A/N: And done, Super Late, but I actually have a good reason this time that doesn't involve being sick or playing games. I've actually been working on a whole new story and I cannot lie; It is the most fun I've had with one ever since I started the My Hero story. And it isn't OC focused either, well mostly. What is it? Well I am very proud to introduce *Drum Roll Please*
Sonic: Freedom of the Wind!
Now some would question why I had thought of making a Sonic Story, but I actually have thought of making one before, just with a different idea for it. However I easily say that the success of Sonic these past few years with their movies, Sonic Frontiers and we'll have to see about Sonic Prime have definitely influenced me to finally do one. We actually have a good chunk of it planned out too. I do hope that you'll give it a shot because I am loving it. But I'm sure you want to get on with the chapter first, so we'll talk again at the bottom. For now enjoy!
Setting the Stage of Hosu
(U.A. University, Rising Heights)(Four Days Later)
Rukido was stressed. He hated stress, same as a lot of people really, so it was justified. Why? Because he still needed to talk to Eri about Overhaul. The very person she feared and more than likely why he found her in a torn dress and with scars. The very reason why she had nightmares and feared being alone. Why she didn't feel wanted.
He hated it.
'How do I go about asking her this?!' Rukido thought. He was currently sitting on his bed, waiting for Eri and Ship to come up after playing. 'I don't have much time, not unless I want to deal with that Nighteye guy.'
Hearing the man's name gave him enough insight to look into him. However it didn't help much outside of him being All Might's Sidekick and that he ran his own agency. Just looking at a picture of him didn't send friendly vibes for the man, but he knew better than to judge the man by his pictures. He was a Hero for a reason and a very successful one at that. He just didn't know how he'd be with Eri.
"Papa!" Eri yelled, coming into the room with Ship right behind her.
'Time to face the music.' Rukido thought while sighing. He then got a smile up as Eri climbed onto the bed and hugged him. "Miss me did you?" Eri had merely hummed, showing him a bright smile and making him feel worse for what they had to talk about. Taking a deep breath, he began. "Eri...we need to talk."
"Huh? About what?" Eri asked innocently. Ship at this point joined, sitting on her lap as she let go of Rukido.
"...Listen, you know I will always protect you. Right?" Rukido asked, relieved at seeing her nod. "So you know if I ask for your help with something, you don't need to be afraid either because I will always protect you."
"I know, Papa." Eri said, not missing the worry in his eyes. It was different from when they had first gotten to know each other. This one seemed...sad. "Is...is everything okay."
"...I...I want to ask you about your past. Before you met me. When...when you were still with...them." He couldn't say his name. Not when he saw the happiness drain and become fearful. "I don't want to ask you, know that right now. And I'm not going to allow anyone to take you away from me, but Mr. Nezu wants to confirm exactly who he is."
"..." Eri wasn't responding, yet was still looking at him. She seemed to be afraid still, but was forcing herself to look as strong as possible, surprising him.
"Nezu wants to know about the man who...who did this to you. Kai." He winced seeing her expression pale, but knew he needed to continue on. "If you do then we can put him away. Behind bars and locked away for good, but we need your help. If you can tell us anything at all I-Eri?"
He stopped himself upon seeing Eri's frightened expression. Her breath was rapid, her face paler than before and her eyes were wider than normal. What was more noticeable was that her horn was glowing slightly. Her panic was clear and needed to be handled right.
Meanwhile Eri was in her own little world upon hearing that Rukido wanted to learn about Kai. The memories soon came flooding in. A dark room with white walls and a single punishments that led to no food or beatings. Multiple needles being injected into her to take her blood. Being torn apart and put back together by Kai. It was all extremely overwhelming for her head and it was showing.
'I...I...' Eri's breathing was becoming hysterical now. She could hear his laughter. His insults. The contact reminder that she was a tool for him to use. "I...I..."
"Eri."
She stopped her hysterical breathing, stopping briefly upon hearing her father's voice. Her head was gently pressed up against his chest where she could hear his heart beat while he used his free hand to rub her head. Ship was also gently rubbing into her stomach, purring as he looked up at her worried.
"Breathe, breathe. Focus on me. My heartbeat." Rukido said softly. Eri did as he said, keeping her breathing as calm as possible. She wanted the bad memories to end, but they just couldn't. "No matter what you tell me, it won't make me love you any less. If you're truly afraid about Kai then I won't make you tell me, but I also want you to know something as well." Rukido wrapped his free arm around her to pull her closer, comfort and warmth filling her. "I will always protect you from anything that tries to harm you. It won't be just me either. Everyone in U.A. will protect you, not to mention my mother. You'll always be safe with us, I promise."
Eri gasped at that, feeling the dark clouds in her mind finally begin to fade. It was replaced with the smiling faces of those that she met after meeting Rukido. However her father, Ship and Jiro stood out the most to her, making her heart soar with happiness. She would be safe with her father, along with everyone else who showed they cared for her.
"...O-okay." Rukido looked down to see Eri looking up at him, small tears building up. Yet he spotted her smile, feeling his own grow. "I'll...t-tell you about...him."
"Thank you, Eri. I promise I'll make sure everything will be okay." Rukido said, hugging the girl one more time before picking her up. "Do you mind talking to Nezu about him? I don't think I can tell him by myself."
"I-I don't mind. Mr. Nezu is nice." Eri said, feeling better. "C-can we bring, Ship?"
"Shiiiip!"
"I don't see why not." Rukido said, hugging Eri tight. "Afterwards, we can get some milkshakes and read you a good story."
Eri could only nod, feeling that she would need it after she told them everything. She would say that she feared rejection or hatred, but that would be a lie.
(League of Villains Hideout)
"Is everything ready, Kurogiri?" Shigaraki asked, impatience heard in his voice.
"Of course, Young Master." Kurogiri said, getting a nod from the man.
"Good, tonight we'll remind the Heroes that we're still around." Shigaraki said, darkly. It had been too long since their move at the USJ and needless to say it was considered an embarrassment.
They were beaten by Children, not even Heroes yet and first years at that! He had already seen some of the media's reports on them weeks ago now. While some had perceived them as a threat, there were many that had made a mockery out of their attempt. That they would fail soon enough thanks to the many Heroes out there, especially All Might.
It angered him so greatly to the point where he turned a few things to dust in the hideout. Yet even he could see the truth in what they said. At least in terms of their next move, which was merely going to be an attack on Hosu City. To show the world that they were still active and that they were more than willing to expand out to the people as well as the Heroes. That would show them.
'Several Nomus out and about, causing mayhem in their so-called era of peace will show them all that I'm not to be messed with.' Shigaraki thought, scratching his neck deeply. His master approved of it otherwise this wasn't going to happen. It would be easy enough to use their lesser Nomu to do as they please and wait for the high end Nomus to be ready. 'Soon this whole world will know the reality of our world. About their Heroes. Everything.'
And he was more than willing to spectate the whole thing.
(Miruko's Office)
"FUCKING SHIT!" Katsumi yelled as she was thrown into a wall backfirst. She didn't hesitate to blast herself forward with her palm out, but she didn't get the chance to fire an explosion as she was stomped down into the floor. "Bunny Bitch!"
"I told you not to call me that you little shit!" Miruko yelled, sending another stomp down on Katsumi's back.
"I don't give a shit!"
"Then I'll teach Izuku another lesson then!"
"He ain't even involved in this!"
"He is now!"
Izuku the entire time could only watch from the sidelines with a sweatdrop on his face. He knew Miruko was only trying to rile Katsumi up, but he also knew that she was going to go harder on him either way. It was an effective training season with the Pro Hero, especially given her combat drive and techniques.
Miruko was easily the biggest help to him since Rukido helped him with learning Full Cowling. Between her quick and powerful attacks, he learned how to react faster and to counter even easier with his new found speed. As for Katsumi, she had learned to maneuver herself better around with her explosions and was starting to add more punches and kicks to her combos. It was safe to say they had made a pretty damn good choice...even if said choice spent her time kicking the shit out of them.
But he now knew how to use his legs!
"Take five, Firecracker. You're beat." Miruko mocked, Katsumi growling at her. "Aw don't pout at me. I have a little surprise for you."
"And that would be?" Katsumi asked while sitting up with a glare.
"You brats get to come out with me for a night patrol." Miruko said, taking in the shock on their faces.
"Really!" Izuku exclaimed. This would be his first time out and about in his Hero Costume. Working alongside a Pro Hero too! Katsumi herself perked up, able to hide her excitement through a pout.
"You're damn right! Don't get too excited though, probably gonna be forced to help get people away while I deal with the crooks." Miruko said, her smile never fading. "But you'll at least get to see some real action with yours truly. So long as you can keep up."
"You bet your ass we can keep up Cottontail!" Katsumi yelled, a massive grin on her face. Miruko's eye twitched at the name, but chose not to say anything.
'I'll beat her ass when we're done with the patrol.' Miruko thought, already planning how she was gonna fight both of them. What? She couldn't just leave out Izuku from the pain after all now could she? "Lucky for you, I'm not kicking your ass right now. Get some rest for tonight, we're going to Hosu City."
Izuku perked up at that. Iida was out there with Manual, having been able to keep in contact with him. He was extremely happy that he was talking to himself and Uraraka now. Though he'd be lying if he said he wasn't worried still despite the return to his normal attitude. It wasn't easy to recover from what happened to his brother, that's what he honestly believed.
"By the way, we may run into a few other Heroes while we're there. Try not to embarrass me in front of them." Miruko said while she was walking away. "Remember to rest, nothing else."
She had a Hero Killer to hunt after all.
(Exodus Industry, CEO Office)
"...This is disturbing." Tashiro said honestly, looking at the footage of Stain's breakout. It was a pain to actually keep this under wraps, especially when it came to nosy Heroes. But thanks to some connections between the Police he managed to get it under wraps and make it out as faulty construction. However Stain was out and about, now with a new power in his hand.
He already knew how it came to be. From him gaining Corvus' "Blood" and drinking it. It was how his Quirk worked, as impressive and it was disgusting. The Symbiote didn't just merge with him, it had adapted as shown during the breakout. Stain's style had improved on multiple levels, making him far more dangerous than he was before. Which meant he had allowed a killer to escape with a power that he had accidentally granted.
Not good in the slightest.
He was also quite aware of the possibilities of this new found discovery. Creating brand new Symbiote through consumption of Corvus' Symbiote to create a whole new breed of their kind. Yet as interesting as this development was, it was far from a good thing. It was enough of a pain to control Corvus' Symbiote and it wasn't even that. It was suppressed through various chemicals and they had to rearrange Corvus' head more times than he cared to speak.
'I can't even consider it. One is unpredictable enough as is and I barely got that one under control. To create more would be...monstrous.' Tashiro thought while shaking his head. He had Corvus and thus the original Symbiote. No more than that was needed. For now Stain needed to be dealt with. Permanently. "Mimic, I don't want to ask you to head out so soon after just waking up, but I need this dealt with discreetly and you're the only Agent in Japan available. I need you to terminate Stain, but to also make sure everything of him is turned to dust. This mutation is dangerous and while I am investigating the cause, there is no reason to risk it out. Burn him if you must."
"Understood, sir." Corvus said with Tashiro nodding. "May I request access to the armory? The damage down below shows that Stain has become far more formidable than since I last fought him."
"Given the situation, yes. You and Carmilla may use all that you need. Just remember to be discreet." Tashiro said, earning a nod from his agent. "You're dismissed."
Corvus stepped out in silence, just in time for Mimic to speak up.
'Looks like he isn't stupid. I expected him to catch our spawn.' Corvus internally hummed at that. 'But this makes things easier for us. Kill our child through fire and ensure this never happens again.'
'I'm doing this for the company. Nothing more.' Corvus thought.
'You still think you're gonna be loyal to them? That's cute.' Mimic mocked cutely.
'I will not betray Mr. Tashiro. He is the future of Earth and it's people.' Covus responded back.
'And yet you haven't mentioned a word about me.' Mimic said.
'To secure my own life that you hold. Parasite.' Corvus thought with a growl.
His left arm promptly slammed itself into his own side.
'PARASITE?! PARASITE! I keep you alive and you call me that!' Mimic raged within.
Corvus only ignored her in favor of making sure he wasn't spotted for that. Thankfully there were no cameras and any employees seemed more distracted with their own tasks. He continued his way towards the elevator to find Camilla and acquire what they would need for their mission. Stain would die, no matter what.
(Hosu City, Streets)
Iida followed behind Manual with a smile on his face. He had learned a lot from the Normal Hero, who had been extremely helpful in their training. The man himself admitted he wanted to see how well he's improved since working under his brother and Iida was just the man to help. Naturally Manual had managed to not only keep up with Iida's speed, but also catch him off guard with his water Quirk.
Not only that, but he noticed a huge improvement with his own speed and reflexes. Able to work around some of Manual's techniques and counter them too. There was also the fact that he was able to maneuver on water much better than he had been able to previously. As an unintended bonus, he got to hear more stories on his brother's feats while working with Manual.
Overall, it was a great choice in his opinion.
"Remember; Part of patrol is making sure to stay aware at all times of your surroundings." Manual said casually as they walked. "Even the slightest thing may require another look to ensure it is nothing. Just be mindful to not over do it. We don't want to snoop our noses too deep into the private matters of civilians."
"Right." Iida said robotically, eternally taking notes the entire time.
"You know, you're different from your brother." Manual said, confusing Iida for a moment. "You're a lot more serious, but that may come from you wanting to make sure you do things right. Yet at the same time, I see that you have the same Heroic Spirit that he has."
"O-Oh thank you sir!" Iida said with a quick bow.
'He's a good kid, I guess I was worried for nothing.' Manual thought, smiling in relief. He had initially been worried about Iida coming to him due to his location in Hosu. That he was going to try and hunt Stain himself for what happened to his brother. But it was all for naught it seemed, Iida was as Tensei described him. 'Still I'll keep an eye on him. For his sake.'
(Endeavor's Agency)
Shoko hated this.
To be more specific, she hated to admit the progress she made while under Endeavor. She had never been able to use her flames so well as she did while under him. She was positive that they would be more effective while working with Rukido, she knew that this was for the best. Her fire side was now under some control now yet she was still getting used to using it in unison with her Ice side. Endeavor was helping her, but...well...
She still hated him.
But he was keeping to his word. He treated her as an intern and nothing more. Outside some questions on how she felt during training, he taught her about his side of Heroics. Response time, reaction to certain things and how to handle them. The employees he kept were...fiery compared to her, but weren't nuisances compared to him. Though she did hold her tongue when it came to the praise they gave the man.
"Shoko." She turned her head from her seat to meet up with Endeavor's gaze. "Get ready, we're heading out for a patrol in Hosu soon."
"Hosu?" Shoko questioned, not missing the smirk the old man gave her.
"We're hunting after a Villain. The so-called Hero Killer." Endeavor said while walking past her. "Get ready to leave."
Shoko merely narrowed her gaze before getting up. Looks like they were doing something exciting after all.
(U.A. Nezu's Office)(Later)
Currently Nezu was in his office with Rukido, Eri and Ship, having just finished listening to Eri's story. It was odd to know that someone so young had gone through so much, maybe even more so than him. However even with those thoughts in mind, he had to hold back in showing one emotion.
Rage.
Pure and utter rage.
No child alone should be forced to deal with abuse, but this went very well beyond that. Eri had been taken apart and used for Kai's benefit. He knew for what now too; Quirk Eraser Bullets. As the name implied it erased one's Quirk, but for good. Many Heroes fell victim to this all across Japan for years, but they never knew the source until now.
Eri was the key and Overhaul would stop at nothing to get her back.
"Is...is that enough?" Eri asked, dry tears heard through her sobbing voice. One look from both Rukido and Ship told Nezu his answer.
"Yes, that'll do. You've been most helpful." Nezu said, pressing a button on his recorder. He was going to make sure this gets to Sir Nighteye and Kenji Tsuragamae alone. With Overhaul involved, there was no telling who was in the man's pocket. "I hope you'll forgive me for asking this, Eri. I know it was difficult."
Eri only nodded, leaning into Rukido's side who kept a hand around her. Nezu didn't miss the anger on Rukido's face as Eri told her story, but he managed to keep it under wraps to prevent scarring the girl. Ship fell into the same boat if his narrowed eye meant anything. Though being in Eri's arms had calmed him down thankfully.
"Are we excused sir?" Rukido asked, earning a nod from him. A soft smile soon came across his face as he looked down at Eri. "Come on, I think you deserve some well deserved rest."
"Can...can I still have the story?" Eri asked.
"Of course." Nezu watched them leave, relieved that it was all okay...for now. Sir Nighteye was gonna have a field day with this and he wasn't sure if that was gonna be a good thing.
(Hosu City)(Night Time)
Stain looked down at the city, the Symbiote curling up around him like a pet. It was so quiet and peaceful, yet he knew it wouldn't last. Not while those backstabbing fake Heroes roamed about. No. They were pests that needed to be dealt with. Exterminated.
And as he watched explosions and fire go off in the city of Hosu, a bloodthirsty grin settled on his face.
(Chapter End)
A/N: So this was meant to be uploaded a couple of days ago, but that didn't go as planned. Also yes, I'm still writing during the Christmas Season. Might as well, I don't really have any plans. But hey, consider this an early Christmas present. There...really isn't much I can explain here either. This was all just set up for the Hosu City attack and to have the talk with Eri go through.
That should be all for now, so as usual direct all questions towards the review section. I do only answer them one the next chapter so everyone can see the answer as well. In the meantime have yourself a great day and that you come back for more. Until next time.
Reviews
RedMist86025949: I like your story because you also put out how My Hero Academia is flawed.
Hey there's a fanfiction called My Hero Academia Enter The Spider by Masterob, it's has Mayday in it. (It may suck for having too many crossovers). Everyone hates her attitude and personality because she is just like us, she has common sense, and she is just like her father Spider-Man. While he's got a very misplaced reputation for being whiney and angsty (coming from the second two Raimi films playing up his Woobie points and the nineties being, well, the nineties), Peter Parker's main reason for being so popular isn't because of his powers, but because he'll always do the right thing, no matter what the world throws at him. All she wanted to do is protect the people she cares for, but no they called her a hypocrite.
No criticize Bakugo because the creator of My Hero Academia is picking favorites and that old b*** reason: you'll prove you're just as bad as him and emotions are weakness. And I'm talking about these idiots: Jiro, Momo, Shoto, Tokoyami, Uraraka, Kirishima, and Aizawa. I'm serious he yells at his classmates and they okay with it?!
My Hero is black and white with no gray, and toxic as Bleach.
Hero Academia: They don't believe heroes doing bad (Bakugo, Mineta, Neito, Endeavor), Villains doing good (Lady Nagant, Stain)
Bleach: They're no such thing as Bad Shinigami (Yamamoto, Suì-Fēng, Zaraki, Central 46, Mayuri!) or Good Hollows ( Harribel, Apacci, Mila Rose, Sung-Sun, Nelliel, or Starrk)
Seriously Soul Society supposed to be Heaven and yet Mayuri still alive?!
Sorry if it's too much information.
A/N: Hey, no need to be sorry about speaking the truth. My Hero kinda just...fell apart a bit after the Overhaul Arc, at least for me. There's no real talk about issues within their world, just the Villains at this point. It also makes the mistake of rushing into things very quickly, something I try to avoid when writing any story. Because of that, they ignore important matters within the series in favor of drama created thanks to both Heroes and Villains. Even then, it never dwells too deep within it.
But I will check out that story when I have the chance to. It certainly sounds like my kind of taste. Thanks for the review.
Ushindi: I know you still got your drive, look how far you come with your stories. Keep up the good work and take care.
1. If Izuku did had a quirk, would it change anything? Would Bakugo still be an asshole to Izuku, would All Might still take in Izuku as the next successor and would his life be a little better?
2. How many ladies do you think are smitten by Izuku?
3. What's difference between an anti hero and anti villain?
Answer: Yeah, I may have put that drive towards Sonic at the moment, but I haven't forgotten any of these stories.
1: It would change, just not the way you'd think. Even if Izuku does have a Quirk, it'll depend on what it is that shows it's worth in the eyes of society. Katsuki would more than likely still either hate Izuku for having an even slightly better Quirk than his own or would look down on him for having anything he'd deemed worthless. As for All Might, that'll depend if Izuku still saves Katsuki without a second thought.
2: Really it is just Uraraka and Toga as far as I'm concerned. Least in cannon.
3: An Anti-Hero is someone who, despite being a Hero, uses less than stellar means to get the job done. As for an Anti-Villain, they have more honorable means for their goal, but do so through destructive means.
Thanks as usual!
