Chapter 80: A Message
EARTH SXF-01
FORGER HOUSEHOLD
BERLINT, OSTANIA
This world was much like his own world during the Cold War. It seemed like it was on the brink of war. Scout continued to look for psychics, as were his current goals. He did think he found some signal of some psychic energy; it was a bit harder to track in this world since their computers were primitive by their standards, and he had found no trace of magic.
Scout found a way into a nearby television. That's when they were found.
A scruffy-looking man sighed as he shifted his glasses. Operation Stryx was as good as dead. Yor and Twilight were amongst those who turned to dust. Every nation on the planet, not just Ostania and Westalis were pointing fingers at each other, blaming each other for this mess. It was only a matter of time before someone got trigger-happy. Wise was short-staffed and trying to keep a lid on this whole mess.
Franky looked at the girl, "Are you ready?"
Anya Forger was one of the targets of Scout, he didn't find a paper trail to prove it, but he detected psychic energies from this girl. The girl with pink hair and horn-like hair decorations looked on sadly, and she couldn't have been more than six.
A sizeable puffy dog nudged against the girl trying to keep her spirits up. That was the second psychic energy Scout had picked up on.
Anya had become sad, the family she'd gotten had been taken away, and now she had to leave her new home.
Anya nodded to the man who was going to take her away. Franky was taking care of her now that her parents were gone. They were going to the countryside just in case something started in the city.
The dog Bond brought over Anya's plushy chimera doll, which Anya took and held close. Franky grabbed her bag, and they started to make their way out.
Scout watched it. Maybe it was because he had too much of his creator in him, but Scout wasn't going to pull a kid into this mess. They had already been through enough.
Good Luck, Kid.
With that, Scout left to inform the others that he didn't find any suitable candidate.
Anya paused and looked back, sure she heard someone say something.

AVENGER'S COMPOUND
"And make sure to connect that into the psychic field shifter," The Doctor motioned to Jenny, putting the final touches on a device they had been working on.
"And that's it?" Jenny asked, putting in the final plug.
The machine hummed lightly.
The Doctor smiled, "It didn't explode! I think it's working! High five!"
The Doctor held out her hand for Jenny to slap quickly. Both of them were delighted by the results of their project.
Missy strode in, rolling her eyes and holding back her weary sigh. "Really? High five? I think a hug might be a bit more appropriate." The Doctor wriggled her nose at her, "Don't get pouty, dear. I bring gifts."
Missy held out a large dark blue crystal.
The Doctor quickly identified it, "A sapphire from Metebelis 3? I had one but left mine in the Tardis when it got all dusty. Where did you get one?"
"Metebelis 3, I would have thought that would have been obvious." Missy bopped the Doctor's nose before dropping the crystal in her hand.
"Dad?" Jenny asked,
"One of these crystals can greatly boost one's psychic abilities," The Doctor studied it for a moment, "It gave a colony of spider psychic powers once and a massive ego. But if we use this to help stabilize the device, the goods will have a much greater chance of success and of not blowing up people's brains."
"Is there a high chance of that?" Betsy and some of the other psychics waited a few feet away.
"Let me show you how to install it," The Doctor nudged Jenny towards the device and ignored to answer it.
A few psychics had tried to peer into her mind to find they either weren't able to with her primary mental defenses or if they managed past the blocks to see her thoughts very complicated.
They weren't sure how any of this was going to work. They were hoping to get more psychics to help, but Tony was afraid of their time limit, and they weren't coming up with the numbers. They were doing their best with what they had.
A floating egg-like gold robot floated by Gwen flashing images of the Martian Manhunter and Miss Martian. "If your device has taken Martian DNA, your abilities might help with our lack of psychics."
Gwen turned the dial, trying to find the right setting. Gwen was still getting used to the Omnitrix, but before she knew it, the screen shifted on its own as if reacting to her thoughts. Gwen could only assume this was part of the master controls that Azmuth gave her. Gwen pressed the screen when it stopped on a slender figure with a long head.
In a flash of light, Gwen transformed into a green martian. She noted, "Uh, I don't exactly look like J'onn."
Skeets scanned her, "You do match a martian biologically. Martians are shape shifters, and it's common for them to take on more human-like forms."
Gwen felt her skin and form shift, slowly changing into a form more akin to a cross of herself and the picture of Miss Martian.
A black jumpsuit formed over her, along with a blue cloak. It reminded Gwen a lot of the Lucky Girl outfit though there was also a large red X over her torso. Gwen took a moment to see her reflection in a window, and it was surprising to see a different, similar face looking back at her, especially as it was green. Gwen had to wonder how Ben got so comfortable changing everything so often. It was a little disconnecting to feel a new body, to know it was her, feel like it was hers but see it was so different.
Reigen and his people arrived next, and though Reigen didn't look, he was nervous. In the last few days, not only had half the population vanished, but their homeworld was also gone, and now he had been drafted to work with actual super-powered people. He was enough of a con man to know that they weren't lying, and somehow no one seemed to notice he was lying. Most of them praised him and thanked him for the help he was providing.
The one thing that was on his side was that very few people seemed to be able to see Dimple.
Dimple whispered, "Don't worry, I'm here."
Dimple had agreed to get Reigen to provide him with some power, it would be nowhere what Mob could do, but it would be enough to stay on the heroes' good gracious and maybe help them.
Tomoe nearby gave him a thumbs up. Ritsu just stared on; not sure how this would work.
Mewtwo arrived, Kirby leading him along. As strange things were, Mewtwo found it odd that Kirby seemed to recognize it. Missy eventually explained that Kirby must have met a variant of Mewtwo. She did think she saw something similar to Mewtwo during the fight with Galeem's forces.
The various psychics started to come through, with Steve and Tony arriving at the end to ensure everything went well.
Zatanna was adding some final touches to the Timeladies device. Zatanna had quite a bit of magic centered on the mind and could boost the effects.
As they finished up, Tony spoke, "Okay, everyone, thanks for the help on this project. If this works, we might be able to locate Thanos."
"How we stop him is another story," Steve admitted, "But first step."
Nebula walked in slowly as if hesitating.
"And that's our final guest," Tony announced, "If what the Doc said is accurate, then she is the key to this."
"Okay, the psychic array is good to go!" The Doctor checked Zatanna's work, "This should do nicely, Telepath are to stand on the inner ring, general psychics in the second ring."
The Doctor motioned around. Everyone with psychic or mental powers was there, except Alexis. They worried his stability would be no help at the moment, and he was busy with his project.
After telling Jenny some final instructions, the Doctor went to her spot.
Tony was playing with one of the orbs, half expecting a solution to arrive any moment; he turned to Nebula. "You okay with this?"
"Yes," Nebula responded, trying to seem stoic, but her nerves were getting to her. "They will probe my mind, and I will think of my father. They will use that to try and pinpoint him."
"If anything feels wrong," Steve told her, "say the word, and we will stop. This goes for everyone."
You didn't need to be psychic to know there was tension in the room, and this was crazy beyond anything most of them had done.
Tony put down the orb by the Doctor's device and stood by. Zatanna cast some magic to help but the psychic power.
The Doctor and Missy both said together, "Contact."
The other felt a mental pull tugging on them, and they did their best not to resist it. Telepaths were a bit used to it, the empaths had to put some effort, but for everyone else, it was a struggle. But they felt their combined powers pulling together and focusing on Nebula.
Nebula forced herself to recall her strongest memories of her father, and when she did, they all flinched. They saw her memories of being taken from her homeworld, being taught to fight and kill, fighting her sister, and when she lost to be changed. They saw it; Rose felt sick feeling it; Thanos kept awake as she took out her body parts and replaced them, telling her all the time how she was a failure and this would improve her. They felt him do this over and over again. Misty felt a great anger boil in her at the memories.
Then they saw the battle on Titan, and how Thanos told her he'd sacrificed Gamora seemed to hurt more than anything else. Many felt their knees about to bend at the pain they were going through, and some wanted to weep.
Then they all gasped as energy erupted outwards and searched for someone. Far away, they saw a man in purple in their minds as he clenched his fist and turned towards them, the yellow stone on the gauntlet glowing.
They screamed in pain.
"Stop it!" Steve ordered Jenny.
Jenny frantically pulled the plug, "I'm trying! It's not us! The connection has been severed!"
The group fell to the ground writhing, unable to stop, even Nebula. Glass shattered around the lighting flickered on and off, people around the base suddenly got headaches, and people with magic felt sick. Gwen's Omnitrix was shifting her through forms but still on aliens with psychic abilities unable to break the link.
Then they stopped. Those unaffected looked on, terrified if this had killed them.
Tony stepped forward, and their eyes opened, glowing faintly yellow.
"Mister Stark." They spoke in perfect unison and in a voice not their own.
"Vision?"
"Mister… Stark…"
"Vision?" Steve walked up, "but you-"
"Died? I did. Twice it seems." Vision continued, "It's difficult but not unfamiliar… I am a voice without a body once more. Or, in this case, many bodies."
"How's this possible?" Steve asked.
"There is more than Heaven and Hell than what's dreamt of in your philosophy." Vision quoted, "To be blunt, I do not know. I can only wager a guess, myself or at least an aspect of my mind remains in the stone. I don't think we have much time. Thanos is countering the mental probing, and I am countering his counter. I am hiding them. If it works, Thanos will relent, thinking they have been killed."
"Vision?" Tony began, "Not to be insensitive, but-"
"You want information. I am afraid I cannot help much. Even this, I think there is something else at play allowing it. All I know is Thanos- Thanos has a plan to- Aaah!"
They screamed as the connection broke.
They began to check that the others were okay.
"Tony, Tony, Tony," The Doctor spoke, her voice sounding strange, almost forced. "Oh, you are planning something idiotic."
The Doctor paused and stared blankly as Missy moved over, "I'd warn you against it, but we know both know you wouldn't listen,"
"Humility," Betsy continued, "that's what you have always been missing."
That's when Tony started to notice it, and this wasn't Vision; this was someone else, and in a way, this seemed more powerful or pronounced. When someone else took a turn at being the voice box, they carried themselves like whoever was speaking. Their body language changed, how they held themselves, things so small most people would never notice.
"Get captured, and no problem, find a new renewable energy source and a kick-ass suit."
"You sound like you know me," Tony asked.
Misty spoke up, forcing Tony to turn to her, "Pretty good actually,"
"That's weird because I think I would remember someone who could jump bodies. That's a real party trick."
Saturn Girl chuckled, "Come on, you call yourself the smartest person on the planet- which I've checked you aren't."
Tony scoffed, "Now I know your lying,"
Steve looked at the blue crystal. He wondered if he disabled the setup, maybe he could free them. That's when he noticed the orb seemed to be lighting up.
"Ah," Saiki clapped his hands, "Thank you, Captain. Yes, the Infinity Orb- Ugh- terrible name. Is helping make this chat possible. Don't worry, and I'll give them all back. I'm keeping their minds intact after that little stunt with Thanos."
Rose clicked her tongue, "That was reckless. It could have gone wrong in so many ways."
"Okay," Tony stepped up, "Since we are talking face to face-"
"That's a leap in logic," Gwen moved towards him, "I'm breaking some serious rules. This isn't a live chat. This is a pre-recorded message. Something on Gwen's orb would trigger when things went right."
Reigen smirked, "I mean, I had a low-level field in play; if not, you'd all be asking many existential questions, which would slow you down. Wendy mostly, honestly, would have bet that Wade would, but-"Infinity paused, "Well, you haven't met yet. So don't mind that too much."
Mewtwo hovered towards them, "I am talking too much. Strange was right, and there is one chance to fix this. It's not going to be pretty."
Misty gave them a blank stare, her body shifting into a gaseous form, "We are coming at a split in the road. We make this happen, or Thanos wins."
"Then tell us what we need to do," Tony insisted.
John spoke up, his body shifting in the form of Infinity, "I would love to tell you, but if I did, you'd try to find another way. That's your nature."
Everyone spoke together, "There will always be a cost. If you are going to fix this, there will need to be a sacrifice. Thanos must be stopped if he isn't. What will come from his twisted mind won't be something any you will stand for."
The words hung in the air like some evil omen.
"All right, leave you to it. Go save our existence."
They all gasped, blinking, confused.
Tony rubbed his temples, "That guy… he's a dick."
Steve pondered what Infinity had said. As far as he could see, Infinity hadn't done anything to hurt anyone but may have set it up for sure people would find their way to them. Alexis, after all, only had the technology they used because Infinity gave him an orb. Others on their team had a similar story, and he bought Tony's theory. This guy knew the future but couldn't wrap his mind around why he didn't just tell them. There was more to it than he knew, so they were walking blindly toward a path someone else set for them at the moment.
Steve couldn't help but wonder if it was a dig at him, that sacrifice had to be made. Vision was ready to die to save the universe. It was him saying they don't trade lives that Thanos even got a chance to do. Steve did wonder if he had made the right choice.

Sam Carter was working in her or the lab they had given her. Every scientist worked on different parts or projects, some working on multiple projects. While SGC was working on getting more naquadah, they sent her a small sample.
Next to her hovered a hologram of Shuri looking over her shoulder. They had been instructed how to build an arc reactor, and Shuri sent over prepared vibranium. If this worked, she'd have more vibranium made.
"Careful," Shuri told her,
"I know," Carter breathed through her teeth, "I've done this sort of thing before."
"Not like this Vibranium holds and stores energy, naquadah enhances energy. Stark's element in the mix helping generate power- if there is an imbalance, it would be disastrous."
"I know," Sam insisted. She took a breath as she slid the last piece into place.
As she finished, the device hummed, and Sam quickly moved back.
"I didn't explode." Shuri pointed out.
"I noticed," Sam moved closer to the equipment and saw how much energy was building up. "Okay, the output is stable and much higher than expected."
"A lot higher. Well, I think this is a success."
EARTH SF-5802-SBR
[REDACTED]
SITE-01
Site-01 was one of the best hidden and most well-protected facilities on the planet, but it wasn't enough.
The O5 council had gathered in the meeting room, well, what was left of them. Like everyone else in existence, their numbers had been decimated.
"Welcome, everyone," On a front screen was the man known as the Administrator.
This was a tad unique situation while some of them had seen him before, and while they did put on a show for others to hide their faces in shadows and use voice filters, they never much bothered with each other, but the Administrator rare showed up unless things got dire.
So shit had not only hit the fan, but the fan had fallen off and was on fire.
"I suppose we should take roll." He suggested it was typical protocol to keep a record of who showed up.
"O5-1."
A woman of African descent with silvery white hair was thousands of years old though she looked like she was in her late twenties to early thirties. She wore a grey suit, and the Administrator knew her all the time, which was a very long time, and for the first time, she seemed to show her age. Her eyes were tired, which seemed to show her years. This was Eve, as in the EVE, who led humanity out of the garden, blessed or cursed with eternal life and wisdom by her eating fruit. Despite her near-constant arguments with the Administrator, he had always valued her input. Now she looked like she had lost the will to fight. Eve glanced over to the empty 05-2 chair of Sophia Light, or as Eve knew her Hakama.
"O5-3"
A nearby computer screen blinked, showing the word "Here." That was program ETZ-02, a computer AI that the Foundation had created to monitor all media and data analysts. It had been quiet having seen O5-2 almost like a mother-like figure. She gave him the nickname Al.
"O5-7"
"Present," a black cat-like being spoke from its chair. It spoke with an upper-class British accent. It wasn't a cat but an entity from a lost dimension that had decided to take on this form. Though initially it was contained, it became a council member with its knowledge of other dimensional beings.
"O5-8"
"Aye," A low, almost annoyed tone spoke. The voice belonged to Kay, who they hadn't disproven was Sir Kay from Camelot. He was a man in his thirties with messy black hair and a dark blue suit. Kay could be temperamental and often one of the people most disgusted by some of the Foundation's activities. Kay was strategical, crafty, and had plenty of experience dealing with the anomalous.
"O5-10"
"I am here."
The voice belonged to a feminine-like voice, an alien entity whose body seemed to be composed of dark moss shaped vaguely like a woman. She wore long, almost silk-like robes. Her eyes faintly glowed with light luminesces, and her short hair was just a lighter green moss, a few small flowers sprouting from it. She was an alien they had found in a craft drifting in space. They woke and found her to be a talented scientist, and with no way to return home, she made herself useful by helping the Foundation. While humans could not properly speak her real name, they can come to call her Stella.
"O5-12"
"Here."
Nearby sat a large jar of liquid with a strangely sizeable human brain. That was Juan Garica, and he'd been one of the most talented scientists in the Foundation who devoted everything to the Foundation. As he rose through the rank, he sacrificed his body to enhance his mind, and now he had nearly complete knowledge of every project the Foundation held.
The Administrator took a deep breath, "How bad is it?"
O5-1 sighed, "It's bad."
05-3 flashed a picture of the screw on the screen.
"Yeah, that sums it up." O5-8 agreed,
05-10 explained, "Examining the multiverse, we have examined approximately 300 universes destabilize and watched them become undone."
"And that is just our neck of the multiverse," O5-7 added.
O5-1 Looked on, "It's hard to say how much of the multiverse is going or how long it will last. We are looking at ZK-Class Reality Failure Scenario."
The words hung in place. They all knew that meant the end of everything, and there was nowhere to run or hide. This meant that, on a grand scale, they had failed in their mission to protect.
The Administrator spoke up, "My project is still in effect. There are complications, but I'm assured that with what we have learned from 507 and other similar anomalous."
O5-1 sighed, "And you are trusting Cleft to lead this project? From what we've managed to gather, this universe has countless anomalous beings out in the open."
The Administrator leaned back in their chair, "That's where you come in. There is something I had in mind, and you are just the person to deal with it."

AVENGER'S COMPOUND
In his lab, Alexis took notes as Kid, Maka, Kami, Nene, and Haruna went over everything they knew about souls and how they worked. It turned out to be a lot. While Alexis might have downplayed his knowledge of souls to Constantine, they certainly knew far more than he did. Their metaphysical science on souls was far beyond what he could imagine. The meister had been dealing with souls for a long time. Haruna was just a genius, and Nene was a denizen of the Underworld and had plenty of knowledge. Nene confirmed it was pretty basic knowledge for her people. Eu would have likely been the only person to know more.
Haruna held her head high as they finished their crash course, "And that's pretty simple, everything you need to know about the soul. I'm amazed that your world doesn't have half of this."
"Hm," Alexis hummed, scribbling something on paper and fiddling with some device.
"Are you even listening?"
"Souls act as waves and particles, usually outside the phasing spectrum of most material planes. Both your home worlds seem to function closer to that frequency. That frequency allows your people to develop abilities to interact with souls. Also, why do souls seem to manifest in semi-gaseous forms."
Alexis flicked the switch on the device, pointing it at Kid, "Beep." Then he turned it to Maka. "Beep." Then to Kami. "Beep." Once more to Nene, "Beep."
"What are you doing?" Haruna asked.
The device turned to her, "Boop."
Alexis smiled, "Haruna, you're a genius, I will admit that. But as these recent days have shown me, I'm a genius on a multiversal scale." He smiled, "Yeah, the lesson you guys gave me has taught me how to scan individuals who can interact with souls. I can pick up energy signatures to that effect, and now I know how to replicate it."
"What?" Maka asked.
Alexis shrugged, "I got a prototype going for what I need to build."
"Just like that?" Kami questioned him.
"Not just like that," He confirmed, "to build a proper machine, it's going to take some serious tech and magic. And I will need some powerful artifacts to pull it off and actual soul."
"Ah," Kid interrupted. "You can't be planning on using a living soul too."
"No, no, I would never sacrifice a soul. I just need one to serve as a guiding post for the artifacts. Luckily we have someone with a removable soul and one artifact that should do the job. Just need to figure out how to deal with a variable and ever-shifting frequency that can't be stabilized without an actual soul."
Most of the room was confused by his words.
Haruna, on the other hand, "I'm a genius on a multiversal scale too!"

ORACLE PARK
The baddies prepared their equipment with their new Circuit breaker, and with the previous test results, they could tweak things out, making a smaller device.
"Okay, so when you said dragon…." Jack started.
Elisa smiled, "Oh, I thought you had magic in your world."
"No, I'm not saying I don't believe in dragons. I've met dragons before. I'm just saying should we prepare something. How big?"
"Spicer!" Krag yelled as the device beeped, "Stop your prattling. They are arriving."
Before they were done talking, Elisa walked over as space ripped apart and a rift formed. A pair of red glowing eyes were seen, and Elisa smiled.
"I AM FREE!"
A tall humanoid dragon loamed over them as they pulled themselves free.
"Shendu," Elisa called out.
The dragon paused, "I wasn't expecting anyone to expect me."
"I was expecting your demon sorcerer. I have come to make a bargain."
"A bargain?" Shendu smirked at this woman's bravado. "What do you have that could interest me?"
"Many things, in turn for your servitude, I will help you conquerer your world when this is all done."
"Ha! You wish me to serve you." Irritation entered the dragon's voice, "You think I need help to conquer this world? I tore my way free of the demon netherworld and into this universe. I will not need your help to conquerer this world and then return to conquerer mine."
"Oh! My mistake, I was unclear. We will help you conquerer your world, not for your sake but for Hydra and their true master. You will serve and live; if you serve well, we will reward you."
"Shendu doesn't serve anyone."
"Let's see if we can change that."
Shendu's eyes glowed brightly, but then the energy vanished.
Black Alice walked forward as a dark purple skirt formed around her along with dragon-like chest armor. Her eyes glowed brightly, she felt power flow into her, she levitated off the ground, flames filled her chest, she felt strength and speed, and she could feel injuries she had ignored healing.
"My associate here has just taken your powers," Elisa explained.
"Associate sounds like the wrong word." Alice smirked, "How about the killer?"
Alice fired a blast of heat beams right at Elisa; Elisa's smiled, frowned, and raised her hand. A swirl of green and black energy formed a shield taking the blow.
"You stupid, child," Elisa growled.
Alice fell to the ground in pain, and the powers she took faded. She creamed as black tendril-like marks formed over her body.
Shendu tried to attack at this moment, but tendrils of spectra light sprouted from the ground, wrapping him.
"I'll be with you in a moment," Elisa turned her attention to the screaming teen. "Listen to, and I own you. The moment you accepted my offer, I owned you." She looked around at them, "I own all of you, and you will serve Hydra for the rest of your days."
Each villain felt a stabbing pain like something was trying to tear from inside them. "All it takes is a thought, and I can attack you from the inside. When all this is done, when the Avengers are dead, this world kneels before us; we will go into your worlds and conquer them as well. You will be allowed to serve as our vassals. You will be privileged. But if you attempt anything," She snapped her fingers, and Alice screamed so loudly you'd think glass was about to shatter. With another snap, Alice collapsed to the ground panting.
"Get it? Good."
Elisa turned to the dragon.
"That power," Shendu said, "Even me and my siblings were never so foolish as to attempt to bargain with those you gain power from. The old gods are best forgotten."
"Tsk, tsk," Elisa smiled again, "So serve or die? We will go to your world and conquer it with you or without you. If you accept, there will be a leash, but you will rule your world for us. If not, I've heard dragon bones are very potent for healing."
Shendu hated it, "I accept your offer."
"Good," The tendrils vanished, and Shendu felt the tinge of the dark magic take root in his body.
"Come along, and we have more to recruit."
The other looked on as Elisa walked away unconcerned; they feared her, but now they all knew they screwed, so it seemed their worlds.

WHO KNOWS
Deadpool walked down the road in the middle of who knows. He'd gotten lost a few times. As he heard a truck come by, he held out his thumb.
"Come on! Do I have to show some leg?"
The semi-truck slowed down and stopped, the side door opening up.
A friendly man with dark blonde hair sticking out of his trucker cap smiled. "Where you headed?"
"Somewhere, I think. I'm lost."
The trucker chuckled. He pulled out a water bottle, "Hop on, friend. I doubt that outfit breathes well."
"You have no idea." Deadpool was more than happy to hop on. "Say, not to look a gift horse in the mouth but aren't you worried about letting a masked man with swords and guns just hop on?"
"I don't think so, the world is mighty strange, and I doubt I'm one to judge. Besides, with how the world is right now, I think we need to trust and help each other. Now, if you are hungry, we will be near the truck stop. You won't find a burger as good anywhere near here."
Deadpool kept drinking down the bottle. "Sounds great; I'm Wade."
"Nice to meet you, Wade. I'm Ulysses Archer, and my friends call me U.S. If you don't mind me asking, what bring you out here."
"Looking for some missing people."
SERIOUSLY WHO KNOWS
There were people in cages, or what someone might generously call cages.
The room was dark; they didn't bother with light if they were in there picking them out for their tests.
"Aaaah!" A black mess of goo scrambled in one cage; it crawled over a dark-haired girl. They tried to break the cage to escape.
A young woman with a device attached to her back in a cage across forced her up. Electricity rushed through her, and she was forced to scream.
"AAAAAAAAH!" Her scream tore through the air, making it ripple and shake the cage before the sonic scream collided with the goo slamming them back.
With the problem resolved, the device beeped off, letting the tortured woman collapse to the floor.
The goo writhe, letting it settle to reveal a dark-haired teenage girl.
The girl in the cage nearby tried to reach for her.
"Are you okay?"
She coughed, black blood coming out, "I lost control there."
"It's going to be okay. At least they didn't use her again."
A red-haired girl curled into a ball in the cage on the other side. The device around her would force her to ignite into flames which she'd be forced to use.
The light turned on again as those trapped in cages tried to look away or hope to find a chance to escape.
But all they saw was another body being rolled out to be disposed of.
The more hopeful girl looked on in disgust and rage, "We will have our chance."
She looked at the spider tattoo on her upper right arm.
Author's Notes: Sorry for the delay. Stuff hasn't been great for me lately. Today I'm finishing this up whole going through food poisoning
A couple of notes, when I started this chapter spy x family hadn't started I was hoping to have it out in time for the premire but things happened.
SCP is working on 7000 and I'm still working on my first article, it got deleted so thats a bummer but I'm going to work on it.
So Vision is …not alive I guess but, yeah. Infinity is making sure Tony's plan didn't back fire.
Wade is with a guy with a truck. People are in cages and to quote a king history doesn't look fondly on those who put people in cages.
Also Elsa is messing around powers that a demon dragon would not mess with. So who expected a character from Jackie Chan Adventurers to show?
Leave a review telling me what you guys think.
