible! Fairies only have one talent! Just one!" Iridessa whispered in a panic
"Well how would you explain it?" Fawn questioned Iridessa
"Maybe this is kind of like Zarina's pixie dust alchemy? You saw her wings" Vidia commented
"Shh, listen" Rosetta shushed everyone, pointing to the Queen and new fairy
The new fairy looked to Queen Clarion with a confused expression.
"I don't understand. Did I do something wrong?" She asked with a worried tone
"No, you did everything right. This is all going just the way it should." Queen Clarion replied with an understanding expression, as though she was just enlightened
This made the fairy look even more confused, which made Queen Clarion chuckle a tiny bit before taking the fairy's hand again and having both of them fly up into the air so that all the fairies of Pixie Hollow could see them better. The fairy looked at Queen Clarion with an unsure expression as the Queen began to speak.
"By tomorrow's end, I shall make a very important announcement. Until then, you will all go about your work."
Hearing this, the fairies surrounding them all began to chatter and object to this command, but the Queen simply held up her hand in patience, which made everyone quiet down as she continued.
"But before that, I shall introduce you all to our newest fairy: Evangeline."
Alrighty, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. Again, sorry for the long wait, life really likes to get in the way of creativity, am I right? I'll try to keep up with the story better as I was really eager to do this story before I got distracted with Encanto. Until then, feel free to check out my other stories, which I hope you'll like them.
