Donut Friendship - Chapter 6: The Ayaki siblings
A lone girl was sitting on a bench in the Kimetsu Park. She was licking an ice cream that she bought not too long ago. She had white skin and white hair, same as the color of her ice. Not only that, but she also had red dots on her face and very unusual pupils.
As she was enjoying her ice, another person walked over to her.
"Get up. We have stuff to do…" said a young boy
"Ugh… Let me finish my ice… Rui." she replied and continued licking it
The two were the Ayaki siblings. Both of them had white skin and red dots on their faces and hands. The younger one was Rui Ayaki. He was very popular due to his looks and personality. The other one was his older sister. Unlike him, she wasn't very popular, but she didn't mind that. She never liked being the center of attention.
"Hurry it up…" he replied and sat down next to her
As she continued licking her ice, she spoke up.
"What is it? LICK*"
"The airhead just called me and asked me to pick up something for her…" Rui explained
"What does mother want? And why do you need me? LICK*" his sister asked him
"You will see…" he replied and noticed that she finished her ice
The two got up and left the Kimetsu Park. Rui lead the way and his sister followed him. The two weren't close, so they didn't speak much with each other. After a few minutes of walking, Rui stopped and faced his sister.
"We're here… I think…" he said as he looked at the building in front of them
"A bakery? Did she order something and asked us to pick it up?" his sister asked
"No. It's something else…" Rui replied and walked in
His sister followed him and once inside, the two were immediately noticed.
"Welcome! What can I get you? Oh! Hello Rui!" Tanjiro said with a smile
"Hey." Rui said with a plain tone
"Hello." his sister added
Tanjiro noticed her and asked Rui about her.
"Ah! Is that your sister? You two look very much alike!"
"Yes, but she is not important now, ignore her." Rui replied and walked over to the counter
"Ugh…" his sister mumbled annoyed
"I am here because my mother told me to buy something for her…" Rui explained
"Ah! Lady Ayaki! She came to our bakery a few days ago!" Tanjiro replied
"Yes. I know… I had to pay for her and then explain to her why she should give me back my money…" Rui explained annoyed
Tanjiro just giggled a bit and waited for Rui to order.
"Anyway. She told me to buy her some donuts." Rui added
"Alright, no problem at all!" Tanjiro replied and walked over to the display shelf to pick up some donuts
In the meantime, Rui's sister leaned in.
"Donuts? That's why you brought me here? To help you carry the donuts?" she asked annoyed
"No. You're here for something else." Rui replied
After a few seconds, Tanjiro finished packing the donuts and walked back to the cash register.
"Alright, here you go!" he said as he handed him the bag
"Thanks." Rui replied and turned around to face his sister
"Now it's your turn."
"Huh…?" she replied confused

…
"Pay him." he said as he nodded at Tanjiro
"HUH?! That's why you brought me here?! Just to pay!?" she yelled at him
"Shut up. I paid last time. Now it's your turn to suffer for the airhead." Rui calmly explained
She looked at Tanjiro in disbelief. To her surprise, he just giggled a bit, because he found this situation very amusing.
"Anyway. I'm going. Pay him and then talk to mother about the money." he said as he left the store
"W-Wait! Rui! You little…GRRRR!" she yelled, but it was too late, he was already gone
After seeing him leave, the sister faced Tanjiro and took a deep breath.
"…how much." she mumbled as she took out her wallet
"Hey, do you want to make a deal?" he asked
The girl looked at him with a confused expression.
"A deal? What… deal?" she asked
Tanjiro smiled and explained.
"I still have some donuts left from yesterday! They are good, and it's a shame to throw them away… I was thinking about eating them myself, but there are still too many for just one person…"
The girl raised an eyebrow, as she was curious where he was getting at.
"So, here is the deal! You take some of the donuts and I will give you a discount on the ones that Rui took! What do you say?" Tanjiro asked
"What? Are you for real? How many… would I need to take?" she asked
"Like 5 or 6! And trust me, even though they are from yesterday, they are still delicious!" Tanjiro replied
Thinking about it, the girl nodded and replied.
"Alright… I guess?"
"Thank you! Here you go! And this is how much you need to pay!" said Tanjiro as he handed her a bag of donuts and a receipt
The girl looked at the receipt and smiled as she saw the amount. In any case, she would get her money back from her mother, but still, seeing the total price made her smile.
"T-Thank you… You're a nice guy." she said, to which Tanjiro smiled
She paid the amount and left the bakery, waving at Tanjiro as she left.
As she left the bakery, she opened the bag Tanjiro gave her and, out of curiosity, took out one donut. It looked like a plain donut. She had no idea why her mother asked the two to pick up donuts specifically from this bakery.
She took a bite out of the donut, and then she understood.
"UGH! W-W-What?! MUNCH* MUNCH*"
It was one of the most delicious things she has ever tasted. And these were a day old… so imagine how good fresh ones would taste.
MUNCH* MUNCH*
As she was eating the donuts, a person approached her from behind.
"Hello! How is it going?" said a male voice
The girl turned around and saw a blond guy with a creepy smile standing behind her.
"Girl… did you by any chance… buy those donuts from this bakery?" he asked
"Yeah…?" she responded confused
"Oh my! You are very lucky, you know that?! Not only did you get your hands on the best donuts in the town, but you also managed to meet one of the most famous people in the country! Me! Doma!" Doma said with a smile as he pointed at himself
"Heh…?" the girl mumbled confused
"I know! You're speechless! But don't worry, I do anything for my fans! So, how about this? I spent some time with you, and you on the other hand share some of your donuts with me. How does that sound?" Doma asked with a smile, to which the girl just stared at him
"Hey! I told you to stop bothering the customers!" Tanjiro yelled as he ran out of the bakery
"AH crap! Time for me to go!" Doma yelled as he ran away…
…
…
In the meantime…
"Mother, I brought you the donuts…" said Rui, as he threw her the bag on her lap
"Yaaaaay!" the mother cheered
Author's note: Can they finally give Spider Sister a cute name like Yumi for example? Anyway, at first I wanted to call her Ane - just like her Japanese name, Kumo Oni Ane - Spider Demon Elder Sister, but then decided against it. I want to be lore friendly, so unless they give her a name, I will continue to call her Rui's sister or by her surname, Ayaki.
