Here with a new chapter! I do kind of plan to make this into a series, however I have a LOT to do IRL. I don't really write much due to time. However, I do try my best to write as much and as quickly as possible! Also, sorry if there is any grammatical mistakes or any of that sort, English isn't really my first language. Anyway, here is Chapter 2!

Instagram

When Marco came back, he noticed that Star was still on Marco's laptop. Marco tried to engage her in conversation, but she was too busy scrolling through the normal feed to pay him any attention.

Marco greeted star "Hey, Star, what are you looking at?"

"Oh, just some cool pictures and videos on Instagram. Have you heard of it?" she replied

"Yeah, I showed it to you not too long ago. I'm surprised you're already so into it."

"Yeah, it's just so cool. I can see what everyone is doing, and people can see what I'm doing too." Star said in excitement

"That's true, but you don't want to spend all your time on it. You need to live in the real world too." Marco stated

"I know, I know. But it's just so addicting. I can't help it."

"Well, maybe it's time to take a break. You can't just stare at your phone all day."

"But why not? It's not hurting anyone."

"It's not about hurting anyone, it's about living in the moment. You're missing out on everything around you."

"But I can do both! I can look at my phone and still see what's going on around me."

Marco sighed. He knew he wasn't going to win this argument. He decided to change tactics.

"You know, Star, you could make your own Instagram profile. Then you can post your own pictures and connect with even more people."

Star's eyes lit up.

"Really? I can do that?" Star beamed

"Of course! It's easy. Here, let me show you."

Star pulled out her portable mirror and tried to log onto Instagram, but to her surprise, it wasn't working.

"What's going on? Why won't it let me log in?" Star questioned, "It can call people from other dimensions but not this?"

"Well, your mirror probably doesn't have the right technology for Earth. But don't worry, I have an old phone in my drawer that we can use."

Marco pulled out his old phone and handed it to Star. She started to fiddle around with it, trying to figure out how it worked.

"Here, let me help you. First, we need to create an account."

Marco walked Star through the process of creating an Instagram account, choosing a username and profile picture. Soon enough, Star had her own profile and was scrolling through her feed, posting pictures and videos of herself.

"This is so cool! Look at all these likes and followers I'm getting!" Star said

"Yeah, it's pretty amazing. Just be careful, though. You don't want to attract the wrong kind of attention."

"What do you mean?" Star questioned, still staring at the screen

"Well, there are some people out there who aren't very nice. They might say mean things or try to take advantage of you."

"Oh, I didn't think about that. But I can handle it. I'm a princess, remember?"

"I know, but still. Just be careful, okay?"

Star nodded, but she was too excited about her new profile to really pay attention. She spent the rest of the day browsing pictures and videos, especially of cats.

It approaches dinner and they eat. Star quickly eats her dinner and goes to her room. This is quite strange, but Marco assured his parents she is just excited for what Marco showed her. Marco's parents exchange worried looks when Marco mentioned he showed her the Internet but continued with their day.

After dinner, Marco and Star went to their respective rooms. Marco got ready for bed, but noticed that the interdimensional princess was quite quiet. He knocked at Star's bedroom, to find her glued to her screen.

"Hey, Star. You should really not do that at this late," Marco said.

Star assured Marco that it's all fine and that there is nothing to worry about. Marco shrugged it off and went to his bedroom to sleep. However, Star is still in her bed, on her phone as she watched endless videos of cat videos until she meets something called an "influencer."

Star then stumbled across a post of someone pranking their friend. Star then thought to herself that maybe she could do the same but with Marco. Star then fell asleep.

In the morning, Star had overslept. It was a Saturday morning, and Marco was expecting some crime-fighting or something to come up. Marco looked at Star, noticing she didn't have much sleep. Marco questioned her, and Star said that it was nothing. Marco shrugged it off.

After their breakfast and normal morning routine, Star posted selfies and all that onto Instagram. She started to get a lot of likes and follows. Star was amazed to see how many people were following her.

"Hey, Star, you're getting the hang of this aren't you!" Marco said, looking over her shoulder.

"I know, right? This is so cool!" Star said with excitement.

Marco hadn't quite noticed until he received a message from Janna. Expecting it to be something like she doxxed him or some random bullshit like that, it was Janna saying that Star was fairly popular already. Marco didn't believe it at first, but then looked at Star's profile. Marco was quite shocked, however, upon looking at some of the posts Star had posted and some of the comments she has been receiving, he had some concern.

He then went to Star and questioned her about it.

"Hey, Star, have you seen some of the comments on your posts?" Marco asked, sounding concerned.

Star seemed extremely innocent of the matter, that potential pedos are on her profile. But Marco thought to himself that this wouldn't really matter. After all, they are just comments. But Marco was slightly more concerned about how Star may react to any hate comments or any of that.

"I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, Marco. I'm just having fun," Star said, trying to reassure him.

But Marco later shrugged it off. As the day continued, Star was constantly on the internet. Marco was getting quite fed up with this, and for the first time, he was the one to break the silence.

"Hey, Star, can you get off the internet for a bit?" Marco said, sounding a bit frustrated.

Star looked at Marco, quite irritated that he wanted her off the internet. So she refused and insisted that Marco was being jealous.

"Why do you want me off the internet, Marco? Are you jealous or something?" Star said with a slight smirk.

This behaviour was unexpected, and it kind of did hurt Marco for some reason that he couldn't quite tell. Marco then left the room, quite angry about how Star responded, but also a little hurt. Perhaps letting Star use the internet was a bad idea? And why has Star started to act so differently?
