Donut Friendship - Chapter 5: Yahaba and Susa Maru
"COME ON! I AM HUNGRY! MOVE YOUR ASS!" shouted a girl as she dragged a boy behind her
"Don't rush me! And where are we even going?!" replied the boy as he was being dragged by the girl by his arm
"SHUT UP. MOVE" the girl replied
The two were Yahaba and Susa Maru. Both of them were students at the Kimetsu Academy and the two were best friends, who spent most of their free time together. People have been gossiping about them and some even think that the two were a couple.
"Grrr..." Yahaba mumbled annoyed as he was being dragged
Earlier, Susa told him that she heard about a place that she wanted to check out and asked him if he would come with her. He already had some plans for the day, but sadly for him, Susa didn't take NO for an answer…
"At least tell me where we are going!" Yahaba asked
"JEEZ, SHUT UP! WE'RE ALMOST THERE!" Susa replied
After a few minutes of walking, Susa stopped and pointed at the store in front of them.
"We're here!" she said
Yahaba looked at the store she was pointing at.
"A… bakery…?" Yahaba asked confused
"Yeah!" Susa replied
"Why… are we at a bakery? If you were hungry, we could go to the tofu shop of my father…" Yahaba asked confused
"The girls at the academy told me that the donuts here are god tier! Normally, the girls are full of crap, but this time, even Ume said that they were good!" Susa explained
"Ye…ok? So, why am I here?" Yahaba asked
Susa giggled and blushed a little bit.
"Well…haha… I wanted to show you this place… because… maybe… this could be the perfect place, for you to ask a girl out… don't you think?" she said in a soft voice
"…" Yahaba just stared at her with a blank expression
"…" Susa was blushing and waited for him to respond
"Yeah… good idea. I'm going hom-" as he responded, he was cut off and dragged bySusa again
"GET YOUR ASS INSIDE!" Susa responded as she took him by his arm again and dragged him inside the bakery

Inside the bakery, Tanjiro was behind the counter, waiting for costumers. As he saw the two enter, he smiled and welcomed them.
"Hello! Welcome! What can I get you?"
Yahaba struggled a bit, but somehow managed to get out of Susa's grip. He fixed his clothes, and looked around the store. Susa in the meantime spoke to Tanjiro.
"Hey! Is this the place with the donuts?!"
"Yeah! People come here for our donuts! Everyone loves them!" But… well…" Tanjiro tried to find the right words
"But what?" Susa asked
"Today was a very busy day and… I don't think we have any left." Tanjiro explained
Hearing that, Susa's smile vanished.
"BUT I'M HUNGRY! I WANT DONUTS!" she screamed, to which Yahaba gave her an annoyed look
"How old are you…" he thought to himself and walked over to her
"Well, if they don't have any, then there is nothing we can do."
"BUT I WANT DONUTS! GODDAMMIT! We came all the way here for nothing?!"
Hearing that, Tanjiro felt bad and walked over to the display shelf with the donuts. He checked it and it was completely empty.
"Oh no…" he mumbled to himself
Thinking about how to save the situation, he remembered something. In the morning, he took three donuts out of the display shelf for himself as a snack. And he hasn't eaten them yet!
"Wait, I have some donuts left!" he said
Hearing that, a smile formed on Susa's face again.
"Really!?" she asked
"Yeah!" he replied and took them out of his bag
"I wanted to eat them myself… but I am happy to sell them to you!" he explained
Seeing the donuts, Susa's smile left again.
"Are those… the god tier donuts? Look kinda plain…" she said
"They are amazing, I can assure you!" Tanjiro replied
Not believing him, Susa looked at Yahaba and nodded with her head.
"W-What…?" Yahaba asked confused
She nodded again, but this time faster.
It took a couple of seconds, but Yahaba figured it out.
"Ah… You want me to pay… Of course…"
"Well… yeah! But if you do that, a cute girl will like you more! Hihi!" she said with a teasing smile
Yahaba just looked at her with a plain expression.

…
"Are you going to tell her that I paid?" he asked
"I'M TALKING ABOUT ME, DAMMIT!" Susa yelled again

Yahaba sighed and walked over to the register. He paid for the three donuts and looked at them. All three looked pretty plain, and it was hard to believe that they actually tasted really good.
"Alright, let's each take one and see how they taste…" he said
"Yeah!" Susa walked past him and picked one
Yahaba also picked one and looked at Susa.
"Ready?" he asked, to which Susa nodded
"Alright, let's do this." he said and took a bite, same as Susa
Immediately, both of them gasped as they took their first bite.
"AH! W-W-What?! How?!" Yahaba asked as he couldn't believe it
Even thought the donut looked pretty plain, it was the most delicious thing he has ever tasted.
"AHHHHHHH! SHHOOOOO GOOOD! MUNCH* MUNCH*" Susa said as she ate the whole thing
After both of them finished, Yahaba looked at Tanjiro.
"You… How do you make these? What is your secret?" he asked
Tanjiro smiled and replied.
"No idea! I don't use any special ingredients and I just make them the way my mother taught me!" he explained
Yahaba looked at the last donut on the counter. He glanced at Susa, who was also looking at it and drooling.
"Susa… I paid for it… It's mine." he said in a serious tone
Susa looked at him with a concerned look.
"B-B-BUT…! I told you about this place! Without me, you wouldn't even know about it! I deserve the last donut!" she countered
Yahaba looked at the donut again and then at Tanjiro.
"You. You will decide who will get the last donut!"
"Hmm? Why don't you just share it?" Tanjiro asked
"NO! I WANT THE WHOLE THING!" both of them yelled

"Ok!" Tanjiro said with a smile
Yahaba took out a coin from his pocket and handed it to Tanjiro.
"You will flip a coin. Whoever wins, gets the donut." Yahaba explained
Tanjiro took the coin and nodded.
Yahaba looked at Susa and asked her about it.
"Deal?"
"Yeah! I'm tails by the way!" she said with a confident smile
"Good, I am head then." Yahaba replied and nodded at Tanjiro
"Head!" Tanjiro said as he flipped the coin and looked at it
"DAMMIT!" Susa yelled again

After crying and screaming for a few minutes, it didn't look like that Susa was about to stop any time soon.
"WAHHHHH! I WANTED THE LAST DONUT! WAAAAAHH! I WASN'T EVEN ASKED OUT BY YAHABA! WAHHHH! THIS SUCKS SO MUCH! WAAAAAHHH!"
Yahaba and Tanjiro were both looking at her with plain expressions.
"This is so stupid…" Yahaba mumbled to himself
Tanjiro leaned over to Yahaba and whispered to him.
"Shouldn't you… cheer her up?" he asked
Yahaba took a deep breath and nodded. With an annoyed expression, he walked over to her and tried his best to cheer her up.
"Why are you crying?"
"WAAAAAHH! BECAUSE! I TOOK YOU ALL THE WAY HERE TO EAT SOME GOOD DONUTS AND TRIED MY HARDEST TO LOOK CUTE, SO YOU COULD ASK ME OUT! BUT IN THE END, YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME THE LAST DONUT AND YOU HAVEN'T ASKED ME OUT! WAHHH!" she continued her tantrum
"Ok! So if I do that, will you stop crying!?" he asked annoyed
Hearing that, Susa stopped crying and looked at him.
"You… you will? Really?" she asked
Yahaba blushed a bit and replied to her.
"Y-Yeah…"
Susa was speechless and wiped her tears. She looked at Yahaba and blushed. Yahaba faced her and gulped, before he started to speak.
"Susa…"
"Y-Yeah…?" she asked as her heart was racing

"You can have the last donut."
"GODDAMMIT!" Susa screamed again as Yahaba handed her the donut
Author's note: In the Kimetsu Gakuen universe, Susamaru is called Susa Maru. Yeah... In the next chapter, two siblings with white skin and red dots visit the bakery!
