Donut Friendship – Chapter 9: Enmu Tamio
After the continuous success of the bakery, Tanjiro and his mother talked about expending. At the time, they didn't have the money for a second store nor the staff, so they decided on something else.
Instead of a second shop, Tanjiro would open up a small stand for one day. That way, they could test out having another shop without the fear of losing much money.
The place for the stand was also decided. It would be at the local train station…
After setting up the stand, Tanjiro got to work and started selling his donuts. A lot of people came through, but not many stopped and bought anything, mostly because many of them were in a hurry. Even after that, Tanjiro managed to sell a lot and made a profit for the day. As the time went on, less and less people were showing up, so Tanjiro was about to pack his things and go home, until a train stopped.
"Ok… this is the last train for today. After that, I call it a day!" he thought to himself
Seeing the different doors open, Tanjiro waited for the people to get out, but something unexpected happen. Nobody left the train.
After a few more seconds of not seeing anyone, Tanjiro was about to wrap things up for the day, but he spotted a figure leaving the train.
It was a tall guy with black hair, a camera in his hands, and with a creepy smile on his face. After leaving the train and looking around, the guy spotted Tanjiro.
"Ahhh…" he murmured with a creepy smile
"Y-You!?" Tanjiro yelled surprised and pointed a finger at him
"Helloooo…" the guy replied and waved at him
That guy was Enmu Tamio. He was a train geek, but he was infamous for his perverted behavior. He often undressed on the trains, which put the train fandom in a bad light. Because of that, he is hated by the other train fans… and by the students, and by the parents… Well, everyone hates him.
Tanjiro encountered him a few times now, so he knew that Enmu was up to no good.
"What are you doing here?! Did you undress again on the train?!" Tanjiro confronted him
"Oh dear! Nice to see you too!" Enmu replied with a smile
"Answer me!" Tanjiro demanded an answer
"My friend… I still have all of my clothes on me, can't you see?" Enmu pointed at himself
Tanjiro saw that he was fully dressed, but he didn't trust him. In the past, Enmu took his clothes off at random times.
"Anyway… let's not talk about me! What is this?" Enmu asked as he pointed at the stand between him and Tanjiro
The train from which Enmu got off left the station and Enmu walked towards Tanjiro and his stand.
"This is my donut stand! I sell donuts here!" Tanjiro replied
"Donuts? I am here often… and I have never seen your stand…" Enmu replied confused
"Yes! Normally, I sell donuts at our family bakery. But today, I decided to open a stand here!" Tanjiro explained
"Huh…" Enmu replied and looked at the donuts
"They look delicious…" he murmured
"Because they are!" Tanjiro added
After looking at the donuts for a few seconds, Enmu looked at Tanjiro and smiled.
"I would like to buy some!"
"No!" Tanjiro replied

…
… Enmu and Tanjiro stared at each other for a few moments
"Huh?" Enmu murmured confused
"I am not selling to you!" Tanjiro said
"Why not? Are we not friends?" Enmu asked with a sad voice
"No, we are not! Last time, you promised me that you will stop taking your clothes off, but the second I let my eyes off you, you took your pants off right away!" Tanjiro explained
"My friend… I am sorry for that…" Enmu replied in a sad tone
"I don't believe you!" Tanjiro replied
"Last time, I took my pants off and ran away. That's true, but I am a different person now!" Enmu explained to which Tanjiro raised an eyebrow
"I promise you, I will never do that again!" Enmu added
Tanjiro thought about it. If anyone felt sorry for what they did, then they deserved a second chance.
"Alright! If you are truly sorry, and if you promise me never to take your clothes off in public ever again, then I will sell you my donuts!" said Tanjiro
"I promise!" Enmu said with a big smile
"Good! So, what can I do for you?" Tanjiro asked with a smile
Enmu smiled too and picked a few donuts. Tanjiro put the donuts in a bag and even gave Enmu the friends and family discount.
"Thank you so much!" Enmu said with a smile as he took the bag
"No problem!" Tanjiro replied
"You even gave me a discount… you are a true friend. Hey, how about you come visit me sometimes?" Enmu asked
"Sure!" Tanjiro replied
"Alright, look behind you! Do you see that white building in the distance?" Enmu asked and pointed a finger behind Tanjiro
Tanjiro turned around and tried to find the building Enmu was talking about.
"Hmmm? I can't see it. I can only see a few gray ones! Oh, there is also a red one! But no white one… hmm?" Tanjiro spoke, and after not getting a response, he turned around
He didn't see Enmu… only a pair of pants on the ground, and Enmu in the distance, running away with the donut bag and without pants.
"HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH!" he laughed as he ran away
"I EVEN GAVE YOU THE FRIEND DISCOUNT, YOU BASTARD!" Tanjiro screamed as he ran after him…
