Chapter 6

"You two are what!?" Robb demanded.

"Fucking finally." Percival sighed.

"I was getting worried." Margaery admitted.

"You were?" Arya frowned. "It was so obvious. They'll marry within a year."

Arthur snorted, but Sansa frowned. "So everybody knew?"

"Please." Arya rolled her eyes. "You two didn't think you were actually being subtle about it, right?"

"We were!" Sansa protested.

"Not one bit, Red." Arthur informed her, clearly unconcerned by it.

"You two were alone in the bedroom at Arya's." Theon pointed out dryly.

"I was feeling bad!" Sansa snapped.

Percival gave her a flat look. "You sure looked like you were suffering a lot."

Sansa blushed and stammered. "I can't believe you, guys"

"Well, I'm happy it's all in the clear now." Arthur declared genially.

"All in the clear? Fuck no!" Robb protested. "There's absolutely nothing…"

"Shush, Robb." Arya cut, rolling her eyes. "No one cares about your opinion."

Robb gasped dramatically.

"And we're officially dating." Sansa finished.

Ned and Cat exchanged looks.

"Sansa, my love…" Cat started. "You do know that Old Nan told us about Arthur climbing the wall, right?"

"I imagined she would." Sansa admitted. "Because it was a stupid thing…"

"It was romantic!" Arthur prostested, not for the first time.

"Breaking your neck is never romantic, Arthur." Cat admonished gently. "But, well… We didn't think he was climbing the wall because he was bored."

"Right." Arthur agreed. "I did it because I'm in love."

Sansa rolled her eyes. "Okay. I just wanted you to know."

"We're very happy for you two." Cat assured them. "You look adorable together."

"And Arthur is a good boy." Ned completed.

"You heard that, Red?" Arthur teased. "I'm a good boy."

If only they knew…

"This was so anticlimactic." Sansa frowned.

Arthur chuckled. "You wanted a fight, Red? I don't have the stupidity to be a Romeo."

They were in his apartment, not even pretending to watch the movie playing on the TV. Sansa's back was glued to Arthur's chest and her lips were red from all the kissing.

She arched an eyebrow at him. "You climbed the wall."

Arthur groaned dramatically. "It was romantic. Oh my god."

Sansa laughed at that. "I don't know… I just expected people to be more surprised, I guess."

"Red, we really weren't all that discreet about it." He told her with a grin. "Margaery knew from the start, Percival caught us… And if you really think they kept that to themselves, you're delusional."

"Robb didn't know!" She pointed out.

"Your brother didn't want to know." Arthur corrected her.

Sansa sighed. "Yeah… You're right." She moved, turning around so she could look at him. She was left kneeling between his legs. "But I'm happy we're official."

He grinned at her. "Are you?"

"Yes. Now I don't need an excuse to be alone with you, and you can hold my hand in public. Win, win."

Arthur threw his head back and laughed. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her, leaving Sansa sprawled on his chest. "I love your priorities, Red."

She grunted. "Good thing you're one of them now."

"Sansa." Arthur growled by her ear. "You're about to get kissed."

Sansa sighed dramatically. "Oh no. How tragic."

She dissolved in giggles when Arthur tumbled her on the couch.

This was… Unexpected. Lovely.

Exactly what she'd been missing.
